• Choi Yeonjun is THE girl dad, she’s his little princess and would spoil her!!!

• Junnie sees your daughter and can’t help but to think abt her growing up. - already crying at the thought of giving her away (not in a toxic girl dad kinda way)

• So his goal in life is show her how a man is supposed to treat someone they love (ofc leading by example- lucky you),

• every month he has a father and daughter date. - it’d be weekly if he wasn’t so busy

• They go out shopping, to eat, maybe get their nails done

• If not at a salon, you can count on Yeonjun rocking “by his little princess” nails no matter how much times the company yells at him for his busted nails- he’ll keep this polish on till the next date

• Not to mention he’d put her in every dance activities she can be in.

• Yeonjun doesn’t know if his daughter is gonna love dancing like he does but he’s gonna give her the option pretty dang early

• Why is your baby in a tutu at 2 y/o… idk ask her father bc he just said she came back from her first ballet class.

Soobin (수빈)

• Soobin grew up with boys so you’d think he’d want a boy bc he’s more comfortable especially since girls come with “problem” but the moment he lays his eyes in your baby girl, he fell in love.

• Tho I can totally see Bin w/ a son

• Honestly both

• Soobin is just a gentle parent- it doesn’t help that he feels like he scares them bc of his build

• So he usually lightens his voice and slouches around them

• He was afraid of holding his baby in fear of hurting them

• That didn’t last for long bc binnie is all over that baby

• As they got older, soobin used his height as an asset

• He is THE piggy back giver

• Soob treats all his kids the same but once his daughter comes up it’s over for the son

• His princess will get anything her little heart desires

• Tho he’s in total denial, saying that he treats all his kids the same regardless of their gender

• But you see it, the way bunny ears magically appear when his baby girl calls out for him

Beomgyu (범규)

• I think we can all agree that Beomgyu would be bomb at both girls and boys but I think if the baby was boy,

• he’d see the child as competition.

• Like who is this new born sucking on his s/o titties, that’s his job.

• Gyu would love any of his children but this baby boy grinds his gears (playfully)

• it doesn’t help that his son inherited his mischievousness.

• Don’t call him crazy when he tell you little gyu smirked at him when you yelled at Beomgyu for beating him at a race to the car.

• They’d both go up to your asking which drawing is better

• I truly can’t decided whether he’d but a better boy or girl dad, tbh Taehyun gives me “as long as they’re healthy” vibes

• but that’s good bc he’d treat his kids the same.

• Now Tae’s is kinda similar to beomgyu but in a sense that taehyun views everyone else as competition

• I don’t think Taehyun would have a preference but either way his kid is better than your kid- why bc they stood up by themselves for 3 secs.

• Or bc they held their bottle themselves when you were feeding them.

• There’s no way that kid doesn’t end up in everything, I’m saying sports, combat, dance, instruments, etc -

he’s the kind of guy who always thinks things through with logic, and he’s always sure of his decisions

you on the other hand, have an intuition based logic

freaks him out when you rely on your gut instinct but somehow it always pays off

you can banter with Tendou and you provoke Goshiki all day long but never Shirabu bc you know what’s up

you do however irritate him with mind games, bc you know he’s a little shit who stole your bf’s spot and needs to be taken down a peg sometimes

once you were invited to play laser tag with the team and you whipped out a battle plan that annihilated the other team

alternatively, you show no mercy in monopoly or uno, damn your relationships

it’s actually very annoying how quickly you pick up the rules and nuances to games and use them to your advantage

if you’re both very competitive, it’s usually better for everyone if you’re both on the same team

i actually won’t explain everything right off the bat, bc it’s a project i’ve been working on that actually seems to be going pretty smoothly. it’s a fic i’m writing based off of the selection series by kiera cass. it’s kinda like... futuristic, dystopian society young adult novel, sort of like matched, except unlike matched it doesn’t try to pass itself off as anything but what it is: romance. (no shade at matched though, i personally enjoyed it) basically... imagine the competition of hunger games, remove about 95% of the killing, toss in the bachelor, and add one corrupt as fuck government, and literally deep fry this shit in romance, and you have the selection.

