The console was already on. Though, the console itself seemed to be dying, leaking a fluid that looked like a mix of battery acid and....Crimson red blood.

Faker stepped back. He still sensed a VERY strong evil energy.
“..That’s.. quite concerning…. I don’t recall it doing that before..”

“Okay, gotta be brave.. it’s just a game console.. a console with sentient people in it, sure, but still just a game..”
Dorkly took a deep breath, picked up the controller, and just pressed A.

LED Taillights: Making Your On-Road Communication Right
Just like communication is important in daily life, it is equally important to have good communication around us while driving. The prime duty of every driver is to be cautious and alert at every moment to pass the appropriate signal to the fellow drivers. The instances include- timely brakes, proper right/left indicators, necessary horn(minus useless honking), and using wipers while raining gives a clearer view which saves accidents and also maintaining proper distance from every vehicle.
Well, these are some tips which one has to keep in mind, but are there any tools which can be used to enhance the communication on road? Yes, these instruments come in the form of accessories, for example, a Third brake light that makes the on-road conference strong and clear with its outstanding features.
Let’s have a list of its characteristics that makes it a worthy accessory:
Tailgate lights- a revolution of the LEDs
LEDs have been gaining a special place in the automobile industry and have been taking over grilles, bumpers, mirrors, running boards, etc. This auxiliary by AoonuAuto is highly productive once installed and has a special positioning, unlike the normal default brake lights. This feature is what makes them so different than the normal lights.
The positioning of these lights is done in such a way that it catches the constant attention of the vehicle behind you. The lights indicate a certain action on every color change. AoonuAuto has come up with a million color tailgate light barsand for the trucks, there is a single color red tailgate light bar.
Various modes and function of these lights
The lights work on 12 Voltage from the battery and have clear silicone housing that makes it a robust and adaptable ancillary. When the car is in driving mode- the multi-color lights keep gleaming, while on applying brakes the color turns bright red. The indicators turn yellow, when taking right and left, and turn white in reverse mode. The double flash on both sides at the same frequency indicates the streamer mode.
While for the trucks, the light shines bright red all through the course of driving thus indicating the traffic around, to maintain the required distance. The auxiliary is available in 72 and 90 LEDs for trucks, and the cars have options from 48 and 60 LEDs. However, all of them have an unparalleled intensity, therefore the best led light bulbs for cars.
Standard waterproofing and effortless installation
The material of the LEDs is steadfast, that it can brave extreme weather conditions like torrential rains and snow without getting fused. The IP65 standard mark of its waterproof quality makes this accessory quite reliable and durable.
Also, the installation procedure comes as a DIY activity which can be done effortlessly on a holiday. The instruction booklet guides you thoroughly over the easy fitting process. The LED sticks easily on the edge of the trunk with strong 3M double adhesive tape and forms a tight grip.
The result of this one-time effort and investment is overwhelming and highly fruitful in terms of safety. This is the best led lights for cars you will ever find, that can communicate so well while your car is on-road and will amaze you with its spontaneity, unlike the conventional brake lights.

Maritimers prepare for bitterly cold temperatures on Friday
Maritimers are preparing in various ways for that frigid cold in the forecast.
With temperatures expected to dip down to as low as minus 30 C in parts of the region, officials are warning of health risks for those exposed to the elements.
While the temperature may have only read minus 4 C in Riverview today, Maritimers across the region are bundling up in preparation for what's to come.
The wind will be a big factor in creating those frigid temperatures, which in some areas will feel like minus 30.
"Certainly in lower temperatures, the risks becomes more obvious," said Riverview Fire Department Deputy Chief Robin True."A person can experience hypothermia even if temperatures are above freezing depending on how they're dressed and if they're wet or dry."
Ahead of extreme weather like this, outreach workers try to connect with the most vulnerable – those without a place to call home.
"We're providing supplies to those that aren't able to access shelter or make other arrangements," said Trevor Goodwin, the
YMCA outreach senior director."We're giving them blankets, hand warmers, emergency food, winter hats and so forth, and we're just making sure they're aware of the resources around them."
But it's not just people who will be impacted.  Brian Hare says he sees a spike in calls at his garage when the temperatures dip this far below freezing.
"You lose about half the power in your battery when it hits below zero," said Hare. "The colder it gets, the more you lose, so if you have a weak battery now, it'll probably be a no start tomorrow morning."
The wind chill could potentially pose a problem for your pipes.
"As soon as that wind chill gets up there, that's when we see pipes start freezing, because of the wind hitting the building or the house or whatever, on the side where the pipes are," said plumber Kevin Arsenault. Officials say the safest way to brave these extreme temperatures is to bundle up and plan ahead.
"Make sure someone knows that you're going out on an adventure maybe in the woods or wherever you're going," True said. "And to have a plan to get back into somewhere warm."

