//
It began with a sundress.
Don't get it twisted just yet because the beginning of Yoongi's downbad era didn't begin with you wearing one... It began exactly 20 minutes after meeting you.
What a joke, right?
His friend, Seok Jin, had invited a group of people to his family's summer home. The summer home is near a lake and a small town. The shops often closed just before 7PM and that's when Yoongi saw you for the first time. As the group of girls ran to greet Seok Jin and them, you lingered a moment longer, staring at the sundress on display.
Your long hair blew in the wind like a movie. Your smile was gentle and the way it turned into a laugh took his breath away. As you take one more glance at the sundress, you make your way to join the group.
As everyone mingles and continues to roam around the town, you take your time introducing yourself to everyone.
That's the first thing Yoongi liked about you.
You took your time.
Your eyes looked into his a moment more than his heart was ready for. When your hands touched, he felt electricity. His eyes widened and if he wasn't so self-aware about his delusional mindset, he swears he heard bells.
The bells.
But then again, maybe that was just your voice saying his name. That's the second thing Yoongi liked about you. He likes the way you say his name. It made him feel something. It made him feel like someone.
Perhaps thats why Yoongi woke up at 7AM the next day and bought you the sundress. He knocked on your room door and left it in the bag. Half awake, you picked up the gift and laughed.
There was no note written or exchange of words during breakfast. Instead, there was you wearing the sundress and Yoongi's stolen glances.
Then again...
Maybe it was the summer air. Maybe it was the way the sun always set so perfectly behind you. Maybe... It's just summer.
Summer exists for the hopeless romantics. For the people that love with their entire hearts and feel the warmth of the sun beyond their skin. Perhaps it's the sunshine and all the couple-coded activities or the shared ice cream cones... Maybe it's the carnivals and outdoor movies... Who knows.
Whatever it is, summer's lovebug has bit and made Yoongi sick to his stomach.
It has to be today.
Your lips meet his before a simple “hello.”
It irks him.
His mind goes hazy, fighting to understand why he loves the way you kiss him so much but hates it at the same time. Was this it? Was this all he was to you? How could you kiss him like you missed him and not say anything? Did you not mean this?
Did you not mean the way your lips crashed onto his with the kind of neediness he’s grown to crave?
Did you not mean the way you slipped your tongue in, finding his, and somehow redefining kissing for him? It’s just so perfect with you. You kiss him so good. You kiss him just right.
Worst of all…
Did you not mean it when you intertwined your fingers with his? How you hold his hand when you two kiss.. How you hold his hand when you ride his cock, grinding, moaning, and crying over how well he fits inside you?
Oh.
You must mean it.
Because if you don’t… He just might die.
Nothing devastates him more than the mere idea of you not wanting him back the same way he wants you. He craves for you in ways he can't even express with words.
You've bewitched him.
As you kiss him deeper, Yoongi breaks away from you like he's breaking away from a trance. He turns his head, backed up against the bathroom sink.
Real classy, by the way. Texting him to meet you in the bathroom while your friends are all wasted downstairs. But then again, why'd he even go upstairs and follow through? He was no better than you.
While you grow confused, an ache plunges into his heart. He hates doing this to you. He hates to be the reason why you could ever be confused with his actions because all he wants is clarity between you two. He wants it out in the open. He wants it to be crystal clear.
He wants you.
Yoongi catches the way your lips twitch. The way you gulp and inch away because you feel embarrassed. It hits you. The feeling of rejection... And he knows you well enough to notice how easily your feelings consume you. A part of him wonders if you know this about yourself... Do you know how much he wants to save you from yourself? How much he wants to give you constant reassurance and undying love? How much he wants to protect you and be your everything?
He wants it so bad it's beginning to ruin him.
To Yoongi, you're perfect.
With that being said, he still acknowledges your flaws... Like the fact that you smell like a mix of sunscreen and vodka (which he hates) or that you are the most stubborn person he has ever met in his life. That's saying a lot considering his best friends are horny overgrown fuckboys in fiance.
Yet, you take the crown.
You win the title.
You are the only person in this world who can break his heart.
… And contrary to popular belief, Min Yoongi's heart breaks easily.
You must know it.
It's strange to Yoongi how quickly you switch up. How he knows any slight rejection from his end hurts your feelings instantly... But you react tough and cold to endure the agony that rots inside you.
So, he hates this. He fucking hates this.
God, do you even know what he would do to swallow his pride and just be what you need? What he would do to give up his self-respect and live to please you? What he would do to simply be yours?
It takes everything inside him to stand his ground.
Shyly, you place your hand on his chest. You feel his heart beating. It beats fast and loud like it's trying to tell you something. Feeling worried, you look up at Yoongi and ask, “Everything okay?”
Yoongi places his hands on top of yours. Your eyebrows knit together from his touch. Like instinct, you try to pull away. Instead, Yoongi keeps your hand still. He holds them, rubbing his thumb back and forth against your soft skin. It’s comforting… But it scares you, to say the least.
“___, I can’t…”
That’s all he manages to say. Yoongi looks at you and it’s over. He’s lost in your eyes as if it’s the first time he has ever seen anything so fucking beautiful.
You blink.
“Can’t what?” you chuckle, looking down at his crotch. You tilt your head, wondering if he's just talking about his erection. “Are you not hard? It’s okay, bebe. I can help with that—”
“I know you can,” he huffs, “It’s j-just… It’s not that.”
Yoongi inhales sharply, eyes softening as he exhales. He looks at you... He really looks at you.
You gulp.
“What is it then?" you ask, trying your best to keep your tone consistent. "What? ... Are you ending this? I thought third times the charm? Hahahaa… I mean, i-it’s fine if you want out… I’m just confused why you want out. I don't want out—"
Feeling embarrassed, you pause. Your rambling won't change the way he is looking at you. He's looking at you so carefully. So lovingly.. It truly feels like an ending. Again, you attempt to drop your hands. Still, Yoongi holds them.
“Yoongi—”
He holds your hands tighter.
“D-don’t—”
He listens.
... And it’s odd.
For some reason, you didn’t really want him to let go.
“Is everything okay?” you attempt one last time. You ask this, completely unsure if knowing if for his sake or for yours.
“No,” he shakes his head. “Far from it, actually. Everything is everything but okay.”
Your eyes widen. “Are you hurt? Did I do something—”
“Everything,” Yoongi begins his confession. “It’s everything but you. It’s everything but us.”