basic run down: in the future america is now called illea (except im just using new america in my au bc there’s supposed to be an accent over the e and listen idk how to do that on a computer) and instead of a class system (lower, middle, upper), it’s a caste system. a caste system means you are born into your social status with no chance of moving up or down unless you either buy your way up or marry into a different caste. there are 8 in total, and 4 is about modern day lower middle class and everything beneath that is pretty much poverty/lower class. these castes also dictate what jobs you can do for a living so... gotta love that.

the actual plot of the series revolves around the pinnacle event of a generation: the selection. in illea the heir to the throne chooses a spouse through a process called the selection. forms are sent to all eligible young people and they can choose to fill it out and enter it for the chance of being selected. it’s SUPPOSED to be random but nah they can’t possibly let an ugly one into the batch, so usually advisors hand pick the participants and just say it was random. because of this mostly 2s and 3s are drawn with a handful of 4s or 5s sprinkled in to help it seem random.

once selected they go to the palace and literally... all date the heir. that’s... that’s it. he/she/they have a pool of 35 people to pick their future spouse, one from each province.

im not sure i can actually recommend you read the selection series, unless you’re a total fucking sap like me. it’s not a riveting action novel like hunger games, and it’s not super exploratory into the dystopian society (i will say the setting is EXTREMELY well developed but like, it’s not as indepth as say the giver, or brave new world), it’s exactly what it says on the box: romance.

the romance itself is very well written and keira cass definitely knows how to make character leap out of the page, i was just always frustrated with the main character and the stupid love triangle she’d gotten herself into. she’s actually very well developed, relatable, and most importantly flawed. she has real problems and real emotions and doesn’t always react well, and i like kiera’s honesty in her. the supporting characters are equally 3 dimensional, and except for maybe That One Character Who’s End I’m Very Upset About, every character is given a satisfying and fulfilling ending. no one gets jilted (except celeste i cri every time).

oh also the 2 books about the main character’s daughter? yeah, VERY well done. at first i thought for certain it was just gonna be a rip off, but it wasn’t. i loved it. i’d die for two people maxon and eadlyn. eadlyn REALLY grows throughout the novels and kjsdhfakjdhf can’t get over her. i wish we’d get some sort of extra novella companions like she did for the first set, but alas...

also the book covers?? are stunning. as a person who loves that stuff i was really drawn into them, especially The One, and The Heir. those were incredible.

You had free periods last most of the time so you started working at a coffee shop after school to help out a bit with college funds

You were basically on autopilot taking orders and making drinks as all the teens poured into the closest coffee shop from school so you didn’t even notice poor evan trying to get your attention

“Um hi i’m evan but sorry, you probably already know that, because we go to the same school and you’re y/n and you’re in my math, english, and french classes but sorry, i just realized that that sounded like i’m stalking you and i’m so sorry i’m not i swear it’s not like i just creepily sit around and calculate how much time i spend with you each day that would be so weird i’m sorry”

‘Don’t worry about it, evan! What can i get for you?”

‘Oh well i’ld like a hot chocolate but there’s so many people from school here and they’d think i was so stupid and immature if i got one so could you maybe say it was something else that sounds better? Sorry that’s so weird i’m asking you to lie that’s so awful i’m so sorry’

you were just overcome with giggles because how cute can you get? He was shifting his weight back and forth and steadily gazing at the clock on the wall behind you to avoid having to look at you

but then evan got even more nervous (if that’s even possible) from your giggling and was like ‘oh god i just ruined this, i have no chance with them, i should just leave’

And he was turning around when you realized what was going on and obv started reassuring him that it was fine and no problem