Another story please?😍😛
OOC:
Here, have a totally SFW double date. Send me a message if you want it continued! :D
Ramses stared at his papers, failing another attempt of finding concentration. After several months of living here, he had allowed Dedyet to visit the library without him. Not alone, of course! There were four servants overseeing her activities.
However, she had been gone for almost four hours. Ramses had tried to focus on his work, but the dreadful feeling of worry became worse each minute. He had informed the servants about Dedyet still not having returned, but none of them had come inside yet to tell him he had seen her.
Ramses looked at the clock on the wall of his office. It was 4:58 pm. In exactly two minues, it would be four hours without his wife in the palace. Knowing that focusing on work was impossible now, Ramses promised himself that in exactly two minutes, he would get up and look for her himself. If necessary, even call the police.
The former pharaoh looked at his phone for what seemed a thousandth time. She still hadn’t called him back, not even had she sent a short text. He decided to call her another time, but again, the call failed.
Suddenly, at exactly 5 pm, someone knocked on the door. “Hun? Are you in here?”
Ramses couldn’t believe it. “Dedyet!”
She came in, smiling but blushing. “You won’t believe who I have-”
“Where were you?! I have called you twenty-seven times! Sent thirty two texts! You cannot ignore me! Do you know how worried I was?! I thought I had lost you again, for Geb’s sake!”
“Oh, honey, I-”
“And all just because you wanted this damned book! I told you we would order it! I swear to Ra himself, this was the first and last time I let you out without a close family member watching over you!”
Dedyet’s smile had disappeared during the angry lecture. “I am so sorry, sweet-pie.”
“Do not call me this ridiculous name! Instead, explain to me why you haven’t picked up your phone!”
“Hun, I think the phone is broken!”
Ramses was surprised. “Broken?”
“Yes, it didn’t work when I tried to call you!”
“Where is your second one?”
“I forgot it at home.”
“Third one?”
“Low battery.”
“Fourth?”
Dedyet sighed. “I told you I don’t know how the fourth one works, Ramses.”
“Fifth?”
“I don’t have a fifth!”
“What?! Do you know how dangerous that is?! What if you’re in danger and the four other ones aren’t working?!”
She faced the ground. “I’m sorry.”
“Where are the servants’ phones?”
“I don’t know. How many do they have?”
“What a stupid question - One!”
“…Oh.”
Ramses leaned back and crossed his arms, angrily looking at his wife.
Bravely, Dedyet asked, “Would you let me explain where I was this whole time?”
He slammed his fist against the table and yelled, “Don’t tell me you have lied to me about going to the library when you actually went somewhere else!”
“No!”
“Then where is your book?!”
Dedyet blushed nervously. “They didn’t have it.”
“Argh!”
“I swear I was at the library, Ramses! If I lie, Seth may have his way with my defenseless body!”
Still angry, but without raising his voice, Ramses commanded, “Stop involving the gods and tell me where you were.”
Dedyet nodded. She looked at him with a warm smile. “I met a friend at the library.”
Ramses was unimpressed. “Who?”
“Viktor and Viveka!”
The former pharaoh frowned. “Who?”
“Viktor and Viveka,” Dedyet repeated, more clearly this time.
“For Ra’s sake!” Ramses cursed. “Who is that?!”
“Oh! The Steins.”
“The Steins who?”
“Franken…stein?”
“Oh, those! Why didn’t you say that?!”
She rolled her eyes. “Anyway, they invited me home and we had tea and cake. They told m-”
“Dedyet! Are you crazy??!”
“Huh?”
“You can’t go home with strangers!”
The former queen of Egypt crossed her arms. “They are friends, Ramses.”
“You don’t even know these people!”
“I do know them! And I know Frankie, too, their lovely daughter!”
“Such monsters can’t have children. It is simply unnatural!”
“They have bui-”
“I know that! That is the unnatural part of it!”
“Ramses, seriousy?!”
“Seriously.”
The office got quiet.
“I was really happy when I came home,” Dedyet said, tears in her eyes. “But you have ruined it.”
Ramses sighed. “I just can’t believe that you went home with them like that.”
“Well, I have.”
“Perfect! They could have done anything to you!”
“Ramses, I would have called you.”
“Why is the phone broken?! What have you done with it?!”
“I don’t know! It just doesn’t wanna work!”
Ramses held out his hand.
She placed the phone on it, so he could have a look himself.
Ramses pressed a button. After that, his eyes widened greatly.
“You see? It’s broken.”
“Dedyet, the phone was off!”
“…Oh.”
“Are you being serious?!”
Her hands covered the beautiful woman’s face. “I swear, it didn’t work when I tried to call you,” she sobbed.
Ramses groaned. He was angry, but seeing her cry broke his heart. He just wanted her to be safe…
Ramses grabbed Dedyet so that she could sit down on his lap, as he pulled her closer. “Shhh, it’s okay,” the former pharaoh mumbled.
“Viktor and Viveka have asked for a favor and I was so happy that we could help them,” she sobbed. “But now I’m not even in the mood anymore.”
“What favor?”
Dedyet stopped their hug and wiped away the tears. “Well, it was more of an offer.”
“What could these people offer us?”
“A double date.”
“Uh… Pardon?”
“Huh?”
“What? Could you…reapeat it?”
“A double date. It’s today and they had planned it with the Blues. But they got ill and now Viktor and Viveka are alone, but the restaurant is one of those expensive, Greek ones and making a reservation costed them a fortune. And now they are only two people and the restaurant won’t accept it, and… It’s all very complicated.”
Ramses didn’t answer for a long time. Finally, he said, “So… You want us to go on a date? With the Steins?”
Dedyet nodded before rubbing her eyes. “It’s too late now anyway. And we’re both in a bad mood, because I thought the phone was broken even though it was actually just off and then you got angry, because-”
“Dedyet,” Ramses said gently, putting a hand on her back. “Take a breather.”
While she nodded a second time, breathing in and out, Ramses looked at the clock. “Just because I’m curious… When is this date?”
“At 6. We’re too late.”
“It’s not 6 yet.”
Dedyet looked her husband in the eyes and showed him a hopeful smile. “Would you actually…go there with me?”
“Depends, is it absolutely necessary to make you happy?”
Her smile got brighter. “Absolutely.”
“Fine, then. I think we’re going on a date today… With peasants… As a replacement…”
“It’s not that, Ramses. I get along so well with Viveka and Viktor and they really didn’t want to bring it up. I asked them what they’d do this evening and they mentioned some failed plans. So, of course I wanted to know what was up.”
“Mhm,” Ramses mumbled, barely interested. “I understand.”
It was exactly 6 pm when Ramses and Dedyet entered the restaurant, dressed in a black suit and a blue dress. The Steins were already sitting at their table, one that was rather far away.
Without having been inside for a single minute, Dedyet already managed to embarrass her husband. She waved happily as she saw her friends and called, “Viveka! Viktor!”
The other monsters at the restaurant turned to the de Niles. Ramses hid his face behind his hands. Going here had not been a good idea…
“Hello,” Viveka said happily and obviously relieved when seeing the de Niles approach.
“Hello,” Dedyet answered happily as she fulled Viveka into a hug. Then, she moved onto Viktor.
“Hello, Mr. de Nile,” Viveka said rather awkwardly as Ramses stood in front of her.
“Good day,” he said sternly, shaking her hand, which suddenly lost connecton to her wrist. “Oh… Sorry,” the woman blushed after seeing Ramses’ grossed out face. After this shock, he decided not to shake Viktor’s hand, after all.
The couples sat down, Viveka and Viktor took place next to each other where they had sat before and Ramses and Dedyet took the chairs on the opposites, so that the ladies and the gentlemonsters were facing each other.
“We’re so glad you could make it,” Viktor stated.
“As replacements, hm?” Ramses asked. “Usually it’s us de Niles who replace workers like you. Let us not forget who is clearly superior, and who is just a commoner.”
The Steins exchanged views. “Yeah, yeah, you’re great,” Viktor said with a smirk, not hiding the sarcasm.
“Thank you, Viktor!” Dedyet said happily.
“Excuse you,” Ramses growled at him.
Many minutes passed, yet the mood did not seem to loosen up. After Ramses had spoken out his complains about the food that he had ordered and criticized the way Dedyet’s meat was roasted, Viveka asked, as an attempt to have a decent conversation, “How long have you two been together?”
“Twenty years!” Dedyet spoke out happily.
“Wow!”
With wide eyes, Viktor asked, “Dedyet… May I ask you how old you are?”
Dedyet answered, raising her voice to drown Ramses’ angry growning, “I am 36, dear Viktor!”
Both of the Steins were surprised. “Wow, you were very young when you-”
“I fail to see how this is any of your business!” Ramses finally snapped.
“Sorry,” Viktor backed down, realizing that the question might have been a bit inappropriate.
“No need, Viktor,” Dedyet said when tasting the first bite of her meat.
Eating as well, Viktor said, “I am glad we made the reservation at this day of the week.”
“True!” Viveka agreed. “Today’s Pork Day at all Greek restaurants in town!”
Dedyet spit out the meat in shock. She looked up with the widest eyes possible before leaving the table to go to the restroom.
Viktor faced Ramses uncomfortably. “Muslim?”
“No!” He snapped.
“Then why-”
“Ugh, you woudn’t understand it!”
“We are cultivated people,” Viveka promised.
Ramses rolled his eyes, finally explaining, “Pigs are associated with Seth, who is an evil god. That’s why we don’t eat pork.”
“…Oh. Well, maybe she should have read what the ‘Zeus platter’ actually is. Both chicken and pork,” Viktor answered.
Ramses mumbled ancient words in anger.
“I bet he just insulted you,” Viveka told her husband with an amused smirk.
“Both of you!”
“…Oh.”
More minutes without Dedyet passed. To get rid of the silence, Viveka said, “Ramses, I… just gotta ask…”
“When did I give you permission to call me by my first name?!”
“…Mr. de Nile. How old are you?”
Ramses leaned back, making the Steins even more curious. “You both,” Ramses started slowly, “are two very unpleasant people.”
Viktor leaned forward and said, with his usual humour, “Wade and I have a bet. Are you over sixty?”
“No, I am not over sixty!” Ramses snapped.
“Shit, I just lost twenty dollars.”
“Argh!”
Right before things escalated, Dedyet returned to the table. “I am sorry for leaving,” she said weakly.
“Are you fine?” The three monsters wanted to know.
Dedyet nodded with a small smile. “I just needed to wash my mouth and practice a ritual while praying four times.”
The Steins’ eyes widened.
“For protection,” Dedyet clarified.
They nodded and continued to eat. Especially after Dedyet’s walk to the restroom, the bad atmosphere did not better itself. Luckily, the food was almost eaten and the date would be very soon over.
As Viveka talked about her favorite TV show, Dedyet cut her meat. She took a first taste as Ramses casted an eye over at her. Suddenly, the pharaoh made big eyes. “Dedyet…”
She looked at him and swallowed. “Hm?”
“Oh! Errr… Nothing.”
Viktor was sure that, under his bandages, he could see the pharaoh blush.
Dedyet looked at him in utter shock. “What?” She asked, tears in her eyes.
“Viveka, please continue,” Ramses said to her with a sheepish smile.
“Ramses, what is it?” Dedyet asked impatiently.
“It’s… nothing, dear.”
“Tell me. I demand to know!”
“That was…my plate.”
“And??”
“I ordered something else than you.”
With clenched teeth, Dedyet said, “…Ramses.”
“Yes?”
“What did you order?”
A long silence, then, “…Beef.”
Dedyet’s mouth formed an o. “You eat beef??!”
“Dedyet, the ancient traditons do not apply!” Ramses tried to explain.
She leaned back, utterly shocked. “I ate beef…”
“It’s okay, dear, I promise you I have been eating it for years and never has Hathor cursed me!”
“Ramses, we might have eaten Hathor!!”
“Nonsense!”
Dedyet stoop up. “I feel horrible,” she said with a face as pale as the one of the ghost waiter. Then, she left to go to the restroom.
“Uh… May I ask who Hathor is and why you might have eaten her?” Viktor asked.
“A cow goddess,” Ramses said, facing the ground. “That’s why we… That’s why Dedyet doesn’t eat beef. Hathor could appear in the shape of a cow and they might slaughter her and Dedyet would eat her and that would be an unforgivable sin.” He rolled his eyes, obviously annoyed about Dedyet’s religious views. He looked up and confessed, “I have stopped believing in this a long time ago.”
The Steins nodded, actually interested in the topic.
“If the gods really exist, where were they when I needed them?”
“I think you should give Dedyet some more time,” Viveka said gently. “She might get over the gods, like youd did.”
Ramses shook his head. “Never.”
In this moment, Dedyet walked up to them, already wearing her coat. “I am sorry, but I want to go home,” she stated in a weak voice. “I apologize for misbehaving, it’s just… I feel ill.”
“Please don’t tell me you vomited just because of this damned piece of beef!” Ramses snapped.
“I would vomit a thousand times if it makes Hathor forgive me.”
Ramses rolled his eyes before turning back to the Steins. “You see?”
“You can stay, Ramses, but I won’t. I’m sorry.” With those words, Dedyet left the restaurant.

Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia Dimensions’ End Entropy Tier 8 Team
This is yet another one of those old drafts I finally managed to finish editing, so it’s now ready to be scheduled for publication.
Tumblr media
The Dimensions’ End Entropy Tier 8 Chaos fight has just been released in the Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia (#ad) (DFFOO) mobile game.
Dimensions’ End Entropy Tier 8 Battle Information
This Chaos quest has 4 waves. The enemies heavily resist ranged moves. The first wave has 2 Lunatic Humbaba bosses. They can inflict some debuffs and delay a target for 5 turns.
The second wave has 2 Lunatic Elemental Behemoth. These bosses also heavily resist melee and magical moves. Their elemental weakness changes depending on their color. They will start by being colored blue, which makes them weak to fire.
Tumblr media
The third wave has 1 Lunatic Ochu with 2 minions or add-ons. Once you kill the main boss, his minions will automatically disappear along with him.
The fourth and final wave has 2 enemies - Lunatic Celestial and Lunatic Sand Kraken. Celestial can inflict the Poison and Paralyze debuffs. He can even remove his own debuffs, including ones that are framed. Kraken can delay his target by either 1 or 2 turns. He can even inflict a Speed down debuff.
Dimensions’ End Entropy Tier 8 Team
For my first try, I decided to bring the following characters:
Jecht from Final Fantasy X
Penelo from Final Fantasy XII
Yuri from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates (#ad)
I brought Ifrit as my Summon since it was recommended to summon on the second wave to quickly deal with the Behemoth while it was weak to fire. That’s also one reason why I decided to bring Jecht.
All 3 are purple with all of their Summon Boards completed. They have their Bloom Stones and all their passives and extensions equipped.
Jecht has 2 attack 108 with max brave 330 and 1 attack 108 with initial brave 170 artifacts. Penelo has 2 initial brave 100 with max brave 200 and 1 attack 108 with max brave 330 artifacts. Yuri has 2 attack 108 with Twins’ Bond Boost★★ and 1 attack 108 with max brave 200 artifacts.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, this team wasn’t working out as well as I wanted it to. Yuri’s Crystal Power ability is a ranged attack, so he wasn’t dealing much damage in the beginning.
I have to wait for his Ex to charge so he can inflict holy resist down on all the enemies. That debuff will make them weak to holy so even Yuri’s ranged move can deal great damage. But his Ex takes forever before it can be cast; the game lists it as “slow double minus”.
Jecht does deal a lot of damage. He even gets consecutive turns if he breaks a target, but his skill counts are rather low, so you have to keep using his HP+ move otherwise you’ll end up running out of abilities before the fight ends.
Penelo did well as a support, healer, and battery. Her Ex charges fast. She provides a lot of buffs and auras for the party.
Imperil and Enchant for Dimensions’ End Entropy Tier 8
When I lost the fight, I thought I’d need a character who could imperil (make the enemy weak to an element) enemies and enchant (turn all of the party’s non-elemental moves into a specific element) the party so I could win.
The problem was that I didn’t have Lulu. She’s actually really good for this tier because she can imperil enemies and enchant the party with the fire element.
I considered using my Dimensions’ End Order tokens to get Onion Knight’s (#ad) Ex from the shop. He can imperil enemies and enchant the party with the ice element.
Tumblr media
However, his party enchant is tied to his Additional Ability so it’s limited to a number of turns, unlike Lulu who can basically keep the party’s fire enchant up for the duration of the quest.
I hesitated in spending my tokens though. I was wondering if it was worth it just to clear one fight. Was I going to use Onion Knight in other Chaos battles? Besides, did I even want to spend limited resources to realize his Ex? Was I going to purple him?
At that time, I wasn’t sure at all, and I couldn’t make up my mind. So, in the end, I decided to just wait. What’s the rush anyway? Dimensions’ End Entropy wasn’t going anywhere. I didn’t have to clear it all right now, right away.
Paladin Cecil from Final Fantasy IV
Then came the time wherein Paladin Cecil Harvey’s (#ad) Ex became realizable. He was similar to Onion Knight in that he could imperil enemies and enchant the party. But his element is holy, and he was more of a support who could act a bit as a damage dealer. His party enchant was also tied to his Additional Ability.
I already have his Ex. I chose it from that campaign we had way back wherein we were allowed to pick an Ex from a select list. I picked his Ex, but he was still stuck at crystal level 60 and level 60 at that time, so I basically never used him.
I have his 15cp MLB and I have a single copy of his 35cp. I got these from pulling on Vayne’s event banner way back when Vayne was first introduced in this game.
I didn’t realize Cecil’s Ex the moment I found out it was now possible to do so. Like with Onion Knight, I found myself hesitating, unsure if I really wanted to do this or not. I kept thinking about it.
Tumblr media
So it was maybe a few days or so later when I finally ended up deciding, okay, let’s do this. Let’s give it a try. I had to spend 12 Power Stones to MLB Cecil’s 35cp. I also had to spend 12 more Stones to MLB his Ex. Then I gave him a Book. So he’s now at Ex+0.
That’s where I stopped though. After that, I couldn’t bring myself to give him even a single Ingot. Good thing I didn’t because I now regret even giving him a book.
I shouldn’t have been so hasty about this. Because I actually ended up perfecting Dimensions’ End Entropy Tier 8 without having to use Paladin Cecil or any character who could enchant the party.
Sigh. Now I definitely feel like I need to lock Cecil on to a Dimensions’ End Entropy Tier so it won’t feel like such a waste to have given him a Book. I even ended up using all those Power Stones on his weapons.
Dimensions’ End Entropy Tier 8 New Team
I decided to try this tier again using the following characters:
Penelo from Final Fantasy XII (#ad)
Yuri from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates
Warrior of Light from Final Fantasy I
Warrior of Light (WoL) is fully MLB, but he’s at base Ex only. And he only has 5 of his Summon Boards completed. He does have his Bloom Stone as well as all his passives and extensions equipped. He has pretty decent artifacts - 2 initial brave 170 with max brave 330 and 1 attack 108 with initial brave 170.
While Yuri’s Crystal Power was resisted by both enemies in the first wave, I just tried to keep going in spite of the low damage he was dealing. The battery from both Penelo and WoL helped, so he could deal more HP damage. Things got much better once his Ex was finally charged and he was able to inflict holy resist down on the 2 Humbaba.
The Warrior of Light’s shield helped even if it isn’t that powerful since he is at base Ex only. His batteries helped too. And he could even lock the enemies on to himself with his second skill.
The second wave with the 2 Behemoth was terrible, especially since I didn’t have a way to enchant the party. The holy resist down from Yuri helped a lot. It’s too bad that he can’t enchant the party, so he was the only one who benefited from that imperil.
Tumblr media
Thankfully, both WoL and Penelo can battery the party a lot. Penelo can even provide brave regen, so everyone can always deal a decent amount of HP damage against the enemies.
Penelo’s Ex reduces the target’s brave while Yuri’s Ex reduces all enemies’ brave to 0. Between the both of them, there wasn’t much worry that an enemy could get a massive amount of brave then one-shot a character.
I should have summoned Ifrit on the second wave, but I ended up not doing so. Thankfully, I still managed to get past this wave although it did take a while. The third wave wasn’t that bad, certainly not when compared to the second one. The last wave was harder than the third, but manageable enough.
I found the Celestial particularly annoying because he likes to remove debuffs on himself, which means removing the holy resist down from Yuri’s Ex. This means back to Crystal Power being resisted until Yuri can use his Ex again.
The last wave was when I summoned Ifrit. By the end of the fight, everyone was basically out of skills. The Warrior of Light was completely out of skills maybe a few or so turns before the battle ended. His own buffs had run out, so his brave+ and HP+ moves had reverted back to the plain brave and HP commands, so I was stuck having to use those.
Tumblr media
Yuri was nearly out of skills. If not for the fact that casting his Ex restores 1 use of both of his abilities, he would have been completely out as well. As it was, I had to weave in some HP+ attacks throughout all the waves. I couldn’t just keep spamming his skills, otherwise he would have run out.
Penelo ran out of skills as well. Thankfully, her Additional Ability gives her back 1 use of both of her skills.
Needless to say, I was very pleased when I managed to perfect this tier. Glad I didn’t need party enchant after all though am still miffed that I ended up giving Paladin Cecil a Book yet I didn’t even use him.
So, how about you? Who did you bring to perfect Dimensions’ End Entropy Tier 8? What did you think about this Chaos fight? Feel free to share your thoughts and opinions by leaving a comment below or by reblogging this post.

