Personality Description:
Lykos is a happy pup. He loved nature and living amongst his pack and other animals. He was a tree hugger like any other animal. He loved listening to the sounds around him while simply lying on the ground.
Lykos wasn’t the smartest crayon in the box. His mindset was very animalist at all times, hunt, eat, play, love, and protect. Which is still strong on his mind even in adulthood. On a day-to-day, his wolf resides in a plane in his mind even when he’s in human form only taking over during the full moon. He didn’t like giving his wolf full control over his mind or body but they happily coexist.
Spending so much time in the forest Lykos picked up many hobbies, his mom called him a bull in a china shop because he loved crafting miniature things. He taught himself how to whittle wood and make jewelry out of the things he found in the woods, and how to hunt gems from the river rocks. He is also naturally athletic, running and hunting come easy to him and his wolf. He trust people easily and tries to see the best in them.
He like to think running can help anyone mood, he like to run his problems away. He thought he had to become stronger being a gym bro also took over his personality, he had to be strong, lift the most weight, do the most pushups, run the fastest, and hunt the most deer. Two complete opposites but while he loved crafting he learned to love strength training.

Background:

Deep in the woods of the Jeji islands, where it was mostly inhabited lived a pack of wolves. A small pack that has lived on the island for generations, living off the land with very little contact to the ‘outside world’. Hunting for meat, building their own homes, and skinning animals to make their clothes. A very primal bunch. That was until a couple of years ago with the deforestation of the land revealed the pack to the more modern society. The elders of the pack stayed back in what was left of their wolf-built villages while the children were whisked off to school due to societal laws.
Lykos had an easy life, living in the woods where to him nothing but nature and his family meant something to him. He grew up in a metaphorically white picket fence house. A mom and dad who loved each other until what would seem like the end of time. They loved each other so much they popped out a whopping 9 kids and Lykos was lucky number 5.
Living with his family in the Lykos never left the watchful eyes of his parents or brothers and sisters. With 4 brothers and 4 sisters, Lykos was well-loved. His family had a normal pack dynamic, with Dad being the head of the household and his mom the gatherer taking care of all the pups while the men hunted for food and of course the breadwinner.
They weren’t rich by any means but they had what they needed.
But Lykos was different growing up he was smaller than the other pups, as a male he should have been bigger than the women in his life but he just wasn’t. Lykos and his wolf grew at a slower rate than everyone he knew. It didn’t fly with his dad at all. That’s when Lykos began to hate his body. “How can you protect your family if you’re tiny? A real wolf should stand tall against other wolves around him” Words swirled around his brain of his thoughts that came from his father and mother.
Then came his obsession with the gym, day in and day out he would spend any time he wasn’t at at the gym lifting weights or running in the forest. The older he got the more his body changed, the muscles filling out his body. He could see how proud his parents were in their eyes but even being bigger and stronger didn’t help Lykos, he should be bigger, stronger. He thought getting bigger would help his ego, being stronger would make him a stronger leader of his family. While it helped him physically, it wasn’t who he was.
As a teenager Lykos knew he liked men, he worried about telling his parents but mostly his dad. But they were close so he knew he could go to them and talk to them about anything. So that’s exactly what he did, they were surprisingly understanding. They didn’t care who he pined for but without missing a beat his mother gently reminded Lykos that he was still to marry a she-wolf and have pups.
That’s the moment Lykos became scared. Being a werewolf was sacred and closed society, they see themselves as superior beings. They had to keep their bloodline pure. The most important thing in his family was to continue on the generations no matter what, his family tree while sometimes resembling a spider web was still easily followed because of the sacred lineage. It went as far as wolf siblings matting together to keep the bloodline pure. His older sister and brother were married off together and so far had 2 pups. It had nothing to do with love (although they did love each other as siblings) but more about procreation. His own mother’s first husband was her brother who sadly passed to a hunter before she was able to have a pup. His mom was then married off to Lykos father and they continued to have kids together.
Lykos was to be married off to a she-wolf from another pack because they were similar ages back in his mom’s hometown Jeoluml South Korea. He couldn’t even disagree or leave kicking and screaming no matter how much he wanted to. He knew it was what he had to do, it was like a business transaction. It was his first time away from his family. So off he went to meet his betrothed she-wolf ‘Hei’. She was pretty and he thought she was sweet, that was until she found out that Lykos liked men. He assumed she would be just as understanding as his parents but he was deathly wrong, Hei was disgusted, he was thrown out like a wet dog with insults hurled at him.
Back home his parents were not happy. He should have kept that part of him a secret but they promised to find him a more understanding wife, maybe even a lesbian. But he didn’t want that, he wanted to be with someone he loved, even if it wasn’t another wolf. Voicing his opinion was the worst idea, they demanded Lykos come back home where they could knock that idea out of his head.
Lykos didn’t want to go back home there was no way, no matter how much it hurt being away from his pack he couldn’t do it. So he stayed but he had nowhere to go, he wasn’t welcomed in Hei’s pack. He was a stray.
If he didn’t come back the elders of the pack threatened to ban him. He didn’t want to be controlled by other people, he didn’t care about the werewolf race and continuing the lineage. So he refused to return, and yapped about creating a new life for himself. He was free.
At the begining he stayed in the forest not sure where to go or what to do. It wasn’t until he heard a group of people running towards him. On high alert he was ready to attack only to realize it was a group of runners on a ‘scenic run’. like a dog who’s owners just came home Lykos got excited and joined in on the run.
Lykos wanted to join the running team so he followed them, all the way back to the university. He easily passed for a student and started going to classes. It didn’t take the school long to find out about him being a stowaway but he convinced the headmaster that he could bring the track team all the gold metals which is exactly what he did.
After enrolling in college and picking his major as well as his classes…the whole time what he thought was bodybuilding was actually Body 101. It wasn’t until halfway through the semester and hand raised question of ‘why aren’t we lifting any weights?” did he realized -only after he was told- that body 101 isn’t about working out but in fact general health of the body.
He enjoyed the classes anyways and continue until he got a degree. But it still wasn’t enough for him, he felt alone and Lykos was never one to be a loner. He soon met a friendly elder who understood what Lykos was going through. The elder told him about a forest near a grand academy that might have a pack that would take him in. So again off he went.

