The sun and sand, some tasty waves, and a salt-filled breeze are all Derek needs.

Somehow, Stiles works his way into the equation.

[excerpt]: Stiles looks out toward the water. The sun's rays catch him at an angle that makes his eyes look golden, and Derek can see the individual grains of sand that dust his face. "You know the worst thing about it all?" Stiles asks softly. "It's that I'm going to be known forever as the goofy sidekick on a kid's show. Like, that's my legacy." Derek takes a deep breath. He can relate. He was once considered a prodigy in the surfing world: touted as the next Kelly Slater after he'd won several local competitions right out of high school and then the Billabong Pipeline Masters at twenty, followed by a second-place finish at qualifiers for the US Open of Surfing. The recognition was heady; the groupies and sponsors, more so. And then there was Kate, who had entered Derek's life as hot and quick as wildfire before razing his world to the ground.

I've been thinking a lot about art and why it doesn't feel good anymore, and a lot of what I keep coming back to is a) simply not being happy with my style, but b) not feeling comfortable experimenting because I feel like I need things to be """post worthy""" 🙄 so like... it's kind of a vicious cycle lmao so I'm heeding the advice I used to give people trying to overcome perfectionism which was "don't worry about making things that are 'good enough' to post and just post everything."

So... some vague style experimenting 🤷‍♂️ and also a sketch of Ilya from forever ago that I really liked but kept thinking I would come back and do more with.

I totally get the temptation to power through a dog's health or behavioural issues just to finish a title but consider... not doing that...

You should totally cosplay as Randvi in your own time of course! I would love to see that. Do you plan on making a hand made costume? Or a store bought one? I know you can buy costume for Eivor as it’s more popular but not for small characters such as Randvi

heyy💕 I‘ve wanted to make it myself with things I can buy and put together and then make her brooches and more character specific things myself. sadly there are no costumes available for her and I‘m not very experienced in making costumes etc. I‘ll also do it on my own because my friends aren‘t AC fans haha and I doubt anyone is going to recognize Randvi, since I haven‘t met any AC cosplayers on cons I went to yet. Maybe I should try going to a gaming specific con then. If anyone wants to go to a german con as valhalla or odyssey people together though? Let‘s go! Yeah right I mostly go to one or two cons a year here in germany and I go with friends but they aren‘t into AC but other things so it‘s fine and we can mentally support each other haha. Cosplaying is scary but Randvi‘s outfit looks pretty comfortable especially for winter conventions. Maybe I‘ll set the goal to make her brooch-like jewellery in the new year.

I want to CRY. I am getting calls from all the jobs I applied to MONTHS ago. I applied to a job like 5 times because I never heard back from them. And I gave up applying because it said in the application, after a month if you don't hear back apply again. And I just got tired. I got a call from a job I REALLY wanted!!! But I already accepted the job that called me first last week!! And I have a part time job where I'm getting training!!! And I'm just like!!!! Where was this job when I needed it months ago!!!!! I was so depressed and feeling so sad and inadequate!!!! And now everyone wants me and I'm like!!!!! OHMGGGG!!!!????!!! I still feel inadequate but I'm not that sad anymore, I'm actually anxious alskfjfkak!!! Like ahhhh why is the hiring process like this, it takes so LONG!!!! IDK how to think or feel!!!
