Lo'ak w/ a Human Girlfriend
Y'all went to town with the Neteyam post- over 100 notes in less than 24 hrs?? 😳 Thank you thank you thank you 🥰
Anyway, here's Lo'ak's💙
Tumblr media
Unlike his big brother, no one was that surprised that Lo'ak ended up dating a human. Along with Kiri, he's always been the most invested in his father's original species, accompanying Kiri and Spider to the lab and learning about human stuff.
His first thought when he saw you was 'there's humans that aren't ugly like Spider??' 💀 Yes, he'd seen other female scientists around but never paid them any attention as they were so much older. But you? Absolutely blew him away.
When he finally got the balls to tell you how he felt, the two of you became the most sickeningly sweet couple anyone on Pandora had ever seen.
Jake, and even Neytiri, were approving of your relationship. In some ways, you brought out a more tender, responsible side to Lo'ak that Jake would praise often.
Now, although this boy is over 2ft taller than you, he's such a clingy baby. His hands will always be on you (not like that) , and there's really nothing you can do about it. Whether it be holding hands, having his face nuzzled into the top of your head, or him squishing your soft waist, his touch is a constant.
Speaking of, you two definitely link pinkies and make pinky promises. Being with you helps him accept his more human-like traits, and it's just one of the many things he loves about you.
He's also fascinated by your human features, and lack of Na'vi ones. He finds your tiny hands and feet so cute, not to mention the softness of your flesh that's uncharacteristic for Na'vi women. And he's very vocal about his admiring curiosity, always asking you questions and giving compliments.
Now, Lo'ak is protective of you, but he's also a klutz. Like, if you ask to sit on his shoulders while walking through the forest, you'd better hold tight because you're so light to Lo'ak that he might forget that you could fall a considerable way. So, you've had a few near-misses and minor accidents, but each time he learns from his mistakes and vows to be better.
Overall, your relationship with Lo'ak helps him embrace the parts of him that he's always been insecure of. With you, he feels needed and seen, an entirely new experience which he loves you for.
Bonus; He definitely calls you babe, baby, syulang, cutie, tiny, etc.

Okay but imagine:
Neteyam and Lo’ak both falling in love with reader after seeing her threaten Tuk and Kiri’s bullies and seeing her become close friends with their sisters and them both pining over her from a distance but never actually talking to reader and driving Jake crazy until her smacks some sense into both of them
♡. "king(s) of your heart" —
Tumblr media
synopsis / in which the sully brothers are head over heels for you.
gn!reader | this is basically headcanons on a polygamous relationship between the sully brothers. polygamy is where two or more people share one person and only one person. they dont love eachother romantically. it is 1:40 am and I'm tired. yes that is a taylor swift reference in the title. lotsa words
Tumblr media
i am a firm believer that these boys like girls who, although kind, are still rough around the edges in some way. they see you cussing out aonung and his possé? instant attraction. instant. like *snap* instant. they see you playing with children and chasing them around? instant INSTANT infatuation. no joke. literally down bad seven seconds in.
thus, it starts the pining.
you start seeing little trinkets next to you, coincidentally left by the wind ( or by neteyam's tail swooping them into your vicinity ) — but still, you love them. you keep them. you cherish them. neteyam is ecstatic and lo'ak is NOT having that
lo'ak starts giving you a bunch of well thought out gifts. from afar. he steals the method his brother uses. his brother is pissed. jake sees this. is entertained at first. but then it just gets boring and he has to go all military dad on them.
"you two love them is what I'm seeing. you two love them so bad it's disgusting. am I correct?"
"yes sir."
"...good. you three remind me of me and your mother. but, if you keep on going like this, just pining over them without them knowing who you even are, then you'll never get them to be yours. your mother and I agree on polygamy being alright, but we also agreed on you two being cowards. ask them on a date. both of you. figure something out. I will not have cowards as sons. okay? okay. now go get 'em."
that half encouraging speech half scolding was EXACTLY what they needed. they settled everything aside, realized that love triangles were for white people, and instead settled on a polygamous relationship between you and them, based off of communication and shared love.
#bondingbrothers
the only problem was getting you to accept both of them... so let's go depending on your species,
if you're a human, you'd probably be more open to the idea which is obvious considering that humanity has always had polygamy in its history. so, it'd be easier for you to accept, and you do.
if you're a na'vi, a race that is canonically and strictly monogamous— you'd be conflicted. you wouldn't know whether or not this was right, except, you would follow your heart, in the end, wouldn't you? you'd be theirs as quick as a human would be. primarily because I know all of you are down bad for the sully brothers. it would be near impossible for a na'vi to enter a polygamous/amorous relationship canonically.
alright, im in the mood for a mini drabble, aren't you? ( featuring dreamwalker , aka , human reader !)
Tumblr media
"...what???" you breathed, confused. you had been caught off guard, initially, with how you'd been receiving trinket after trinket both in your avatar and out— and honestly , you thought it just couldn't get anymore surprising.
it did.
somehow, the culprit, or rather, the culprits, were the sons of Jake Sully, who is ... alot of honorable things. so , naturally , you're confused.
"we know that we like you, y/n— and we heard that polygamy was practiced amongst humans... so, you know, we wanted to see if you were for it." neteyam started, and lo'ak continued. "but if ya aren't—"
"oh I'm for it. I'm for this." you interjected. "just.. why me??"
they looked relieved but also offended at how you judged their tastes. how dare you , how could you not be confident in yourself !?!? absolutely unacceptable.
they'll love you until you're able to love yourself, and after that.
"excuse me-uh!" lo'ak gasped, his offense shown. "I will have you know that you are not just you??? where do you get that from?!? you're someone whose struggled through so much stuff and you're so strong and—" "
"quiet, skxawng." neteyam shushed, and lo'ak glared but reluctantly obliged. neteyam awkwardly coughed into his hand, picking up the pieces his brother dropped. "what we're saying is that— you're ... pretty cool. so, be ours?"
"but only if you want to!" lo'ak interrupted once again, then his head snapped to neteyam— "what'd i do?!" he said, as his brother punched him ( gently. ) they bickered, and bickered - and bickered. that is until your snicker caught them both stilling.. they smiled, knowing that they had both made you smile— and you laughed.
"you're both idiots!"
they took that as a yes, and it was.
Tumblr media
ALRIGHT IM TIRED OF BUILDING THE RELATIONSHIP ITS TIME TO ACTUALLY GIVE YOU A PEAK ON THE OFFICIAL RELATIONSHIP except we'll take it one step at a time <3
Tumblr media
— early days
first things first, things get so awkward between you guys ! this is your first relationship. this is neteyams first relationship. this is also lo'aks first relationship. and it's a polygamous relationship! it would've been a lot of work to communicate in the earlier days, especially since lo'ak and neteyam butt heads constantly.
lo'ak and neteyam are constantly planning fancy dates to surprise you, which can also double as brotherly hang outs, yeah, but they're so focused on wooing you in their own ways they forget to compromise and find a way both of them can woo you.
of course, you see this, and reassure them that hey— you don't have to spend this much time to make me happy! you guys already do by merely existing (and it is definitely not because the "y/n" we are speaking about is a reader insert and every reader is down BAD bad for the sully brothers)!
naturally, that doesn't solve the problem.
what solves the problem is you sitting down with them to communicate. you all guide eachother to a compromise, something that suits all of you. the brothers agree on an alternating schedule. one day would be a day where you'd just chill with primarily lo'ak, and one day would be a day where you'd just chill with primarily neteyam. however, Sundays? Sundays are bonding time between the three of you it's like a date! neteyam and you, lo'ak and you, and then its like reconnecting and bonding between brothers when it comes to lo'ak and neteyam.
the schedule worked well for you guys! neteyam could do his own thing, so could lo'ak, and they'd only have to cooperate for one day, which would still strengthen their relationship! also, you'd be showered in love all day!
perfect !!!!
— getting to know eachother better
naturally, they were not born on earth. you weren't either, but nonetheless— as a human, you know more about humanity than they ever will. especially since you keep yourself updated on trends & history & human literature — so naturally, they feed you information while you feed them information.
you tell them stories of human mythology and they stand in awe at how complex humanity can be in many other ways besides weapons. there is more to humanity than what meets the eye, and you show them that. you bring them local human foods like fries because I am a firm believer that the lab has an artificial garden that grows potatoes. they are in awe. they love fries. I hope you love fries too, reader. personally fries are the only thing I can imagine eating besides noodles.
other than the difference in species and the fact they're curious about your differences— they're also curious about you in general.
what is your deal? what makes you tick? what makes you happy? what has you absolutely excited? they hope you indulge them, and you hope they indulge you.
— general headcanons
neteyam prefers to keep affection private— the most you'll get from him is a forehead touch or kiss, and maybe a tail wrapped around your waist.
loak however is the opposite. kiss him, hug him, climb him, he'll absorb everything like a sponge. he's for pda 100% he will take any chance to show people he loves you more than he could love anyone else.
neteyam and lo'ak, ever the competitive siblings, love to compete in things — racing eachother, sparring with eachother, you name it— they're doing it and all in the hope of impressing you.
they're also very protective of you, in and out of your avatar body. you fall off a branch? "LO'AK GET THE FIRST AID KIT—" "GOT IT!" "GUYS ITS JUST A BRUISE—"
naturally, Jake is supportive of your relationship. he's seen alot of polygamy and polyamory in his lifetime, and he's not against it. he's all for it actually!! Jake Sully Number 1 LGBTQ+ Ally on Pandora. he rolls with the lgbtqia+ plus , guys. every moment. like, not to call people out but have you seen max patel???? that man is MORE THAN JUST AN ALLY and also it's quite literally 2100s. come on now. you can't tell me he wouldn't be an ally.
the siblings are willing to learn more about polygamy and welcome you with open arms! kiri is basically your best friend — tuk is the one child you swore to protect like seven seconds into meeting her. spider and you, both being human, are also friends! you exchange stories with eachother and also bicker alot!!
you cant expect neytiris support to be more than just advice or knowing looks. personally, I think she's more open minded than people take for. I have no evidence. I'm just right. she mothers you in no time.
you, lo'ak and neteyam are new to polygamy, and although no one can promise a peaceful ride— you could care less.
you can get through anything with eachother.

Fire of Souls
Part 2: An Expedition
Enemies to Lovers
Tsu'tey x Reader (younger sister of Jake Sully, dreamwalker)
Tumblr media
Anything written in italics is spoken in Na'vi
My direhorse drinks calmly from the pond as I watch Jake attempt to mount his steed. Neytiri stands beside him, her hands on her hips and amusement twinkling in her eyes. “Steady, Jake!’
“Argh!” He yells like a banshee and jumps on top of the direhorse. The creature shifts uncomfortably as Jake settles on his back. I raise an eyebrow and pat the animal beneath me. On Earth, I rode horses all the time but direhorse are something entirely different. The first time I sat on top of one; I felt immediately at home, it came so naturally to me. Jake on the other hand…
“Make tsaheylu,” Neytiri calls to him. Jake whips his hair around and connects to the direhorse. The animal freezes before stepping back nervously and shooting off into the forest. Jake holds on for a moment, then loses his grip. He flies into a pile of mud with a groan. Neytiri and I  laugh instantly.
“Thanks for the support guys,” Jake mumbles as he crawls to his feet.
Suddenly, the forest begins to rumble, the sound of hooves pierce through the air. Three direhorses break through the treeline, each one with a rider. Tsu’tey is in front of the pack, his head held high. My lips immediately turn downwards at the sight of his face.
For the past two weeks, I’ve been training with Neytiri and my brother. Tsu’tey keeps his distance but sometimes he’ll stop by and say something belittling. He usually targets Jake and avoids eye contact with me. Sometimes I stare at him with all my might, challenging him to look me in my eyes, but he never does. The way he ignores me is infuriating. Tsu’tey and his companions stop before us, their direhorses breathing heavily. They look incredibly self righteous, especially Tsu’tey with his permanently etched scowl.
Neytiri crosses her arms, clearly expecting trouble. Tsu’tey and his friends burst into laughter as they stare at Jake, covered in mud. Tsu’tey looks at Neytiri and cocks his head to the side. “What did I tell you? They’ll never learn.”
His words grind against my brain as anger pools in my stomach. Jake glares up at Tsu’tey, “Got a problem? Say it in English.”
I tell my direhorse to move towards Jake. Tsu’tey flinches slightly as I come closer but his eyes remain trained on Neytiri. He never speaks to me, not since my first night here. But everytime we're close to each other, the space between us grows hotter, filling with distaste and loathing. The tension circulates around me as I stop my direhorse right in front of him. I’m tired of him ignoring me. Actually, I’m tired of him in general. I set my mouth in a straight line as my direhorse blows out an irritated puff of air.
Tsu’tey’s head snaps towards me at the sound. His friends look at each other in surprise but Tsu’tey just deepens his frown. His eyes trace my legs, clearly noticing my natural posture on my direhorse. A smug look covers my face. That’s right asshole, two can ride a horse.
Tsu’tey shakes his head bitterly before staring at Jake. “You should go.”
“You’d miss me too much,” Jake replies. I choke back a laugh.
Tsu’tey’s rolls his wide shoulders as his companions shout rude remarks at my brother in Na’vi. Tsu’tey’s nostrils are flared and his strong chest is blown out. I can’t help the smile that creeps onto my face. Something about seeing Tsu’tey worked up…
“What’s wrong?” I mock. Tsu’tey turns his head slowly towards me like he can’t believe I've spoken. “Scared he might be a better warrior than you?”
Neytiri pauses, her eyes whisking between Tsu’tey and I. His friends hesitate, unsure of how to react to this. Tsu’tey lowers his head and glares at me through hooded eyes. “No, alien, he can’t even ride.”
