CHAPTER 2: STRANGE BEHAVIOUR
It was a miracle! Z returned back to the hotel safe and sound!
H: OH MY GOD!! Z, YOU ARE ALIVE!!
Z: Heh... I guess you guys missed me huh...?
L: Of course we missed you!
H: Wait a minute- Z WHAT HAPPENED!?
Everyone realises that Z had bandages over his chest, he didn't give any attention after all.
Z: Oh this...? It's nothing...
H: Are you sure?
The chameleon looked very worried just like the frog.
Z: Yeah... I'm all good...
Z might seem fine but something was wrong, especially the tone of his voice. It was like something bad happened to him...
L: If you say so...
Just as soon as the mysterious person was going to leave, Z mentioned them...
Z: Say, who is the one in the hoodie...?
L: Who? Me?
Z started to walk towards to them.
Z: yeah... I'm talking about you... Who are you...?
Lunar saw into his eyes... They had some cyan light on them...
L: Lunar... My name is Lunar...
Z: Lunar huh...? Nice to meet you then... Lunar...
Hayes and Latte could say that there was something wrong with Z and both of them started to worry...
L: Anyways... I'm going now... Bye!
Lunar then heads out the room and walks faster, just to stay away from the badger...
In the storage, there was a squirrel who was trying to find something that nobody knows about except for her...
A: Where is it? I know Dutch has it here!
The squirrel was trying very hard to find whatever it was until a bat appeared.
L: Heeeeeeyyyyy Amanda, how's doing?
A: Lantana! Hey, what's up? I mean, everything's good! How about you?
Lantana could see that something was suspicious about Amanda, but she didn't know why exactly... Yet.
L: You good...?
A: Of course I am! What do you mean?
L: I don't know... You have been here for a long time and I'm worried. Are you sure you are okay?
A: Yeah I am...
L: Okay... If you say so...
Lantana then noticed that something gots Amanda's attention.
L: Is something wrong?
A: ......
L: Amanda?
A: Oh sorry... I thought I saw something but it seems like it is my imagination...
Some time passed and Lunar was walking in the hallways, not knowing where she was going.... Until she saw a door and decided to open it. Inside of the room was Z, it seemed like he was playing his guitar.
L's(?) mind: Should I tell him? Or it would make things worse...?
Lunar(?) was afraid but decided to do the first try.
L(?): Hey Z!
Z: Hey...
Z didn't even look behind to see them.
L(?): So um... How's going, buddy?
Z: .....
L(?): uhh, you ok-
Z: Are you Ashley...?
Lunar(?) was stunned by that question, she didn't know how to answer...
L(?): Ashley!? Who's that!? I have no idea!!
Z: Don't lie to me! I know you are Ash!
Z turned to her with an aggressive expression. Lunar(?) knew that he was telling the truth, so she had to reveal her true identity... She takes off the hood and reveals that he is a tiger!
A: FINE!! Happy now?
She sounded annoyed, she didn't want to take off the hood.
Z: Yes... Very...
A: Look. I know you are mad at me for what happened over there and I want to say... I'm sorry...
Z: !!
Z was surprised that Ashley apologised to him
Z: so... You're apologize, right...?
A: Yes... I am...
Z: If that's so... Give me back my gem...
He offered his hand so Ash could give his gem back to him
A: Wait a minute... How do I know that you are the real Z?
Z: Excuse me...?
A: Oh y'know... How do I know that I'm talking with Z and not... Dio...?
Z: Oh please...! You are talking with me, the real Z and you know it Ash
A: Are you sure?
Z: Yes...
A: Then explain to me the chip behind your neck... I was there too if you remember.
Z was stunned about that information, she was right... They were there too......
Z: I...
A: Yes?
Z then started to laugh...
A: What's so funny!?
Ashley sounded angry now, not liking the laugh at all...
Z: You know... It's really funny that you believe that Dio is controlling me... But I assure you... I am Z...
A: Really? Then prove it!
Z: As you wish...
Then Z grabbed Ashley from the neck and pinned her on the wall. She was shocked by that action but what shocked them more was the cyan eyes and his pink hair is slowly becoming cyan...