Suddenly, you realize you’ve been holding your breath. That’s what this feels like… It’s this weird anticipation that you never saw coming. But it’s here and it’s quite literally taking your breath away.
“I’m confused—”
“I think I’m in love with you,” Yoongi confesses. His voice is gentle but stern. You hear every word crystal clear, yet you stand in complete disbelief.
“Actually, no… I am in love with you. I’ve known it for two summers now. I know it for the remaining nine months you ignore me. And I… I, uh… I d-don’t know w-what to do anymore. I’ve tried just about everything and everything…” he takes a second to pause, breathe in, and muster the courage to give you the rest of his heart.
“I'm out of ways of avoiding it. I've been trying to ignore this, and I just... I'm so tired, ___. I don't know what to do… I want every season with you.”
Your throat is dry.
Your hands tingle like they could go numb any second now.
God, there's a pressing feeling in the pit of your stomach and you aren't sure if it's because you're so nervous right now or if you just really have to pee.
Either way, you feel stuck.
You can't find any words to say and your mind runs through a million and one thoughts. From the very beginning, you always thought moments like these only existed in stories.
This couldn't be true...
This was a sick joke.
It has to be.
"Are you going through a heat stroke or something?"
He blinks at you. Realizing he's not kidding around, you put your guard up.
"W-why are you saying this?" you ask, practically choking on your words. "We're fine, Yoongi. You don't have to care about this more than we agreed to. You don't have to lie to—it’s summer! Come on! We have fun and—"
"___, I have never been so honest in my life!" he snaps, awfully offended. "You're not allowed to tell me how I feel. I just spent the past fucking nine months trying to figure my shit out—y-you... You can't tell me I figured it out wrong."
Unconvinced, you poke at his truth again. "Yoongi, seriously, are you fucking with me? This isn’t cool. You’re not funny.”
"Your birthday is my passcode. Do you think that’s cool? Am I funny for doing that?”
You snicker, “a little. Didn’t I do that? Why haven’t you changed it—"
“Take a wild fucking guess,” he hisses.
You tighten your lips. “I… I don’t—”
"I tried, ___. I tried so fucking hard for you. I swallow my pride every time you call me up. I pretend like it doesn't matter when you ignore me come September. I have done everything I possibly can to shove, suppress, and forget about my feelings... But I can't do it anymore. I don't want this anymore..."
In disbelief, you take a step back. "So what? You're done with me because you love me or some shit?"
"N-no! I'm saying I want more for us!" Yoongi hurries to explain himself. "I want us. I want everything, though. I want the morning texts. I want the dates. I want the anniversaries. ___, I want you twelve months a year—"
"And the sex?" you interrupt him, "what does this mean... For us then? For this arrangement?”
"Is that all you care about?"
A beat.
"No."
Yoongi takes a step toward you. "I can do it," he promises you. "I can fuck you all you want. I can eat your pussy out to your heart's desire. I can do and be anything and everything you want, bebe…”
"... So? What's with the confession? If nothing was going to be different—I'm still confused. Are you ending this or not?"
He laughs.
"No," Yoongi tilts his head and gives you half a smile. Your stomach twists and turns when he does this... You feel winded.
Was he always this handsome?
"Fuck, I’m so nervous my words are everywhere… No, ___. I’m not ending us. I could never do that to you... Or to myself. God knows I'd do everything to be with you... So, I'm changing the narrative. Yeah... Let's say that."
"Say what?"
Yoongi reaches to you, pulling you in by your waist. Resting your chin on his chest, you look up at him and bat your eyes. He'll fold, right? He loves it when you do this. Instead, he smirks and leans in.
Against your lips, he murmurs softly and slowly; "___, I'd do anything for you."
"Good. Then let's do this—" You reach to kiss him. “Let’s fuck.”
He stops you. “Do you not get it yet?”
You shrug. “Get what?”
Yoongi feels his heart beat faster and faster. You look at him, desperate to make it out of this conversation. Desperate to make it work—but your uneasy heart finds it easier to resist than to give in.
So, Yoongi does it for you.
Yoongi does it first.
Giving in, he tells you; "Okay… You want to fuck? Fine. We can fuck… Under the condition that you let me be your boyfriend, because fuck it if I can’t have us.”

Music has accompanied the 27-year-old from Logatec since early childhood. He fell in love with it because of his father and grandfather, who were excellent musicians themselves. Besides them, he also had a number of other great teachers who introduced him to various genres, he played in the symphony orchestra and several bands, and just over three years ago, he finally found what he had been looking for – Joker Out, the band that became his new family. A pleasant and open conversation partner, who believed in his dreams and is living them today, gave us an honest interview about what his journey was like before he and his band embarked on the incredible odyssey that started last year before Eurovision.
Tumblr media
Tours are tiring, but also incredibly exciting. // "They wouldn't let me play the drums in music school, because they weren't on the curriculum, so I decided that I would learn how to play them on my own."
"Each of us dreamed about one day finding ourselves where we are now. We're aware that many people don't have that chance. We miss home, we haven't been there very often in the past year, which we've already got used to. To each other, as well. We support each other and we know how to coexist. We're doing just fine, but there are moments when you have to grin and bear it. There aren't many of those, though, because we're mostly having a good time and we enjoy making music," a smiling Jure tells us from London, where the boys have been temporarily living and creating since the beginning of the year.
During our chat, he walks around the city and tells us that life with Bojan, Kris, Nace and Jan is very simple. "Because we're great friends, even though we could all use a moment of solitude now and then. Especially now that we're living in a small London apartment. But we know each other so well that we know what each of us is like, when and why he's in a bad mood, what he needs, and how to fix a certain situation. We're a nice and happy family," he smiles, and adds that they all know how to take a step back, but at the same time, they're firm when they want to emphasise their idea or opinion.
"Sometimes it's better if someone says what they're thinking out loud, presents their idea, and if we collectively latch onto something, we can get great results. It's the same with music," he continues.
LIVING HIS DREAMS AT PEACE
The fruits of their hard and dedicated labour over the past few weeks can already be seen, some are yet to materialise. The band recently sent 'Everybody's Waiting' out into the world, a song that centres the personal thoughts and contemplations that accompany many young people.
"When we make music, we try not to think about other worlds and the audience. When a song is being made, each of us has to feel it and add a small part of what makes him happy to it. When we get to the point where all of us are happy with our work, we know that we created something good, and that's also when people can feel it or find themselves in it," he says.