Jake stiffens as Tsu’tey’s friends snicker. I lock eyes with Tsu’tey and a jolt runs through my body, igniting me with fury. “I can ride,” I smirk at him,“maybe even better than you.”
Tsu’tey scoffs, his beaded hair glistening in the light. “Impossible.” I narrow my eyes at him and he lifts his head smugly. God, he’s so arrogant.
“She is surprisingly good,” Neytiri mummers, “a natural.”
One of Tsu’tey’s friends pats his direhorse before looking up, a wicked grin on his face. “You know what this means?”
“No,” Tsu’tey barks, “do not say it.” He glares at his friend. My body is cold without his hot gaze on me.
Neytiri’s lips break into a smile, her eyes glittering mischievously. “Soloteu, tonight. Then we will see.”
I freeze. My stomach bubbles with nerves. What is that? Tsu’tey’s lips flatten into a straight line as his long fingers tighten on his direhorse.
“Are you going to refuse, Tsu’tey?” Neytiri coos.
Tsu’tey says nothing, his jaw clenching. I smirk, enjoying his discomfort.  I don’t know what Soloteu is but if it makes Tsu’tey shut up: I’m in. “Worried you’ll lose to some dreamwalkers?” I jab at him.
Tsu’tey spits angrily. “We begin at the eclipse.” His direhorse takes off into the forest, his friends following closely after. Tsu’tey’s hair flies behind him like a flag of victory. I force my eyes away to find Neytiri watching me.
She looks between Jake and I. “We have much work before tonight.”
“What’s tonight?” Jake asks, wiping the last bit of mud from his confused face.
~~~
Darkness covers the forest, making all the plants come to life, they glow and burst beneath my feet as Neytiri leads Jake and I deeper into the forest. My hands are trembling with anticipation. Neytiri explained Soloteu, it’s a game. There are two teams with the same amount of players. That means Jake, Neytiri, and me against Tsu’tey and his companions. The objective is to find the thanator cub hidden in the forest with a red ribbon tied around their neck. Whoever retrieves the ribbon without hurting any animals, wins. The only rule: you have to ride a direhorse.
“Do you seriously think I should play?” Jake asks for the hundredth time as we push through various trees. Neytiri shakes her head. “You must,” she hisses back to him. He mutters something under his breath that I can’t quite make out.
We break through the tree line into a clearing where Tsu’tey sits, already mounted on his steed. His friends chat happily behind him as he sits tall, his shoulders straight and stares off into the distance. What is he looking at? I trace the treetops but see nothing.
His head twists in our direction as he hears Neytiri walking up. “Ready?” She asks playfully before calling for direhorses. This must be their resting spot because instantly three horses appear through the trees. Neytiri makes tsaheylu as she mounts.
I force my hands to stop their shaking and mount a horse beside her, making tsaheylu. I slip easily into the seat and clap her side lovingly. A tingle runs down my spine. I look up to find Tsu’tey watching me, his face serious as always, as his eyes drop down to where my hand caresses the creature. I raise an eyebrow at him and he looks quickly away.
That’s weird. I open my mouth to say something when a horn blares through the clearing. Tsu’tey takes off immediately, faster than I ever knew a direhorse could run. His friends holler battle cries behind him as they follow, making excitement spread through my veins. Neytiri laughs, enjoying the game already.
“Go left, that is where the thanator den usually is,” Neytiri says, “and if you need help or find it, use this call.” She whistles a high note before dropping low and chittering twice. I don’t have a chance to nod before she bolts off into the night.
I sprint after her, feeling the wind whip my face as Jake’s voice follows me. “Wait!”
I shake my head as I go deeper into the forest. Riding through here will be difficult, there are thick roots covering the forest floor, large rocks with sharp edges, and various animals hooting in the branches above me. I tighten my grip on my steed, speaking calmly to her through our tsaheylu.
I’ve lost Neytiri but my direhorse knows her bearings. She leads me around each tree and stump as we navigate the forest naturally. She knows my goal and keeps her eye out as well. I scan my surroundings, searching for any sign of the red ribbon or Thanators. We have to win, Tsu’tey and his idiot friends cannot have another thing to hold over us. Speaking of, his friends hoot from a distance away. I tense, praying they didn't find the ribbon.
The wind is practically burning my face as we race through the trees until my eyes spot something. I jerk back in my seat. A large paw print is marked in the ground. My direhorse makes an uneasy sound as she slows down. I pat her and eye the strange marking. That couldn’t be a thanator… could it?
A high pitched whistle rings through the air followed by two deep tones. I pause, it sounded different than when Neytiri first did it. Wait… that’s not Neytiri. The signal rings through the air again, sending chills through me. Jake.
“Go girl,” I say roughly as my direhorse bolts in the direction of Jake’s calls.
I crash through the trees and onto a cliff where a large waterfall splays down. All my hopes of Jake having found the ribbon, vanish. He’s dangling over the edge of the cliff, his blue fingers grasping desperately at a few rocks on the edge. I jump off my direhorse and race over to him. His eyes widen as he sees me bolting towards him. “Wait, don’t—”
A giant figure jumps out from my peripheral vision. I duck to the ground instinctively, feeling my heart fly into my throat. A beast lands right in front of me, blowing hot steam out of its nostrils. I exhale sharply. What the hell is that thing?
I’ve studied Pandora for years and I’ve never seen a creature like this. Four massive horns curl on the outside of its head, six strong legs stilt from its bulky but flexible body.
“Just go!” Jake yells over the roar of the waterfall, his voice straining as his blue fingers begin to slip.
The beast blows an angry breath at me. I close my eyes for a moment before charging, letting all my army training and instincts take over. The beast runs at me, seeing my act as a threat. Once we’re right in front of each other, its nasty breath radiating from its mouth, I drop to my knees and slide beneath its body. Its skin is a strange mix between scales and fur. The beast continues running as I grab Jake’s struggling hands and pull with all my might.
But he’s heavy. His feet have no ledge, his entire body weight is resting in my hands. I wrap my arm around the rock, trying to give myself more strength but it’s slippery from the waterfall. I groan in pain as I try to lift him.
“Go,” Jake says through clenched teeth, “or we’ll both fall.”
“I’m not losing you too,” I mutter as Tom’s face flashes through my mind. I dig my fingers deeper into my brother's skin and heave. I whistle to Neytiri, practically screaming into it, praying she’s nearby.
The beast stops its running, making the forest seem way too quiet. Jake’s eyes grow as shakes his head. I won’t give up. I’m not losing another brother. I yank and yank, refusing to look behind me, even as the pounding begins again, heading right towards me.
“Y/N, GO!” Jake yells, the veins on the side of his neck protruding out.
The pounding grows louder and louder as the beast nears us, the entire ground shaking like a thunderstorm. I’m biting down on my lip so hard that I taste blood. My fingers are going numb around Jake’s hand. The beast exhales like a volcano exploding, his breath hitting my back in a hot wave. My eyes become frantic as I search for anything to help me. My chest is growing tighter and tighter. I’m going to die.
The beast is charging towards my back. This is it. At least I’m with Jake. I squeeze my eyes shut when a holler bursts through the trees.
“AHHHH!” A man’s voice yells. Someone lands behind me, sending a burst of air up my back. The beast’s paws stop their charging as it rears back and roars. Jake’s eyebrows shoot up. The sizzle of an arrow pierces the air before making a squishing sound as it enters the beast. The beast roars again, slamming into a tree, sending leaves all over the ground.
“Be gone!” The  voice yells furiously. I freeze, my hand slipping on Jake’s. I know that voice…
The beast growls. Another arrow flies through the air before thudding against the beast. The creature grunts angrily before stomping off between the trees. I don’t have a moment to be relieved because Jake’s hands are sweaty and he's falling through my grasp.
“Help me!” I call but I didn’t even need to. Tsu’tey is beside me, his large hands covering mine as we tow Jake over the cliff and on to safe ground. I throw my arms around Jake’s neck. He smells like sweat and blood. I hold my brother tightly. “You scared me,” I whispered.
“Don’t worry,” Jake mumbles, “can’t get rid of me that easily.”
We pull slowly apart. I almost lost another brother. I couldn’t bear that. Fear is still coursing through my veins when I remember that Tsu’tey is here.
He sits beside me, the warmth of his body seeps into my side. His fingers red from pulling and there’s a cut on his bicep. His eyes are drawn together, his mouth pulled down into his usual scowl. He doesn’t meet my eyes but I say it away, “Thank you, Tsu’tey.”
His golden eyes find mine, full of turmoil and emotions I can’t decipher. “I didn’t do it for you.”
I furrow my eyebrows. Jake starts to cough. Tsu’tey stands and walks a few feet away, blood slowly dripping from his cut. I exhale, slightly annoyed. “Well still, thanks.”
He stands like a statue with his shoulders rigid. He rubs his chin, his full lips moving each time his long fingers pass. Worry begins to pool in my stomach. “What was that thing?” I ask.
Tsu’tey growls at my words as his face becomes livid. Why is he so angry? Neytiri breaks through the treeline on foot. Her yellow eyes are big with worry and confusion. “What happened?”
Tsu’tey lethal expression turns grave. Jake fights his way to his feet. “Some beast attacked me,” he says.
Neytiri’s mouth falls open. “An animal attacked you?” Jake and I nod.
Tsu’tey crosses his arms over his chest, clearly pissed off. “Another thing the sky people have brought,” he snaps, a vein protruding on his sculpted face.
“We had nothing to do with,” I motion to where the beast once stood, “whatever that was!”
“Our animals do not attack us,” Tsu’tey hisses at me as he takes a step closer, “that animal did not even recognize us. It is not even a Pandorian animal.”
“You want to blame us for everything!” I scream and take a step towards him.
“Sky people are always to blame!” Tsu’tey screams back, his throat straining and his accent thick.
“Well, we didn't create that monster!”
“No, you are the monsters,” Tsu’tey breathes out viciously.
His words sting like I’ve been slapped. Rage pours through me. “Then why did you help us?”
Tsu’tey halts, his jaw loosens slightly. He opens his mouth then closes it again, like he too isn’t sure why he helped.
Neytiri places her hands in front of her. “Enough. This is a matter for the Ole’eyktan and Tsahik.”
Tsu’tey grunts before straightening himself. I look away, no longer wanting to see him, but his comment replays in my mind. You are the monsters.
~~~
“This beast is unlike anything we have seen before,” Eytukan, Neytiri’s father, the Ole’eyktan, yells from where he stands on the main stairs of Hometree. The entire clan has gathered around the base, everyone listening intently to their leader.
“We can gather a hunting party,” Tsu’tey says loudly, throwing his fist in the air, “and this beast will be dead by morning.”
The clan erupts into cheers and applause. Jake and I stand beside Neytiri who eyes her father worriedly. Jake studies the crowd and occasionally rubs his blistered hands. My heart pounds in my chest, I can’t shake the feeling that something is about to happen.
Eytukan lifts his hands and the clan falls silent. “We have war brewing with the sky people. We cannot send that many hunters away from Hometree.”
Whispers spread through the crowd as Tsu’tey tenses. “I will go alone then.” His voice is deep and full of pride.
Eytukan studies Tsu’tey, considering this proposal. Mo’at stands behind her husband with her eyes closed. My hands grow clammy. Neytiri balances from one toe to the other before stepping forward. “Father,” she begins, “Y/n is a good rider, a natural. Send her with Tsu’tey and she will prove herself.”
A few clan members gasp, including myself. What did Neytiri just say? Eytukan tilts his head to the side as Tsu’tey shakes his head. “No,” he says aggressively, “I do not need a dreamwalker slowing me down.”
Small laughter flickers the crowd as my shocked face turns into a grimace. Tsu’tey is such a self righteous little…
Eytukan doesn’t even bother to look at me. “I agree. The dreamwalker will not—”
“She must go.” Mo’at’s eyes fly open, her shoulders trembling and her beaded hair shining. “The dreamwalker will accompany Tsu’tey.”
Now the clan is frozen with silence so thick I could cut it. Time feels like it’s slowing down. This can’t be happening. Tsu’tey’s eyes widen but he tries to cover it. He says nothing as Eytukan turns to Mo’at. “Why do you say this, wife?”
Mo’at takes a step forward, her eyes boring into Tsu’tey. He swallows, the bulge falls down his throat. She makes a grunting sound before turning to me. Her gaze shoots through me like electricity. She tilts her head as her eyes trace my body. My heart might beat right out of my chest. Mo’at pauses before turning to the clan. “Eywa has spoken. Tsu’tey and Y/n will hunt the beast and return safely to us.”
For a moment, no one speaks or moves. Then, the entire clan explodes into cheers, battle cries, and applause. The sound sends shivers of excitement through me. They’re cheering for me. A small smile fights its way onto my lips as various clan members reach over and smack my arm encouragingly. Jake rubs my arm. He definitely doesn’t understand all that’s happening but he knows it’s about me.
“They leave at first light!” Eytukan hollers, causing the entire clan to erupt into cheers again. Neytiri nods at me in support. A small bit of pride sparks in me. If I can do this, maybe the clan will view me as one of them. I’m beginning to feel hopeful until I spot Tsu’tey.
His jaw is locked. His body is rigid and his lips are curled into a forced smile. Tsu'tey’s eyes drill into mine, darkening by the second. My breathing slows as I stare back. He looks at me a moment longer, his eyes flashing, before turning and walking through the crowd.
“You will work well together,” Mo’at breathes into my ear. I jump. I didn’t see her coming. She places her soft hands on my arms. Her kindness radiates into me. “Give yourself and him time. You will see,” she whispers and disappears into the crowd before I’ve even thought of a response.