Poor @atelerixe not only lives with all my first drafts but also all my rantings about my first drafts. She’s the real hero here, folks!
Also @fullmetalkarneval13 who will always be the first one to deal with whatever craziness I’m spewing at the moment and isn’t afraid to tell me when it doesn’t work.
And all of you! It took me so long to be brave enough to share any of my stories with the world. Every time I publish, it is with the hope and trust that I am not putting myself out there to be smashed. Thank you to everyone who continues to make this worthwhile!
6) Where is your favourite place to write?
Outdoors. When the weather is perfect, I like to hike this trail near my house and I write for as long as my laptop battery will last. When the weather is crap, I usually write in bed (RIP my back)
7) Favourite childhood book?
I have 2. A Wrinkle in Time and The Giver. Both books made me cry in parts, but both take their own look at society and what we believe is real. If you haven’t read these, please go do so. I will even mail you a copy!!
8) Writing for fun or writing for publication?
For fun, currently. As some of you know, there are original novels, written to completion sitting in my computer. I don’t know how to go about getting them published and I don’t have the nerve to try. I’m hoping I get over this... someday...
9) Pen and paper or computer?
Computer mostly, although I use Quick Notes on my phone when an idea strikes me and I am not near my computer. I also have a writing journal which was a birthday gift from my beautiful wordmate @d2diamond which I am never without!
10) Have you ever taken any writing classes?
Yes and I am also attending a Writer’s Conference in November. Everyone pray for me to be brave that day and take a chance on myself.
11) What inspires you to write?
Life. Music. Art. Talking to people. Sometimes there is a story or a single piece of advice that I wish I could share with the world, and a story is born from that.
I’m tagging @fullmetalkarneval13 @artdefines06 @thefloralfox @seththeshallow @dramaticmari @belovedyuuri @d2diamond @daysinrussiavictuuri @madamelenny @oscarborn2bwilde @nightmareofcat @katsukifatale @queen-among-writers @joey-wingster

