I HAVENT DONE AU RA YET but I love the lizards…. My best friends lizardguys. I haven’t gotten to endwalker yet and I know there’s a few more auri characters in there so…maybe my ideas will change But

au ra are I think probably the most diverse species out there just based on HOW MANY lizards exist and how BIG the azim steppes/doma/their reach is. I don’t know if I’d divide species traits by xaela/raen or if they all share that diversity, but I’m tempted to say there are fewer raen, most of whom are either in solitude or hanging out in doma, and they kind of remain proud of their celestial lineage, so they on the whole have more often “draconic” traits, while xaela with their many different lifestyles on the steppe on the whole will be more diverse. Like eastern dragons versus every other dragon species

so! between everyone I think their scales are Way More, most of which are very very hard and difficult to scratch or dent but some of which are soft like some reptiles wherein it’s not necessarily a scale, which sheds layers (like turtles shed their scutes), and more like skin, which sheds in flakes (like snakes or geckos). Au ra whose scales are soft like that are generally the same types of au ra who can pop their (also often soft and thick!) tails off at will and regrow them. Most au ra have very tough, muscly scaly tails, anywhere from big thick crocodile tails to thin draconic tails to tails that have ossified spines or clubs at the end (like dinosaurs!). Since they’re so strong, they can be used to emote — hitting them against the ground is a happy sign, while dragging it against things is Not. Also kids tend to grab and pull them a lot, which leads to the common thought of tail pulling being seen as kiddy. It is quite rude to do to an au ra as an adult. Their scales can sometimes spread to cover most of their body, and sometimes be restricted to the forearms, face, tail, and legs. their horns (aside from being basically ears which I think is cool, they must be pretty complex organs on the inside — I think they can shed but only the tips, like goats, and breaking any further is both really hard and very harmful not only to their ears but because they’re full of blood vessels!! Be careful! ) aren’t really used for fighting or anything they are there for hearing and temperature regulation and in defense. Au ra don’t really, like, sweat? They’re warm-blooded, but don’t sweat. So an important thing to keep in mind if you’re going into the desert is that overheating looks different in an au ra vs another race (lethargy, drooling, and unfocused eyes are your main tells). many of their horns point forwards to block their face. so no, sleeping isn’t that hard bc they sleep like loafs, but yes kissing is hard :( that’s not really a thing they do unless someone else wants to they snuggle and rub scales. so says yoshi p

Protofeathers are basically dinosaur fur - they are NOT feathers. They’re little hollow filaments somewhere between a feather shaft and hair. These ones are pretty stiff. That’s why au ra hair can so easily stick right up like a cockatiel. Some au ra have been noted to have protofeathers on their neck and arms like fur too :0

i have been. Speaking for a long time. uhhhh let’s see they have feets anywhere from plantigrade (clawed, kinda geckoey) to digitigrade (DINO!!!), their claws really need trimming often bc they don’t stop growing, they are not obligate carnivores like hrothgar but like miqote they need more meat than they do veggies, and it’s sometimes very hard for a non- au ra to tell if the big growl they’re doing is happy or not because big growl is how they purr! Like wolves going HHRHRRRRRR (happy). Also im obsessed with their limbal rings im so sad they’re so faded in the graphical update. they gotta glow. Most au ra are also colorblind in some way BUT! They can faintly see infrared

Also in researching lizards i found out that some lizards and frogs have like a third eye that can’t See like images but it CAN detect light and darkness and stuff? It’s called a parietal eye! Garleans… is amphibian (taking notes) /j

do you think ghouls ever heal "wrong"? bc their healing is so rapid. like, for example, if naki broke his arm and just left it all dangling and crooked, would it heal crooked or would it straighten itself out? if ghouls ever /do/ heal wrong, what do you think are some weird things that can happen?

They sure do!