I swallow and find Tsu’tey’s retreating back. His strong blue body glows beneath the firelight. Maybe Mo’at is right… Or maybe Tsu’tey and I won’t last a single day.
Thanks for reading! I'm sorry this took awhile to write. I still don't like this chapter but the next part is when things will start to get ~juicy~

Future warrior of the Metkayina clan and Tsireya’s best friend, [Name], has had her eye on Lo’ak since the Sully family arrived to the Metkayina clan. It wasn’t something [Name] could explain. From the moment she walked out of the water with her best friend, she felt what she could only describe as a pull to him. As if an invisible vine tied them together.
This sudden infatuation was short lived as she learned that [Name] and Tsireya would have to teach the new comers the ways of the Metkayina clan. Although the pull never went away.
Teaching the Sully kids started off simple, teach them to swim. All that sounded simple, and it was as they watched them jump in, enjoying the water around them. It only seem to become a problem when they tried to follow the Metkayina kids, and they quickly found that these forest Na’vi could not hold their breath as long as they could. While Tsireya was swimming to the surface to ask what is wrong, [Name] signed to her friends asking why they had to teach them and not just Tsireya. To which they all but laughed and shrugged their shoulders, making their way back to the surface.
At the surface, she found Lo’ak make eye contact with her immediately. Stuck in a state of irrational panic, [Name] angrily told the Sully family that they must learn to hold their breath for longer if they want to survive in the Metkayina clan, before diving back down in the water.
Confused and slightly shocked, like the rest of the Sully kids, Lo’ak started:
“What was that all about?” His question was directed towards Tsireya but he would welcome anybody’s answer.
“I’m not really sure, I have never seen her act like this. Yes she has been cold, but never this cold, and never when she is not hunting.” Tsireya tried to explain, confused and concerned herself.
.ೃ࿐
All sitting in a circle, the Metkayina kids as well as the Sully kids were practicing breathing. Tsireya, having convinced [Name] to join them, was quite happy to lead the breathing.
“You have to breathe from the stomach.” Tsireya explained, closing her eyes and breathing in slowly.
“And stay calm while you hold it. Your body will use more air if you don’t stay calm.” [Name] continued, trying to stay calm herself while she slowly exhaled with the rest of the group, her heart beating rapidly.
Tsireya smiled at [Name]’s participation, to which [Name] smiles back softly, before closing her eyes once again to breathe in deeply.
[Name] could hear struggled breathing from beside her, as she opened her eyes she found Lo’ak breathing at a different pace the rest.
“No, breathe in from here.” [Name] held her hand over his stomach, watching as he attempted to breathe like her instruction.
As he continued to struggle, [Name] turned to face him, holding his shoulder as well. Watching him closely, she felt his heart beat pace only rise.
“You have to slow your heart down, it is beating too fast.” [Name] instructed, hoping to take her own advice and slow her racing heart.
Hearing chuckles from the group, and watching the look Neteyam gave Aonung, he let out a soft huff.
“Sorry.” Lo’ak spoke quickly, trying hard to avoid [Name]’s eyes.
“Breathe from you stomach, here.” [Name] watching him, as Lo’ak looks away again, she rolls her eyes.
As Lo’ak tries again, he breathes in deeply holding it for a moment before letting it out slowly. As he opens his eyes, he finds [Name] smiling at him with pride in her eyes.
“See? You’re getting it! Now just keep doing that.” [Name] beamed brightly, and all Lo’ak could do was look in to her eyes and smile back.
.ೃ࿐
As [Name] sat on rocks, watching Neteyam, Tuk, Kiri, and Tsireya play in the water, Lo’ak approaches her carefully.
“[Name]?” Lo’ak called hesitantly.
[Name] looked behind her, seeing Lo’ak, and sighing softly before smiling again. She could still feel that pull from when they first met but she no longer feels the weird panic and anger that she felt before. These feelings were so new to her, too new to understand. Her nervous energy and random anger was much unlike her. Although she was not all sunshine and smiles like her best friend was, she also wasn’t a sea of ice.
“Hey, Lo’ak. Do you need something?” She asked much kinder than Lo’ak was expecting.
Her voice kind and soft, much like Tsireya. She must have quite the influence, and [Name] would agree.
“Actually, I do. I was wondering if you could continue helping me with my breathing?” Lo’ak asking timidly, hoping for that same kindness.
[Name] smiled, “Of course, I can help you. Sit here.” [Name] pointed next to her, watching as Lo’ak sat down.
And as the afternoon went by, that is exactly what [Name] did. Sit on the rocks and teach Lo’ak to breathe so he may survive in the Metkayina clan. It started out the same as the last time she tried to teach him, but Lo’ak quickly picked up slow breathing technique by slow breathing technique. [Name] was happy how much he was learning from her and Lo’ak was just happy to feel her hands on him. [Name]’s hand on his stomach felt electrifying, as if with her hands on him, he could do anything.
.ೃ࿐
As Lo’ak was walking towards where he knew he would find Tuk, he heard splashes from the water not far from him. When he looked over to find the origin of the splashing, he found his brother running up to [Name]. As he got to her, Lo’ak could see their mouths moving signalling their conversing. As much as Lo’ak wish he could hear what they were saying, he couldn’t hear from where he stood. He could feeling his heart start to speed up and all of his muscles started to tighten, resulting in the curling of his fist.
It’s probably nothing.
He tried to tell himself, but his mind would not let go of what he sees before him.
Neteyam? Nah, nothing will happen.
He told himself again, starting to walk in the direction he was before, coincidentally the same direction that would lead him past where [Name] and Neteyam were talking. He was just about to mentally brush off his angry when he heard [Name] laugh loudly at something Neteyam said. That’s when he decide he had had enough. Curling his fists once again, he ran all the way to where he was going. Mentally cursing Neteyam for doing this to him.
.ೃ࿐
Lo’ak was in his head for the next few days. Even when hanging out with his family he was thinking how he had already lost [Name] to Neteyam. How he takes everything from Lo’ak. Neteyam was the golden child while he was just the runt. Never really enough.
The only thing that could really get him out of his head was [Name].
Spending time with her felt like a dream to Lo’ak. She helped him practice his breathing, showed him the waters and helped him as he learned to ride his own Ilu. Which he had a few issues with.
Lo’ak tried to spend 100% of his time with [Name], which at times proved to be difficult. Every moment with [Name] was like a breath of fresh air, which he knows much of after the many attempts at diving in the water to catch a shell.
So when they were sitting on the beach together, watching the waves, Lo’ak was more than upset when Neteyam asked to join them. He rolled his eyes at his ask and huffed as [Name] politely agreed. After a beat, Lo’ak groaned and stood up, stomping off in a huff.
“What was that about?” [Name] asked, confused and a bit upset.
“I’m not sure, I was just about to tell him that our parents are upset with him. But he has been kind of moody lately. Have you noticed?”
“Not really, but I guess looking back he has been a little?” [Name] replied thoughtfully, thinking back at all of the time Neteyam was there and Lo’ak was upset.
“Now that I think about it, he has been a little upset, but it is only when you are around.” [Name] continued.
“I wondered if that might be it. Well, thank you for clearing that up. I am going to save his ass from my parents and then ask him what is up. Later.” Neteyam waved at [Name] before walking off.
[Name] was left there to think of what was upsetting Lo’ak and why he stomped off so fast.
.ೃ࿐
“You have been acting weird. What is going on?” Neteyam asked incredulously as Lo’ak scuffed at his question.
“No weirder than usual.” Lo’ak muttered, reflecting on how he has felt as an outcast and apart from his brother.
“What?” Neteyam asked, hoping he would repeat what he thought Lo’ak had said.
“What do you want from me Neteyam? Being the golden boy not enough for you anymore? Here to pick on me some more?”
“What are you talking about? I am trying to ask what is going on with you. Why are so-”
“How does it feel getting everything? Why do you take everything from me?” Lo’ak questions angrily, cutting Neteyam off.
“What is wrong with you!?” Neteyam quickly follows.
“No! What is wrong with you! You take all of the attention and have alway been the golden boy but now you have taken [Name] too?! You take everything important to me?” Lo’ak practically screams, having to take a breath after.
Lo’ak catches his breath only to find his brother laughing hysterically, the shock from Lo’ak’s outburst having apparently worn off. Lo’ak’s eyebrow’s furrowed, if they could even furrow any more, his face beating red.
“What!?” Lo’ak yelled. Only to be met with more of Neteyam’s hysterical laughter as he fell to the ground rolling around.
“What!? What!? What are you laughing at!? Just tell me what you are laughing at!!!” Lo’ak demanded, fuming.
“It’s just- It’s just-” Neteyam tried, struggling to speak between his laughter. “It’s just that you think I am trying to get with- with-” Neteyam continued before roaring in laughter once again.
“Would you just spit it out already!” Lo’ak demanded once again.
“You think I am trying to get with [Name] because you’re jealous!” Neteyam laughed again, finding this whole situation beyond humorous.
“You mean you’re not trying to get with her?” Lo’ak asked utterly confused but his face burning for a new reason.
“Of course not! Never mind the fact I’m not interested, she has been eyeing you since we got here!” Neteyam grinned so wide his cheeks hurt.
“She has not!” Lo’ak was quick to ‘correct’.
“She totally has! Are you kidding me? And why do you think she takes so much time to teach you everything?”
“Because I am a slow learner?” Lo’ak asked, becoming more and more confused by the second.
“Because she like you and likes spending time with your dumbass!”
“Oh.” Lo’ak spoke looking down, thinking of all of the time they had spent together.
“Yeah ‘Oh’. Now get your ass over to her and tell her how you feel!” Neteyam pushed him in the direction of [Name]’s family’s marui.
After a short walk, Lo’ak found himself on the beach [Name] and him were last sitting at, where [Name] was still sitting. Lo’ak would have thought she would have left by now but there she was, hands supporting her as she gazed at the sky. Lo’ak took a deep breath, remembering all of the things that she had taught him, before making his way over to her.
“Mind if I join you?” Lo’ak asked, trying not to alarm [Name]. This reminded him of the first time they spent time together, alone, and the many times that came after that. He smiled to himself.
“Lo’ak, you’re back! Of course you can join me.” [Name] beamed, standing up to met him.
Lo’ak loved that smile. And he especially loved causing that smile.
“I’m sorry I stomped off, that was childish of me.” Lo’ak looked at the ground.
“Neteyam mentioned that you have been upset, why is that?” [Name] asked gently, as if he would stomp off again.
“I was mad at him for taking everything from me,” Lo’ak started. “He is the golden boy of our family that can do no wrong.” Lo’ak mocked and [Name] giggled softly.
“I just wish that my parents understood that…” Lo’ak looked down again.
[Name] took a step towards him, bringing her hand to his shoulder. To which, Lo’ak looked up and into [Name]’s eyes. As they stood not even a foot apart, [Name] brought her other hand to his cheek and gazed into his eyes. Lo’ak felt like she was looking into her soul, and as her looked into her eyes he found himself doing the same.
“I see you.” [Name] whispered so soft, Lo’ak wouldn’t have heard if he wasn’t so close.
Lo’ak watched [Name]’s face with pure joy, a wide smiled creeping up on his lips.
“I see you.”

Being a mom to the Sully kids + Spider <3
heavily inspired by @star-girl69 (love your work btw) 🙏🤍 also you are mated with jake & neytiri in this because i said so ✌️😌 (fem!na'vi!reader)
sa'nok = mother & 'itan = son
Neteyam
Tumblr media
definitely the least clingiest out of all them
but needs a lot of words of affirmation
i feel like jake puts a lot of pressure on him to always be "the big brother", to look after his siblings that sometimes he just needs to be reminded that he is still a kid too
"sa'nok, can i talk to you about something?"
him venting to you and you just looking at him with pride in your eyes
scolding jake for being to hard on him
"Ma Jake he's still a child!"
he would always appreciated you for that and always felt that he could talk to you about anything that was bothering him
always telling him to smile more even tho he has human teeth
calling him when he was a baby "mini tiri" because he is literally a copy & paste version of her <3
Kiri
Tumblr media
she's definitely the hardest one to comfort
because of the whole grace thing and not knowing who her father is
A LOT OF LATE NIGHT TALKS
just you two walking around and talking about her connection with eywa
you being fiercely overprotective of her
she often feels odd; like she doesn't belong
but you are always there to remind her who she is and what she is worth
watching grace's videos together >>>
"sa'nok, do you think she would have liked me?"
"she would have loved you babygirl." <3
Lo'ak
Tumblr media
you are definitely he's favorite parent
he is such a mamma's boy 🤍
when he was a baby you just loved spoiling him rotten
in your eyes he does no wrong and he will always be your baby
"i'm just a freak, they'll never see me as their equal, they'll never accept me."
"i see you ma 'itan." <3
i feel like you would often offer to cook him his favorite food to comfort him
when he first bonded with payakan you were the first person he told
always reminding him how proud you are of him and that he is enough
Tuktirey
Tumblr media
the most clingiest out of all them
she always wants to be around you, play with you or just straight up cuddle with you
braiding her hair is your job at this point
she's always dragging you somewhere in the forest to explore with her
while you are doing something she will ask you to play with her at least a 100 times
"sa'nok come play with me pleaseeeeeee!"
you, her & neytiri are inseparable
when she gets homesick you try to cheer her up by taking care of her ilu together
Spider
Tumblr media
at first you are kinda weirded out
how is he supposed be around neteyam's age and so little?
you don't really develop a relationship with him until he starts to get a bit older
same as neytiri, it was hard for you to accept him but you managed to with time
you actually start seeing him as your own
braiding his hair (i feel like he's hair would be really important to him because it's one of the only things that makes him feel connected to the na'vi people)
teaching him how to hunt; how to use a bow & arrow
always warning the other kids to be gentle with him because he's human and his body is more easily fractured then theirs

You had understood Lo’ak when no one could.