yellow! its me again!! its much earlier now than the last time i messaged here😗 (though it is still admittedly late🤡) i think i am going to sleep soon but i wanted to tell you that i had begun reading your story for Kensington!
i am currently at Bonfire (i think that was the name? im sorry if i butchered or mistaken it for other fics i have been reading😖) and like your stories for Jesse, Kensington's story is also incredibly painful to read😭
i think its the fact that unlike Jesse, Kesi has (arguably) even less dignity as his status as an ouright slave rather than at least a pet or boxboy coupled by the fact he also has (definitively? at least in my interpretation) much much less external reason/s to continue struggling and living (i guess there is Miss Ashley🥺 but Jesse at least got to spend so much more time with the three sweet Bakeman daughters)(i dont want to spoil much to not ruin the others' experience)
i know the two squishy whumpees arent exact copies of each other but i still find it so deliciously heartwrenching that Jesse is much more submissive mostly in part because of the bbu brainwashing or mind/memory wiping (i think this is common in bbu whump so i think its okey for me to mention it explicitly?) while Kensi who (i understand/interpret) was born and raised and lived his whole life as a slave is much more stubborn and defiant.
again i apologize if im missing or misinterpreting something also i know i cant or at least maybe shouldnt draw direct parallels between the two because theyre from two similar but still different worldbuildings with their own set of messed up rules and hiarchies.🤸♂️💔

First of all thank you so much for reading both of my boys' stories and I'm so glad you like them
Yes, Jesse is extremely submissive in part because of the brainwashing WRU does, but also because Joshua was like that too. His dad passing away when he was younger gave him pretty severe OCD and anxiety that made Josh an unassuming, nervous boy, so his already quiet disposition was only worsened when coupled with the torture he had to face. One thing that always stuck with him though is his protectiveness over those he cares about. WRU did not give that to him, that was just Jesse.
Kensington's story takes place in a different universe where they do have a slavery system where slaves are born and raised that way. I like that you mentioned that Kensi is more stubborn and jaded, because that was not how I meant for him to turn out originally! I meant for him to be more submissive like Jesse, but the more I wrote the angrier Kensington got until I really came to a head in his story (can't wait for you to read the next few parts!)
Never apologize for analyzing my characters! I live for it, and I actually appreciate you drawing parallels between these two. They may be from different worlds, but they both come from me and I enjoy seeing them compared to one another actually! We're to a point in both stories that I have been very excited to come to and this gave me the motivation to keep writing!

What kind of drunks are your OCs?
(Angry, Honest, Happy, Sad)
Do any of your boxies talk about life before WRU when drunk?
Pre-captivity, Danny was a loud, chaotic, happy drunk. He was the kind of guy to get absolutely hammered and go throw himself around a mosh pit until he was bruised-up, sweaty, and content with life. He was boisterous and chatty and always had a hilarious story at parties that would rapidly become less hilarious the next day when you realized his funny story was actually just him talking about his incredibly traumatic childhood.
Post-captivity, Danny is a quieter drunk, when he does drink. He's careful. He watches everyone in the room, is slow and shy to make conversation. With trusted people he'll become shy and giggly and chattier again, but in a room with strangers he'll tend to stick to himself, stay to corners or walls, and try not to be led into too much conversation. With VERY trusted people, the flirt in him will come back out.
Pre-captivity, Nate was a talkative drunk, if a quiet one. He was the guy who would start giving impromptu talks on his favorite books, would argue over minutia in tv shows or movies he liked, would be there with a small crowd at the grad student bar having a great time.
Post-captivity, Nate is also a quiet drunk, but nearly a silent one. Alcohol with Bram usually meant hurting Danny in one way or another, becoming complicit, being used as a weapon or a tool against the person he loves most. He tends to get morose and somber now when he drinks, start thinking over all his mistakes, his chances to save Danny that he didn't take. His weakness and perceived cowardice.
Every once in a while, he can be roused to anger.
Ryan is a chatty, flirty, physically affectionate drunk. He gets huggy. He gets touchy. And he's the fucking life of the party. Of course, he can drink an enormous amount of human liquor without feeling much of the effects, so usually he's mostly sober, unless he breaks into his Dad's whiskey, which is, well... different.
Post-captivity, Ryan is the exact same... outwardly... when drunk, or feigning drunkenness. But to be honest, it's all a facade, a show, a mask of how recovered he is that he wears. In truth, he's simply pretending to be the same person he was, and he isn't that man anymore.
Ora was a quiet, sarcastic drunk. The kind of person who would speak in a voice so dry no one could tell if they were joking. They would mostly hang around the party while Penny was the more social one. Post-captivity, Ora can't get drunk anymore. Not really. Unless whoever they drink from has a high blood-alcohol level. When that happens, Ora is still a quiet drunk, but they are much more likely to lose control and drink too much from the next victim.
Bram and Ashley don't get drunk. But they like the burn of alcohol down their throats anyway.
Jake is an immense lightweight for his size and muscle. A few drinks and he's already giggling and slurring and laughing at the dumbest old vines you've ever seen. A couple more and he's asleep. He has wicked hangovers, too. Something about his body just refuses to metabolize alcohol well.