Joker Out, with their magic and meaningfulness, always take us into worlds where everyone is safe and understood, even when they think they're not. He agrees that a loving attitude towards yourself and others is key in the chaotic world that surrounds us.
"I am at peace with the people around me. I appreciate them very much and they make me even more happy to be in this world." He is grateful for fulfilling his dreams, which he never let anyone take from him as a young musician. "I currently make a living only from music, so I am living my dreams," he smiles.
Tumblr media
After working on the album, the boys are leaving for the European tour.
DRUMMERS LIKE CONTROL
As a drummer, he keeps in the background, but that doesn't mean he lives in the band's shadow. "We're special people. We're happiest if things are under control. Just the fact that we sit all the way in the back says enough. You can see everything from there," he says, and adds that drummers are pretty technical types who are more reserved than the other band members. "We like the space we create for ourselves around the drums. That is our world and we really enjoy it. We're pretty nuts," he jokes.
We also chat about the band's fans, who are a unique phenomenon, as they know all the lyrics. "It's a crazy feeling when people abroad sing songs in Slovenian." Otherwise, he never craved attention and he's pretty introverted. "Out of everyone in the band, I'm the least enthusiastic about hanging out after gigs, not because I don't like the fans, but because I like my peace. I need time for myself after performances, which the fans very much respect and understand. After each gig, we take time to meet people, even if not all of us are there."
Despite looking thousands of girls in the eyes at gigs, his heart is currently not taken. "There's no time for dating. There was none last year, and none this year yet either," he laughs.
STEALING HIS MUM'S POTS
During our conversation, we also touch on his upbringing, and he tells me that he fell in love with music as a child, since his father Mitja and grandfather Cveto were also musicians. "I remember dancing around the living room with grandpa on Sundays, and moments when I stole my mum's pots from the kitchen, took them to the living room and banged on them with full force. All of that moved something inside me, leading me to being a musician today," he's convinced.
Another key moment happened when his father, who was also a drummer, took him to the concert of the guitarist and frontman of Dire Straits, Mark Knopfler, in Tivoli Hall as a boy. "That was probably where it first became clear to me that I really wanted this," he says. His parents enrolled him in the music school in Logatec where he studied percussion instruments for eight years, he played in a brass band and a symphony orchestra, he was a member of various bands in elementary school.
"They wouldn't let me play the drums in music school, because they weren't on the curriculum, so I decided that I would learn how to play them on my own. After that, I had a more and more successful band each year, it escalated until I joined Joker Out," he remembers his younger years, when he was getting to know various genres and enjoying his calling more and more each year.
Tumblr media
"We drummers are special people," says Jure.
FALLING IN LOVE WITH FILMING BECAUSE OF HIS DAD
Music, however, wasn't the only thing he spent years getting to know. In high school, thanks in part to his uncle and his dad, who often took him to the field with him as a cameraman, he worked as a correspondent cameraman and editor for RTV Slovenia (Slovenian national television). "When they were looking for a cameraman at RTV Slovenia, I already knew and understood a lot of things. I kind of miss that job. It was very varied because I spent a lot of time in the field, I was at sports, cultural, and political events. During the time when I was both a cameraman and a musician, I realised that there were a lot of parallels between those worlds."
Now, he sometimes misses a slightly more regular schedule. "I used to be home at four in the afternoon, now I won't be home until May," laughs the likable drummer, who really liked working as a cameraman, but was mainly driven by his commitment to music. Now, for just over three years, he's been part of a band in which he's found something more. "I actually didn't really know how to get to that point, because in Slovenia, we often hear that you can't make a living from music and it might be better to find something else, that it's difficult to survive in the music world, that it's not worth it. But there was always something driving me so strongly that I was determined to prove to myself and others that it's possible."
THE CAMERA IS ALWAYS ON
If you want it strongly enough, you can achieve anything you want, he says. He's sure that as a musician, he will never achieve anything bigger than Joker Out. "Even though I like to emphasise that I'm living my dreams, it's not all sunshine and roses. The music world can be very tough, you have to fight every day, because you don't know what you're getting yourself into and what the result will be. Everything is a little unknown."
While the members of Joker Out are constantly discovering new unknown things in their creative world, they're definitely not unknown on the music scene. They caress our ears and souls with their finely crafted lyrics and excellent music. Their fans can now even hope that these outstanding young musicians will record a documentary about their journey in the near future. "We started recording in 2021 and we have a lot of things in stock that might interest people. With us, it's like this: when we're on tour, the camera can be on at any moment, so we have to be a little mindful of how we behave. Actually, everything is recorded – backstage, travelling, hotels, arguments, as well as lovely moments!"
Tumblr media
The fans are thrilled by his not-at-all-reserved photos.
DREAMING OF SUMMER AND CAMPING
The magical pinnacle of the band's musical odyssey, which started even before their acclaimed Eurovision performance, happened last October in sold-out Stožice. On this colourful journey, they only had a moment to catch their breath at home before setting off again for new adventures. After a temporary move to London, the boys travelled to Helsinki on the 28th of February, where they did production rehearsals, and their European tour starts on the 1st of March. "We will board the bus which we will live on for one month. I'm looking forward to this experience and the bus tour, as it will be our longest yet," he doesn't hide his excitement. The band will come back to Slovenia for seven days at the end of March to regain their strength, then they will have a few performances in the UK, and on the 15th of April, they will lock themselves into a studio in Hamburg for a month, recording the album that was created in London.
"This year, we were home for three days, until the 4th of January, which makes the days spent in Slovenia even more precious," adds Jure, who is endlessly excited for the summer. "I've seen enough hotels in the past year, so I want a genuine holiday like in the old days, when a friend and I converted a car to be able to sleep in a camp. I miss simple holidays in nature and without a phone. That's what I really want this year, at least for a week or so," one of the most charismatic Slovenian drummers reveals his humble wish to us.

I think a lot of the debates between fanfic writers / intra-community hostility (particularly around how 'accurately' characters are depicted in fic and how dominant explicit fics are becoming) are because the purpose and function of fanfic are fundamentally different for different people, and so fic authors play by very different rules while still using the same label of 'fanfiction' to describe it.
There's a spectrum to the purpose of writing fanfic that I think goes from 'fanfic as a form of literary character analysis' at one end, 'fanfic as smashing barbies together and putting characters in Situations' in the middle, and 'fanfic as a safe and communal space for exploring sexual fantasies' at the other end, which is an approach best summarised by this:
Tumblr media
So fanfic writers and readers from the character analysis group might look at the fics written by that last group and go '??? WHY are they writing Mr Blorbo like this? this is so ooc what are they doing?' and the reason is that the fic has an entirely different purpose and is for an entirely different audience. We see so much in-fighting and morality policing over fanfic because people with VERY different expectations, motivations and priorities all share the same space.