Over the years growing up together, Lo’ak had created a soft spot for you in his heart, soon blooming into a romantic feeling that Lo’ak couldn’t shake, no matter how hard he tried.
At first, he just thought you were a good friend, a shoulder to lean on, but the more he stares at you whenever he finds himself ranting about his father again, he saw how your eyes held this certain look in them, how your ears perk every time he speaks a little louder because of his frustration.
Then he felt how long your touch lingered on him when you give him a comforting hug. It didn’t mean much to him at first, just an act of comfort, but when he soon realized his feelings for you, he almost wanted you to not pull away. He wanted to cling to you, he wanted to rest himself on you.
You were that person who could make his problems melt away just by the sound of your voice, and your gentle touches. He found it even easier to rest with you rather than being with his family, he liked to admit, but would never say it out loud.
Whilst Lo’ak delt with his feelings for you, you had also began to grow longing for him. Whenever he was out on a mission or just a hunt, you would find yourself worrying when he’ll be coming back, or even if he was going to comeback due to his share of recklessness.
You find yourself waiting, and when they do comeback, the first thing you wanted to see was him. Often, he’d come back perfectly fine, physically. Emotionally and mentally? Not so much as you could also feel the anger radiating off his father when he had disobeyed another rule of his.
You often get to witness how Lo’ak just looked down at his feet while he was getting reprimanded by his dad. Then when he dismisses them, you hurry off towards him.
This had been a routine for both of you, Neytiri almost thought that his son was dating you, surprising her by saying the two of you were just close friends, even if Neytiri could see how much untroubled Lo’ak was with you and how she could tell her son loved you just by her motherly instinct.
Then there was the time that came when Lo’ak finally had acted upon his feelings for you. It certainly took him a while, but every effort he made was worth it. It started by whenever he’s going to see you, he made sure to bring a little flower or two, surprising you. At first, he played it off, saying it was a sign of thanks. ‘For always listening to me complain and stuff’
Then soon it evolved into anklets made with little trinkets he found on the way to see you. You were beginning to get nervous when Lo’ak had started giving you these gifts, what could it possibly mean? And you, you were falling hard.
Lo’ak then had asked you to meet him after eclipse in your usual spot. You agreed, thinking Lo’ak just maybe needed a change of scenario.
Oh boy how you were wrong.
Lo’ak was almost jumpy from his nervousness as he was finally going to confess to you. He was already happy hen you agreed to meet him by eclipse, but that also meant his plan was a go.
“Lo’ak?” You softly called out. Then you heard a faint rustling before his voice replied. “Here.”
Upon hearing his voice, you’ve gotten the courage to stepf forth towards him. Looking around, your spot was much more beautiful at night as glowing vines hanged from trees, the ground glowed a soft green and purple, the leaves were being picked up by the breeze, sending glowing particles everywhere.
Then you spotted a kenten, your eyes widening with glee as you approached it, your hand reached out as you give it a small tap. It squeaked before unfurling its wings, glowing brightly and spinning away as you let out a loud laugh.
Then thanks to the glow of the kenten, it highlighted Lo’ak, who was watching you with a smile on his face.
You blush. “Hi.”
“Hey.” He responded, before beckoning you to come sit with him in the grass. “C’mere.”
Following, you sat across from him.
The silence had settled after a few minutes, the sound of nature was the only thing that can be heard, along with your occasional breathing.
Lo’ak then gulps, finally looking at you in the eyes and swallowing every bit of pride that he had as he softly grabbed your hand and held them against his bigger ones.
“The- the reason I asked you to see me here is because... I’ve like... No- shit... Okay, its because I love you (Y/N). Even if I tried, I can’t stop thinking of you. I always find myself picking up things to give to you, even if its just a little flower, and... Even if I know you deserve more than just that.”
Lo’ak could feel himself tense with the words he was saying, but he didn’t stop. “I don’t know what you did to me (Y/N),” He chuckles before heaving a deep breath “I just know I love you, not in that friend way... I love you as in I want to be with you, I want to provide for you, I want to be by your side, always. I’m actually getting ahead of myself- but I needed to say this to you. It is fine if you don’t feel the same way, I know I took too much time in saying this and I’m sounding very stupid right now because you are just staring... And-“
With a playful smack to his head, sending Lo’ak looking at you dumbfounded, stopping his declaration of love for you.
You laugh at his reaction before smiling widely as your heart pounded from hearing his words.
“You skxawng. It took you long enough.”
That’s when the long-awaited relationship finally bloomed between the two of you. Lo’ak couldn’t be any happier, well, the teasing of his family often makes him wanna smack his head on the tree but nonetheless, he was happy as his family accepted you, and your family couldn’t be any happier.
But every relationship has its ups and downs.
After a few years, the RDA was back and it has been rumoured that they were targeting Jake Sully again.
That’s when Lo’ak had faced the consequences of his actions when he went to the abandoned shack with his siblings. He found himself stood in front of you with the aftermath, with it being that they had to leave to get far away from the people, to protect them.
Tears clouded your vision, shaking your head no as Lo’ak pulled you in a hug as your tears rolled down your cheeks, placing your balled fists on his chest.
“No, I won’t have this, Lo’ak. I won’t. I don’t want to be far away from you.” You sobbed through, voice cracking in the process as Lo’ak frowned, holding you.
“We can’t. I can’t do anything about it, (Y/N). We leave tomorrow, dad had already talked to grandma about the next olo’eyktan.”
You sob harder, clinging onto him as his arms gave you a tight squeeze. Lo’ak didn’t want to leave you, but with his encounter with the avatars, it made him think that what if you were the one held captive?
But the way you were holding him it seemed like you had no plans of letting go.
He rubs your back as your cries slowly turned to sniffles.
“Lo’ak?” You ask, voice still shaky.
“Hm? What is it, baby?” Lo’ak’s voice answered.
“I’m going with you.”
Your parents were initially against the idea of you joining the Sully family, but they had soon agreed once Jake and Neytiri had promised that they would protect you and treat you as their own.
It was hard saying goodbye to your parents, but you had no choice, you didn’t want to be separated from him, not when you were miles away with no point of contact.
Lo’ak had then also secretly promised to your parents that he’d protect you, even if it had cost his life.
Then you had left Omaticaya.
During the long journey, you and Lo’ak stayed flying side by side on your ikrans, talking to each other to ease the tiredness.
Reaching the Metkayina clan, you were instantly curious as they had a huge contrast from your home, considering they were reef dwellers.
They had been surrounded by ocean; their skins were teal-green. They had bright blue eyes and tattoos that littered their body. Though you didn’t like the boys who made fun of your tails, sending them a glare your way when they had pointed out Lo’ak’s tail, and his four fingers.
Once the family had settled in, you were quickly advised by Jake to learn fast and to not be a burden. But the first few days were hard considering Ao’nung, the chief’s son, was being a total douche. He was always making fun of either one of you for not being able to learn fast.
Tsireya, now the chief’s daughter and sister of Ao’nung, was much more kinder, advising that every little progress is still progress. You’ve quickly found yourself befriending her due to your lessons together and Tsireya was more than happy to find a new friend.
Lo’ak however, was still finding difficulty with trying to follow due to Ao’nung and his gang’s teasing remarks. But he tried not to let his anger get the best of him. That seems to work considering you were always right there beside him when you were done with your lessons. That provided him with the comfort that you were still here, with him in every step of the way.
But at the end of every day, you find yourself and Lo’ak on the shore, talking to each other like you did back in the forest of Pandora.
“You did well today.” You smile, leaning against Lo’ak’s shoulder.
“Yeah? When I almost drowned?” Lo’ak joked making you laugh. “Maybe.” You teased and Lo’ak smiled, but then it was followed by a sigh. You glanced up at him “What’s wrong?”
Lo’ak looks at you before glancing back at the ocean “What if we don’t get used to this? What if I don’t get used to this? The people earlier… I saw them looking at me, at my hands… I hear them saying I’m not a true Na’vi, that I’m demon blood.”
“Hey, Lo’ak, no. You’re not what they say you are. You are Na’vi and Eywa has known it since the start. You,” You said, holding up his hand and grasping his pinky with your three fingers. “You are not a demon, you’re not demon blood. Your dad, he was, and I repeat, was once part of the Sky People, right? But look at him now, just doing what he can to protect his family, I don’t see any trace of demon blood in there. All I see is a good person doing what he thinks is right. Like you, Lo’ak. You are a good person, don’t let them make you question yourself.”
With a deep breath, you looked at him. “I see you.”
By the time you finished, you gave a light squeeze to his hand, finally intertwining it with yours as you showed him. Lo’ak’s eyes had tears threatening to spill out from them as he pursed his lips together, fighting down the lump in his throat. “Remember that Lo’ak, okay?” You say, facing the back of his hand towards your face as you give it a light kiss, looking at him. “I love you either way.”
“(Y/N).” He finally spoke, voice cracking. “Thank you. I love you. I see you.” He lets go of your hand to pull you in a side hug, wrapping his arms around your shoulder while your hand made its way around his waist. Your head perfectly rested against his shoulder as he gives you a kiss on the forehead.
You both had ended watching the eclipse in silence, holding onto each other for strength.
A few weeks had passed, and things was just starting to get good when you’ve heard that Lo’ak and Neteyam had picked a fight with Ao’nung and his gang.
Lo’ak had then explained that Ao’nung was picking on Kiri, calling her a freak. It made you frown while the sibling being spoken of was nowhere to be seen. You had been inspecting Lo’ak’s bruises since he came in the Marui with Neteyam, and Lo’ak was holding his arm.
You watched as Neteyam tried to take the blame again when Jake refused. You were about to wipe the blood from his nose when Lo’ak gently pushed you away, looking at you with a shake of his head. You then backed away, understanding.
“Go, apologize to Ao’nung.” Jake stared at his son. “What?” Lo’ak said, surprised.
“He’s the chief’s son, do you understand? I don’t care how you do it, just go. Make peace. And (Y/N), can you see where Kiri is?” Jake said to Lo’ak then to you.
You and Lo’ak stared at each other. You give him a soft glance as he sighed, nodding and walking out of the marui, then you followed outside to find where Kiri was.
Your worry began to grow when Lo’ak had not yet returned when it was almost eclipse. You finally had the nerve to go around and ask for his whereabouts, the first person you asked was Neteyam.
Walking out of your marui and onto the communal area, where you had stumbled upon a frantic-looking Neteyam. “Neteyam!” You shout over to him, and he spots you, jogging until he stopped in front of you.
“Have you seen Lo’ak?” He asked you first. Your brows furrowed, shaking your head. “I was about to ask you the same thing!”
Neteyam sighs in frustration, placing his hand on his head. “Where could that boy be.”
“I’m getting worried, Neteyam, he hasn’t returned yet.” You spoke.
Then as if on cue Ao’nung’s gang had passed, laughing their ass of as you were able to pick up on what they were saying, and it seemed like Neteyam did as well.
“I wish we stuck on more to see the look on his face!”
“Why didn’t you lead him even deeper down in the reefs, I heard there’s more scary creatures there.”
“Forest boy doesn’t even know what’s coming to him.”
Neteyam had acted first before you. He was already on Ao’nung, shoving his chest with anger evident in his features. “Where is my brother?”
Ao’nung looks at Neteyam, before he spots you taking the spot behind Neteyam, anger also evident on your face. Ao’nung smirks, shrugging. “I don’t know, maybe he’s past the reef, said he liked to go hunting with us. I guess he stayed back.” He said in a taunting voice.
Your eyes widened and you were about to make a move to fight the boy when Neteyam already did it for you, he shoves Ao’nung around, his hand immediately grabbing onto his hair, tightening his grip on it as Ao’nung grunted in pain, sudden fear overcoming him as he was held by his queue.
You hissed at Ao’nung as Neteyam held him in place. His friends were shocked before they scurried off after meeting your hiss towards them, not being the one next to be held by their queue.
Ao’nung has his hands up in surrender. Neteyam looks at you and he jerks his head towards the direction of your marui. “Let’s go.”
After a search party had been set out for Lo’ak, you and Neteyam waited in the communal area, your legs were bouncing in anxiety as torches had been lit around to make light in the dark.
Neteyam could sense your worry, he was too, but he offers you a hand on his shoulder, rubbing your back. The two of you had waited, every passing second felt like torture.
Then someone had sounded the horn.
“The boy has been found!”
Wasting no time, you stand upright with Neteyam following you as you hopped down onto the docks. The heavy weight on your chest disappearing once you see Lo’ak climbed on top.
You were about to approach him when he had that look of anger in his eyes directed at Ao’nung, he was about to launch at him when Jake had prevented him.
“He’s fine, he’s fine. It’s just a few scratches.” Jake said, making you sigh in relief as you moved forward, getting a clear view of him as Neytiri jumped down.
“I pray for the strength that I will not pluck the eyeballs out of my youngest son.” She snarled at Lo’ak, making Lo’ak shake his head, ignoring his mother.
“No, my son knows better than to take him outside the reef.” Tonowari, the olo’eyktan of the Metkayina spoke. “The blame is his.” He said, pushing his son, Ao’nung down on one knee.
You and Neteyam watch the whole scene play out.
“No, this is not Ao’nung’s fault. It was my idea.” Lo’ak then suddenly said, catching the two of you by surprise. “Ao’nung tried to talk me out of it. Really.”
