Hiatus is slowly coming to a close! Thanks to everyone who was patient as I slowly return to posting! Grad school is going great and I got a good work life balance going!

I’m posting more frequently on my Instagram @scourge_aus but imma start easing back into the tumblr crowd!

Those unanswered asks are gonna get answers and new art is gonna get posted! Mostly uncle au but heck, I got lots of AUs here to work with!

i got no fucking idea what sabito would be majoring in 💀 i got all the hashira majors but i don't know what to do with him so if you have any thoughts on that lmk 😭

Rey Rey Rey I have THOUGHTS-

This is a fabulous question and I’ve got ideas! So I have three routes I think Sabito would take:

1.) Rescue: Maybe a firefighter, or a paramedic? Lifeguard? Something that involves saving people and rescuing! Sabito has a strong sense of justice and will always go out of his way to help those in need- something that makes him feel like a hero would be up his ally.

2.) Teacher/Education: Sabito loves and is great with kids- I’m calling it now. He loves those little ankle biters and would go into teaching to entertain and educate babies! I think if he were a teacher for older grades he’d be the strict but fair type, but with the babies? He’s a softie hwnsnwnsnwmsn has lots of cute fox decoration in his classroom and all that.

3.) Zooology/Marine Biology: mainly focusing on sanctuary work- Sabito would be incredible with animals. He’d put a lot of work into helping endangered species and educating people on the different types of animals- everything from how to handle poisonous ones to how to co-exist with the environment around them. He’s the guy who’s always being followed around by foxes.

Western AU for Aphid?

Ngl it took me a minute to understand the ask buuuuttttt

-bounty hunter/vigilante Aphid because I don't think he'd be sherrifs department in anything but like, the base game (we are acab in the house ok?) Hes got a strong sense of Justice though and isn't afraid to take it into his own hands when necessary (though he tends to do things as humanely as possible, dead or alive? Bring em alive. Managed to get out of consequences for their actions? Put em down clean.)

-Hope County would probably be a town or general area that he hangs out in the most mostly camps on the outskirts but has been known to stay in the inn during winter months. Probably the only place hes good and proper friendly with the sherrifs office in mainly because the Deputys are cool people, Joey has that similar sense of Justice while Staci is just plain fun to talk with.

-Broski gets a poncho because I desperately need to put him flowy garments to show movement, its an infection of the brain. I need it, also bandana long hair that sorta thing but thats the normal for him. He gets a lil hat though, he deserves a cowboy hat. His horse is a roan Ardennais (big bulky fellas with the fluffy hooves) he got way too attached to even though its not made for running but he loves her anyway I don't have a name but yeah.

-ok on to like,, cult stuff because i just googled horses for 20 minutes, cults and other such new religious movements weren't uncommon back then so I can imagine Edens Gate moves into his little town that he's taken to hanging out in and hes not happy about it. Especially when they start kidnapping people. He asks the sherrifs department to help him take Joseph Seed in and they get fucked over in the process, similar to the base game.

-ok now we getting into Apharky (fuck thats terrible. anyway) Sharky is setting shit on fire and similar to cannon, Aphid thinks its a smoke signal for help and rushes over only for them to see this random ass pyro (who to his credit is also fighting Edens gate) and proceeds to start bringing him everywhere. Gay ass cowboys fr.

-in terms of the seed siblings (swinging wildly because i can) thank you for allowing me to have the image of Faith Seed in an old cowboy era dress i think she'd look fuckin sick and that makes me very excited for her. Side tangents about outfits aside because this universe Aphid has weird thoughts about justice I imagine that unlike in game Aphid this one feels significantly less bad about all the killing he has to do because in his head its like "they are hurting people, this is preventing future people from dying" which means that Seed sibling fights that would leave him shaken usually doesn't phase him as badly EXCEPT for Jacob.

-something about Jacob being able to force his hand into hurting an ally really fucks with his head. Wracking him with a lot of guilt, in his head if he was on the right path would he have been forced into hurting innocents? Does this make him guilty? Which is a fun mindset that is later exploited by Joseph Seed

I don't have anything else tbh these are just random stream of consciousness things because I never rly think about western au stuff for this character thanks for the ask though! This was fun!

Pirate Terms and Phrases

Batten Down The Hatches - tie everything down and put stuff away for a coming storm.

Brig - a prison on a ship.

Bring a Spring Upon 'er - turn the ship in a different direction

Broadside - the most vulnerable angle of a ship that runs the length of the boat.

Cutlass - a thick, heavy and rather short sword blade.

Dance with Jack Ketch - to hang; death at the hands of the law (Jack Ketch was a famed English executioner).

Davy Jones's Locker - a mythical place at the bottom of the ocean where drowned sailors are said to go.

Dead Men Tell No Tales - the reason given for leaving no survivors.

Flogging - severe beating of a person.

Gangplank - removable ramp between the pier and ship.

Give No Quarter - show no mercy.

Jack - flag flown at the front of the ship to show nationality.

Jolly Roger - black pirate flag with a white skull and crossbones.

Keelhaul - a punishment where someone is dragged under the ship. They are cut by the planks and barnacles on the bottom of the ship.

Landlubber - an inexperienced or clumsy person who doesn't have any sailing skills.

Letters of Marque - government-issued letters allowing privateers the right to piracy of another ship during wartime.

Man-O-War - a pirate ship that is decked out and prepared for battle.

Maroon - to leave someone stranded on a. deserted island with no supplies, typically a punishment for any crew members who disrespected the captain.

Mutiny - a situation in which the crew chooses a new captain, sometimes by forcibly removing the old one.

No Prey, No Pay - a common pirate law that meant crew members were not paid, but rather received a share of whatever loot was taken.

Old Salt - experienced pirate or sailor.

Pillage - to steal/rob a place using violence.

Powder Monkeys - men that performed the most dangerous work on the ship. They were treated harshly, rarely paid, and were expendable.

Privateer - government-appointed pirates.

Run A Shot Across the Bow - fire a warning shot at another boat's Captain.

Scurvy - a disease caused by Vitamin C Deficiency.

Sea Legs - when a sailor adjusts his balance from riding on a boat for a long time.

Strike Colors - lower a ship's flag to indicate surrender.

Weigh Anchor and Hoist the Mizzen - an order to the crew to pull up the anchor and get the ship sailing.

If the events of Sonic Frontiers occur at some point in the SCU would Scourge have the same thing happen to him that happened to Tails, Knuckles, and Amy? How would scourge react to the situation in each AU?

If this were to happen to any of my AU Scourges I could see it happening to Uncle au or Trek au. Dad au and Cookie Crumbles Scourges don't really travel. Dad is raising a kid while in hiding on Modern/Game Sonic's world and Cookie Crumbles is Scourge working in a bakery on Antimobius and more focused on his career than adventuring.

Trek AU is a Scourge traveling the cosmos with his children (one being Sonic) and an eldritch horror from the stars would be a kick ass monster to be worried about. Oddly enough had I made this au post the release of Frontiers the BBEG of that au would likely have been the BBEG of Frontiers cause they functionally the same. The BBEG of Trek au is actually Solaris and the Genesis wave. Although, I'm considering doing a small lore update for Trek au with the new information concerning the Ancients learned in Frontiers.