Big Bass Bash 2019, The Boat Drama is Finally Over, Lake of the Ozarks, MO, 4/26/19 – 4/29/19
4/26/19
Tumblr media
Early in the drive to Lake of the Ozarks, Aaron and I timidly joked about how it wouldn’t be our spring fishing trip if we didn’t have some kind of drama.  There is so much truth to that…  From blown out bearings, to malfunctioning trolling motors to dead batteries, we’ve experienced heartbreak on our trips that we’ve almost become accustomed to.  As we rolled down I-35 to Des Moines, something big was brewing…
Rewind to four weeks ago.  I pulled the Ranger out of the garage from it’s LONG winter slumber.  It was going to Lighthouse Motorsports for an oil change and tune up on the motor.  In the fall of 2018, I started having a weird issue where I’d lose power once I got up on plane.  I need that that fixed ASAP, before the spring trip to Missouri.  Lighthouse took about 2 weeks to finally diagnose the problem as a bad fuel filter.
T – minus two weeks until the fishing trip.  I picked up the Ranger from Lighthouse and went straight to the lake.  She fired up beautifully.  I idled through the Crystal Lake channel and gave her some throttle.  Immediately, I began experiencing the same power loss.  Nothing had been fixed.  In fact, it had gotten worse.  After limping one lap around the lake, the 2009 Mercury killed multiple times, even while idling.  I recall texting Aaron that I am sure the boat would be fine, but deep down, I wasn’t so sure…
Back to Lighthouse.  I was worried. After some more testing Lighthouse thought the problem might be a bad fuel pump.  Getting a new pump from Mercury could take several weeks due to it being on backorder.  This was a big problem.  They continued testing it at the shop while I contemplated a contingency plan.
Then Dyan opened a real can of worms: “What if you bought a new boat?”  Oh boy.  I quickly created a Craigslist/Marketplace add for my boat and furiously scoured the internet in search of a new boat.  But I am particular.  It had to be perfect.  The exact color, features and most of all, the right price.  About the time I came to the conclusion that I’d need to order a boat if I wanted to get all the options I was looking for, Lighthouse called me back.  They think the motor problem was just a bad $10 spark plug?  Serious?
Four days until departure, I picked up the Ranger and took her back to Crystal Lake.  She fired up without missing a beat and raced around lake sounding better than ever in the 7 years I’ve owned her.  Whew.  Crisis avoided.  Hopefully we can finally avoid some drama on the fishing trip….  For fun, I decided to leave my boat ad on the internet, just to see what kind of offers I might get...
The drive into the Ozarks was long and uneventful (in a good way).    We did make a mandatory stop at Bass Pro in Columbia for lures and licenses as well as a lunch stop which included this humongous 16” party sandwich.
Tumblr media
Aaron catches a fish that size on Saturday or Sunday, we will be driving home with some money!  As we continued the drive into Columbia, I told Aaron about the motor debacle and how it kind of “opened the door” for me to look at new boats and possibly sell my boat.  By this point in the drive I already had 3 people who saw my listing and had requested test drives when I returned from the trip.  In addition, I had a guy named “Greg”, who wanted me to cancel all my test drives because he was planning to buy it, sight unseen, no test drive necessary, as soon as I got home.  Okay, whatever you say Greg…
Tumblr media
At 4:00, we arrived at Village Marina and dumped the boat into the lake.  It was bluebird sky with light winds and temps well into the 70’s.  Just a perfect afternoon for fishing.  And it wasn’t long before we began catching either.  Aaron and I both pulled in a couple of small bass each on the shakey head and drop shot.  About an hour into fishing Aaron hooked up with this chunker casting a shakey head up on the shoreline.
Tumblr media
We worked Jobson Hollow cove for a couple of hours before venturing toward the channel.
Out near the primary points, we came across this monster long-nose gar.  It may have wound up in the boat a bit untraditionally, but no doubt, what a cool looking fish to see up close.
Tumblr media
This gar must have been nearly 40” long and close to 10 pounds.  Had I known the long-nose gar had teeth like these, I probably would not have been so eager to have my hand up near its huge mouth.  Yikes!
Tumblr media
Once in the channel we actually had really good luck picking up a half dozen bass on soft plastics, including these couple of short ones.
Tumblr media
Once again, drop shot (4” pumpkin dreamshot) and shakey head (7” black & blue ribbontail) were really on fire.
Tumblr media
But, with BBQ ribs, au gratin potatoes, baked beans and Texas toast being served up hot at home, we blew across the glass-like lake to get some food in our bellies!
Tumblr media
And to top it off, home made chocolate chip cookies.  We’re eating good now!
4/27/19
5:30AM: Alarm clocks went off.  As Aaron and I contemplated our gameplan for the day, there were scattered thunderstorms in the area.  We took refuge under the covered dock, staying dry from the downpour.
Tumblr media
The plan was to be the first boat on the Shady Oaks Resort cove just to the north of mom & dad’s house.
Tumblr media
We felt like our best chance to get a good fish in the morning would be working as much un-fished water as possible.  Then once other boats move in, and we’re no longer the first boat making casts on a particular area of water, it could be time to look elsewhere.  At 6:30, we took our first casts in the cove.  By 6:35, thunder boomed above use, and lightening magnificently lit up the sky.  And that was that.
Tumblr media
We made our way back over to the dock and decided to wait out the storm.  I can deal with a lot on the water – cold, wind, snow and rain – but I don’t take any chances with lightening.  So instead, while other anglers braved the heavy thunderstorm, Aaron and I made our way inside for quite possibly the best breakfast sandwiches being served on the lake.
As we conversed with mom and dad over breakfast, the rain pelted the metal dock just beyond the deck.  We were pretty lucky to have the comfort and convenience of 5 star accommodations and hospitality while all the other anglers were getting soaked and cold.  But, at least one of those anglers braving the elements weighed in a 7.93lb bass within the first hour of the tournament.  As Josh always says, “You gotta risk it to get the biscuit!”  This guy was risking some serious storms for a giant fish!  And it ended up being worth it.  That fish would go on to win the $100,000 Big Bass prize for the tournament.
Finally, around 7:30, Aaron and I were able to get out on the water under some light rain.  But it didn’t last long.  The cold and rain gave way to warm sunshine within the hour.  We fished the cove we had intended to start in, as well as a couple other bays in Jobson Hollow, picking up a couple of VERY short fish.
Tumblr media
Although the forecast was calling for extreme winds, at the moment, they were very light.  We made our way across the channel and began fishing main channel points at the Village of Four Seasons.  Aaron started chucking the Alabama Rig (Chandelier Rig) and almost immediate hooked up with this largemouth who was parked right on the shoreline.
Tumblr media
We continued deeper into Four Seasons when the wind suddenly kicked up.  And it was fierce.  Sustained winds were 25mph out of the SE with gusts between 40-50mph.  It seemed like the winds in the channel were just as bad as the winds in the coves, so Aaron and I braved the rough waters and fished the rock ledges at mile marker 2.  I tried my best to keep the boat on a parallel line between us and the wall with about 30 feet of spacing.  Even though we were super close to the wall, the boat was situated in 40-70 FOW.  We were casting right up on the wall and slowing letting it fall down the shear cliff.  We picked up a flurry of fish, but none of them biggin’s.
We were getting pounded by the wind, so we decided to push back across the channel.  I could never have prepared myself for such a bumpy and chaotic ride. While the Ranger did fine slamming into the 3 foot waves, I broke the tip on one of my St. Croix rods, nearly lost another (if not for Aaron’s miraculous save) and broke the mount on my front trolling motor.  Uh oh, Greg is not going to be happy about that!
Back in Jobson Hollow, we desperately tried to find some quieter water, in the deepest parts of the cove we could find.  Unfortunately, the only fish swimming around there were the smallest fish in the lake.
Tumblr media
We finished the day with not much to show for it except some sun and wind burn.
Tumblr media
We buzzed over the The Boathouse at Village Marina where we met up with Mom, Dad and Brianna for a couple of cold drinks before dinner.
Tumblr media
The Boathouse is definitely my new favorite watering hole on the lake!
And little did we know, the feast that awaited us at home was fit for a king.
Tumblr media
Yep, that is tenderloin roast beef with mash potatoes and green beans.  Off.  The.  Charts.  I am pretty sure I rolled off to my room directly from the dinner table.
4/28/19
Aaron and I were pretty confident in our approach to catch fish on Day 1, so we planned to continue it.  After all, we had caught WAY more fish than any of the other anglers we spoke to, so no need to change it up.  All we needed was a little luck that one of those bites was a 5+ pounder.
Once again, we started in my parent’s cove. This time working the point in our first casts.  I was pitching a drop shot while Aaron bounced a shakey head along the bottom.  On my first cast. I got bit and reeled in this feisty little two pounder with my parent house in the background.
Tumblr media
A great way to start the day.  Made the windy, 40 degree morning a bit more bearable.  We cast everything in the tacklebox over the next two hours, not picking up a single nibble.  We worked way deep into the cove, which was packed with boats casting the spawning flats and pre spawn staging areas.  But we couldn’t muster another bite.
With only a single non-prize-worthy fish to show for the morning, we headed home for a hearty breakfast which was made to order!  Aaron went with the omelet, while I opted for the ham and eggs!
Tumblr media
This is like staying at an all-inclusive property!  Eat and drink whatever we want, whenever we want.  We feasted, warmed up, regrouped, and figured out a new game plan for the rest of the day.
Aaron and I made our way to the shorelines of Birdsong Hollow.  We cast up and down this cove for nearly two hours picking up only one short fish.  We then changed directions and headed out to the choppy main channel.  We knew we’d get beat up in the big surf, but we felt like it gave us our best chance for catching a pre-spawn swamp donkey.  I was throwing the biggest bait I have, the YUM Flash Mob Jr, rigged similar to Aaron’s presentation yesterday.  Casting it on my 7’ heavy rod with 80lb braid, I was probably going to throw out my shoulder - but it would be worth it if we got a big strike.  Around noon, we got a strike, just not the giant we were looking for.
Tumblr media
About the same time, Aaron hooked up with a fish on his spinnerbait.  The way this fish was spazzing in the water made it apparent it wasn’t a bass.  Instead, it was a nice little channel catfish.
Tumblr media
We continued fishing the afternoon jumping from one spot to the next.  We worked a couple back creeks in Jackson Branch Cove as well as the rip rap around the Hawaiian Island.  Finally we made the trip back into Jobson Hollow where we finished the day pitching the docks around Village Marina.
Tumblr media
While I was getting hung up on submerged dock cables on nearly every cast, Aaron was busy catching this bass in front of the waterfall.  A good way to end the day.
Tumblr media
We loaded the boat up at Village, and headed out to the Grand Glaize Park for the awards ceremony.  Finally, the sun was starting to warm things up, and attendance was much better this year than last.  I’d guess about 300 people were there which represents about 5% of the total anglers in the tournament.
Tumblr media
The 7.93lb bass hung on to win the event and was caught on a Crock-o-gator jig.  Rounding out the top four was a 7.11, 7.06 and 6.83.  Once again, these fish were caught using the same presentation Aaron and I used at various times thought the weekend.  Spinnerbait, shakey head (w/ 10” worm) and jig.  All it took was to drop the right bait on the right size fish at the right time.  Just as it happened to them, it could have just as easily happened to us.  That’s what makes this tournament so special.  Anybody can win on any given cast!
Unfortunately for us, gas money was not offered for MN anglers this year.  Instead they gave it to Colorado, California, Michigan and South Dakota.  But in an unexpected turn of events, my name was called for an early bird registration prize.  It was worth $500!!!
Tumblr media
That night, we once again feasted.  Homemade Momma-cotti, salad and garlic toast.  To. Die. For.
Although the tournament weather left a bit to be desired, it was an absolute blast fishing the in the Big Bass Bash and staying with my parents again.  I can’t think of anything I’d change with the hospitality, except, maybe Mom could churn up some homemade ice cream next time.  Haha!
And while we were fishing, Brianna, Nana and Grandpa didn’t have much for downtime.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They spent the weekend sharing milkshakes, mini-golfing, playing at Minor Mike’s arcade, Dog Patch USA, and cooking for us fishermen.  And lots of Cooper time!
Tumblr media
They even made me this sweet apron with all my favorite things!
Tumblr media
The 2020 Big Bass Bash is April 18 & 19, 2020.  I’ve already got it on my calendar!  No way I’d miss out on another trip to see Nana and Grandpa with my best fishing partners!
Tumblr media
4/29/19
The drive home seemed WAY quicker.  Aaron and I continued to joke about Greg, who had contacted me several times throughout the weekend about the boat.  He was hot for my boat, and needed it today.  I told Greg I wouldn’t be home until the afternoon but he was welcome to come by and see it this evening.  He told me, “I am not coming by to see it, I am coming by to buy it.”  Okay Greg!  Greg claimed he had “17K, cold, hard, cash.”  I’ll believe it when I see it.
During the bumpy seas on Saturday, I lost one of my Humminbird Gimbal mounting screws.  It’s currently somewhere 100’ underwater in the Ozarks. Greg probably wouldn’t be happy about this!  We stopped quick at Bass Pro in Des Moines so I could pick up a new one.  Unfortunately, they were out of stock of the $10 screw, but the guy working behind the fish finder counter offered me a free extra one he had!  Are you serious?  Bass Pro just gets better and better every time we stop in.  Around 4PM, we pulled up to the house and Aaron went on his way.  Brianna and I had a date at the car wash to clean up the filthy boat.
Later that evening, Greg did indeed show up to the house.  He gave the boat about a 30 minute lookover before stating he wanted to buy it.  The whole thing was surreal.  Was I really selling my boat?  I hadn’t even stopped to consider that if I went through with this, it would be the first time in seven years I wouldn’t be boat owner on fishing opener.
Tumblr media
Sure, that boat has been a thorn in my side and caused me more drama on the water than I care to mention.  But the happiness that little Ranger has brought to my life has been priceless.  I was blessed to find that perfect little boat 7 years ago in Indiana.  At the time, I paid $16,000 for a three year old boat with 11 hours on the motor (the MSRP was $26,345).
We drew up some quick paperwork and Greg made good on his claim by throwing down $17,000 in cold, hard, cash, onto to deck of the boat.   Yep, my little investment in floating happiness, netted me $1,000 more than what I paid for the boat in 2013.  There is no doubt, the Ranger brand holds it’s value!  In less than an hour, the transaction was completed.   I handed Greg the keys to the boat and asked him to send me pictures every now and then.  We hooked up the Ranger to Greg’s truck and he cautiously pulled out of the driveway, as I had done so many times in the past.  I watched from the driveway as he towed my baby away.  It was a very sad moment.  No more Ranger.
Tumblr media
But it also meant, no more DRAMA!  And even better, it was time to start shopping for a new boat!  Stay tuned.

