Any of y’all remember the Wings of Fire series???

Well, I’ve been on a bit of a dragon spree and I had binged my entire WoF series while I was stuck in another country with no internet.

So thanks to the binge, I’ve created an adorable cuddle moment between Blue and Cricket, and the love child of Queen Glory and Deathbringer.

The love child is who you’re getting this time.

Meet Cosmicshine, daughter to Queen Glory and her self appointed bodyguard Deathbringer. She is a daddy’s girl (not by her choice lol) and extremely sarcastic and independent just like her mother. Her black scales are non changeable, they can camouflage but not change colors depending on her mood. Anywhere with silver scales are changeable, but usually fall back to the silver color reflexively when not in use. So anywhere you see stars, those are there to stay when Cosmicshine doesn’t have any plans to change em. The rest of her body is exactly like that of a Rainwing, freely changing colors based on her moods, when she intends to camouflage, and just choosing what colors or patterns she feels like at the moment.

Her body type is mainly Rainwing, with several differences showing her Nightwing ancestry. Some of her spines along her neck, back, and certain areas of her tail are notoriously longer than the average Rainwing, following more closely to how Nightwing spines are in length. She’s lankier than the average Rainwing OR Nightwing, with a smaller chest than either parent. Her legs on the other hand, are thicker than a Rainwing’s, being more bulky like the Nightwing, with stubbier claws that have less curve and length than the Rainwing’s famous perfectly hooked claws. Her tail is longer than either of her parents’ and thicker like a Nightwing. It still holds its perfect prehensile nature despite the extra length and thickness. Her elegantly curved horns don’t have the rings on them like Rainwings, instead being a smooth finish like the Nightwings. She also has scales much like those of the Nightwing running down her neck all the way to nearly the end of her tail.

Other than that, I think that’s all the differences. Hope you enjoyed the art

Is it weird that I think this episode is my favorite of the season so far? Idk maybe it's because we got some focus on Jimmy and he's one of my favorite characters but I just really enjoyed this episode which is kinda weird since I've seen a lot of people didn't care for it at all.

I mean I feel a lot of people didn't like the episode because they hate Randy and I've always been on the boat of Randy is funny, but not when he gets overused and so far this season he hasn't been overused and also the episode had nothing to do with weed or weed jokes so that helped.

Idk I know that I'm in the minority here but I really liked this episode, especially in the later parts of it, like everything after Randy getting shot really made me go "Wow, I think I really like this episode"

#you read this everywhere but i think it can be true #at least for me it was #last spring we had this tennis training camp with the team i play in #a week prior i played a match against this woman from my team which i won 6:2 6:3 #during dinner in the camp she brought that up and said she was surprised she lost against me #and that she was anoyed because she shouldn't loose against me #i found that a bit funny tbh 😅 even back then because she lost quite clearly #at no point was she leading or my victory was in danger in the last set i was even up 5:0 and i just gave away points lightly #well i didn't say anything but the motivation it gave me 😄#so i thought to myself i will show you no one will underestimate me again :)#i just love playing tennis anyway and improving my game but this gave me a lot of extra motivation #then i had a good tennis season with my first singles wins and trained a lot during the summer until up today #many hours a week when i had no uni at times like 5× a week for 2 hours or sometimes even 4 #i'm so looking forward to playing her again 😀 she will be so surprised with my tennis because it's levels above how i played back then #no but it's not so much about her it was more a i'll show you for myself proving myself how much is possible #now everyone can see it that i'm good and getting praise for my quick improvement and good play 😁#also it's amazing how much you can improve if you put in the time and effort #and i'm really looking forward to summer and our next season using everything i learned in a match #takeaway if someone doesn't think you're good at something that isn't necessarily true #it can mean nothing and you can still show them what you can do i think it can be amazing motivation #her words were just what i needed #that being said i have nothing against her she is a nice person and we always got along fine 😊#unfortunately she is injured now so it will be some time until i play her again i hope she gets well soon...#maybe i should thank her one day for the extra motivation 😂#using tumblr as my diary 😂 what else do i have to do in the train 😂#others opinion of you doesn't determine what you can do ☺️✌️

You guys rlly don't realise how much knowledge is still not committed to the internet. I find books all the time with stuff that is impossible to find through a search engine- most people do not put their magnum opus research online for free and the more niche a skill is the less likely you are to have people who will leak those books online. (Nevermind all the books written prior to the internet that have knowledge that is not considered "relevant" enough to digitise).

Whenever people say that we r growing up with all the world's knowledge at our fingertips...it's not necessarily true. Is the amount of knowledge online potentially infinite? Yes. Is it all knowledge? No. You will be surprised at the niche things you can discover at a local archive or library.

Look. Okay.

There are two things you need to know, here.

First: There’s a style of Greek pottery that was popular during the Hellenic period, for which most of the surviving examples are from southern Italy. We call them ‘fish plates’ because, well, they’re plates, and they’re decorated with fish (and other marine life).

They’re very cool. We’re not 100% sure what they were for, because most of the surviving ones were found as grave goods, but that’s a different post.

The second thing you need to know is that when we (Classics/archaeology/whatever as a discipline) have a collection of artefacts, like vases, sculptures, paintings, etc. and we do not know the name of the artist, but we’re pretty sure one artist made X, Y and Z artefacts, we come up with a name for that artist. There are a whole bunch of things that could be the source for the name, e.g. where we found most of their work (The Dipylon Master) or the potter with whom they worked (the Amasis Painter), a favourite theme (The Athena Painter), the Museum that ended up with the most famous thing they did (The Berlin Painter) or a notable aspect of their style. Like, say, The Eyebrow Painter.