A lot of the time when you come across a fic that makes you go 'what the FUCK is this, this is so ooc/fucked up', it makes a LOT more sense when you realise the author is much further towards the 'fanfic as a medium for pornography' side of the spectrum than you are. And when you see people complaining about the prevalence of x reader or explicit dead dove fics, instead of jumping into a pro vs anti 'fiction isn't reality' debate, consider whether they are a 'fanfic as character analysis' person expressing annoyance that it is (often) increasingly hard to find those types of fic.
Both of these uses of fanfic are valid, understandable and important to protect. It's no secret that the fanfic community is dominated by women and queer people, who haven't traditionally been the target audience of erotica/porn, and who absolutely deserve a space to express and explore sexual desires/fantasies. 'Fanfic as pornography' is not above criticism, but I think it's far more helpful to criticise it as you would more mainstream forms of porn.
'Thing X is getting increasingly common in fic and we as an entire community need to step back and consider the implications of X for how it fetishises Y minority group irl' -> yes
'Character A would NOT do [kink scenario]' -> you are missing the point of that fic, I fear
'I think it's frustrating how hard it can be to find fanfic about [theme in original work], everthing on AO3 is all just self-insert or ['''problematic''' ship no. 12457] fics :(' -> this statement is not a moral condemnation of these types of fic. people are allowed to not want to read 'fanfic as porn' fics. we don't need to start fights over this.
Horny fandom please remember you are in a fandom space where people are allowed to want fandom-centric stuff. Fandom-centric people please remember you are interacting with other people, who are allowed to be horny, and that fiction is absolutely the best and safest place to explore 'extreme' kinks. Yeah, it can be annoying that everyone gets crammed into the same spaces when we all have very different ideas of what we want fanfic to be, but this is the way things are, so we need to learn to understand each others perspectives and stop jumping into fights at the slightest perceived criticism of your personal way of doing things

Gotta apologize again for practically swimming in your DMs lately, but I remembered why people like 'Toph x Aang', and often cited Toph's honesty and lack of glorification to Aang as a reason why she would've been a better romantic interest for Aang than Katara. And I don't disagree with that, Toph is much more likely to put her foot down to let Aang know when he's wrong, which should urge him more to grow. But despite Toph theoretically being a better love interest for Aang, I have a question:
Would Aang be a good love interest for Toph?
Because since you, @longing-for-rain , and other Zutara supporters described Aang's immaturity very well, I have to wonder if Toph would be happy with Aang, knowing how hurtful he can get (Desert, Ember Island, did Aang even apologize for those instances?). What do you think? Do you think Aang has the qualities to be a good love interest for Toph? Could I ask this question for Ty Lee too? Because I see lots of people believing that Ty Lee would've been a good choice for Aang, but would Aang have been a good choice for Ty Lee? You know what, let's just get every popular alternative candidate out of the way, since people ship Aang with Toph, Ty Lee, Zuko, Sokka, and even Azula and Mai. Run the gauntlet (if you want to). Would Aang make a good love interest for literally ANY of the main characters?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Unpopular opinion, but as Aang is written in the show... he's not a good candidate for anyone.
Tumblr media
Wait wait wait...
Hear me out before everyone gets up in arms...
This is where we have to acknowledge that Aang is a fictional character and not a real person (we are not going to count LA Aang because technically that would make him an actual person because he is portrayed by an actual teenage boy) therefore everything is written to be as it is. However, because fiction is subjective, we can debate whether or not to treat Aang like an actual person.
So with that in mind, let's begin this deconstruction of Aang's character and how he is not a good fit for any sort of romance as he is written in the show.
Aang's Selfishness
This right here is glossed over many, many times in the show. What I mean by selfishness is the fact that he is unable to look beyond his nose when it comes to other characters and their feelings. In real life, this is a very twelve year old thing to do, but unlike real life there is no one there to call him out on it. Just the writers, and they don't even do that. That coupled with the fact that he is written to be a child, it really doesn't make sense to me. That and he is the McGuffin and 'The One' of the entire show.
Bryke sets it up to be a good show by giving us the premise right from the start, but as the seasons move on, I don't really see any development from Aang. Only the characters around him.
That being said, because you don't get that development, any relationship going forward is going to feel shallow, like most of the relationships (except sukka) feel. Zuko and Katara progress in their relationship well because there was growth from both of them.
When it comes to Aang, he is more concerned with his views than taking a moment to think about everyone else's. Of course, I applaud those who actively seek peace in their lives and with dangerous situations, but Aang is incredibly naive. He doesn't get any better, even when Zuko calls him out on it. We see Aang struggle with the solution, but then Deus Ex Lionturtle shows up and doesn't really encourage that growth.
Because you don't get that growth and him moving past how HE feels, that is where a relationship is going to fall apart. It's not toxic, but if he doesn't change then it can become that way. Again, Aang is not a narcissist. He is just selfish and naive. These are two big things that cost him.

🩷Why Asmo keeps falling in love with you🩷
yes this is part of that series i'm doing where i HC why they wouldn't like you anymore
●You must be one of the most patient people ever; being with Asmo requires a rather high level of empathy, as written in the job description. You keep listening to him on his best days but you are also the first he talks to on his gloomy days. Sometimes he just talks to you because he must talk. At least that's how it feels like.
● Besides baing patient and empathetic, you other best quality is being open-minded. Yes by this I mean that TECHNICALLY he COULD live in a mono relationship but would he be happy? Would that satisfy him forever? Was it ever his dream/goal/ambition? If we look at things in the long run you must be open to compromise on this.
● Following the second point, being a little jealous in this relationship is understandable. It's cute. I feel like he doesn't set boundaries early so if you are the jealous type it can get messy. He can and will tolerate a lot but it could possibly ruin this relationship.
● He also keeps loving you because you are fun to hang out with; you shouldn't get black out drunk every other day, of course, but please go party with him often & gossip like best friends do!!!
● This next one might sound harsh but... he also likes it if you are financially in a similar situation. Listen you don't have to be rich, heck you don't even have to put away savings at the end of the month, just don't have debt. His lifestyle is pretty expensive and I don't think he would change too much of that.