A week after Glenda
University of the Philippines Los Baños, July 2014
I.
There is a loud crash, and then I am awake. It is a sodden morning. Noisy, too. The rains and winds, so they seem, are capable of a dreadful song. At this time, outside, on a normal day, the sky would be a delicate blue. Today, it is gray, of the bluntest kind. And it has seeped into my room, and the color informs me that an unceremonious morning arrived while I was sleeping.
More than 24 hours ago, a government vehicle made rounds as I made a last-minute run to the supermarket. A man’s voice wailed through a megaphone. He announced that a strong typhoon was heading for our town of fields and coconut pies. The announcer proceeded to mention 2006 super typhoon Milenyo, which uprooted many trees, damaged properties worth millions, and caused a province-wide blackout that lasted for weeks. He said that Glenda, who was on her way, was even stronger. We were instructed to prepare for the worst.
Hearing the chaos now, seeing through my bedroom window the nearby trees helpless under Glenda’s onslaught, I realize the announcer was right. Seven hours in, she—the formidable she—didn’t show any signs of weakening.
I jump out of bed, and rush to open my window. One of our two rambutan trees has given in to Glenda’s gale, snapping and falling right on top of our carport. As a result, the iron columns have bowed down, bent at an angle under the broken tree’s weight. Our 23-year old car directly beneath the lowered roof, as far as I could see, is undamaged. I run to the end of our house, to another window. My heart sinks as I see our santol and mango trees splayed on the lawn. I step outside to study the damage to the carport, on top of it the fallen rambutan is being bounced intermittently by the wind’s might. I come close and hear the sound of metal rasping on metal.
My father and I decide to brave the storm. We set two goals. First, we need to remove the rambutan trunk off of the car port.  We can do that strategically by sawing off the smaller branches, before finally detaching the upper trunk from the base. Second, we agree to clear the road facing our fence. Fallen branches are blocking the road.
Still in clothes I slept in, I proceed to do my tasks. In a matter of seconds, I am soaked. We proceed with caution, on guard for flying tin roof and other debris the strong wind could direct our way.
When we are done, I proceed to the garden to lament over the trees. They were my age.
II.
Glenda finally leaves a little before noon, when the chaos she left was free to be looked upon. She, the rueful mother who has just scolded her child, leaves us with a quiet, as if to give space where there once was matter, as if to acquaint our town with loss. It is under a stark afternoon sun that nature’s supremacy is underlined. Mobile phone reception is down. Power is out. Outside, everything is as what one would expect to see on the evening news after a storm, minus the static: a collage of roofless homes, fallen electric posts, countless plant casualties, and lives dislodged, even lost. I join my neighbors in assessing the damage, our eyes darting at every direction.
As the day goes on, news spread that the university has been devastated, and that in the towns down south, things are more severe. Flooding. Up to the chest. I imagine people climbing up their roofs, waiting for their rescue, or their end. And despite surviving hundreds of typhoons in my life, I fail to suppress my wonder at how nature can be so destructive and cruel, how easily it can displace us.
After we are done with our immediate surroundings, talk begins. And in the sudden quiet, this time the calm after the storm, stories are exchanged. We proceed to an instantaneous regalement of Glenda. Everyone in our neighborhood survived. Everyone witnessed it. Everyone now has their own account to tell.
Living in this country necessitated that each of us become a typhoon veteran. And so we have.
III.
A week after Glenda, our area still has nothing strong to counter the darkness of the night. Faint candle light glows could be seen from our neighbors’ windows. Occasionally, if one would listen intently, the sound of a battery-operated radio could be heard. The quiet this time of day offers is nice, especially if the context is disregarded. The hot, humid nights weren’t.
We have yet to see a Meralco truck and its men to work on the nearby electric posts. It is easy to spot where the wires had snapped. There would always be a few people gathered around it, not knowing exactly how to repair them. Our freezer has been empty for five days and counting. In our kitchen, there is a growing collection of saucers, on it are melted candle wax. The idea of electricity has become fainter. In spite of this, we have begun to slowly develop a routine.
Dinners are usually hurried; we have to eat before the sun dips. We wash our dishes in the dim candle light that is always shared. After the chores, we gather around the light and talk. If not talk, then maybe play. We easily recall silly games everyone played growing, games that don’t need electricity. And if we aren’t playing, we’d be sleeping. The dark coupled with the silence make catching sleep the easiest thing.
In other houses, such isn’t the case. Days after Glenda had left, a neighbor’s house caught fire. The classic case of the candle next to the curtain. I was the one to notice it first, and so had the task of screaming for help. From the street, I watched their house coughing up smoke in the already swarthy evening. Below, men and women passed buckets of water to splash on the flames. The fire crept to the adjacent house and a tree that survived the storm. That night, the neighborhood had a newfound ethereal glow, which the firemen eventually put out. No one got hurt, but the event did mark the first noisy night since Glenda. Two firetrucks had come. When they left and the commotion was over, I went outside to look at the wreckage. The smoke had left, while the smell of rain hadn’t.
IV.
At four o’clock in the afternoon, I decide to go for a campus run. I leave the house wishing that when I come back there’d finally be electricity again.
Running on campus felt like running through a forest trail. The roads and sidewalks have disappeared. Leaves, branches, and chainsawed tree trunks lay everywhere. Views I didn’t see before present themselves to me. The trees and things that obscured them before are now gone.
I run over a bridge and take the turn that leads uphill, to what we call the forestry campus. Up here is a similar scenario of fallen trees and branches. Tree roots expose themselves to onlookers. Here and there are electric posts and wires that would obviously take weeks or even months to fix. A long stretch of road lined with trees that leads to Mt. Makiling’s trail has been cleared, no doubt by Glenda. Because of this, a rare and majestic view of the fabled mountain could now be seen by passersby. I wonder just how many of those ancient plants had faltered. I almost forget the place is a forest reserve. Still, the whole area is steeped in reticence, a soldier convalescing after a war. Even the familiar insects’ buzz is subdued.
I am already on my way down when it starts to rain. It is quite unlike the rain from the storm; it is calm and almost soft, as though an apology. The fine drops hit me. They hit the dead leaves that have turned to mush on the road, the bare branches of the trees above. Passing under a surviving narra tree, with its many branches severed and torn, I am quick to spot, in contrast with everything else’s pallor, a spot of vibrant green. New leaves are beginning to sprout. I stop in my tracks to study these minute bursts of life, finding more of them.
When I have my fill, I shift back to the rain. I lift my face to taste that which is as bowed to fate and powerless as the rest of us.

