Morrigan sleeps at the town house after a night out and as she's trying to sneak out, she learns a secret about four people she never expected to find together.

AKA: Mor and Rhys hear some HOT GOSS because they're SNOOPS.

Morrigan walked down the steps of Rhys’s Velaris town house quietly. After a rowdy night out at Rita’s she’d decided to sleep here since it was closest to the bar. What she’d forgotten in her drunken state was that Eris was visiting the Night Court today, and Rhysand had put him up in the town house. She winced as she placed some weight on the creaky stair a few steps down, containing her sigh of relief when, for once, it didn’t make a sound. As Morrigan reached the halfway point on the stairs, she heard a voice that made her suddenly stop. “Come on, Eris. You’ve gotta work with us here.” Cassian’s voice had Morrigan’s heart pounding. Why was he here? What could he possibly need with Autumn Court’s heir? Eris’s scoff wafted up the stairs, sharp even from where Morrigan hunched almost a floor above. “I’m pretty sure I’m already doing that, you brute. Rhysand doesn’t know truly why I’m here because you three didn’t want to tell him yet.” This was all too much for Morrigan and her head began to spin. She sat down on the stairs as quietly as possibly and reached out to her cousin with her mind. What’s wrong, Mor? Rhys responded almost instantly, sensing her panicked state. Get to the town house. Eris is here with Cass and two other people. They’re planning something they’re specifically keeping from you and I don’t know what it is. Rhys’s reply was clipped and hard, Where are you exactly? On that creaky step. They’re down in the living room so winnow to the second floor and walk down to meet me. Moments later, Rhysand was silently making his way down the steps to sit beside Morrigan. Have they said anything else? Rhys asked in her mind, cocking his head toward the living room to try and hear the people shuffling around. Mor shook her head, remaining silent as they listened in on the conversation below.

obviously When We'll Be Lovers, Lovers At Last by @fieldofdaisiies was incredible and I’m loving A Court of Covert Desire so far, but if I would have stopped there I would have missed out on Ultima Ex Nobis - Nessian AU!!!

Nessian, a little Azris thrown in there. Perfect amount of angst and fluff and tenderness.

Being relatively new to this fandom I just have to say that this Acotar fandom is unbelievable disrespectful to each other in term of ship wars. Where’d the etiquette go?. I see NONSTOP anti-shippers posting/reblogging/commenting/harassing on the ship posts they don’t agree with. On insta, tiktok, tumblr, twitter, etcetc. Also tagging ships that are not related to the post or tagging ships/characters you are making fun of is pretty low of you.

Am I the only one that has absolutely lost their patience with it. Just some examples cause it happens with ALL ships. Do not start discussing how elucien or gwynriel is better on a artists fanart of Elriel. If i was an artist trying to show my love for something and someone did that i would lose my shit on them. Or don’t post about how awful Nesta is on a nessian or nesta appreciation post. Or Don’t tell an azris(whatever eris and az ship is called not sure) that azriel and elain are true mates on their post. Why would you even do that in the first place?

If you see a post about a ship someone is celebrating that has nothing to do with your ship why are you pushing your ship or opinion on said ship on other people? WHY?

Mind your own business. Make your own post. Ship whatever you want. Pushing your ship on others is rude and won’t make them change their mind and will in fact make people angry and start fights. Thats the WHOLE POINT of tagging things and blocking tags too.

If you think i’m out of my mind thinking Elaine and Azriel will be endgame in the next book leave me to my delusions please. Thanks

Its also very hard to avoid ships/topics that can cause triggers when they are everywhere you look.

No matter how mean and rude you are about your ship SJM is still not going to write what you want and instead will write whatever she pleases, so just live in peace for gods sake. What will be will be.

If you think you should be able to start fights and be disrespectful let me know here so i can block you, thanks.

After half an hour, they walked shoulder to shoulder into the house. Their wings drug the ground out of exhaustion and they were limping but smiling and laughing anyway. Nesta was sitting at the dining room table when they passed, reading a book and playing with a bowl of fruit in front of her. She raised an eyebrow at them as they came into view and smirked. “Pitiful.” “Says the one who didn’t train at all today.” “I’m entitled to a day off.” Azriel knew she hadn’t been back up there since she had stabbed Cassian, something else no one seemed to be talking about. Her eyes flicked to Cassian’s shoulder so quickly Azriel almost missed it, probably would have if he hadn’t been searching her face. “So who won?” She asked. “I did.” They both said in unison and Nesta let out an unexpected snort before turning up her nose at them both. “You stink. Both of you.” Cassian held a hand to his heart in mock hurt and bent to kiss Nesta on the nose. “Take pity on us my love. Your males have been working so hard, perhaps you can show your appreciation by washing us yourself.” Nesta smacked him playfully in the shoulder. “You pig.” “Oh come on my love, Az wouldn’t even carry me after all the damage he did to my poor body. Someone has to want to take care of me.” “Pummeling you into oblivion is exhausting work, perhaps it’s you who should be carrying me.” Azriel laughed, leaning heavily onto Cassian for support as he pretended to faint. Cassian caught him with a huff, lifting him up into his arms. “Take pity on us?” He asked Nesta who rolled her eyes but walked ahead of them towards her bedroom anyway, perhaps swishing her hips more than was necessary. “Ech. You do stink.” Azriel turned his face away and pretended to gag while he tried to get up out of Cassian’s grasp. Cassian laughed and just held tighter before sauntering off after Nesta. “Come on princess, let’s get you cleaned up because I hate to break it to you,” Cassian leaned down and took a long, slow sniff of Azriel’s hair before grumbling in his ear, “but you stink too.” The moment had gone from playful to something much more intimate in the blink of an eye. Cassian carried Azriel all the way to his rooms, debating for a moment just disappearing into his shadows back to his own room. However, the moment they stepped through the threshold of the bathing room, both males watched with full attention as Nesta, her back turned towards them, let her gown drop from her shoulders, down to her waist then puddle on the floor at her feet. She began stepping down into the sunken bath and they were drawn to her like moths to a flame. Cassian practically dropped Azriel to the ground and began taking off his shirt and kicking off his boots as he walked to his mate who still had her back to them both. Azriel undressed as well and had his pants unlaced and slipped off before Cassian. While the other male was fumbling with his own laces, distracted by his mate, Azriel walked up behind him, pressing his bare body against Cassian’s back. He wrapped his arms around Cassian’s waist and peeled Cassian’s fingers away from his own laces.

Can Fic writers stop tagging every single goddamn ship like this please! Or at least say it’s an Elriel/whoever endgame fic or something. Theres no way I am wasting time reading a fic if I don’t know who the endgame is….no way I am risking reading a 30 chapter fic thats starts off elriel or ends with a different ship. This goes for any ship/shipper/fandom, I doubt a Nessian wants to read a potential Eris/Nesta fic by accident(unless they’re into that i guess lol), or a elucien wants to read a Vassien fic, etc…

I can’t be the only one who feels this way. That couldn’t possibly gain writers more followers.

Who the hell is the fic about? Unless its a poly fic theres only one endgame.

This drives me absolutely batshit up-the-wall crazy 🙄 🤬