After that whole ordeal was finished, you had decided to take Lo’ak to treat his wounds.
The following days had been a whirlwind of al sorts of things, good and bad. Ao’nung had finally made amends with the Sully family. You were still wary of him, but as time had passed, you also grew to like him as a friend. Now, all of you were spending the afternoon together, circled around as Lo’ak told the story of him coming across a tulkun.
“I wish I had been there. The ocean blessed you with a gift, brother.” Kiri said, smiling at Lo’ak while you sat beside him, listening.
“The tulkun have not returned yet, and- anyway, no tulkun is ever alone.” Ao’nung said, gesturing.
“Well, this one was,” Lo’ak started. “He had uh- um a missing fin. Like a stump on the left side.”
“Poor Tulkun.” You could hear Tuk say before Tsireya spoke. “Payakan. It’s Payakan.”
You tilted your head, looking at Tsireya. “Who’s Payakan?” You asked her.
Rotxo was the one to answer. “A young tulkun who went rogue. He is outcast, alone, and he has a missing fin.”
“They say he is a killer.” Tsireya told all of you.
“No.” Lo’ak muttered. “He killed Na’vi and other tulkun.” Ao’nung said, looking at Lo’ak. “Not here, but far to the south.
“No, he’s no killer.” Lo’ak looked down. “Lo’ak you are lucky to be alive.” Tsireya said.
“I’m telling you guys; he saved my life!” Lo’ak turned to you, hoping you’ll believe him as he held your hand. “He’s my friend.”
“My baby bro.” Neteyam piped up, standing behind him to place his hands on his younger brother’s shoulders. “The mighty warrior, who faced the killer tulkun, and lived to tell about it.”
Lo’ak grunted in frustration, standing up, letting go of your hand. “You guys aren’t listening.” He said, he spares one last glance at you before he was walking away.
“Lo’ak!” You called out to him, but he was already gone.
The next few days, Lo’ak had been spending more time with Payakan rather than with you, or his family. It made you miss him, of course. But there was nothing you could do as you knew Lo’ak could be quite stubborn himself. So you had busied yourself with the others, including Tsireya.
You had just reached the surface, holding onto your ilu as Tsireya smiles back at everyone. “We are here.”
You moved forward to see the absolute breath-taking view you’ve ever seen. You feel a smile creep up to your face as you breathed out “Wow.”
“This is the cove of the ancestors.” Tsireya spoke, out from the corner of your eye you could see Rotxo smiling at your reactions. “Our most sacred place.”
“Eclipse is the best time of day to be here.” Tsireya explained as you hid your face using your hand from the blinding light. Tsireya urged you all to move forward, before stopping as she extended her hand out. “This is it; this is The Spirit Tree.”
Hopping off your ilu and diving down, you were met with The Spirit Tree. Your eyes widen as you inspect it. You were beside Neteyam and Tuk while Rotxo signalled for you to attach your queue towards it. You three looked at each other, before you were grabbing onto your queue, softly placing it against the tendril.
Your mouth formed a small ‘o’ as you were overcame with the voices of their ancestors. You smiled along with Neteyam and Tuk. It truly was a beautiful thing to hear and see.
But all of that would end as the Spirit Tree begins flashing, making you look around to find Kiri’s body spasming underwater. Taking off your tsaheylu, you nudged Neteyam and pointed at her.
All of you swam towards her, both you and Neteyam grabbing a hold of either arm of hers as you swam her back up to the surface.
Neteyam lifts Kiri’s faint body on the ilu while you surround them. “Kiri!” You tried shaking her, but it was no use. “What’s wrong? What is it?!” Tuk asks, alarmed. “It was a seizure.” Neteyam answered, providing her CPR.
“Is she breathing?” Rotxo asked as you had the idea of gathering the ilu already. Once you hear Kiri’s gasp of breath, Tsireya spoke up. “Get her back to the village!”
Kiri was still unconscious and that led Jake to call on Norm and max to check upon her. It seems like Neytiri also had the same idea as she brings Ronal, the tsahik of the Metkayina towards their Marui.
You, Neteyam, and Lo’ak were stood outside, giving them room. But you couldn’t help but question Lo’ak.
“Where were you?” You asked Lo’ak as he stared at the ground. Neteyam could sense an argument coming just from the tone of your voice, he knew better than to interfere, letting you talk to his own brother as he excused himself to go inside the marui to check upon Kiri.
Lo’ak doesn’t answer. “Lo’ak.” You spoke. “Were you out looking for Payakan again?” You questioned. “I was, so what?” Lo’ak finally snapped, looking at you and standing straight, making you look up at him.
That didn’t deter you. “Lo’ak, you’re no longer spending time with us, you’re always out there!” You say, pointing towards the ocean. “You forget you have a family back here; you forget that you have me here.” You said, frowning at him. “Something worse could’ve happened to Kiri and what- you’re out there bonding with an outcast!”
You didn’t mean the words you said, and you rarely ever argued with Lo’ak. You tried to understand him, but he needed to understand you too. Lo’ak sneers at you, shaking his head “I thought you’d understand.” He said before walking off. “Lo’ak, Lo’ak!” You called out to him.
The tensions grew after a few days of not speaking to him, but Lo’ak seemed to get things together as he finally ended up apologizing to you one day as you were wrapping food. You forgave him, saying that he needed to understand where you were coming from. He realized it.
Your relationship with Lo’ak, even if it did sometimes cause arguments, it always ended up with you opening up to each other about what he or you did, or what he and you didn’t like. You were happy you got it sorted out, you didn’t want to be another thing that Lo’ak stressed about. You wanted to be there for him.
But one day, it surprised you when the horn sounded, and you could hear Tsireya’s voice. You, Lo’ak, Neteyam, and Tuk raced out the marui, wondering what was going on.
“The tulkuns have returned! Everybody! Our brothers and sisters have returned!” Tsireya waves. Then all of you stood mesmerised as groups of tulkun had entered. Your smile widened as the people raced to jump out in the water with cheers.
You gasp, looking at Lo’ak before grabbing his hand, tugging him towards the ocean. “Let’s go!”
You ended up riding on Lo’ak’s ilu behind him, an arm wrapped around him as you pointed at the many tulkun underwater. Lo’ak followed your gaze as he drove his ilu. His hand carefully placed on your thigh so you don’t fall off. He occasionally taps it to make you look where he was looking at.
You smile, seeing the Metkayina greet their brothers and sisters, making you appreciate the beauty of it all as you lay your head on Lo’ak’s shoulder. You even spot his siblings holding onto the fins of the tulkun as they swam around.
But alas, all good things must come to an end.
One day, Tsireya and the others, including you, had decided to follow Lo’ak on one of his trips to Payakan.
You swam closer until Tsireya stops you, holding onto a stem to steady yourself.
There he was, the love of your life, Lo’ak, in front of who you deemed was Payakan as you got a good glance of his stump on his fin. You watched as the tulkun, or Payakan, open his mouth widely, making you furrow your eyebrows and look at Lo’ak.
You saw him contemplating, making you question if he was really going to go in there.
He did. You watched him as he swam inside Payakan’s mouth.
The next seconds made your heart spike. Payakan closed its mouth, completely swallowing Lo’ak whole. You and Neteyam were just about to go over him when Ao’nung held you back, as with Tsireya and Neteyam. You looked at Ao’nung and he signed ‘Wait’.
You look at him, shaking your head, wanting to go but his firm hold doesn’t make you budge. You look over at Neteyam, making him shrug. You could tell he also wanted to go to his brother.
But when Lo’ak comes out from Payakan, still in one piece, it made you relieved. But then that led to Lo’ak seeing all of you.
Unfortunately, that also led to unfortunate events as the other Metkayina hunters had spotted you outside the reef. Then it led to a lecturing by Tonowari and Ronal, furthermore, having Jake hover over Lo’ak and his actions.
But that wasn’t all, you had received the news that Ronal’s spirit sister, had been hunted and left floating in the ocean. This had angered the Metkayina, now pushing them to engage in Jake’s war.
“My spirit sister, and her baby have been murdered by Sky People!” Ronal shouted.
“This war has come to us. We knew about this hunting of our tulkun people, but it was over the horizon far away!” Tonowari said. “Now it is here!”
You frowned then felt a hand on your shoulder. Looking to the side it was Lo’ak. You hugged his side as Jake’s voice intervened. “You gotta understand how the Sky People think! They don’t care about the great balance.”
That only let the Metkayina exclaim out in anger as Neteyam spoke. “Listen, listen to him!”
“The Sky people are not gonna stop. This is only the beginning. You gotta tell your tulkun to leave, you gotta tell them to go far away!” Jake explained.
“Leave?” Ronal spat back at him. “You live among us, and you learned nothing!” Her voice breaking sends you to grip a little tighter against Lo’ak.
“We will fight to protect our brothers and sisters!” A Metkayina warrior announced, earning the praise of people as they agreed. Jake shakes his head, “If you attack, if you fight, then they will destroy you! They will destroy everything that you love!” Jake shouted. You breathed out, looking back at Lo’ak to find him looking at his father.
The people wouldn’t listen as Jake began to get frustrated. He looks for something and plucks it out of Neteyam’s grip and he presents it to the people. You tilt your head, seeing a needle-like object covered in red. You stared at it. Then silence came.
“You tell the tulkun, if they are hit by one of these they’re marked for death… call for me. I’ll silence it… saving their lives, that’s all that matters, right? Saving your family.” Jake finished.
Tonowari and Ronal looked at each other before the decision has been made. “Tell the tulkun. Go.”
Everyone had scurried away, and you could feel Lo’ak slipping from your grip as he turns around. “Lo’ak!” You called out, that gathered the attention of Tsireya, Kiri, Tuk, Rotxo, Ao’nung, and Neteyam as they followed you.
“Lo’ak, what are you doing?” You asked him as he placed the saddle on his ilu. “I have to warn Payakan.”
“No, Lo’ak, you’ve got to stay here.” You said sternly at him. Lo’ak shakes his head. “He is outcast. There is nobody to warn him but me!” Lo’ak defended.
Then came the footsteps of the others, Neteyam stepping right beside you as the others watched.
“Bro, why do you always have to make things so hard?” Neteyam said. Lo’ak then glared at his brother, sneering.
“No, you mean why can’t I be the perfect son like you?! The perfect little soldier- well I’m not you!” Lo’ak shouted at him.
“Lo’ak!” You scolded, looking between him and Neteyam. Neteyam exhales, frowning at his brother.
“I’m not you! Okay? He’s my brother. I’m going!” Lo’ak said.
“No, I’m your brother.” Neteyam said, gripping Lo’ak’s arm. “Get off me!” Lo’ak said jerking his arm away from Neteyam’s grip to jump on his ilu. You gasp, “Lo’ak!”
“Go, go, let’s go, he’s going to Payakan!” Neteyam pats you on the shoulder as the others nodded. You called for your ilu before jumping and making tsaheylu.
“Come back, Lo’ak!” You begged. Lo’ak doesn’t look back as he dives in the water, speeding up. The rest of you followed as you tried to fight the heavy feeling in your heart.
Reaching Payakan, you had seen Lo’ak pulling out the same tracker that Jake held earlier. Your eyes widened as you tried helping Lo’ak pull it off. “Hurry, the ships are coming! They’re over there!”
You tried to pull but it wasn’t budging. “Call dad, go! Just go, do it!” Neteyam shouted at Lo’ak. Lo’ak follows, trying to contact his father as the four of you tried to pull the tracker out of Payakan.
“It’s getting closer!” Tsireya exclaimed as you tried pulling harder, grunting. “I know!” You said, quickly diving down underwater to grab a vine, tugging it and swimming to the surface, you hand it over to them.
“Here! Ao’nung, Neteyam!” You shout. They quickly got the idea as you tied the other end of the vine to your ilu. “Go, go, go!” Ao’nung said as you mounted your ilu, commanding it to pull as hard as it can as you scream.
“Pull! Harder!” Tsireya shouted as you tried. Then it finally gives up as it was finally removed.
You tug the vine, reaching the tracker as you held it in your hands. “Go! Go with them, I’ll hold them off!” You shout. Lo’ak looks at you with uncertainty in his eyes as the others moved quickly. “Go!” You shouted at him with a hard gaze.
He nods slowly before catching up with the others. You tried to move as farther as you can, holding the tracker in your hand as you dove in. But a shockwave near you almost dismounts you from your ilu, but you kept going. Once you had deemed it was far enough, you let go, letting it drop to the ocean floor.
Now your problem was going back to them. To Lo’ak.
Your eyes scanned everywhere for any sign of them, but you couldn’t find anything. You moved up to the surface just in time for you to see two banshees carrying a net that held Tsireya and Tuk on the inside, while Lo’ak was fighting to get them out from the outside.
“Fuck!” You exclaimed. You then had to look for Neteyam, hoping he wasn’t captured as well. Then you heard the wailing of the people arriving on their skimwings. You bit your lip, looking around. Your breathing ragged as you prepared to let your ilu move. But something appeared from beside you, making you gasp but it was only Neteyam. “Shh!” He said, placing a hand on your mouth. He then lets you go when you calmed down. “Neteyam, they- they’ve got them.” You spoke. “I know. I saw.” Neteyam sighs, thinking of a way to get his siblings back. “We try to-“ Neteyam was cut off as you saw Payakan in the distance launch himself onto the ship.
“Holy shit!” Neteyam exclaimed. You then saw a bunch of boats headed at Payakan.
“That’s us, let’s go, let’s go!” Neteyam said to you as his ilu raced to the demon ship. You follow, racing beside him.
You watched as the war waged on between the Metkayina and the Sky People. Then you saw the demon ship caught on fire as it began moving in full speed towards a rock, launching itself up in the air before landing against it, slowing down to a halt.