- #NintendoSwitchPresentation Thoughts - After Americans have stayed up late & Europeans braved midnight (& I woke up at 6:30 am *Hehee*) for it, it's finally over. The Nintendo Switch has been shown to the world along with a SLEW of games. So what did I think of it? Well, here are my thoughts on Nintendo's Switch event dated 13th of January 2017! Ya know for a professional presentation, It certainly was a fun watch, which was unexpected! Lots of fun animations, some guys wearing crazy outfits & doing poses, even Mr. Kimishima himself had a bit of fun with this! While he mostly took the role of leader of this presentation, near the end he smiled as he was given the task of revealing Zelda BotW's release date by Reggie, Miyamoto & Aonuma. Reveals were constant (Even after the event), lots of details about the Switch & of course: LOTS of games! But the presentation wasn't without flaws. The biggest one I had was how despite there being so many games, most were teased, given a TBA or won't be coming until the holidays of 2017. It makes me worry that the launch won't be as big & impactful as we were hoping. That's ultimately my biggest problem with the presentation. So overall, it was a good time & I left smiling in the end. But hey, I know why you guys came to this one: My thoughts on the Switch & games revealed. So let's get right to it! -Nintendo Switch It's definitely impressive & demonstrations of the Joy-Con among other things made me like it even more, but I won't lie in saying that the battery life (While adequate) leaves something to be desired. The price seems OK, but we'll see how well discounts & bundles do later on. -1, 2, Switch It's a nice party mini games collection that showcases the Switch's potential, but I don't see myself playing it. It's also very situational so you're likely not going to play it often. -Arms Another showcase game for the Switch. Most are probably not gonna bother with this one, but I'll admit: I'm intrigued! Original characters & original gameplay. Plus, it reminds me of PUNCH OUT!!, that's a plus! -Splatoon 2 (KNEW it was a sequel! HA!) & WHAT a sequel... I never thought Splatoon would evolve this far. There's just so much to mention: Outfits, Tentaclecuts, Weapons, Specials, OMG I want this so badly!! -Super Mario Odyssey Just... WOW. Mario once again in Brooklyn... Who would've expected THAT? Colourful worlds, Mario 64 flashbacks, AMAZING graphics, eyes on Mario's hat... But no Luigi. BIG minus there. -Xenoblade 2 Not gonna pick this one unfortunately. I liked X, but it was a chore to play for me despite loving what was in X. But yeah, looks nice. -Fire Emblem Warriors ..... Look I know I didn't like Hyrule Warriors, but..... I'm IN!!! -Shin Megami Tensei Looks fine, not much else I can say. -Project Octopath Traveler Very nice graphical style, but not enough shown to say more... -Skyrim Not a Skyrim fan myself, so insert your opinion here please. -No More Heroes Switch Not a fan of this franchise personally, plus it was only mentioned so... -FIFA Switch I have a feeling we'll be seeing a LOT of Nintendo Switches outside thanks to this... -The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Besides being as stunning as usual, I never thought things would be this desperate & emotionally driven. I'm excited for this, go WiiU version too! *Post-Event Reveals* -Super Bomberman R- I haven't played a Bomberman game since the 8-bit game. I'm in! -Puyo Puyo Tetris- Happy for some Puyo fans I know. Have fun! -Sonic Mania & 2017- Welcome back Sonic, surprise me Blue Blur! -Mario Kart 8 Deluxe- SPLATOON DLC!! Want, want, WANT!! & there you have it, all my thoughts on the presentation. What did YOU think? Let me know in the Tumblr or Twitter comments. Have a good day everyone & thanks for reading! 😊💙