Ghoul healing is amazing, but not impervious. There are many ways that it can go wrong, and inevitably a ghoul is going to meet those conditions and end up something they can’t fix. There’s four main reasons why ghouls heal wrong: genetic problems, age, starvation, and damage that’s just too extensive

Genetic problems that mess with healing are more common than you’d think, maybe it’s an rc mutation that makes it hard for it to bond, or maybe it’s small rc pathways in some parts of the body, but whatever the reason, some ghouls just can’t regenerate right through their whole body or just some parts of it. Ghouls that have little to no regeneration are rare and tend to die quickly, but many ghouls have regeneration issues in specific parts of the body, common spots are the digits and ears, places where rc pathway problems are more likely to be a problem

Very young or old ghouls have regeneration problems. Those who haven’t reached puberty yet don’t have fully finished rc systems and are still growing, so damage often doesn’t heal right or all the way. Same goes for the very old, their bodies aren’t what they used to be and don’t always recover from what used to be small injuries for them

Starvation means a lack of energy and rc cells, which is the fuel and raw materials for regeneration and without it there’s only so much they can do. Extremely extensive injuries cause a similar problem of the body running out of energy and rc before it’s done fixing everything. These are the most common reasons for regeneration problems

When ghouls bodies are unable to regenerate right, either from a lack of resources or a genetic problem, it causes a last resort attempt to slap together anything it can to just get the body barely functional. Sometimes that means gashes and cuts scarring over to keep them from bleeding out, sometimes that means limbs tapering off into stumps rather than full arms and legs, and sometimes that means hack jobs of twisted limbs and organs that don’t work right

Smaller examples of this are surface scars or small missing parts. It’s common for ghouls to have a few, a raised line on the skin here, a milling eye or finger there, small things. But if someone got really messed up? They could have small limbs that stopped regenerating too early or internal organ damage from lungs and livers that were twisted by the body’s desperate attempt to salvage what it could

Ghouls that heal wrong can have very weird things going on. Often what’s left of a major badly healed injury tends to look more like a birth defect than a scar. Arms growing back and then stopping, looking like birth defects. Fingers stopping in sharp points. Scars that sometimes look like stripes or markings than wounds. There’s so many ways a body can fail to heal and one that fails to regrow complex structures makes WILD mistakes

As for positioning during healing, it’s very common for ghouls to have to re-break and cut through things that healed in a bad position. Ghoul parents teach their children to splint broken bones and keep muscles clear while healing. One of the first things they do when trying to help an injured ghoul is pulling their limbs straight to make them heal clean or, if the bone and muscle is completely fucked, amputating the splintered tissue to let it grow back clean

The ghoul body has an amazing knack for piecing itself together, and generally it’s very good at regrowing bones and organs the right way, and as long as they’re fed and resting they’ll be fine with minimal abnormalities. That said, those minimal abnormalities build up over time. The rare ghouls who make it to old age tend to be twisted by layers upon layers of injuries that didn’t fix quite right. Old ghouls tend to have crooked jaws and limbs and muscles that don’t seem to be shaped quite right, and that means they’ve survived a lot

Shadow's development Headcanons

Started off looking like more of some .. creature than a hedgehog

Like way too many or not enough limbs, especially because of the Black Doom DNA

I'm imagining him having one eye and being more of a scaly texture but still oddly goopy lol as well as not having hands or fingers and instead having some tentacle type things

Between getting experimented on and his normal growth he eventually grew to look like a normal mobian hedgehog with some key differences

The differences being, the whites of his eyes having a light green tint, too many teeth, every joint is double jointed, quills that are unable to fold down/look relaxed, sharp claws, etc, etc

I also think it'd be fun if one of his feet had one or two extra toes :3

I think at some point during his development he looked like Stitches alien form (from Lilo and stitch)

Whether he can still regrow the limbs now, Gerald manually rewrote his DNA, or one day he just lost the ability to use them is up to you bc idk

Maria watched Shadow grow up essentially from a weird amoeba looking splotch to a semi grown Hedgehog

I headcanon that Shadow's body didn't look like it does now when he originally went into stasis, and he grew while in containment

Hedgehogs aren't supposed to lose quills unless they're under high stress. I think Shadow sheds a lot by nature, and he frequently has to brush his quills to make room for the new ones growing

Teaching Shadow to talk was a rough process. Mostly because he didn't always.. have a mouth.. or hands... so Maria and Gerald had to be on top of figuring out new ways to communicate, just in case

Perfecting his design was painful, Shadow could gain or lose random parts of his body, organs could be grown wrong and bones had to be corrected and moved over and over again, just for the sake of a "perfect" life form