●He might be super friendly and you might feel like he wears his heart on his sleeve but really he can only ever love you for being you! If you re-read this list I made, not many people are like you, or not to this extend, not everything I just mentioned in one. So trust me he was looking for you for centuries but you truly are one of a kind; which is a key for him to keep loving you ;)
● I just think he would never do anything wrong so if this relationship ends, it's on you babe. He keeps falling in love with you through eternity and the only thing that can change that is you not liking him (anymore). Though if he notices signs of that, with a heavy heart but he knows how to let go - he will always love himself as much as he loves you too!

Not every character is meant to be likeable: Jake Disventure Camp.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, as of late I've been seeing people dislike and be annoyed at Jake and like... yeah! He is meant to be exasperating but I don't think that's bad writing at all.
Meanwhile I would absolutely never call Disventure Camp a perfectly written show I will say that it has had very good character writing with having delivered some high notes on both of the previous seasons so now I wanna talk about Jake's writing in All-Stars.
First of all, Jake's writing? Very consistent. Jake's title was the naive one and yeah he is naive. He is paranoid as hell, he is gullible as sin, he is easily tricked by others, he is so easily manipulable to the point of characters pointing that out and all of those traits have been consistent with Jake through his seasons. The newest trait found was Jake's jealousy over Aiden but that jealousy was born over his paranoia and naivety which are both part of his established traits.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also, something to be mentioned is that just like Ellie, James and Riya he has a context and background for those tough edges. We know that Jake's family life is not the best both from the show and from extra material, we also know that he was in a toxic relationship that he later got cheated on which was the breaking point of the relationship. Living with a family that you feel that you're always waiting for a mess to happen, which is implied his parents don't accept his homosexuality, would have easily made someone paranoid which now with a toxic relationship and one of the actual worst things happened to him? Jake is always waiting for something bad to happen and when that bad thing happens he thrives in his own victimization. Meanwhile this was seen in his season this has been more focused on the latest season and not only that but it has been less sympathetic towards him how easily he falls into those spirals of negativity.
Jake has had a lot of focus on All-Stars but also he is one of the characters that has his arc not be resolved at all, just like how Alec, Aiden and Gabby didn't have their arcs finished on their seasons by having other characters take priority over them. Now it seems they're taking their time to finish almost all the arcs they didn't give a proper conclusion to.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, I will say that I don't adore how he is a grown ass man being coddled by women which now Ashley was used for his development even though I know a character like Ashley wasn't made like Grett or Jake where they really thought of making them deep characters. It's still no excuse to have a female character that had already not had a lot of time to shine just be a stepping stone for a male character but it has a reason for it even if I dislike it.
Is Jake a dislikeable character? For some people? Yeah, he is very much dislikeable but also the traits he is disliked for are things that are written to be traits you see as negative. You're not meant to say: "Oh, yeah. It's fine that Jake is a stupid dumbass that gets clouded by his feelings at any moment." because it's obvious that his arc is overcoming those flaws in his character.
Tumblr media
You might find Jake dislikeable and that's alright but I don't think that's bad writing, it's also not wrong if you like him since not only is he an entertaining character in his own messiness (which is that messiness why I find him an entertaining character) but he is a sympathetic character with what we know of him.
You're not meant to like every character, sometimes characters start dislikeable and you're meant to see them grow out of their flaws which after the tenth episode of All-Stars it seems that's where Jake is going.
Ever so often you have to take a step back and ask yourself: "What are the creators trying to convey with this story? Is it me not liking certain traits of a character an intended outcome?"

Hello! I wanted to ask a potentially hardish question. How do you feel about non-Romani engaging with Tarot, doing paid reads, and such? Do you think it's okay for everyone to partake in it? Would you at least want people to be more informed of its origins?
My general attitude, when it comes to anything related to magic, fortunetelling, etc, is that we should be focusing more on cultural restitution and historical authenticity than trying to make a list of who can do what. When it comes to tarot, there's a lot to learn, and a lot to unpack in both of those areas. The short answer is that I don't believe that tarot is, or should be, a closed practice. There is, however, is a deep legacy of racism in the evolution of tarot as a fixture of mainstream culture, and the fortunetelling industry is rife with Romani exploitation. I believe that understanding this, and integrating it into your actions and conduct, is key to developing an ethically and spiritually holistic practice. And I think that applies to all forms of magic and spirituality-- racism and colonialism are very common in magical spaces where historical understanding is not encouraged.
If this is something you'd like to learn more about, I would highly encourage you to pre-order Secrets of Romani Fortuntelling, which is an upcoming book written by my friend Jezmina von Thiele and their Romanistan cohost, Paulina Stevens. Preorders make a huge difference for small publishers and new authors. This book is an authentic new look at fortunetelling practices in Romani culture and I, personally, think everybody who reads tarot needs to buy a copy.
If you'd like to receive a reading from a Romani practictioner, I am running a donation drive for Palestinian families and offering online tarot readings with personalized writeups and graphics as rewards.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My understanding is that tarot, and cartomancy in general, are closely tied to Romani culture and history because they were trades that Romani families developed and practiced as a form of survival work*. The same is true for several other types of fortunetelling and folk magic practices. There is an element of cultural preservation and ancestral custom in a lot of these skills, but ultimately, this is something that was meant to be shared with non-Roma, so it's not a closed practice, in that regard. And it's worth mentioning, of course, that many of these skills and devices were adapted from existing aspects of Western culture. The original tarot deck was, after all, just a set of European playing cards.
Over the centuries, tarot has really taken on a life of its own outside of Romani society, as both a popular practice and object of cultural fascination. There are other cultures who practice divination and fortunetelling for very similar reasons, and because tarot is so universally known, it's become a tool that is shared by many, and I think it informs the way folks approach cartomancy even when they're using other devices. And I think that's really beautiful! Unfortunately, there is also a more painful part of this history that also needs to be acknowledged.
Most modern tarot decks, and much of the basis for how we read them, are the products of 19th & 20th century occult and esoteric movements in the West, which often held an Orientalist fixation on Romani, Jewish, Middle Eastern and East Asian cultures. When you look at the works of Levi, Crowley, Waite, and so forth, you'll find a lot of fabricated histories and colonial fantasies about these cultures, and that informed the symbology with which they designed the formative modern decks we know today as the Thoth and Waite-Smith tarot. In my opinion, Jewish and Romani peoples were the most heavily exploited by this movement. It just goes to show how deeply our histories a diasporic people are connected.