Peg Perego John Deere Gator XUV, Green

That Time a WWII German U-Boat Sank as a Result of Flushing a Toilet
In the 1970s, BP oil pipeline workers came across a curious item about 12 miles southwest of Cruden Bay, Aberdeenshire sitting about 86 meters under the surface- an old German U-Boat. In fact, one of the last U-Boats ever sunk in WWII. Unlike so many of its fellow subs, however, this one's demise came about owing to a sequence of events all stemming from someone flushing the toilet incorrectly... So what exactly happened here?
U-1206, a Type VIIC submarine, was officially ordered on April 2, 1942 and ultimately launched on December 30, 1943. About a year and a half later, On April 6, 1945, the shiny new craft with its crew of 50 men departed from Kristiansand, Norway on its first non-training patrol machine.
Pertinent to the topic at hand is that while most submarines at the time used a storage tank to stow the product of flushing on board toilets and other waste water, with stereotypical German engineering efficiency, U-boat designers went the other way and decided to eject the waste directly into the ocean.
On the plus side, this saved valuable space within the submarine while also reducing weight. The downside, of course, was that ejecting anything into the ocean required greater pressure inside than out. As a result, U-boats had long required that, in order to use the toilets, the ship would have to be near the surface
Of course, being so close to or on the surface is generally to be avoided when on patrol if a sub captain wants to see his ship not blown up. This resulted in crewmen who needed to purge their orifices while submerged needing to do so in containers, which would then be stored appropriately until the sub needed to surface and the offending substances could be ditched over board.
As you can imagine, this didn't exactly improve the already less than ideal smell of the air within the sub while it was plodding away down under. But there was nothing much that could be done about this...
That is, until some unknown German engineers designed a high pressure evacuation system. As to how this system worked, in a nutshell, the contents of the toilet were piped into an airlock of sorts. Once the offending matter found its way into said airlock, this would be sealed and subsequently pressurized, at which point a valve could be opened which would eject the fecal matter and fluids into the sea.
This all brings us to eight days into the patrol mission, on April 14, 1945.
Now, before we get into this, it should be noted that there are two versions of the story of what happened next- one version is stated by literally every single source we could find discussing this event on the interwebs, as well as repeated on the show QI and found in countless books on the subject. As for the other version, if you dig a little deeper, thanks to the good people at the Deutsches U-Boot Museum Archive, you can actually find the official account from 27 year old Captain Karl-Adolf Schlitt, who, minus a couple letters in his last name, couldn't have been more aptly named for what was about to occur.
All this said, in both cases, the root cause of the sub's sinking were the same- improper use of the toilet's flushing mechanism.
That caveat out of the way, as the vessel was cruising along at around 70 meters below the surface and about eight miles from Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, the popular version states that Captain Schlitt had need of evacuating his bowels and so, no doubt with dignity befitting a man of his stature and rank, did his business in the toilet. That done, he was now left to try to flush the thing.
Unable to figure out the complicated contraption, Captain Schlitt called in help from the "W.C. Waste Disposal Unit Manager"- literally the only guy on board officially trained in how to flush the toilet, apparently also known among the crew as (translated), "the shit-man".
Unfortunately for the men that would soon die as a result, for whatever reason the crewman who was supposed to know how to flush the toilet made a mistake and turned the wrong valve...
That's the popular version to which we could not find any primary document to support it, despite it being widely parroted. As for the official version, Captain Schlitt himself claimed,
In April 1945 U-1206 was in the North Sea off Britain. On board the diesel engines were faulty. We could not charge our batteries by the snorkel any more. In order to get the diesels working again we had put down about 8-10 miles from the British coast at 70mts, unseen by British patrols... I was in the engine room, when at the front of the boat there was a water leak. What I have learned is that a mechanic had tried to repair the forward WC's outboard vent. I would say - although I do not have any proof - that the outer vent indicator either gave false readings or none at all.
As to why said mechanic was attempting to work on the toilet's outboard vent while deeply submerged, that's every bit as much of a mystery as to why an engineer trained in how to properly flush the toilet would have screwed it up so badly in the Captain Schlitt pooping version of the story.
Of course, it is always possible that the good Captain made up his version of things to avoid personal embarrassment and perhaps the other version came from crew members giving a very different account, but we could not locate any crew member's version of events to verify that.
Whichever story is true, the result in either case was the contents of the toilet, if any, and the ocean outside shooting like a jet stream into the submarine.
Things were about to get a whole lot worse.
You see, as alluded to in Captain Schlitt's account, the U-1206 was a diesel electric sub, featuring twin Germaniawerft F46 four-stroke engines, which charged a bank of batteries which, in turn, powered two electric motors capable of producing 750 horsepower combined. The problem was that the batteries were directly below the toilet area. According to Captain Schlitt, when the water rushed in, "...the batteries were covered with seawater. Chlorine gas started to fill the boat."
As this was all happening, Captain Schlitt ordered the vessel to be surfaced. He then states, "The engineer who was in the control room at the time managed to make the boat buoyant and surfaced, despite severe flooding."
So here they were, diesel engines down for maintenance, batteries soaking in seawater, having taken on a significant amount of said water, chlorine gas filling the ship, and on the surface just off the coast of enemy territory.
The nightmare for Captain Schlitt was about to get worse. As he noted in his account of events, "We were then incapable of diving or moving. At this point, British planes and patrols discovered us..."
With few options available, Captain Schlitt ordered various valves on the U-1206 be opened in order for it to fill with water, after which the crew abandoned the sub, with it shortly thereafter sinking.
The crew made their way to the Scottish coast on rubber rafts, but things didn't go well here either. Schlitt states, "In the attempt to negotiate the steep coast in heavy seas, three crew members tragically died. Several men were taken onboard a British sloop. The dead were Hans Berkhauer, Karl Koren, and Emil Kupper."
Ultimately 10 crewmen did make it shore, but just like their surviving compatriots at sea, were promptly captured.
In the aftermath, thankfully for just about everyone, just 16 days later, on April 30, 1945, Hitler bravely, and with no regard for his own personal safety, infiltrated the Führerbunker and single handedly managed to rid the world of one of the most notorious individuals of all time by putting a bullet through his own brain. About a week after that, Germany finally surrendered.
As for what happened to Captain Schlitt after, this isn't clear, other than he appears to have lived to the ripe old age of 90, dying on April 7, 2009.

Every odd number of the ask until you get bored or don't want to do them anymore. ;)
okay so as I’ve already told you, tumblr ate the draft of the answers I had done last night. And well, as I’m not as drunk today I’ll skip a couple ones that I had answered and now feel a little too personal for the wide public.
5. Is there someone who can always make you smile?
YOU BUBBA 💖
7. What was your life like last year?
Pretty much the same, minus the new healthy lifestyle. School, trying to keep myself busy and out of my head.
9. Who did you last see in person?
My mom
11. Are you listening to music right now?
Nope. I love music but after 7hrs of driving it starts being irritating. TV’s on with The Office rn.
13. How do you feel right now?
Not bad. Legs are still killing me from my training, but I manage! 😅
17. Opinion on insecurities.
Well, when I wrote this answer last night I was sitting at a table at a wedding where almost everyone else was on the dance floor. I’m not much of a ‘club’ person, and since it had become like this I set myself aside. I’m a spectator. I can find pleasure in watching others have fun, if that makes sense. But yeah, a part of this is also me not feeling super confident with myself. Everyone has their little things we just have to make priorities and see if they hold us back for the wrong or right reasons.
19. Have you ever been to New York?
Yep, twice. I was surprised that I liked it as much as I did. But it’s not my fave. A short weekend once in a while is plenty.
21. Age and birthday.
Same as next question, January
23. Fears
On the rational side; the ocean. It FASCINATES me as much as it fucking freaks me out. But if we want to get deep I guess I always worry that I’m not going to be a good partner...
27. Things I hate.
Bell peppers. Guys who wear their pants under their asses. The feeling of having a 3/4 sleeve or a long sleeve rolled up underneath a jacket.
29. Favourite film(s)
Both Pacific Rim movies. MCU. Tangled & Brave. The Narnia movies.
31. 3 random facts.
I need to buy new shirts.
My 10 pound dog scares my 110 pound dog.

The guitar. A new language. How to accept myself better.
35. Favourite subject.
Math and science

43. Favourite song ever.
Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol
45. How you found out about your idol.