They'd put Shadow back in the Green Tube when they knew a long process was going to be painful, but sometimes he would need to be awake so they could watch his development, but I would hope at least Maria would fight for these processes to be as few and far between as possible

The first words Shadow said were "Maria", "sister", and "pick up"

It took years before Gerald was finally happy with Shadow's look, and even after that he was still being experimented on to track the progression of his steadily growing powers

Things like his enhanced memory, speed, agility, strength, etc

I think Shadow was given his inhibitor rings for ease of retrieval and containment, and it was an easy way to keep track of his powers while not letting him over use them

This is not to say there was nothing redeemable about his childhood. He technically still has good memories to look back on, after all he still had Maria

Reproduction hcs a little expanded on even (sfw parts of the hcs sent to the other account)

Drone kids in general:

- Drones do not reproduce sexually, obviously, instead they buy the pill baby/untrained networks shell and combine their codes (I heard the code combining part is canon?)

-> to combine their codes the parents use USB ports stored in their fingers to each copy parts of their code and transfer it into the untrained network (theres some in between step of them shuffling what parts of whose code is used before they transfer the finished code to the baby to give it conciousness.  Don't ask me what that step it) -- they can customize some stuff like LED default color (can be re programmed later), some quirks/traits that aren't too closely embedded in the base code (the solver is too embedded in the base code so the parents have no control over passing that down), base parts for future personality or leave that randomized

- this is kinda canon? Liam mentioned in Glitch X that it's most likely like this: Drone children get their consciousness transferred into new bodies at certain ages until they reach the adult model (hc - some parents choose to instantly put them in an adult model bc ut saves resources, but the kids still age normally and need to basically get "updates" or "patches" whenever they hit a certain age in order to mentally age up)

-> (yes that implies Khan [and Nori] purposely chose for Uzi to be considered short bc they got her the new shells)

- Unused kid bodies + Untrained Networks can either be kept to pass on/down family or friends or can be resold

WD x DD "hybrid" kids:

- due to DD coding having the headbands be their  "real" eyes (according to concept art, the show supports that they at least store multiple visual functions of theirs) / their main way of identifying their surroundings (screen is like a camera,  they arent blind without the headbands just lack a lot of enhanced abilities, which can cause disorientation and confusion) that means that WD x DD children often come out visually impaired from their DD parents code,  as part of their sight code doesn't match a default WD body. (I guess you COULD  argue that the DD parent could literally just donate their own head bc they can regrow them 💀 but I'll leave that idea up in the air on if they're even compatible with a WD body or would be in tact enough to be re purposed lmao)

-> the DDs let some WDs take a closer look at their headbands so for these situations they could re create them. They're way less advanced,  so a WD x DD kid still will have way weaker sense of their surroundings than their DD parent  but better than their WD parent, but it's better than having them run around half blind. The parents need to get them custom made for the kids needs and install them to be connected to their screen either themselves or have someone who knows how to do it install them

- Hybrid kids usually get a WD core bc the Colony doesn't have access to DD cores, unless they are ripped from a DDs destroyed and discarded body (Fever lab scraps, or consciousness moved to a clone)  which are hard to come by but can be acquired if the parents really want it (parents need to organize that themselves,  way too dangerous for a mechanic to look for!)

-> the next one ties into this so I'll add here that DD cores are slightly acidic (nothing near the pure acid if stabbed)

-  any DD features have to be custom made, that includes tails, as stated above headbands, wings, acid containers (can only be made if they have a DD core bc it produces the acid [see above point]!), custom limbs, and any internal containers/pumps for acid & for storage of oil reserves to avoid overheating

- speaking of, kids can still have DD/Solver traits like weakness to the sun or struggle with overheating, they're passed down the same way via code as a regular drones quirks/traits -- they can't really be actively be chosen or customized as they're too embedded in the base code (like the Solver itself -- since those traits stem from it)

- Hair is just wigs, it makes no other sense in my head (don't ask why DDs re-generate with the wig, I've no idea. I just pretend they don't and that they have to grab it from their old head /lh) so the parents & kids have full free range with customizing the little terrors appearance (like if they want it to match with their parents[like Uzi & Nori or Doll & Yeva!] or want smth completely different, most tend to match tho)

Hello there do you have any scoop to Michael head cannons?

