athena evans is the leader of team 1 (A). she was born in athens, greece and has a twin brother, elijah. they both have an mental link that allows them to know what the other is thinking and feeling. athena spent almost four years in prison, Rikers, for being superhuman and someone offers her, her brother and two more friends, the chance to get out, but they have to save humans.

athena fought in prison for her survival against humans, alterateds and superhumans equally, becoming like that some sort of assassin and a monster. she doesn’t think she can become a heroine after all she went through, but she tries anyways because she has the chance to help more people like her, superhumans, that are in prison too.

athena is the most powerful of them.

her powers are: cryokinesis, hydrokinesis, telekinesis and omnilingualism.

SYNOPSIS

Ever since Marisa Sanabria left to study film in Buenos Aires, the world turned strangely colorful. One morning, Marisa woke up able to see colors where there weren’t any, without being able to understand where this had come from. Until she meets Sonya Grau, a girl who can also feel things where they shouldn’t be. Sonya introduces her to Carmen Britez, a woman as ancient as light itself, unlike anyone Marisa has encountered before.

There is something very special binding the trio together: they can see the truth of souls. All of their secrets, their past, future, and everything in between. A new member of the secret House of Aurelia, Marisa is introduced to a world within our own, one that holds every secret the universe has: the enigmatic Midrealm.

It’s around this time the murders strat happening. It starts with the body of a boy in a sewer system. More follow, every one stranger than the last. But the strangest thing is not that they are dead, it’s how.

Something is stealing their souls.

MARISA SANABRIA, THE IRIS: 19, film student. The world to her is an enigmatic work of art, she does not seek beauty but truth. Marisa is fierce and unafraid, taking in the world like a bull, passionate. She is pure fire, cherry red.

SONYA GRAU, THE MESSENGER: 20, biology student. She meets Marisa at a café, and together they're two sides of a coin, tree green and cherry red. Sonya is calculating, silently cunning like a serpent.

CARMEN BRITEZ, THE KEEPER: Two things to know about Carmen: One, she hasn’t always been Carmen. She is as old as the universe itself. Two. She can see everything. She is the young leader of Aurelia, wise and relentless.

Violet Muiry, curseborn and unaware, has lost her family in a fire. In a moment of passion, she uses her silver timepiece to cast the time-winding spell she found haphazardly tucked into a lost spellbook. Twenty seconds tick by in reverse and magic becomes a hungry beast once more. The spell instead has eaten a hole through her soul, leaving Violet with no clue as to how she is getting it back.

“Sasha was not a hero. he was an assassin. A monster. His hands were stained with the blood of all those bad guys who he had killed for money... But who could blame him when the only thing the boy wanted was to make sure that his little sister was okay? He already had lost his big sister and he couldn’t saver her.

Maybe this was redepmtion. Or maybe this was a show. He wasn’t his father, for sure, even if people often tended to confuse him with Dmitri and call him russkiy soldat... He was not a soldier. He was not the fallen angel everybody claimed. Aleksandr was way better than that.”

Aleksandr “Sasha” Dmitrievich Romanov is a member of team 1 (A). He was born in Moscow, Russia and has a little sister, Kat. His father is Dmitri Romanov, who fought with the Walkers during the Cold War. he’s a very well known and famous, known as the true russkiy soldat, and also a member of the Imperial Russian Family. Sasha was trained by his father to become a fighter, a spy and an assassin, along with his sisters, Elizaveta and Ekaterina. His mother is Freja Andersen, an Icelandic woman Dmitri meets in London, in the 70′s.

Sasha fled with his sisters to England, where they meet Heath, when he’s 16, afraid that the power of his father makes them do despicable things. However, Elizaveta dies and they’re not able to recover her body. With no option or resources, Alek decides to make a deal with Heath’s uncle, Brandon Avery, to hunt down bad guys and get paid for it. Alek agrees and with that money, he can buy food for him and his friends.

Sasha, Kat and Heath spent one year in the Russian prison of Butyrka when someone betrays Alek. Max and Taylor offer them the chance to get out and make the right thing saving humans, thing the 3 of them have been doing for almost 3 years now.

Sasha is one of the 3 strongest of both teams, along with Nick and Chris. He’s part of the big 3, along with Heath and Nick.

His powers are: electrokinesis, supernatural strenght, positronic blast and flight.

A book from A Kingdom of Ashes and Stars series.

Genre: high fantasy, fantasy.

Status: first draft.

Themes: faes, dragons, magic, black magic, worldbuilding, death, chaos and order, friends to lovers, mutual pining, high fantasy, power and corruption, war.

Summary: Daryana Markova used to hear these stories about the myths of her kingdom: faes, dragons, supremes, and more creatures that seemed to be taken from fairy tales. But one day, Darya meets someone who will completely change her perception of the world, including her perception of herself, since Daryana is not human as she seems. Daryana is the key to avoid or end a war between magical creatures and humans, but will she be able to handle her power or will choose darkness instead?