Here in America, many states have legislation intended to police or even outlaw the fortunetelling trade, and you will often find that these laws are based in anti-Romani racism. Furthermore police are known to profile Romani citizens and families as scammers, and a lot of the language used to describe these "scams" in both police documents and the media employs racist language and stereotypes. Despite this, non-Roma, particularly white people, are often able to turn fortunetelling into a lucrative business by using their privilege to safely navigate the legal system's impositions-- and many of these white people love nothing more than to dress up in an approximation of Romani costume in order to give themselves an exotic, mystical air-- just like Levi and Crowley before them.
So, it's my opinion that the modern fortunetelling industry and the last several generations of tarot knowledge were built, both directly and indirectly on Romani oppression. People need to understand this history, and their place in it, in order to understand how they, personally, have arrived at their own relationship with tarot. Once you do understand that, you can begin to incorporate anti-racist intention and action into your practice. If you want suggestions, providing historical acknowledgement and Romani resources to your clients is a great place to start. Being an ally and being in community with us in our fight for human rights is even better. If you own a business or a shop, you can divest yourself from problematic suppliers, or learn how to identify racist books and decks, and stop selling them. Make sure you're not exploiting or perpetuating Romani stereotypes and call other people out on it, too. And if it's possible, really reevaluate the way you have arrived at your understanding of the cards, and how you communicate with them. Look past information that has been sold to you and seek personal authenticity. You'll be a better reader for it.
*What I am describing here is not a universal experience. Some people and some families practice these trades, not all. Romani people are not a monolith, and this is not a defining aspect or Romani culture.

☕️judd winick
Judd Winick has written some very very good comics and some very very bad comics and a lot of comics that fall somewhere in between. Which I guess is true of everyone and not that helpful of an answer, lol.
He is hands down the best writer Jason has ever had - Under the Red Hood and Lost Days are excellent. Superman/Shazam: First Thunder is wonderful. His Green Lantern is largely very good. His Green Arrow started out strong, and his Outsiders run had excellent characterization and introduced some fantastic characters (Grace, Anissa, Shift).
And I think his heart is really in the right place: he came into comics like "I am going to right about GAY RIGHTS and HIV AWARENESS and NO ONE CAN STOP ME." The way he did that often wound up being kind of preachy, or, in the case of his Green Lantern run and the Terry Berg storyline, centering the feelings of the straight hero rather than the gay supporting character, but the more I study the queer history of comics, the more I realize how genuinely boundary-pushing this stuff still was in the early 2000s. (And to be clear, I was reading most of this as it came out in the 2000s and going "Judd, everyone knows this"...but everyone didn't, and the comics industry really didn't.)
But over the course of the 2000s, his work got worse and worse, and with the exception of Lost Days, most of his writing from the back half of the decade is just unreadably bad. I don't know how much of that was him and how much of that was editorial interference (because editorial was infamously meddle-y during that era and Winick's later work was very much in line with the tone they seemed to be looking for across the board), but everything was just relentlessly violent and hateful and exploitative. I ragequit Green Arrow after the issue where Dr. Light waxes rhapsodic about how much he loves raping women, and picked it up again for the Ollie/Dinah wedding only to drop it again when Ollie called Dinah a slut and she hit him and this was treated as foreplay. His New 52 Catwoman was so bad that his Wikipedia article talks about it being bad. Like, bro, what happened???
Anyway, he seems to be doing very well with his graphic novels for kids and I'm happy for him, but I do still wish he'd come back for one really homoerotic Red Hood/Arsenal team up. Just channel that one issue of Outsiders where Dick beats Roy up to cure his PTSD and the bit in Lost Days where Jason calls himself daddy and really go to town, that's all I'm asking.

A Manual of Good Behavior and Polite Accomplishments (Alfie Solomons x fem!oc)
Or the first time that Rose said 'fuck you'.
Tumblr media
Alfie Solomons x Rose Coldwell (ofc). Masterlist
Summary: An awkward encounter between Rose who was 10 years old, and her mother's employer ends with the girl teaming up with Alfie, also 10, teaching Da Vinci, the cockatiel, a new vocabulary. If the old man thinks he can control her, he's wrong.
Warnings: Old fashioned thoughts, even for a story set in 1890s. Otherwise it's just a kids shenanigans.
Words: 1.7k || The title of the fic is a real book that existed back then.|| I missed writing for them as kids 🥺❤️.
Tumblr media
1898
Rose was only ten years old and it was with her mother in the house where she worked to help her. Mary Coldwell was visibly pregnant and couldn't do all the chores that the owner of the house wanted.
Very often Rose heard her mother talking to Mrs. Solomons, their neighbour, about this man: Mr. Clarkson. A rich gentleman about 50 years old, very proud of himself. He's everything a man living in London in 1898 should be. Richard Patrick Clarkson was a respectable man who drunk whiskey and smoked cigars. He played croquet and poker with friends that were from the same old school as he was.
The imminent arrival of a new century wasn't something that Mr. Clarkson wanted. Why, he asks himself, time has to pass? The nineteenth century it was a good century. He grew up in it and he couldn't complain about his achievements and the man he was. He wished he could say the same about the new generations.
He's in his living room reading the newspaper when he saw the daughter of his servant carrying some towels to the bedroom upstairs because her mother couldn't do it anymore. The child was whistling a song that she learnt in school and Mr. Clarkson found that incredible unacceptable. A little girl like her, shouldn't be whistling. That's for thugs and those teenage boys who spent their days bothering people. Whistling shouldn't be for girls, never.
"What's your name? And, how old are you?" he asked when the kid was coming down.
"My name is Rose, sir. I'm ten."
"You're a young pretty lady, Ms. Rose. I have something for you," the man said giving her an old book. Its yellow pages showed that it's some decades old and it had been accumulating dust on the bookshelf. "It belonged to my eldest daughter. She lives in Boston, now. She married a banker and has three kids. I want you to read this and give me your opinion next time you come here with your mother again."
"Oh… okay. Thanks, sir."
The book, thought Mr. Clarkson, it was going to help the girl to understand the importance of behaving like a proper lady.
Evidently, Mr. Clarkson didn't know Rose Coldwell.
The book caused the opposite effect on her. It was written a lot of decades before she was born and undoubtedly it was old fashioned. Something that a girl born in those years couldn't even imagine.
And that was what Rose said to him next time she went with her mother there. Obviously that wasn't the answer that the man was expecting.
"Young ladies do not speak unless a man allows them, Ms. Rose."