Children of sworn enemies would be joined here. For the first and maybe the last time in their existence they would learn of the other sides. They would interact with each other and live and laugh and hate. Like they were all the same.
The group that build the academy was made out of creatures from all realms and all alliances. Demons and angels alike worked together on making an institute for all those that desired knowledge and superiority. They assigned the place of headmaster to a mysterious being without a name. They would rule the school for eternity in their endless knowledge. No one knows who or what the headmaster is, all that is known is that they have been there for as long as can be remembered…

Envision a ray of sunshine meeting the ground , then you’d see Yuqi peeking out from the rays with a goofy grin on her face. This girl has a hard time taking anything seriously, and will crack a joke about literally everything. Life in her eyes is all about having fun and loving fully and wholly, without regrets. Ever the cheerful person, she’ll make it her personal mission to improve your day if you’re having a bad one.
That doesn’t mean she doesn’t have bad days, just like everyone else, she’s just become better at hiding it. Being the fun, bubbly one all the time comes with its drawbacks. When Yuqi is having a bad day, typically stemming from lack of touch or someone being angry/upset with her, she’ll most likely keep to herself, not wanting to spread her sadness. Love is the only thing there should be, right? She tends to internalize and blame herself for things, whether they were actually her fault or not. This may (definitely) stem from watching her parents fall out of love, despite her trying her hardest to keep them together. In a sick twist, her desire to separate herself from people only feeds into her sour feeling, as she literally needs affection to function as a cupid. It usually takes one of her friends or lovers noticing her mood to come to her and offer comfort to pull her out of her depressed feelings.
If you don’t like physical touch, stay far away from Yuqi. From holding your hand to full on launching herself into your arms, she’s constantly seeking physical touch. Her friends have come to accept her fingers tracing their skin at any moment, a soft sigh leaving her lips as she can literally feel the touch making her lighter (both physically and mentally). Kissing is one of her all time favorite things, making her feel even better than just touching with her hands alone. Don’t be worried though, Yuqi is also extremely caring about personal desire, and would never, ever do anything like kissing you without your explicit permission. It might be hard for her not to view you saying no as rejection, but she’s working on this thing people call “personal space” (especially with people she’s just met), even if she doesn’t think it should be a thing that exists in the first place.

♡Love Potions: will make you a love potion for the price of a kiss! Only lasts for 1 day as of right now though, so make it count!
♡Love Arrow: making a heart with her fingers and using her other hand to pull, a small golden string with a golden arrow on it will appear that she can shoot at people. Based on her intention and intuition as a cupid, she can light the spark of love that the person has in their heart. This is not a sure fire thing though, that spark has to be there for Yuqi to ignite it. If there is no love for the other already in their heart, Yuqi can’t cause love to be there out of nothing
♡Flight: can fly small distances, Yuqi likes to use them to hover a few inches off the ground instead of walking most of the time (mostly to make up for her being short)