Excerpt.

Mom used to say I possessed magic.

I never knew exactly if she meant the real magic or not. But she used to say I did magic with flowers and gardens and stuff: that I brought them to life. I liked to plant flowers everywhere, even in winter. I was the only one who could find flowers that could prevail in any season of the year: in the summer, when the heat was stifling, the sun was shining high and the fields were bright; in the spring, when the trees were lush and strong with fruit, the flowers were full of life and radiant; in the autumn, when the leaves began to fall withered from the trees and formed piles of autumn colors; and in the winter, when a huge, thick white layer covered everything in its path.

Chatacters:

Daryana Markova. 18. fae. Darya has heard these amazings stories, myths of faes, dragons, supremes and more mythical creatures that she has never. one day, she meets someone from who will change the perception of her world and who she is: a fae. daryana has the power to end up the war bewtween magical creatures and humans, but she's not sure if she can handle such a big and dar power.

Aleksandr Romanov. 20. death. Alek is the king of death and the most powerful fae in the world. he is also the winter, known as smert' or voloshna. he finds out the power of darya and takes her with him because the human hunters want to kill her. when alek realizes that daryana doesn't trust him, he tries to be her friend, falling in love with her so slow. aleksandr has to decide if he's willing to start or end up a war.

Denis Slovinsky. 20. fae. Denis is the captain of the royal guard of faes and alek's best friend. they grew up together and denis is willing to give his life for his best friend, but this one does not allow something like this. he is a true warrior and proves it.

Elena Vasileva. 19. fae. Lena fled her home at a very young age and in order to survive, she become a hit woman. she is too close to aleksandr, because they met when elena was running away and he offered her a home. lena helps darya to understand the fae world and finds in darya a true friend.

Stefan Koslov. 21. fae. Stefan is a remarkable soldier who lost his family when he was just a kid, so he swore revenge on humans for what they did to him. he gets very close to darya because aleksandr asign him to be her guard and compain her. stefan and lena find them in the duty to show darya the life of the fae court: the court of the dark.

Irina Dashkova. 19. fae. Irina is a tough girl who was raised in the court: a lady from the royalty who wants nothing but fight and prove that she's not the typical damsel in distress. she hesitates and doubts about darya because she doesn't know her well and through her finds true love and a lot of things from the human world.

1. Royal Blood. — WIP INTRODUCTION.

THEMES: magic, witchcraft, undergrounds, witches, dragons, angels, vampires, faes, werewolves, dark magic, supernatural, mystery, powers, teens.

SUMMARY: Kailan and Connor are sent to Ashckerton Academy, in Ireland. This old castle that works as school for so many underground species: vampires, witches, werewolves, faes, angels, dragons. They were there before, but their parents took them out for reasons that they don't know. Strange things start to happen in Ashckerton because Kailan and Connor are so similar to two of the original leaders of the vampires. Will they leave beside their fear and fight whatever that is happening in the castle?

EXCERPT.

“The idea of attending the Ashckerton Academy was not at all tempting. What was the joke about hanging out with a bunch of spoiled, rich kids from more real families? Yes, learning about advanced magic and mastering more of their powers sounded great, but otherwise the idea didn't appeal to her. She couldn't imagine wearing the ridiculous uniform, or attending classes, let alone interacting with more underground.

However, her mother had been strict and direct with her order. And to disobey her could be considered a capital sin and an offense worthy of death.

Put another way, it was an obligation to go to Ashckerton. No buts, no objections, and no attempts at persuasion to change her mind. Emma Grey was very persistent in making her decisions and even her husband could not convince her otherwise. Not even Kailan, who had the same temperament and was almost similar to her in personality.

It wasn't going to be easy. She had grown accustomed to the quiet of Halldray Castle, where they lived, and to socializing only with her family and the thousands of books in her father's library. Besides, she didn't think she'd really fit in at Ashckerton.”

CHARACTERS:

Kailan Grey. 17. She keeps great powers, and hides them because she’s very dangerous with them. When she first arrives at Ashckerton, Kailan believes that she will not fit in, but actually, she founds great friends that are worth to fight for.

Connor Grey. 17. Kailan’s twin. He’s the one with the idea of getting back to Ireland because he knows that their parents are hiding them something huge and tries to find out what is it... But the answer to his mystery goes beyond of what he was thinking.

Maggie Beckett. 17. She has a big and golden heart, is so loyal with her friends and protects them at every cost.

Malik Anderson. 17. The most powerful black witch ever. Malik proves to herself what she is capable of and who she would risk even her life for.

Lithia Nariel. 17. A serial killer who’s been running from her house in Iceland, trying to have a normal, but, at what cost?