Hi! Oh boy, where do I even begin lol. I really love scooped Mike and over time have a few different ideas for how remnant actually effected him.

One is that after being scooped and possessed by the funtimes, he actually is in no way alive, but is in fact a ghost haunting his own corpse. He possessed some of the metal left behind by Ennard in him so like the animatronics, his body is now more of a shell than actually him. However, he still has to take care of it bc he’s still stuck there. None of the injuries heal leading him to have to spend a lot of time sewing himself back together, especially since the threads don’t last forever and sometimes end up snapping if he doesn’t replace them in time (I also love thinking tho he changes the colors of them based on holidays so for example, around christmas he’ll do green and red. Kind of just learns to have a little fun with it after a while bc the rest is very much not fun). Granted on the bright side, if one of his limbs do end up falling off, he can just reattach it and is still able to move it after. Unfortunately his ghostly status does not keep his body from rotting and he tries using everything from perfumes, body spray, febreeze and car trees to keep himself smelling decent. He usually piles the layers of clothes on to help hide the fact he’s technically a decaying corpse. The remnant in him helps to slow the process a little and keep his body in sort of a stasis but least to say, by time fnaf 6 rolls around, there’s not much of him left leaving him content with staying with the others in the fire bc he doesn’t know how long he would last otherwise.

Another version is that after Ennard left, the leftover remnant in him actually did work to heal him. It had already started seeing as when Ennard goes to leave, they no longer could using the same entrance due to the hole in his stomach now being closed. However, it’s a really slow process and actually takes a few years to complete as it first has to fix internal damage like regrowing organs before moving onto external damage like his half rotted skin. Injecting more remnant would technically make it go faster but something he’s reluctant to actually do seeing where it comes from.

Just some miscellaneous hcs:

The scooper actually didn’t remove all his organs. It ripped a hole in him but the main removal happened but Ennard making its way in and punching everything else out.

He can’t eat anything but he can chew gum leading to him always having a pack on him.

When Ennard left, it actually only took the pieces worth that contained the actual consciousnesses of the AI leaving quite a bit of metal behind in Mike.

His voice has a more metallic tone to it after.

When Ennard first possessed him, it pushed out his eyes in order to replace them with their own, leaving him temporarily blinded.

Sometimes he can still hear the funtimes arguing in his mind and has to take a second to remind himself that it’s not real and that they’re gone.

I feel like I could go on about this forever but I’ll end it off here. I’ve written about a few of these before but there’s so much more I would love to write about and explore more in the future. I love thinking up new ideas around scooped Mike and thank you for giving me the chance to ramble a bit about it here :)

bhjbcbcdskcbsdhb bugs!!!!! my bad i got very excited for a moment here.

my favorites are moths - especially the io moth and the metalmark moth - and centipedes / millipedes!!

for the latter two. i used to see a bunch of centipedes when i was a kid and i would spend sooo long just watching them, so in the end i just- latched onto them i guess. centipedes and millipedes are pretty similar ig, with the main differences being their diet and the way their legs are positioned (millipedes have two pairs of legs per segment, centipedes have one pair only)

also really interestingly- neither centipedes nor millipedes have an exact number of legs. so nope, you won't find one-hundred legs or one-thousand legs on these bad boys but also. centipedes can regrow their legs!! if you find one missing some, it's probably that they lost it from an attack and are waiting for it to come back

oh but there's more because i could also talk about the ways they protect themselves from threats!! centipedes have long legs so they can move fast, so their defense mechanism is just- to smell extremely bad. millipedes are slow so instead they just curl up in a ball. i just think they're fascinating and i love creepy-crawlies <3

there's sooo many species of moths and all of them are just- really interesting?? i guess? it's kind of hard for me to explain why they're my favorites because they just. are. the io moth has roots in greek mythology (which was one of my old interests) and the metalmark moth is really cool because it imitates a jumping spider to protect itself (and i also love spiders)

mimicry (^imitating another organism) is one of the most interesting thing in nature imo, i could also talk about it for super long

i am really curious with the lore you're making! this is a bit of a strange question, but what happened to his teeth? you mentioned that the candymanification happened inside out and he had a fever. how "inside" is a person's mouth? even if it doesn't count as being inside a person, his mouth must of transformed at some point so

did his teeth fall out? did his tongue melt? could he still breathe like a normal person at that point? does your candyman have bones? or is it solid yellow? if only the inside was transformed, and if the candymanness is sort of melty or malleable, does that mean that if you mushed his arm it would indent? i love body horror and the question of teeth came to my mind when i looked at your art again