“Follow me, alright!?” Neteyam looks back at you. You nodded frantically as you watched him dive, tagging along as you steered your ilu underwater.
Then Neteyam charges upwards, hopping off his ilu and he climbs up towards the ship, you copied his movements, landing on the ship with a loud thud.
“Neteyam! (Y/N)!” Tuk exclaimed in joy. “(Y/N)!” Lo’ak said in surprise, looking at you. “Hey there baby brother, need some help?” Neteyam chuckles as you cut off the bands of Tsireya, then Tuk with your own dagger.
Neteyam was left with Lo’ak. “Get Tuk out of here, Reya.” You said to her, patting her back as she nods, taking Tuk’s hand before jumping in the water. You then waited for Neteyam to free Lo’ak.
“Who’s the mighty warrior, hm? Come on, say it!” Neteyam teased Lo’ak who rolled his eyes, he was now cut free. You sigh in relief as you ran to embrace him as his arms wrapped around you tightly.
Resting your head on his chest as Lo’ak kisses the crown of your head.
“Come on, let’s go you two, move!” Neteyam said, chuckling. You pulled away from the hug with a chuckle. As you were about to jump off with Neteyam, that’s when Lo’ak stopped in his tracks and goes the other way, making the two of you look at him.
“Lo’ak!” Both of you shout. He picks up a rifle on the ground, cocking it. “They’ve got Spider. We’ve gotta get him, come on.” Lo’ak said, looking at the two of you. “Come on, (Y/N)?” Lo’ak looks at you when Neteyam doesn’t respond. As far as you knew, Spider was Lo’ak’s brother too, even if he was human.
“Okay, I’ll come with you.” You said, nodding. Neteyam smacks his fist on the ground before following the two of you.
Sneaking in the ship wasn’t easy, there were a lot of humans evacuating as their urgent voices filled the ship. You, Lo’ak, and Neteyam used your skills in climbing to climb upon the metal ceilings of the ship.
Then you spot the group of humans who were escorting Spider as you silently landed on a platform, sending a signal to the two of them, pointing down. You waited until you strike.
Jumping down on the ground you stuck your dagger in one, before grabbing one and flinging him to the side on the wall as Neteyam dealt with the others. You had grabbed another one and flung them out the edge, letting them fall in the ocean. Lo’ak grabs a gun, this time as he turns around, he spots another one gaining consciousness, reaching for the gun and aiming to shoot at you.
Lo’ak had acted before he thought, finger curling around on the trigger, sending bullets flying towards the human and upwards the ceiling until he lets go, the human falling limp on the ground. You flinched at the sound, turning to see Lo’ak holding a gun and the human in front of him dead. Lo’ak stared down at the human, then at his gun.
Neteyam and Spider looked before hurrying to leave. “Let’s go.” You hold Lo’ak’s hand, grounding him for a moment as he nods, running over towards the open water.
But before you could leave, one of them had already spotted you, leading you to be pushed to the side as bullets were fired. “Go! go!” All of you huddled against a corner.
“Give me that!” Neteyam snatches the gun from Lo’ak’s hand before firing at the enemy. “Go go go!” Neteyam still fired at them while Lo’ak and Spider took the opportunity to sprint and jump in the water. Due to your sudden fear creeping up in your veins, you had lagged behind.
“(Y/N), go!” Neteyam shouted at you, but you knew better you weren’t leaving Lo’ak’s brother. You knew how much Neteyam meant to Lo’ak.
Once they had stopped firing, you grabbed Neteyam with all your might, pushing and making him jump into the water as you joined him behind as another round of bullets were fired.
Jumping in the water with them, you swam under the ship before you reached the surface outside, gasping for air. “Woah! That was insane!” Lo’ak laughed, high-fiving Spider as Neteyam laughed with them.
“You are such a skxawng, brother!” Neteyam said.
You laughed with them, seeing Tsireya approach you with her ilu out from the corner of your eye. “Come on.”
“(Y/N), let’s go!” Lo’ak looked at you with a smile while Spider and Neteyam grabbed onto the ilu.
You still held a wide smile, until it quickly faded.
A sharp searing pain suddenly burrowed its way into your chest, crawling all over your torso like you were on fire from the inside. Your brows furrowed as you gasp, hand reaching over to your chest, the pressure of your finger touching the wound only adding more fuel to the fire inside of you. “Huh...” You breathed out. Tsireya, Spider, and Neteyam look over to you as what happened finally registered in Lo’ak’s brain as he saw your expression drop.
You were shot.
“Shit!” He exclaimed as he pulls you close towards him, with Neteyam helping out. You could feel them helping you up, but the burning sensation was still there as you didn’t know what was happening. “Keep her up, keep her up!” Lo’ak shouted as you felt yourself being submerged under water then you were raised up to the surface. You glanced up and was met with the ilu as you wrapped your arm around it. You were then finally hoisted upon the ilu, you figured.
You gasped again, feeling the air hit you. “Hold her up!” Lo’ak said as Neteyam pulled you up against him as your head hung low as you tried to focus on breathing. You wanted to breathe, but why was it so painful? You looked up, your vision slowly spinning. Lo’ak goes in front of you, manoeuvring the ilu.
“I got you; I got you, alright (Y/N)?” Lo’ak said, trying to find a shore he can land you on. You held your hand against your chest, retracting to find blood covering your whole palm. Your blood. You furrowed your eyebrows. You didn’t know what was happening around you and Lo’ak could only try so hard not to panic. The love of his life had just got shot. You had just got shot.
“Dad! Dad! Help! It’s (Y/N)!” Lo’ak screamed at his father. Jake hurried over as Neteyam carefully held you with Lo’ak. “It’s (Y/N), she’s hurt. Dad-“ Lo’ak explained.
You gasped and gasped, coughing as more blood seeped out from your wound. Then you found yourself being laid down, somewhere. You didn’t know. You looked to the side and saw Lo’ak.
“Lo’ak…” You gasped out. “(Y/N), (Y/N) stay still alright? We’ve got you, I’m here.” Lo’ak looked panic-stricken, Neteyam looked at his brother when Jake turned you to your side, then both Jake and Neteyam’s eyes spot the continuous blood leaking down from the exit wound on your back as you coughed out.
Jake turns you back, a knowing look on his face as he and Neteyam glanced at each other. Jake then looks at his youngest son. “Pressure, pressure! Keep pressure on it!” Jake said, placing Lo’ak’s hand on your gunshot wound. Jake seeing you in this state felt like he was losing a child of his own as your young eyes glanced everywhere.
Lo’ak pressed his hands further down your chest, making you scream out, but all that came out was sharp gasps as you tried to pry his hands away, it was too painful. You couldn’t take it. “N- No, s-stop. Stop it- p-please.” You gasp out. “No, no (Y/N). We have to keep this on here, alright, kid? Yeah? Stay with us.” Jake said. Lo’ak’s heart pounded in his chest and in his ears. It was deafening as he looks at you.
Neytiri then arrives, seeing the scene in front of her makes her rush towards you. “(Y/N)…(Y/N)!” Neytiri shouted. Neteyam looks at his mother then at you. “She- she’s been shot.” Neteyam explained.
Your chest heaved with every pressure Lo’ak kept on you, you were gripping onto his arm with the strength you have left, but it feels like every ounce of your energy was being pulled out of you.
Lo’ak’s other hand goes up to your cheek as he gulps down the lump in his throat. “(Y/N), look at me… look at me, please.” Lo’ak begged and you followed him, looking at him, your mouth agape as you still tried to catch your breath. “I- I-“ You gasp, frowning as the pain was beginning to become unbearable.
You glanced around to find yourself surrounded by the Sully family, including Tsireya, who was sobbing.
“Lo’ak, I- I don’t know what’s happening… what’s happening?” You asked urgently, tears rolling down the side of your face as you are looking around you, soon training your eyes on Lo’ak.
“W-w- what’s happening, Lo’ak?”
“Hey, hey, you’re fine, we’re going to get you some help, baby, okay? Stay with me, please, just- just keep your eyes open for me, don’t sleep, don’t sleep.” Lo’ak said, stroking your cheek. Neteyam rubbed at your arm as your chest rose and fell rapidly.
You nodded, trying to keep your eyes open for Lo’ak. For him. You could make it, for him. You were going to make it for him. You will try.
You gasp, forcing a smile your face as you reached your hand up to Lo’ak’s cheek, him instinctively leaning into your touch, Neteyam’s hands replacing the pressure on your chest as Lo’ak held your hand in his as he finally sobbed, voice breaking.
“Lo’ak..look- look at me.” You gasp out loud. Lo’ak shakes his head no. “No, no…” Lo’ak closes his eyes, afraid to open them to find you laying there, with your blood coating his hands. You look at the others, who were trying their best to keep you alive, then back at Lo’ak as you feared you were running out of the energy you had left. “Look at me..” You managed to speak calmly, finally making Lo’ak look at you, rubbing his eyes so he could see you clearly.
“G-good person, okay?” You start, your hands moving to his hands to grasp his pinky. “You are a good person… d-don’t forget.” You smile at him through blurred vision. You then coughed, still trying to catch your breath as you could taste your blood accumulating in your throat, making your words gargled. You push through as blood seeped out from the corner of your mouth due to you facing him. Then with the last bit of energy you had left, you spoke your last words as you had finally made peace with what was about to happen.
“I-I see you, Lo’ak.”
Lo’ak’s heart drops as your hand fell limp on his, your eyes who stared back at him slowly became distant as the life had been drained from you along with your smile. Lo’ak then had a blank look on his face as he started to shake his head, using his hands to cup your cheeks, wiping the blood away on your lip using his thumb.
“No... Hey.. (Y/N)… don’t do this to me (Y/N)… (Y/N)! Don’t do this to me, come on please, hey.” Lo’ak shouted, now trying to shake you awake as your hand fell limp beside you. “No no, wake up, wake up, wake up.” Lo’ak said, trying to shake you awake again before grabbing your hand and placing it against his chest.
“Wake up.” He whispers, squeezing your hand, yet you didn’t squeeze back. Jake stared at you, then at his son as his heart felt like it was being torn apart. Neytiri had stared before she cried out a scream of agony, clinging against Jake.
Neteyam looked at your lifeless form. He slowly retrieved his hands from your chest, looking at them, palms smeared with your blood. He frowns, dropping and leaning against his dad as he allowed himself to silently cry for you. Tsireya shakes her head, holding onto your legs, trying to shake them, hoping that you would still respond as sobs wracked her body. Spider stared at you, gulping as his tears still came out, feeling sorry for his brother.
Lo’ak looks up at the sky, almost wanting to curse every being that took you from him. You didn’t deserve this. Lo’ak fights with himself to look at you once more. His eyes meeting your face, pale and blank. Lo’ak shakes his head, leaning his forehead against yours. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry. It’s all my fault, I’m sorry. I’m so-“ Sobs were ripped out from him as he cried onto you, lifting your limp body up his arms as he hugged you. All he felt was your lifeless form, as he was taken back to the times you’d respond with hugging him back.
Lo’ak swallows down another lump down his throat as he shakily presses a kiss towards your forehead.
He had lost you, his life. The one who truly understood him. The one who eased his worry and pain ever since he could remember, now being the one who caused it tenfold. He wanted to scream, he wanted to go berserk.
Lo’ak still hugged your lifeless body against his, forehead leaned against your cheek as he muttered apologies.
“I’m sorry.”

Things had slowly begun to change the days leading up to the feast of the Tuklun arriving. They were small changes but they were there.
You began to see Kaiman more when working with Ronal and while walking around the village on your lonesome. You shared polite hellos while passing by but nothing too eventful. Though there were a few times when you shared glances across the way. Ronal seemed to notice this and each time he came into view she had you being pulled the opposite direction.
Jake had also started to act differently. He would sit by you now in meals rather than across on the other side of the family circle. Come time to sleep Jake would tuck the kids in after you giving you time to get settled into your space in the pallet before getting in. The two of you started to stick closer together when you were on an outing with family. He would always keep to the side of you that had water on it and if you were going through a crowded space he would keep his hand on your back to gently guide you through.
All of his actions confused you. You had no idea why he had started doing this, even when you would be pretending to be a couple he never did this. It felt so genuine and intimate. It just confused you.
The feast came quicker than you expected and before you realized it, you, Ronal, Tuk, Tsireya and Kiri were all in the tsahìk’s marui getting ready. Well more of you were trying to get Tuk ready.
“Two seconds Tuk I am almost done,” you sighed, working quickly to finish up her braids, the amber bead now resting in her hair. “You said that a hundred minutes ago!” She whined, “I wanna go to the party!” “Tuk. Manners.” Kiri hissed while Tsireya finished up her hair. Tuk huffed, crossing her arms. You rolled your eyes softly fixing her top, you couldn’t blame her, you and Neytiri were the same way with your mothers, you’d rather go out and play then spend the time getting ready.
“And done!” You announced pulling back. Tuk twirled around a grin finding her lips. She instantly went and hugged you tightly. “Thank you Mama,” she whispered into your abdomen. That was another thing that had changed, your relationship with the children. Since calling Tuk your own, versus calling her Jake’s daughter to the woman in the shop all those weeks back you found yourself more comfortable around them. No longer did you feel like such an outsider and the kids noticed it. Lo’ak and Neteyam still called you by your name but Lo’ak had a few “slip ups” where he called you mom.