He had spent so long working up the courage to talk to you and ordering that by the time his hot chocolate was ready there wasn’t even anybody left in the store lol

So you went over and sat with him while he drank it

And poor baby evan was just out of his mind because there’s a cute person who i really like??? Sitting across from me??? And trying to talk to mE????

so he could barely pay attention to what you were saying bc he was busy marveling over how pretty you were and how nice you’d been to him

and you’d just asked him how heidi was doing, and if you could get him a muffin to give to her bc she stopped by to see you on her way home from the hospital all the time

But instead he just blurted out ‘do you wanna come home for dinner? Mom’s supposed to get off early today? Not as like a date bc that’s ridiculous right?? Oh no, not like that i’ld love to go on a date with you! You’re so pretty and nice and smart and i’m just me? And oh god that seems like i’m some creepy guy hitting on you i’m so sorry i just made it awkward didn’t i? I’m so sorry i messed this all up i’m just going to leave now sorry”

And he starts to run away from you for the second time that poor boy

But then you kiss his cheek and say that you’ld love to go to his house for dinner on a date as soon as your shift is over

And he goes bright red and starts stuttering because he really wasn’t expecting this and he had no idea what to do other than stand there and blush with the biggest smile ever

And so he waits with you and tries to make awkward conversation till your replacement comes and then you drive both of you back to his house

And when you get there he tries to unlock the door at least four times but keeps dropping the key or turning it the wrong way because he’s so nervous

And once you finally get in the house he’s so nervous about where you guys should go to wait for heidi

‘We could stay down here or we could go up to my room but that’s so weird and it sounds like i’m trying to have sex with you i’m so sorry’

You end up going to his room and he has all these posters of different types of trees and flowers hanging up and he goes on and on about how amazing and beautiful they are and you just listen in awe because he’s not stuttering or panicked at all and he’s just so cute??? How????

but he thinks you’re being quiet because you don’t actually want to spend time with him and you’re just doing it out of pity so he stops talking all of a sudden and notices that you’re staring at him and suddenly thinks he has something on his face

‘do i have something on my face this is so embarrassing i’m so sorry that’s so gross i’m sorry’

and then you tell him it’s because he’s just so cute when he’s passionate about things and he goes bright red again

but manages to choke out ‘you’re kinda,, you know,,,, cute all the time’

And suddenly your’re blushing too because that’s the most forward evan’s been

so you ask him if you can kiss him and he gives you this really shy, hesitant knod

and you lean in and kiss him really softly and gently on the lips

and the kiss is just so pure and sweet and poor evan is just in heaven?? like you pull away and his eyes are still closed bc that was his first kiss and it was so perfect???

but decides he really likes kissing you so he goes in for another one

and this time it’s longer but it’s still just the softest, gentlest thing you’ve ever felt because tbh this boy is just an adorable baby kitten

And it’s just kinda getting a bit heated when heidi walks into his room bc you two were so caught up in each other that you didn’t notice her getting home or knocking on evan’s door

And poor evan just blushes so red and heidi’s so shocked bc evan never brings any friends home let alone a date???

but she recovers and gets very awkwardly re-introduced to you by evan and you giver her the muffin and life goes on except for poor baby evan who’s still so embarrassed

but she leaves after asking what kind of pizza you guys want (and telling evan to use protection which makes him turn more red if that’s possible)

and evan starts frantically apologizing and working himself up so you just kiss his cheek and hold his hand and reassure him

And when he finally calms down he gets really shy so you kinda gently nudge his shoulder and ask him if he wants to be your boyfriends

And evan’s just so elated he can’t stop saying yes and he just launches himself into your arms and starts kissing you bc he’s had a crush on you for like two years and he can’t believe you like him back

And ofc he’s such a gentleman and he apologizes right after for not asking you first and starts to shrink back into himself but you promise him you liked it very very much and that he can kiss you like that whenever he wants

He turns red again lol poor boy