HI OKAY IM SO SORRY IT TOOK LIKE A MONTH FOR ME TO FINISH THIS ASK i adore thinking abt this topic so much but like halfway thru writing this response i got so excited and had to walk away to stim but ended up forgetting to finish this. anyway i did it everything written here is from months ago except the last paragraph

these are all rly good questions bc i dont know most of them!!! i was thinking earlier and i think i came to the conclusion that the mutation progressively melts fran’s bones and turns it “candy” along with his skin. as fran became more mushy and melty the barriers between organs, bones, skin, etc (eyes being the only exception) kind of all melted together and became the same thing. his teeth got all gooed up and melted/became one with his mouth. same with his tongue, it melted with his mouth. though after the mutation was complete and candyman learned how to work with and transform his body better, he just reforms his tongue sometimes like for comedic effect.

to go further on this topic of francis/candyman (actually im gonna call mid-mutation of him frandyman thats funny) learning how to transform his body, at first he struggled heavily with breathing since his throat+lungs began closing and melting in on themselves. eventually though he was able to transform his body to compensate for this and somehow find another way to get air to his brain, or he just opened his throat back up again im still not 100% sure on this part.

candyman doesnt exactly have bones, but his body does kind of have layers to it. during frandyman the mutation would spread in a red->blue->yellow gradient, and the reds+blues are still in his body despite not being visible. the red is the first layer and is EXTREMELY hard so it practically acts as bones, blue being the second layer and being not as tough, and yellow being the third and having the texture+softness of skin (though still feeling like Not Skin). i have an explanation for why candy’s mouth is red despite it being the first layer but idk how to explain it and id like draw a diagram of it but itd make me look insane So. Come to your own conclusions . also candys able to change the texture, malleability , etc of his body and its how hes able to walk through walls.

during frandyman his body was VERY melty and malleable and he hadnt learned how to control his body yet. whole limbs would just melt, fall off, get disfigured, merge with other limbs, etc without him even doing anything. though because of, Brain Instinct? not sure but it would automatically grow frandy’s limbs back without him knowing how to or that he’s even doing it. when he became candyman he could regrow his limbs much much easier, it all just kind of comes down to how well he could control his body and how it progressed during the mutation.

a plothole i noticed in Candymans Fucked Up Body is that im not entirely sure how his blood and organs would work. i considered his organs melting entirely and his entire body being The Organ That Can Perform Everything The Other Organs Could Perform but that sounded lame. how his brain would work during all of this is the biggest one to me, because i imagine it was heavily impacted and disfigured but shouldnt be entirely melted because the man needs a brain somehow to live! the main thing im going with right now is that the red layer of his body isnt like, a solid chunk of red, but like a hard HARD shell and it protects the organs who are now like massively fucked up and disfigured but somehow still pumpin. i may change this eventually, but its what im going with rn so ! blood is also interesting for me because there’s no space in between each layer for blood to be stored, and the layers themselves dont have blood in them and are completely solid. so for now came up with that his skin kind of acts as his blood, when it’s cut it kind of just. melts on the inside and seeps out of the cut. also of COURSE his blood is silly colored (red, blue, yellow again)

also since this ask was from like a month ago ive decided that candy’s mutation had symptoms similar to like, a mix of rabies and radiation poisoning. both in the sense of once the person has it they have no idea they have it until it comes into full effect, the only sign for like the first week being mild sickness. ALSO fun fact he physically cant sweat since his skin is Not Skin. his sweat builds up underneath his skin and just causes his actual skin to become all mushy and squishy. Anyway tldr they fucked this guy up

the sisters all probably (when not in their usual coats and ponchos), wear stuff similar to different sorts of fashion eras, such as elana wearing punk or rock era stuff, yvette wearing 90's era disco stuff, gida wearing modern or kinda over cliche futuristic era stuff, and hal wearing classy 1860 style attire.

while halsea's fungi probably should have left him already due to her body being basically drained of blood, it also seems to be in a dormant state so it can act as limb glue until or if it resurfaces.

