Are goose teeth a different thing that normal teeth?
Because birds can't go back into having teeth, but i've seen pictures where geese have teeth.
I suspect the answer to this is fascinating.
Those aren’t teeth, they’re lamellae. Basically, since they can’t re grow teeth, birds keep macgyver-ing work arounds like making their beaks have projections or making their tongues sharp and jagged. Super duper nightmare fuel.

So at multiple conferences I've seen posters and talks about dinosaurs that we didn't think had beaks (and they're wild taxa to have had beaks, y'all), had keratin beaks over the skull that just didn't fossilize, and they found osteological correlates
none of these results have been published, but the minute they do I'm going to cackle.
Every subsequent decade we just get more information about how all dinosaurs are birds, and there are still people arguing living birds aren't dinosaurs?
Fools.