Kauri gets flirty and giggly and slurred but it's mostly on purpose, he rarely totally loses control. But he finds it useful to seem drunker than he is. He's flirty and touchy and inclined to go home with whoever catches his eye. Only when he's having a bad night does he really just absolutely stop caring about his own safety and drinks to serious excess. Then he turns weepy and tends to cry himself to sleep on whatever park bench he finds himself sleeping on.
Chris... doesn't usually drink enough to get drunk. When he does, it rarely goes well. Sometimes he gets sad, sometimes he shows a rare burst of anger, but drinking reminds him of Oliver, and his past, and watching the others he's in school with drink reminds him of the differences between them in ways he can't quite shrug off.
Antoni has yet to get genuinely drunk. His liver seems able to metabolize a startling amount of alcohol. He keeps a bottle of Russian vodka in the freezer only for himself. When he is lightly tipsy, he is very slightly more talkative, and it's a little easier for him to touch people. His skin crawls a little less.
Nat is a "get drunk and watch old 80's movies while giggling and/or criticizing everything about them" drunk. Or, sometimes, a "look up old music videos and talk about how much better music was then" drunk. But mostly movies.
None of my BBU OCs talk about their time as pets when drunk, usually, except for Chris, who has... sometimes told Laken far more than he ever meant to when trashed.

@ocsickficsideblog Is sickfic whump? Well, she's written some good ass whump too. And Alistair is the only man I have ever loved (not romantically though. He's too dumb). And Jasper and his trauma is soooo good. Coming to terms that his mom wasn't perfect. Learning to live without her. And Alistair and his aggression and hot temper. Learning to calm down and fearing being like his dad. Turning out to be more of a stupid dork than a violent thug. And fucking Julius who shows love is blind and doesn't realize he's dating the biggest idiot. Her writing is SO FUCKING GOOD and she has a really good way of showing trauma and recovery. I'll be first in line to buy her novels. Fighting through the crowd at a book signing even though I'm currently texting her. April's #1 fan. Plus she's a fucking awesome friend and I love her. Got me to rediscover my love for writing when my motivation was burning in Hell.
@ashintheairlikesnow Dude. Amazing. I never thought I'd enjoy BBU stories but Chris converted me. I binge-read Danny's full story in like a day and I'm dying (but also dreading) to know what happens to Ora. Bram made me cringe so bad. So good at writing despicable villains. Bram, Branch, Grant. Evil. Fuckfaces. But then there's Ashley. I am madly in love with Ashley and that makes me concerned about my taste in women. Does a great job at showing recovery and then throwing more misery at him and we all love to hate her for it. Seriously, so fucking good.
@haro-whumps I was initially opposed to reading the whole legalized slavery thing but I am loving their Group Whumpees series. I would die for Nyla and Lilah, and I love all the slaves. Greyson needs to take a mental health day, poor dude. I want all the slaves to be happy and free. Along with initially being skeptical of Galo. A dude who approves of a system that denies rights to people based on the parents they're born to?? But he grew on me. God, that sounds bad out of context. I'm enjoying watching Galo navigate through and deal with family ties and trauma of people he's never thought about, trying to be wise and rational when all this is thrust on him. Rot in Hell, Bethany. P.S. I'm amazed to see your art progress and improvement. I freaking adore your drawings of Rat and Bijou.
@whumping-every-day was one of the first blogs I followed. I followed for the vampire whump and stayed for awesome writing. Writes trauma and recovery really, really well. And the whump is brutal. Poor Mutt. Poor Ash. Poor Gabriel. And the vampire healing system, how they need blood to heal and Ash was given only enough blood to stay alive? Dude, fuck. Good whump. And public torture makes me cringe so bad but I love it. And the doctor talking about Mutt still breaks my heart. I'm loving all these series. And I'm in love with Pasha.
@albino-whumpee THEIR ART?? IS SO GOOD??? I scroll through their blog and just stare at the art. Equal parts envy and admiration. Do I want to be you or be staring at your art in a gallery? Expert. Won't be surprised if they're a graphic novel illustrator or a professional animator/storyboard artist in a few years. Or days. Their art is that good. The emotions in the expressions. I'm autistic and have trouble gauging emotion based on facial expression but in their drawings it's clear as day. Fear is palpable, joy is obvious and radient. And that you draw so much of this good shit for free is astonishing. People should be paying thousands for a portrait made by you at an auction. And the stories with Ray. There's so little but I want it so bad. Cold jerk with a good heart. And a doctor? Ecen better! Just you wait. You're making fan art for everyone else but you're gonna receive some mediocre fan art from me in the near future. Also I stare at that drawing of Maribel for several hours a day.