hal's horns are removable! and can sometimes regrow to form a halo in the middle of the four horns.

gida got her facial scars from a statue that hadnt settled right, and exploded in the middle of making it. she still has a few peices embedded into her neck and nose.

elana is known to shoplift really frequently at her day job but tyla has so much poly lesbian mutual respect that she just doesnt care most times

yvette made her own prosthetics and had queen octavia help refine it! she also is very good friends with octavia they play chess on break days

and now for the uhh Anomalies

ame has a v specific structure for vocal and music boxes so it will be very tricky to fix.

chene is sort of a hybrid of robot and organic, but has mainly robot parts. the exception being their stomach mouth and her wood mask which is practically fused to their face from one of the fires at the cabin.

about the fire also fintil got her charge input and the top part of her face burnt from that! she also cant think well from it as her chips are pretty fried from all thats happened

and lastly dough resents mirrors bc they fuck with their brain quite a bit cause theyre in denial still about being thrown from their stage.

Mimameid, who is a primal beast connected to Yggdrasil and only awoke recently and is wandering aimlessly trying to find a purpose again. They eventually find themself at Raphael's farm and is taken in and now helps him there.

They're usually quiet and withdrawn, but slowly start to liven up after they start living with Raphael and experiencing the current world

they also get passed around like a hot potato between all the primarchs and mima is now their new little uwu

Dalya, who is an Erune who has been living for an immensely long time due to a sentient parasitic plant using their body as a host. Though it intended to take over, Dalya's will proved to be too much and it is now the buried consciousness while Dalya remained in control. They no longer age or heal like a mortal anymore. Instead the plant has overtaken the body's organs and they now gain their energy from the sun, while when injured they do not bleed and the plant will seal off any openings and will begin regrowing whatever was injured or lost. While they are regrowing, it will look like plants and flowers are growing on them until they eventually peel back and reveal a newly grown part to replace the old one

They're now chaotic and self serving as all hell, rarely ever acting on behalf of others unless they can benefit from it as well, and they aren't shy about putting themself and others in danger of it can get them a desired result.

also they can unfortunately vibe with lobelia, which worries everyone, and they've caught seofons attention bc they essentially can't die and have shown that they can use their parasitic partner's powers to their advantage in a way that could end up putting many in danger depending on how they use it

ok so we all know lilliane vaude fucking HATES finral. like it's an entire thing she's out here deadass telling a child "i dont love you because you're not my son". (she has inferiority issues huh. mad about being a second choice are you?) anyways. i was like 'what if it was worse!' and it did that.

so lilliane on her power trip is like "what if i tortured my stepson :)" and she has a facility in her basement that's theoretically to discover the limits of childhood mana but it's really because she hates her stepson. initially it's just finral down there but she's like "oo you know i gotta find subjects that Aren't finral or else if im found out people will Talk"

enter luck, yuno, and asta, subject numbers 17, 34, and 35 respectively. they're brought in fairly young. luck's put to work fighting and "disposing of" useless subjects (except for finral (1) because unfortunately lilliane cannot kill him bc that will be A Problem). yuno with all his mana quickly becomes one of her favorites, and asta uh.

it's an issue that he doesn't have mana. it quickly becomes not an issue when lilliane ramps his healing factor up to 1000 and now he can regrow organs. so, you know, if finral nearly dies again, she can Fix It.

langris trains against luck (but luck's severely inhibited) to become a magic knight yes he's involved and he has punched spatial magic holes directly into multiple people. he's got a body count of peon children.

anyways asta and yuno make it out by asta dying and ressurecting himself in the Body Pit and yuno throwing such a fit that lilliane just straight up leaves him to die. therefore they escape with their memories and make it back to hage with x100 trauma. asta's goal to become the wizard king is to protect yuno from this happening again bc he blames himself for yuno being taken. yuno on the other hand is like "if im the wizard king,,,, i can fucking Kill Them" he's mad.

finral and luck on the other hand get their memories blocked off and released bc lilliane isnt about to deal with their grimoires yet. now they're out with a bunch of weird scars that neither of them remember. owen is VERY confused.

canon continues as normal up until the magic knights test where langris whoops finral's ass and asta's like "OH YOU THOUGHT" langris realizes exactly who he is and is like "oh. oh no." and immediately tries to kill him.