"But you asked me, sir. When a person asks something, usually the other gives an answer."
"You're a very disrespectful, girl! At your age my sweet daughter was very educated and knew the etiquette that girls like you don't know anymore!"
"What century was that, sir?"
"You're going to grow up one day, child. And you're going to be one of those who act like a man. Spitting out and whistling like you were doing the other day. Do you know what those women are? Slu…"
"I begged you do not talk to Rose ever again, Mr. Clarkson," interrupted Mary Coldwell, "my daughter's education is my responsibility so I'm going to request you to stop interfering with that."
The woman grabbed her daughter's hand and both went to the kitchen where she was cleaning the windows.
"Did he say something to you, Rosie?"
"No, mom. Nothing important at least."
She couldn't wait to return home to speak with her best friend, Alfie.
Alfie was also ten years old. He knew that after school his neighbour went to her mother's workplace to help her while her younger brother was with their grandmother. But he didn't know that the old man treated Rose bad. He knew her his whole life and as far as he knew, she wasn't very different from other girls he knew from school or the neighborhood.
"We're all whistling that stupid song," he said "how old is he?"
"Old enough to believe that a woman only speaks if a man wants to."
"That's ridiculous. Me mom, she probably can kick his ass if she hears that."
"He's unbearable. Do you want me to help to prank him?" Her childish smile made her friend smile as well.
"Of course, Rosie!"
"Aren't you going to ask me what I planned?"
"I don't care! If he said something to ya, then it's personal!" the boy put a hand on her shoulder "tell us your plan."
Tumblr media
Mr. Clarkson had a cockatiel called "Da Vinci". Da Vinci repeated Shakespeare's sonnets that his owner taught him from the moment he acquired him. The bird also knew other phrases in French and some in Latin.
But any bad word.
Alfie hated birds and it wasn't a secret for anyone around him. Everything started seven years ago when a pigeon ate his loaf of bread. And he never forgave it. So Rose knew that he was going to hate Da Vinci, despite being a cute cockatiel. The plan was simple: taught the bird how to swear. To much Mrs. Solomons despair, her son was good at it.
After Mrs. Coldwell warning, Mr. Clarkson didn't speak with the girl again even when he still thought that she needed discipline. He wasn't against physical punishment, if it was necessary, and the Lord knew that she needed to feel it at least once. But he said nothing.
Da Vinci used to spend his afternoons in his cage next to the window, facing the street and enjoying the view of that corner of London. That day, Rose left the window open and threw a pebble out of it to show Alfie, who was waiting on the other side of the street, that he could approach.
"You're awful, mate!" Alfie said poking the cage with his finger "okay, Rosie needs me, right? And you're going to listen to me, bird."
For two weeks after school, for at least an hour, Alfie stood up under that open window to teach the bird his talent.
'Cunt' was the first word that the bird learnt causing a horror expression in his owner's face.
"It was you? Did you teach Da Vinci that word?"
"It wasn't me, sir. Besides, I thought you told me that I couldn't speak until a man allowed me. And there's not another man besides you here, so I didn't speak. Expect to my mommy who clearly told you do not talk to me."
Mr. Clarkson pursed his lips and with his hand told the girl to leave. His poor Da Vinci was being corrupted and he didn't know who it was.
"It was really fun," Rose said later to Alfie while they were doing the homework together. "I think you did it well!"
"I didn't finish, Rosie. I think I'm starting to understand that stupid bird. Maybe you can try, too. Just say fuck you in front of him, the beast learns quickly."
Rose was still a girl and despite what Mr. Clarkson thought, she didn't behaved like a thug. Her mother taught her well and she did learn. And until that moment in her short life she had never said the word fuck. Alfie clearly was, all the time.
By the end of the third week, Da Vinci was Alfie's best student. And his words were a mix of Shakespeare's sonnets and English slang from that century.
The day that Alfie couldn't go to his usually spot under the window, Rose approached the bird with a cookie in her hand.
"Hello, Da Vinci," Rose said.
The cockatiel looked at her. He knew the girl, so he didn't seem to be upset by her presence.
"Hello, hello!" repeated him.
The girl checked that the door was locked and approached the bird knowing that she was going to say it. She felt it in her heart. Mr. Clarkson would suffer a heart attack caused by the indignation, but the girl was ready. So she said it.
"Fuck you!" and she giggled covering her mouth with the hand.
It felt good, not to say it to the bird because she wasn't. But to imagine the man hearing it. So she repeated it several times. After that she gave Da Vinci the cookie and she ran away from there.
"What did you do, Rose?" her mother asked when she saw her daughter.
"Nothing, mum!"
"Rose…"
"I swear! I just gave the cockatiel a cookie," the girl replied. In part was true.
Alfie hugged his friend when he knew the good news. "It wasn't that bad, eh, Rosie? It's fuckin' easy!"
"I feel like an idiot, giggling after that."
"I want to hear it! It's not fair that only the bird heard you! I gave you the idea!"
"I'm not going to say it to you, Al!"
"Oh come on! I know you're not saying it to me! We're friends!"
The girl looked at him and said it. Both kids laughed out loud, Alfie didn't know but he opened a door that Rose never closed again. Swearing was part of her now.
And was part of Da Vinci, too.
It was six in the morning when Mr. Clarkson woke up. His maid already prepared him the breakfast and left the cockatiel on the same table as he was because the man liked to have breakfast with him.
"Would you like a cookie, Da Vinci?" Mr. Clarkson asked.
After few seconds in silence, he spoke.
"Cookie! Cunt! Fuck you! Cookie!"
The man sighed.
He didn't know everything yet. On his favourite chair in the library he had, was the book 'a manual of good behaviour and polite accomplishments' covered by Da Vinci's poop.
Rose left it there with the intention of giving him the answer he asked for.