♡Lack of Love- not only does not having frequent affection make Yuqi feel like crap, it can physically make her sick or even cause death in extreme situations. This is why she becomes so distressed when people are upset with her. You can say fixing that relationship takes over her entire being, wanting to fix whatever it is that caused the person to have bad feelings towards her.
♡Obsession- Yuqi hasn’t really experienced true love yet, but when she inevitably does, not only will she lose her powers to spread love to others (which she views as an integral part of herself), but given her clingy personality, she could quite easily become obsessed with the person. Obsession to the point that it becomes a harmful thing. Love comes and goes, but for Yuqi truly loving someone that doesn’t love her back or losing that love could potentially be life changing/threatening.
♡Naive/Gullible- Most wouldn’t view this as a weakness, more of a bad trait, but when it comes to Yuqi, it is a weakness 100%. To say Yuqi views the world through rose tinted glasses 90% of the time is an understatement. She doesn’t like to see bad in the world, and makes the conscious choice to view even blatantly negative things in a brighter light as much as she can. Because of this, and her constant need for attention (even negative attention coming from people who do not have her best interest in mind) she has found herself in some pretty scary situations.

Yuqi came to be in a fluffy white cloud. Imagine a puff of glitter and sunshine coming together to form a person and you’d have a fairly accurate vision of how this cupid came into being. She spent most of her early childhood in heaven, flitting about with the angels and other beings of light before moving down to Earth to be adopted by a Chinese couple living in Korea due to her father’s job. In her early life she was surrounded by love, her adoptive parents doting on their little bunny and each other. Yuqi was the happiest she thought she could ever be. Sure, there were hardships, but the ever present sunshine in her soul shielded her from the harsh reality of the world, instead showing her that even the darkest shadows were able to be reached by light. As she grew, she spread as much love as she could, always on the lookout for the spark of affection or longing in all those around her, from her friends and family to random people she crossed in her day to day life, making sure she did what she could to help foster love and happiness. Her upbringing was typical, full of trips to the zoo, struggling in math class and being picked on by the school bully (for being too happy of all things, they ended up close friends until he moved away their sophomore year). She dated around, enjoying the simple pleasures of the company others provided. Her heart soared, feeling like she was walking on clouds (not literally though as she kept her wings tucked nicely against her back, hidden of course). Her flings adored her, though she never truly felt that spark she saw so often in others. But she was perfectly fine with that, choosing instead to focus on the amazing feelings that coursed through her growing body as those around her sprinkled her with affection. To say she thrived was an understatement.
Unfortunately that carefree feeling wasn’t meant to last. Starting shortly after her fourteenth birthday things started to fall apart. She slowly watched her parents, her everyday living proof of how amazing loving another person could be, fall out of love. It started with bickering, soon moving onto entire blow ups that Yuqi watched with wide, confused eyes. How could this happen? She watched as the brilliant flame of love slowly faded from her parents, even though she tried her hardest, using all of her abilities to try to keep the fire kindled. They divorced when she was 16, leaving the choice of who she stayed with to their daughter. Heartbroken, Yuqi chose to live with her mother in hopes that the woman would be more open to relearning to love her ex husband in time. Try as she might, her parents simply didn’t love each other anymore. Yuqi blamed herself entirely, doubt filling her mind with her own powers and abilities. How could she claim to be a cupid, to be a being who spread love and joy and happiness, when she couldn’t even keep her own parents in love? She withdrew into herself, staying locked in her room as she slowly became sick. She thought that it was just penance for her inabilities. As she grew weaker and weaker, she thought about what she could have done differently, how she could have done better.
It took another cupid, one that she had known from her time in Heaven, coming to see her to make her better. The older being explained to her that even though their job, their very being, was to embrace the love in the world, they also needed to accept that love is not universal. Nor is it permanent, especially among humans. Human beings were fickle creatures, always evolving both physically and emotionally. And this meant that feelings come and go like the weather, especially feelings of love and attraction. That does not mean that she failed, just that ultimately the most important people in her life were human. And thus subject to human whims. Yuqi took the words to heart, opening herself up to accepting that there was nothing more she could have done. She left her room, reaching for the physical comfort and healing that came with a long hug from her mother as she cried all the pain out onto her mother’s shirt. It took time, but she grew to understand that this just happened sometimes.
Years later, Yuqi was ready to see the world on her own. Both her parents, to her absolute delight, had remarried, the flame burning brightly again in both of them. She had also grown as a person, her bubbly personality pulling all sorts of people into her path. She learned more about people, different personalities showing her the complexity of life. Of course she took every opportunity to ignite that spark of love, but she paid more attention to the shape of the flame, instead sometimes encouraging a lifelong friendship or a much needed professional relationship. There were many different types of love and longing, and Yuqi learned quickly to tell the difference. So here she was, her parents happily married (even if it wasn’t to each other), the happiness of friends and loved ones around her, and a boundless future of her choosing. When she heard of Insolitus, a school full to the brim with people like her, it wasn’t even much of a choice. She packed her bags, kissing her mom on the cheek before she boarded the train into a future that she couldn’t be more excited about.