the elf thing happens before anything goes on but julius got mad suspicious after asta uniquely introduced langris to the crystal (ft yuno freaking out) so after the elf bullshit he's like "hey lilliane :) what's up with uh. with uh. your uh. your lab?" and she's like "oh yk just stuff. you can request an examination if you'd like" and she specifically requests finral + luck bc "i dont want a biased investigation". yami of course has her bitchass READ and sends magna and nessa along with them bc luck, magna, and nessa would Eat Her.

it ends up being just magna and nessa. being confronted with the fact that your life's a lie and you spent your childhood in a laboratory does shit to people. it's a disaster, both luck + finral completely lose it and revert to subject-mode, lilliane Dips Out after magna and vanessa make it out with the others, asta has 37 brand new panics to deal with because now luck recognizes him and his particular breed of trauma has been exposed to the entire squad, yuno becomes even more homicidal. (sylph is terrified btw)

julius ends up smiting lilliane after a very traumatic trial where the captains read all her bullshit files and it's very cathartic for everyone involved (especially sister lily and father orsi, they're angry for the sake of their boys). langris Dips after the trial and yuno catches up with him to Fuck Him Up.

trauma squad back at base is currently undergoing healing (ft ness and mags grieving/relearning their partners). umm yeah its very fun for me personally.

((May I ask what your headcanons are for sinners coming back after getting killed in hell? How long it takes, if they're regenerating from their remains or fall out of the sky or just wake up somewhere, what it's called, etc?))

((I think they regenerate from the largest piece, OR the largest piece that's connected to a, for lack of a better term, "core" body part.

"Core" body parts are the brain or the heart, because of their symbolic "this is where the soul/identity of a person is housed" value.

So if a sinner is mashed into pulp except for one arm and one leg, then the body regenerates from the leg because it's the biggest piece; while the arm (and the rest of the pulp) rots like any other dead meat.

On the other hand, if they're mashed up except for the head and the leg, the sinner regenerates from the head because it's still got a brain inside.

If they're TOTALLY shredded then the biggest shred wins, good luck regrowing from that.

They don't "wake up" until they've healed enough that their body would actually support life.

I haven't decided whether a whole brain or a whole heart takes precedence because I've never written a scenario where I've needed to consider it lol.

I also haven't decided just how much the brain/heart need to be destroyed before they're no longer viable, and/or how big the size imbalance can be between the biggest piece and the biggest-"core"-body-part piece before the rules of the universe go "ok this is silly, I'm letting that brain/heart die and letting the bigger chunk over there regenerate instead."

I'm sure there's a mad scientist somewhere in Hell who's carved out other sinners' brains and hearts, laid them on separate tables from their bodies, and sat and watched to see whether the brain, heart, or body would regrow. But I'm not that mad scientist so you'll have to go ask them about the results of their research.

If the cause of temporary-death is a matter of missing flesh/blood loss/whatever, the body will just sorta magically regenerate the missing matter somehow. idk how. Maybe the matter teleports into place from the rest of the body as it decays. I haven't blown a character to chunks yet so I don't need to think about the whole "conservation of matter" issue yet.

If I wanted to be scientific about how long this takes, I'd probably be like, what's the fastest rate human tissue grows at? Probably the 9 months during which a baby grows right? Whatever that growth rate is is how fast a temporarily-dead body can regenerate flesh without any other complicating/helping factors. But don't actually hold me to that because I haven't done the math and someday I might find that doesn't work with a story I'm trying to tell.

If the cause of temporary-death is injury or illness or organ damage or whatever, then the body will just kinda,, casually ignore the fact that it should be dead, and the cells will scurry around repairing the damage. The more damaged it is, the more time it'll take. Doing things like pumping a dead body full of medicine WILL help it beat the disease and wake back up faster.

(Imagine if you were part of an army invading a city and you successfully killed the whole population but then the population rose up as zombies and killed you and a month later the next invading army sees that the city's healthy and everyone's alive again. Would that be messed up or what. That's the viewpoint of a virus in an Osmosis Jones movie in Hell.)