James Donovan. 17. He’s an angel, literally, who’s in love with the wrong person and after, realizes who’s the one he loves.

Greg Crawford. 17. Greg is stronger than others think, and he proves to himself that he is not a frightened or weak boy, as many others swear.

Caleb Miller. 17. He was kicked out of his clan in Liverpool when he was very young, so he moved to Ireland with all his savings and erased all trace of who he was before.

Demyan Novikov. 17. Demyan and his siblings and cousins are kept away from the other species and do not get along with them, but once he meets Kailan, things start to change and to get along with Kailan’s friends.

Vladimir Novikov. 19. The eldest of the Novikov clan. Charming, arrogant and handsome boy who the twins and his little group right away.

Mikhaila Novikova. 19. Vladimir’s twin and the brain of the clan. She’s very protective when it’s about her family, and she would do anything for them.

Zoey Novikova. 15. All her family protects her, even when they know she doesn’t need any kind of protection. But, what about love? There’s any shield for it?

Natasha Novikova. 18. Delicate killer, who protects the ones she loves, and shows what she’s capable to do.

Lucy Novikova. 18. Nat’s twin. Lu doesn’t accept Kailan at first, but when she gets to know her, she might change her opinion.

Dmitri Novikov. 17. He’s very close to Demyan and proves to be every inch a warrior.

Nikolai Novikov. 17. Dmitri’s twin. He has a great heart and does enything for his family.

Appearance: Dark brown and straight hair, emerald green eyes, tanned skin, stocky, broad-shouldered, tall and strong.

Personality: Bad temper, kind, loyal, anger, funny, sarcastic and fighter.

Background: Stefan’s parents were killed by hunters humans when he was 8 years old, so he ran away. He had a foster family and when he grew up, Stefan became a soldier for the Court of Death. Stefan is the best soldier of Aleksandr’s army and he knows it. He is a rave: faes who can manipulate water and transform themselves into water too.

Irina is spoiled rich and arrogant but also a warrior: she proves that is not the typical damsel in distress. Irina is one of the best female warriors and is like Aleksandr’s little sister, so she’s very protective with him. Irina is the best archer in The Court of Death and the only girl of the four bests archers of the fae world.

Although Ashckerton was not the only subway academy in the world, it was the closest to England, as Kamianéts Podilskyi was in the Ukraine; too far away. Ashckerton was in Ireland, located in a really huge, old and kind of cool castle, as far as Kailan could remember, that divided the rooms and residences, without mixing girls and boys. The residences, or cabins as they were popularly called, were for large family groups: like clans or herds.

In their case, Kailan and Connor had no more cousins or brothers, so they would have to share a room with two or three other people, which was a torment for Kailan, who prayed fervently to any deity who was seeing and hearing her because they would not assign her to companions who were spoiled and from royal families, or who would not think themselves popular...

SUMMARY: They dream of these apocalyptic scenarios, of boys and girls they don't know in person, of doing amazing things, but are they ready for what's coming? Athena and Elijah save humans from little things like theft and so on, but one day, things get out of hand and they end up exposing themselves to humans... A species that has lived with and among humans for centuries, millennia perhaps, that are similar to them in appearance, but differ in quite a few things. Will the twins be able to cope with the consequences that their slip brings? Or will it all end in chaos? Athena hates being called a hero and thinks she's not cut out for it; while Elijah is the perfect prospect for a hero. Will they manage to leave all kinds of selfishness behind and heed fate?

EXCERPT.

“Athena looked at Elijah, who seemed excited by the whole idea of having to fight without hiding anymore, how could he be this brave without fearing the consequences of all this? Those silver eyes shining under the emerald green caused her defenses to collapse and her replies to die in her throat.

Like two years ago, what drove her to accept all that shit was her brother, never the reluctant call in her mind telling her it was crazy. Elijah fought with such passion and emotion that it was impossible to tell him not to do that.

I will regret this decision so much, she thought, deflecting the thought of her twin brother, since she did not want him to believe that she was doing it for his connection and not really for other reasons.”

CHARACTERS:

Athena Evans. 17. She doesn’t want to be recognized as a hero, because she doesn’t like humans, but she will risk her life to save the ones she loves.

Elijah Evans. 17. (Athena’s twin). He is the hero that the world needs, and also, he knows his sister is also a true hero, she just needs an incentive to see it. He is ready to fight whatever it comes.

Sebastian Kovac. 18. He’s the biggest killer in the world, a rebel boy who scaped from Russia with his sister and started to killing people to get payed and survive. He is an arrogant boy who will change his attitude towards his leader.

Heath Avery. 18. Heath is the most peaceful of all. He also tries to convince Athena to fight and see that her dreams are not jokes at all. Heath has to decide if he wants to keep his friendship with his best friend or lose it to the girl he loves.