Tsireya was quick to finish up Kiri and turned to you. “Are you ready to get ready?” She asked with a kind smile. You hesitated and looked yourself up and down. You had yet to change anything about the loincloth and top that you wore since coming to Awa’altu. “I figured I would just wear this. That is all I have.” You explained. Ronal and Tsireya swapped glances, a smile coming to the daughter’s lips. “You can go get it now daughter,” Ronal nodded and her youngest was quick to disappear into the back of the pod while you and your daughters stood confused.
“Come, let us get your hair done then get you dressed.” Ronal instructed, leading you to the stool that Trisreya used for Kiri. “Kiri, come help.” She called your eldest daughter and she was quick to come over. Ronal seperated your hair into sections, the ends curling in different directions, it was not much different from Kiri’s.
The two took their time putting little braids and pearls into your hair not wanting to make a drastic change to your looks and it was not long before Ronal was helping Tuk put the amber bead into your hair.
“I am sorry it took me so long.” Tsireya’s voice rang out announcing her presence as she came back to the marui. “Aonung decided to move it.” She huffed. Coming over to you all she had in her hands two articles of clothing. Crouching down she laid out the top and loincloth in front of you and your ears perked up while you looked at it. It was truly a work of art. The way Tsireya had it was woven with bits of coral and shiny rocks she had found during her swims, the brown and cream colorings reminding you of the sand of the beach.
“I hope it is okay,” she spoke with shyness as you stared. “I was not sure what you would like so I took some advice from your kids and Toruk gave me some of the stones.” At the mention of Jake’s name you grimaced slightly. The more kind gestures he presented you the more confused you got. “Come,” Ronal gently shook you out of your thoughts, “Eclipse is falling and I know your family is waiting.”
It did not take you long to swap out your clothes for the ones Tsireya made and you Tuk and Kiri to leave. Tuk skipped ahead of you two and Kiri walked close beside you. “Is everything alright Sa’nok?” Kiri suddenly asked, looking up at you. “You seem tense.” You glanced at her, your ears flicking down in response. “There is no need to worry Kiri,” you put your arm around her shoulder and she put her arm around you in response. “I am just thinking over things.” She looked at you with an unsure countenance but didn’t press.
When your Marui came into view Jake stood there watching his sons roughhouse while waiting for you. Your breath caught in your throat at the sight of him, seeing the paint on his body that the men helped him with, the way it danced along his body, defining his muscles and scars. It told a story that you yearned to know. But no, no. You could not do this to yourself, not after three years of nothing but hatred between the two of you, you could not let yourself fall for him after a few simple touches and smiles.
“Dad!” Tuk grinned, getting his attention. When he saw her running to him he crouched down catching her into his hands and pulling her up into the air. “Well don’t you look pretty.” He chuckled as she hugged his neck. “Mama helped me! She got us matching beads from an elder in the shops!” “Did she?” Jake smiled, turning to look at you. You did not meet his eyes, looking at some random object behind him. Jake’s smile faltered slightly before he picked it back up and bent down to set Tuk on the ground. “Are we ready to go Sully family?” His question was followed by cheers from the kids and the four of them were quick to take off by the beach leaving you and Jake following behind side by side.
“It was nice of Rona and Tonowari allowing us to come.” Jake said as you walked, “It’s good for the kids to get out and be kids.” You nodded slightly, trying to ignore the way your hands were brushing and you brought your hands up crossing them over your chest. “I cannot remember the last time I saw Neteyam genuinely laugh. I forget sometimes that he is only fifteen.” Jake sighed, “He comes by it naturally unfortunately.” This got you to chance up at him with a soft frown wondering what he meant by that.
The music grew louder as you drew closer and you could see the fire glowing, its orange tongues reaching up and licking the skies trying to eat the stars. Everyone was dancing and singing, drums pounding in your ears setting the tone for the evening. Tonight was a night of celebration, the Tulkun were home and everything was well. “Well, I shall see you later I suppose.” You muttered once you made it to the clearing knowing that the crowd would be too drunk to notice that the two of you were not together. Not waiting for a response from Jake you slipped into the crowd leaving him confused.
Your brain was fuzzy and confused as thoughts of Jake swirled in your mind. It bothered you, angered you even that he was suddenly acting so nice as if nothing had happened and you could not help but wonder if it was because of you meeting Kaiman. How did he find out? And why were you so worried nothing had happened between the two of you and you were not sure if you really wanted anything to happen to the two of you, Kaiman was just a distraction. “Just a distraction.” You muttered coming up to the table that continued shell cups full of drinks meant for the adults.
The man sitting there handing you a tiny shot glass which you downed instantly and set the cup back down. “Want something to sip on?” He offered and you croaked out a “please” as the alcohol burned in your throat. When you had a bigger glass in your hand you muttered a “thanks” and went back out into the crowd sipping on the drink.
It did not take long for your cup to be empty and the drink started to take its toll. Your senses were nulled and it felt like your pain was gone. You started to laugh, why were you mad in the first place you wondered you could not seem to remember. Soon you bumped into someone’s shoulder and you stumbled back. “Sorry,” you mumbled looking up to the victim of your attack and your eyes lit up when you saw Kaiman. “Kai!” You cheered and instantly hugged his arm. The man (who was also a bit tippsy) let out a nervous chuckle. “Hello to you too,” he gently lifted your head up with his fingers under your chin. You looked up at him with droopy eyes and a dopey grin and he understood instantly, this must have been your first time drinking Metkayinan alcohol which was known for its powerful taste and its quick affects to the body in comparison to the alcohol the clans in the forest made. “Drank a little too much?” He asked and you grinned rolling your eyes. “Just a cup or three, and a few shots.” Kaiman sighed, shaking his head. You pulled away from his arm and grabbed his hands, “Come let us go dance!” Your voice grew loud and giddy but Kaiman did not move. “I need to get you to your husband.” He said holding onto you so you would not leave as he looked around for Jake hoping it would be easy to spot his blue body over a sea of green.
You groaned at the mention of Jake. “Why does everyone keep speaking of him!” You spat, “He does not love me! I have never been touched by anyone and I am certainly not mated in front Ewya to him. His kids are not even mine! They are my best friend's!” With every proclamation your voice grew louder and Kaiman was thankful that everyone was too drunk to hear you and if they did they would not remember it by morning.
As Jake walked by Kaiman waved his hand getting the man’s attention and pointed to you now pissed standing there. Jake upon seeing you was quick to make his way through the crowd. “Our alcohol is much different from yours,” Kaiman explained, taking his hands off you so Jake could look you over. “Stronger.” “Yeah I figured,” Jake nodded having only had half a glass. “Plus she’s a lightweight.” He put your arm over his shoulder and bent down, getting your legs standing up with you in his arms. “Thank you.” He said to Kaiman and the man nodded, “Take care of her.” Kaiman responded looking at you worriedly.
Jake carried you through the crowd as you squirmed, he managed to find Tonowari and Ronal and explained that you were not feeling well and if they could let the kids stay with them for the evening, which they agreed.
“Why do you have to ruin everything?” You growled looking at your knees. Jake looked down at you as you continued. “You take my best friend from me, have her killed, then you take my freedom away and force me out of my home! I hate you.” You hit his chest. “Ewya I hate you!” Your feeble attempts did not hurt Jake in the slightest but your words did. He knew that you were drunk but drunk words were just sober thoughts that you were too scared to say. He knew you right though, he had taken so much from you and it took him too long to realize it.
You continued to struggle as he walked into the marui and he gently set you down on your pallet. In an instant you curled up your tail wrapped around you as you hugged yourself. Soft sobs began to rack out of your throat as the alcohol continued to work on you, giving you a flood of emotions. “I just wanted her to be safe.” You sniffled, “she loved you so much.” Jake sighed softly coming over to you with a shell glass filled with water and he sat down on his knees by you. A low growl rumbled from your throat and your tail flicked in warning. “I am not going to hurt you,” he whispered, “or I will try to not hurt you any more at least.” Jake knew his words were worthless compared to all that he had done to you over the years, even now when he dragged you to the one place that you feared.
“Can you take a few sips of this and then I’ll leave you be?” He coaxed. It took a few moments of you angrily eyeing him before you weakly sat up and took the cup from him. The cool water was an instant relief to your throat and you chugged it. “Easy, easy,” Jake whispered, not wanting you to choke and when the cup was empty you pulled it away from your lips with a gap, wiping the water off your lips.
You were not completely sober but the buzz had started to slowly wear off. You wiped your nose with a sniffle. You refused to cry in front of him. He hated you and you hated him, that was how it was always going to be. But you started to find yourself not wanting that any more. You wanted to be able to wake up in his arms to see him smile, go on date nights every once in a while, look at him and be happy. You hated yourself for that.
But you didn’t know that he wanted it too. Jake was mad at himself for how much pain he had caused, he knew that if Neytiri was here she would hit him on the head and call him a Skxawng. He deserved it, that and more, for hurting you, for lying to his kids.
Jake watched as you glared at him one last time before rolling over and curling up. He pulled the blanket up over you, your body tensing as he did and he could not help but wonder, was there any way to fix what he did?

Y/n sighed, placing her phone down on it's face as she looked over at Neteyam and Ao'nung. She wanted to believe Kiri and Tsireya so badly, but the way they're mood seemed to drop whenever they were around her, and the way they seemed so happy around others but looked so out of it around her just couldn't leave her mind. All of it flooding her mind and making her sulk as other groups in her African American history class presented their projects.
She let her thoughts take over, putting her in a trance until she heard her name being called along with Neteyam and Ao'nung's. She stood up, walking to the front of the classroom, not even bothering to look at her partners. They quickly joined her to the front, each boy standing on either side of her.
Both teens seemed to notice her sulky mood throughout their presentation, exchanging glances with one another to see if the other noticed as well. They desperately wanted to check on the teenage girl but couldn't seeing as they were in the middle of a presentation. All they could do was wait.

Trust in Me
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: You finally get the reason out of your boyfriend, Lo’ak, why he’s put a stop to anything past second base. (Lo’ak/Female Human Reader)
Prompt #9 for Avatar12DaysofKinkmas2023.
Story Tags: No Use of Y/N, Xenophilia (Alien Genitalia), Female Reader, Human Reader, Aged Up Characters, Everyone is Legal, Yes they’re both eighteen+!, Friends to Lovers, Interspecies Relationship(s), Size Difference, Na’vi Biology, Hand Jobs, Begging
Author’s Notes: So, if anyone’s read my stories before, I usually wrote the male Avatars and Na’vi as having similar parts as humans (i.e. d!ck and ball$). This challenge in particular was for actually describing alien genitalia so I challenged myself… and used Bad Dragon as an idea base. If anyone’s interested, I used Sleipnir and (very, very loosely) Ky’el to write out my description, if you want some visuals – heavy on the Sleipnir – and threw in a knot for good measure.
Na’vi Translation:
Tweng — loincloth
Yawntu – loved one | lover | beloved person

“I think we should stop.”
It was the same thing every single time.
You and Lo’ak had been friends since your twin brother had dragged you out into the Omatikayan forests and had you befriended the Sully children. Though, as a teenager, you technically got along more with Kiri, Lo’ak had always had a special place in your heart. When it came out that you mutually had a crush on the other, you had officially started dating. And it had been going good for the last seven and a half months but now in the last eleven days, any time you tried to do more than just some kissing or some light upper body groping, your boyfriend, your sweet, wonderful, usually enthusiastic boyfriend would suddenly put a stop to anything and everything sexual. He would draw away from you or literally pick you up and move you off of him since he was nearly twice the size of you. And the constant rejections were beginning to wound your pride.
“Do you… do you not… want me?” you asked quietly, drawing away from Lo’ak and looking up at him with distressed eyes.
The younger Sully son, still all long gangly limbs even at eighteen-years-old, jerked, his ears and tail twitching in alarm. “No, Mamas,” he immediately exploded, his voice rising high in offense. “No, I want you. Trust me. I do. A lot. I just…” You leaned forward and kneeled between his thighs, cupping his angular jaw in your hands which looked so much smaller when touching his beautiful sapphire skin. “I’ve seen your brother’s… stuff… and I don’t… I look… I look different. Alien… Weird… Freaky…”
You blinked and tried not to smile in relief.
It wasn’t you.
You hadn’t done anything wrong.
He was just worried.
“Lo,” you murmured softly, trying to contain you bemused grin, “I kind of figured you’d look a little different than anyone human.” His cheeks went a little purple in a blush and you leaned in kissing just above the pink tip of his nose. “How about…” you suggested softly, lifting the mask hanging around his collarbones, “you let me be the judge of what I can handle? Hmmm? I really want to see you, Lo’ak.” You leaned in, kissing the underside of his jaw, adding, “I really want to touch you.” He sighed behind the plastic as he sucked in carbon rich air and you moved to kiss up beneath his ear, one of his beaded braids resting against your temple. “I really want to pleasure you.” He groaned as you nipped at the sensitive skin of his neck. “Do you trust me?”
He nodded, sighing, “You know I do, Mamas.”
“Then trust me now,” you begged him softly, pulling back and meeting his golden gaze with your eyes. “Please?”
Lo’ak smirked slightly and leaned in, kissing you once more. “Okay, baby, you win,” he replied.
The Na’vi sat back on your bed, making himself as comfortable as possible as he slowly, carefully undid his tewng, pulling it off and revealing his naked body to your gaze. You gazed curiously down at a slit on his pelvis where a human’s cock would be with a slight bulge on either side of the opening. Carefully, you reached out and caressed the fleshy bulge and finding it soft, like a hairless human scrotum would be, watching your boyfriend shiver, “Does it hurt?”
“No, no,” he quickly reassured you. “Feels good. And the more… the more I get aroused, the more I’ll come out.”