I haven't worked out the exact math for how long this would take on any potential causes of death bc there's too many things a body can die of and I'd have to look into various specific things like "but why don't cells just keep doing their thing for several days after the heart stops beating until they slowly run out of energy to power them? Yes i know the answer is oxygen but WHY oxygen—" in order to make up a BS fantasy explanation for how cells operate in the absence of what they need to operate.

The only thing I've decided is "roughly the maximum amount of time you can drink yourself to death is about a week and a half, MAYBE two weeks." That doesn't mean that's the maximum brain damage POSSIBLE, just that if you're some kind of professional alcoholic who knows how to drink fast enough to maximize the alcohol in your body without getting drunk so fast you throw it back up before you pass out, "enough damage that it will take a week and a half to undo" is as much damage as you can get into your brain all by yourself.

No science went into this specific decision. I decided this because "you drank yourself to death for ten days??" struck me as a number that was big enough to be horrifying but not so big it starts to lose its impact. "Ten days" hits harder than "one month" because 10 is bigger than 1. See? Logic.

I don't have a Specific In Universe Term for the whole process yet, out of universe I just call it "regenerating" and in universe I usually just have them say things like "you died for two days" or "after that headshot I woke up in a friend's room" bc it sounds more natural & casual. Terminology's gonna vary between characters based on what fits them; someone who died recently & plays video games will be more likely to pick up "respawn" for example.

If I were to make up a Specific In Universe Term I'd probably dig a bit through old school Christian ideas around resurrection and/or the soul after death to see if any medieval scholar's already thrown out some esoteric idea that fits the bill; if not, I'd probably pull out something Latinate.))

I’m not going to advertise ABD again here but he was right regarding the awakening of Asta and Liebe’s union mode. One point I completely agreed with in his video about the last chapter but I didn’t expect that Asta would see Liebe’s memories this soon.

I wonder if Asta will end up using the mistletoe sword against Lucibear- I mean Lucifero. The dark magic has been effective against him before but in the end Asta’s antimagic is still the ‘super effective’ attribute against devils, so it seems. So like with what happened during the Dante fight and taking Yami’s katana it could possibly happen in this fight.

Forget what happened to the 4 fighters in this chap. WHAT HAPPENED TO MEREO!? Dear Mereo, either you die… or live long enough to become a fire spirit yourself.

With what Luci did to Yami and Nacht, the dude’s gonna catch Whack’s fangs! I’m prepared to travel dimensions just to snap all of his horns and shove them into his ass— (*cough* *cough* Does he even have an ass though??? Alright that’s enough, back to the story)

Future predictions.

After this arc, I could feel that it is headed toward the plot of 4th Zogratis’ ideology of acquiring undying bodies. AND! Depending on the event if Asta will indeed die as per Julius’ prediction, if Asta does die then un-die(is this even a word!?) because of “shounen protag syndrome-plot armor magic” this would further prove the point that undying humans are indeed possible. (I also have a theory on how this could potentially happen, so if somehow my prediction about it is right then it's not actually a complete plot armor nonsense. Tabata has laid down certain elements to make it happen.)

With the potential 4th Zogratis arc I have a hunch that Grey will finally be even more relevant in that part. Grey’s backstory is still incomplete. Her name is still unknown and her magic is really special. Grey is currently the BC universe’s ultimate healer. If anyone knows Jojo Bizzare Adventure, she’s basically like Giorno. Her transmutation magic is actually op, and potentially groundbreaking. This girl is closest to achieving what the 4th Zogratis wanted- an undying body. She can transmute organic material as shown when she healed Gauche. Healing magic in BC is said to be only able to accelerate regeneration and not regrow lost limbs. By converting inorganic material and change it into living cells it’s as if she can recreate cells and quite possibly artificial bodies. I’m pushing it but potentially she could create something like a homunculus in Fullmetal Alchemist. Sally can create human clones too, but needs Rades to put souls into them.

So yeah, Grey arc next pls!

The MC in Hungry Joker has gravity abilities. Following Einstein’s theory of relativity, gravity affects both space and time. Luci being the most powerful one makes sense. But don’t make me explain this, I barely understand the science talk. However, story-wise it could explain how it would take both the space devil(Beelzebub) and the time devil to go against the gravity devil(Lucifero) to match him in power.

Basically what I’m saying is.... the space-time devils may be conspiring against gravity. Sounds like a probable scenario....