btw about Neil Gaiman I periodically agree with the 'Neil Gaiman is annoying' stuff bc I feel like both he and Amanda Palmer seem like people who I would go insane stuck in a room with bc we have very different ideas about art and suchlike. and I also do think that the career trajectory he's on lately is cynically redoing his greatest hits and pretending that was the dream all along when it clearly was not. which is at best meh.
having said which
as far as I can tell by far the most common complaint about Neil Gaiman is "Snow, Glass, Apples is problematic/gross/it's got incest and rape and frames the child as the aggressor"
which strikes me as a weird complaint to pull out of a 40 year body of work tbh when that short story is pretty clearly coming from a place of 'how far can I push this'. like you don't have to like the story. I don't really like the story. but it is. a horror story.
like and this is the thing with particularly 90s alt horror right? a lot of the interest is in transgression and sitting in the worst possible perspective and seeing what happens if you pull those strings. like I really like Clive Barker for example but there's a good chunk of his short stories that I'm like I'm not picking up what you're putting down Clive this seems Kinda Off. but that willingness to write some trite or Bad Message horror fiction that doesn't land is imo a side effect of being willing to try writing uncomfortable and unpleasant fiction at all. which is what horror is for, among other things, it's for creating discomfort as a form of catharsis or engagement.
like I am not a huge fan of the type of sex-horror that pops up in a lot of Gaiman's work and other contemporary horror writers - to me I don't find it upsetting or horny it just ends up feeling kind of edgy and tryhard - but I'm also a bit like. it does seem like a lot of people's beef with Neil Gaiman is that In The 90s He Was A Horror Writer
and this approach to Problematic Horror in Snow, Glass, Apples I find kind of microcosmic of how The Discourse often approaches art in this kind of 1:1 way. if you write a story which seems to line up with rape apologia it can only be because you agree with it. if you write a story about transphobia you're a transphobe. if you write a story that makes me genuinely uncomfortable you're attacking me.
but artwork, especially art like horror that's not necessarily trying to provoke enjoyment as its main response, is necessarily hit and miss. and if what you're shooting for is discomfort then whether it works, falls flat or goes too far incredibly depends on your audience. and making good art - as in art that makes its audience think, art that opens the audience up to discomfort and catharsis and sticks with them and changes them - requires the space to experiment and tbh the space to fuck up. like they aren't all going to be winners and they certainly aren't all going to work for you as a singular audience.
personally I don't see the appeal of Snow, Glass, Apples, less cause it's nasty and more cause it's hack. ooh an edgy monstrous version of a fairy tale where there's lots of rape and cannibalism? you're soooo original Neil. but like. that's fine. I don't really vibe with like 70% of Neil Gaiman stuff I've read but I still like Neil Gaiman because the stuff that works for me really works for me.
idk I think there's a lot of folk on this website who shouldn't interact with horror cause they clearly aren't interested in being horrified. that's not everyone who dislikes Snow, Glass, Apples, but it's a real undercurrent to a lot of the criticism and tbh this kinda vibe is shit for art. making standout art What Is Good also requires being ready to make art which stands out for the wrong reasons. sometimes they'll be the same art to different people.
#red said#not to Cancel Culture this but isabelle fall springs to mind in a lot of how folks talk about stuff like this#like she wrote a transgressive piece exploring her own negative feelings about transness and her anger around a transphobic trope#and she made something which i found really resonant and interesting#and she got torn apart for it because it Might From Some Angles Agree With Transphobia#and I'm not making a direct comparison. because i think attack helicopter is a really GOOD story and i think SGA is gratuitous and hack#but that's the thing right? transgression and discomfort and speaking about unpleasant things in an openended way are KEY#to making art that engages directly with your own pains and angers and discomforts#and that's hard to mediate tbh. but it's also very necessary.#i think as well thinking about Gaiman this is also a thought I've often had about Amanda Palmer#who over the years has written a lot of songs about things i find genuinely uncomfortable or offensive.#and i can engage with 'it's fucked up to tell your ex they transed their gender At You' or 'your partner's suicide is not about you' bc yeah#but#you can't celebrate someone for making confessional music then get mad because you don't like everything they confess#if you only take about your socially acceptable thoughts it's not really confessional is it?#if you only talk about discomforting things that people are comfortable hearing about its not really discomforting#and you can only really discern what's Good Transgressive and what's Damaging Transgressive through doing i think#so if you want challenging art you are going to have to get some art which challenges you and you go hmm no i still disagree#is what i think#so yeah you can hate the artwork but when an artist is specifically setting out to make challenging art it's weird to hate them#for making 50 pieces of art you like and 1 you hate

btw if i could give one tip to the anxious bitches as one myself it would be to avoid accusing people who care for you of secretly hating you like either it's not true and you made them feel weird and like you think badly of them or it's true and you should just bounce but either way this will accomplish nothing

this will be unpopular probably but idk i've been called slurs a time or two and it's personally uncomfortable to see... obviously do as you please in general but when interacting with me or my posts i'd really prefer if yall didn't casually use fag, etc in place of gay and stuff 👍
#gently draws a boundary#it feels like its become hashtag cool to call people fag and fruit and fruity without considering that people may be uncomfortable with it..#i understand the phenomenon of reclamation but thats an opt in process. it shouldnt be opt out#ive written slurs into my fics like once or twice and its solely because i couldnt imagine it any other way lol but for me its just very not#a casual thing.#obviously this is one post#and it feels silly to pin#and even then i dont expect people to look at my blog before interacting or anything#but if you happen to come here often i would appreciate it 😔#also i realized my tags imply people have called me directly that stuff and fortunately not#but its a bit. unnerving to see people reblogging my stuff and saying that two dudes are fags or fruits or fairies or queers (this one#is highly controversial lmaooo i know okay but literally as a noun. it makes me think of my dad telling me about how he used to play smear#the queer but dw he loves me !!! 😬)#anyway seeing people say that two dudes are soooo those. is a bit unsettling for me. it's often one to one with how homophobic people say it#i understand that's not intentional on yall's parts! obviously#lol#but its never going to be something that doesnt make me uncomfortable. and i thought id just say something because tbh it feels weird not to#so i would appreciate if you would be considerate of it#again like. on my blog. talking to me or on my posts. i don't expect any claim to how yall act elsewhere

Many people, including Disney fans themselves, view the Disney Prince (with very, very few exceptions) as a guy who is just....there and the least interesting, compelling, most bland and personality-less character in the whole cast, but the thing is that this stereotype applies to the very old ones (and this is primarily because back then it was damn near an impossible task to animate a realistic-looking human, let alone a MALE human), yet it has been applied to any Disney Prince that isn't Flynn Rider (and quite possibly Naveen, even) and it low-key upsets me because it's far from true. I saw a post that said that there were only two Disney Princes (guess who they were!) that were "worth anything" (obviously stating the rest were just worthless) and that pissed me off. The only time they ever get brought up is to bash the Princessess instead of looking at the positive qualities that they have because, yes, they do have those! They aren't just there to look good and exist. I think they should be defended more because I honestly think they are just as misunderstood, if not more, in some cases.