You nodded, adding, “It’s probably safer that way – more protected.” He nodded, remembering the few times Spider had gotten hurt between the legs during his growing years and had had to stop and recover. “Can I touch you like this?” You proceeded to gently run your finger along the slit, feeling a slight slickness that you would find on yourself when you decided to indulge in self-gratification. Your boyfriend hissed sharply and you looked up, to make sure it wasn’t a pain noise. Instead, you found him staring at you with pupils blown wide in his golden orbs, his jaw clenched in pleasure. “Good?” you asked, just for confirmation. He nodded instantly, tail twitching rapidly, ears swiveled towards you as he shifted his legs wider in encouragement. You lowered your gaze and touched him a little firmer.
A moan bubbled out of his pink lips at that and his slit began to open, revealing something pink within.
“That’s… that’s my cock, yawntu,” Lo’ak whimpered, his legs tensing slightly, “at least the tip of it. Gently… gently coax it out.” He sighed as you pressed your fingers into the top and bottom edges of his slit and caressed the crown, finding little nubs all over the pink head. He grunted as he began to slide out into the open blossoming under your careful strokes, his shaft slowly filling with blood as you ignited his lust with your tender ministrations. “Oh, fuck… Mamas, just like that.” You gulped as he continued to slide further and further from his sheath and thicken, revealing noticeable ridges decorating the underside of his length. And towards the base of his cock was a ring of flesh, slightly thicker with more of those little nubs. He must have noticed you staring because he added, “Neteyam’s mentioned it’s a knot, meant to make sure my mate will keep my seed inside longer and heighten the chance of pregnancy.”
You admitted, “I might… not… be able to take that, Lo. You’re already really thick.” He nodded, panting. He took another breath from his mask. “Can I keep touching you?” you asked.
Lo’ak nodded, murmuring, “Yes, please. You’re making me feel so good already.”
You beamed to yourself and settled your gaze back on him and barely managed to wrap your fingers around the tip. His cock seemed to emit its own lubrication so it made stroking your hand down to the base easier, though with how thick it got, well, it was going to take your body some training to get it to fit inside of you. And you repeated the movement.
Down… and up…
Down and up.
“Oh, baby,” Lo’ak whined, beginning to shift his hips into your touch, little aborted jerks of his pelvis as if he was fighting not to thrust into you like he wanted to do. “Please, please… can you… can you grip it harder? Please?” he begged. You complied, meeting his half-lidded gaze. “Just a little tighter. Oh, yes, yawntu, yes, j-just like that.” Your boyfriend clenched his jaw and hissed through his sharp teeth. You squeezed a bit more as you neared the base of him and he let out a cross between a rumbling growl and a whine causing wetness to pool between your bare thighs. “Oh, baby. Yes. Please, please, please.” An idea came to you and you shifted your weight to straddle his calf, the ridge of his bone giving you enough stimulation to grind against him and feel sparks of pleasure from each jolt of your hips. “Oh fuck, Mamas! Are you fucking yourself on my leg?”
You flushed but didn’t stop your hands or your panty covered pelvis. “Maybe,” you admitted, grinding down onto him harder.
Lo’ak’s tail lashed in arousal. “Fuck, that’s so hot,” he whined.
With renewed determination, you moved your hands even quicker, trying to make sure to keep squeezing him as his cock thickened further. Your slick leaked out of you and onto his shin through the now drenched fabric and made your movements even easier, if possible. You wanted to cum but you wanted to make this good for your boyfriend, too. And at this point, the tip of his cock was beginning to drip with pre-cum, a lightly blue bioluminescent glow emitting from the slick.
“So close, baby, please,” Lo’ak nearly sobbed, fucking himself up into your hands earnestly. You grabbed onto the swelling knot with one hand and stroked the ribbed underside of his shaft to the best of your ability with the other, squeezing as hard as you could.
That seemed to do the trick.
Lo’ak came with a loud, drawn-out grunt, throwing his head back into the wall as glowing blue cum spurted out of him, his knot swelling firmer and the ridges beneath flaring as if to assist locking his cock into place. Splatters of the stuff landed everywhere, your hands, your bedding, his thighs, your hair, his lower stomach, your face… At least it smelled pleasant. He sighed, bringing the mask up to his face once more and breathing deeply, trying to catch his breath and grinned down at you smugly.
“That’s even hotter,” he chuckled. “You’re gonna smell like me for days.”
You pouted up at him. “My turn? I didn’t finish.”
“Yeah, yawntu, definitely your turn.”

Karma is my Girlfriend
(Lo'ak x f!Reader)
Tumblr media
Aonung and his group keeps on pestering you and the Sully's, what does Aonung possibly deserve?
Ever since you and Jake Sully's family moved to the Metkayina clan, Aonung and his peers have not done anything but bicker with the Sully children, specifically Kiri and Lo'ak for their differences that stood out from the family - hair above their large eyes that were phrased "eyebrows", followed by an additional toe and finger.
You weren't lying if you said you didn't find the uniqueness of the two Na'vi admirable, especially the boy you had grown to fall for. His reckless and carefree behaviour made you feel free every time you hung out with the handsome Sully boy you were crushing on, his hollowed cheeks more prominent when he talks, the smile that could beat a thousand fireflies in the dark, eyes that could be your source of light in a faint cave, the personality you seek for comfort and happiness.
He often let out teasingly romantic remarks such as "If we were ever mates, our children would look good," then simply taking it back with a "because their daddy is obviously smokin' hot, their mommy though, she's ehh." to obviously tease you in a flirtatious yet degrading manner.
You have been a close friend to every member of the Sully family, they loved and accepted you as an important figure to their family. The Sully couple took you under their wing when your parents have finally been at rest during battle, protecting the Sully family with their bodies, meeting Eywa's peace in the process.
The least they could do was protect you the way your parents protected the Sully's. You had sworn to follow your parents' actions to look out for the Sully family as well, which leads to this very moment.
You and Kiri have been having a chat while being on the shore, peacefully observing the small-scaled animals that were hidden under the layers of water and sand until Aonung and his flock of unfortunate-looking friends smugly arrived at the controlled scenery.
Aonung came closer to the two bodies laying on their bellies, just observing the sand looking at each other once the mini-sized animal was doing something eventful.
Aonung releases a cackle from his stomach, his lips quickly moving, "The hell are they doing?! Haha! Are you two some kind of.. freaks?" the faint sound that was faded due to the water made the two girls look up, curious on who was speaking.
"Huh? What did you say?" Kiri questioned as she cleaned up the water from her now puzzled face while [Y/N] just had a salty look on her face, already anticipating the teasing that will happen.
"He asked if you guys are freaks!" an earache replied to Kiri's question. [Y/N] and Kiri just scoff as they quickly trudge away from the emitting argument.
"Leave us alone!" You yelled at the group of Na'vi boys tormenting and touching at your body parts that were different from theirs. Trying to gently push Kiri away from the chaos happening so she could leave the scene sooner, not getting into a bigger problem until..
"HEY!" You hissed and swatted Aonung's hand that pulled your tail too hard, he chuckled halfway before a sudden stinging feeling has been planted on his cheek, the contact of your palm and his face releasing a loud "whack!" sound. That would definitely be a dark blue until tomorrow.
The shock on his face was brightly displayed before maneuvering his body that stumbled backwards due to the slap forward to you.
"Bitc-" He started, straightening his body and towering over you trying to put on a cover of being intimidating.
"Back off fish lips!" A booming voice was heard throughout the shore, the familiar Na'vi emerging from a place.
"Ohh! Another four-fingered freak!" Aonung's smirk once again finding a place on his horrid face.
Such names were voiced out once again. "Look at his little baby tail!" "Baby tail!" "Look at his tail!" "Awe, baby tail!" "It's so cute!"
"Leave us alone!" Kiri's voice was heard once again, trying to get the Metkayina boys to stop harassing the Omaticayan kids.
Then, the eldest Sully child had stopped from the waters that [Y/N] and Kiri were once in, shoving Aonung a way in a dominant manner.
"You heard what she said. Leave them alone." Neteyam said poking his pointer finger on Aonung's chest as a way of trying to tell him to flee.
"Ohh, big brother coming-" Aonung raised an arm at his peer, signalling him to keep quiet, Aonung could only look at Neteyam in amusement while he was practically threatening him.
"Back. Off. Now." Neteyam ordered, this time, poking harder at Aonung's chest. Aonung raised his arms in the air as a way of showing him surrendering. "Smart choice.. And from now on - I need you to respect my sister." He looks back at Aonung's group to make sure they're listening, one of Aonung's friends hissing back as a response.
Aonung raises his arm in front of his friend, trying to get him to stop. "Let's go." Neteyam said, ushering us to go with him and flee the problem that has hopefully finished escalating, Aonung and his friends going back to making fun of the Omaticayans that were now leaving the finished argument - though, a finished argument was what you wish actually happened until Lo'ak walked towards Aonung once again.
"Lo'ak come back!" You said, trying to keep the argument from escalating another time, you followed Lo'ak, standing beside him in case of anything worse erupting again. "I got this [Y/N]."
He raised his hand up to show Aonung, a clear view of his extra finger. "I know this hand is funny, look, I'm a freak, alien," the Metkayinan boys only chuckled, knowing they agreed to the boy's statement about himself "but it can do something really cool, watch," he started to use his other hand to guide the one he was just demonstrating "first up on the top, I'm gonna hold it real tight like this," he continued with his hand in the form of a fist "okay, then,"
A tight fist flew to Aonung's face with speed and power, punching him once making him stumble back, he lands another two more which makes him fully fall down on the grainy sand beside the salty waters beside him.
"It's called a lunch bitch, don't ever touch a Sully woman again." Lo'ak warned before getting into a fighting stance, unfortunately he was tackled down immediately a moment after.
"Shit.." You mutter as you glanced at Neteyam, who was visibly just as stunned as you are. You let out a sigh as you quickly rushed to the madness that was unfolding before you.
You speedily kicked the back of the knee of a guy that was pulling on Lo'ak's tail and made him land face first, pinning his hands behind his back as you grabbed a handful of his hair and repeatedly bobbed his head up and down into the sand, making sure he consumed and had his eyes engulfed in them.
You stood up once again pulling the other guy that was tugging on Lo'ak's tail by his queue and tightened your grip, considering his nervous system was in there. "RAH! THAT HURTS!" he yells out an ear bleeding yell, while you drag him away from Lo'ak so he could get a chance to fortunately stand up, you quickly shoved the boy you were dragging and straddled him, elbowing his face repeatedly in a pattern that left his eye a dark color with puffiness indulged, a nose that was bleeding like a murder scene and a burst lip that had probably popped from the pressure you gave.
Seeing Lo'ak in the corner of your eye, he was winning against Aonung, the sight of the two Sully brothers rocking the shit of two Metkayina boys into the next decade was a sight to laugh at - until, Aonung got back up again.
You wasted no time to get to your crush's side to pack a kick at Aonung's side, leading him to face the ground that he just stood up from, immediately on the floor again. Lo'ak chuckles at the sight of Aonung miserably failing to get up due to your repeated kicks on his back followed by another kick, this time from Lo'ak, the kick landing onto his gut.
The pattern of you and Lo'ak giving a hit at Aonung's body was going well until -
"STOP!"
Oh shit. That deep, booming, and awfully recognizable voice of the former Toruk Makto fills the area.
Tumblr media
"What the hell were the three of you thinkin'?! That's the Olo'eyktan's son you were quarrelling with!"
Though, Lo'ak made the scolding less vulnerable with his oh so familiar touch that never failed to keep your mind basically gravitate down your heart. You and Lo'ak had always been hip to hip, or rather, skin to skin due to the close proximity you guys have always been having since you were children.
When you were younger, they were just simple taps, and nudges - growing older though, the touches became more frequent and electric, becoming hands holding and tight hugging. Anyone can see through the two of you like you were closets made of glass.
The feeling of your hands tangled with his four fingers was always an exciting feeling, his extra finger was there to keep your smaller hands warm.
When the lecture was over, the two of you were forced to apologize to Aonung and his friends.
Walking hand in hand out of the marui, you can't help but laugh at the conversation you two were remembering, getting reminded of the look on their faces.
"You should've seen his face when I slapped him, Lo'ak! Holy shit!" You giggled with your crush
"You should've seen it up close when he was getting punched! He looked so mad he seemed constipated!"
The two Na'vi laughed until a comfortable silence filled in the conversation you just had.
"Lo'ak?"
"Hm?"
"Sully woman?"
He felt his breath hitch in his chest, shocked by the slip up he was reminded by, the heat rising to his cheeks making it a deeper purple than it already was.
"I- Uh- You know, you're a Sully woman, we're best friends, yeah- I w-want to like, make you- uh-" his lips were forming into an "O" shape when you placed a honey-like kiss on his cheek.
You were giggling to practically yourself, the feeling in your stomach was like the feeling of watching the rising sunrise, like a seed that was once planted is now blossoming.
"Are you trying to ask me to be yours, Sully?"
"Hell yeah!" he yells, laughing between the sentence, he pulls your body onto his, "My Sully woman?"
"Definitely your Sully woman now."
As said, your both tight embraces of each other has led you two to a bittersweet kiss, plump and slightly chapped lips made contact, the kiss being more eventful than the beautiful sunset behind the figures.
You're still the most beautiful out of every sunsets and sunrises we see experience here. He thought.
BONUS
Aonung watched the sight from afar, clearly interested in the two's relationship.
"Damn, karma really hits you bad huh Aonung?" one of his friends stated, also looking at the young couple beneath the scenery.
"Shut up, it's not karma. How would it be karma?'
"Oh so you just don't consider it being karma when we got our asses clocked into another decade? THEN, you see your enemy smooching with the girl you find beautiful? That's karma, bro. She's like, the karma."
