Fun Fact
Kazakhstan’s Minister of Communications and Informatics has blocked the Tumblr site because it contained 60 sites of terrorism, extremism, and pornography in 2015.
Shitty Arthur Lester aesthetic: everyone always wants to be the narrative's favourite until it turns out that this is actually not a good thing for them. this goes double for when the narrative is lovecraftian in nature. guess what buddy there is yet more plot coming your way and it's in the form of tentacles, cults, and intestines
when people complain about Glorybringer, they are complaining about the wrong thing.
the age gap was not intended by the author. It was an accident. It should not be considered canon.
on the other hand, Glorybringer sucks, because it makes zero sense.
Glory, would not have let Deathbringer get away so easily like he did. It was out of character for her to NOT shoot venom in his face.
And while the books try to say she was, “trying to not resort to that stuff” THAT DOESN’T MAKE SENSE. That maybe would have made sense later in the book, but not in that moment. There was no build up for something like that.
similarly to Ripnami, it is incredibly rushed that Glory warmed up to him so fast despite knowing he was going to kill them, whether he saved her or not. Maybe be a little nicer to him but not the weird relationship they have in the books.
unlike Ripnami, it’s unhealthy whether or not you get rid of the rushed-ness. Okay, I hate the “tsundere” trope, because honestly, it’s unhealthy and it teaches that it is okay to push boundaries. If someone you like tells you to stop, or to leave them alone or something like that.
FUCKING. LISTEN. ESPECIALLY IF IT IS THE FUCKING QUEEN
even if you think that they actually like you. If they can’t say what the mean, then that is their problem solve, not yours. Leave it alone, and let them figure it out themselves.
Being a part of the Wings Of Fire fandom was wild. I started reading the books when I was in fourth grade and my small gang of nerdy friends and I built a society around them.
We designated different parts of the playground/recess area to different kingdoms, and assigned different people different characters. I can still remember everyone's dragon counterpart to this day.
The best part was that we were like 11 and the laws we established were sacrosanct (except for territorial disputes). My little 11 year old ass was adamant about the integrity of our council meetings.
I also have memories of drama going on with Turtle's character? He kept going to different kingdoms (bro was bouncing between the rain garden and slide) and being such a nuisance that different tribes started to declare war on him. Then Turtle got upset because he felt ganged up on and Deathbringer had a heart to heart with him on the concrete stairs.
We talk a lot about warrior cats roleplay and the sheer chaos of it on this site, but we don't talk about the other books that were blessed with playground debauchery.

Well, I’ve been on a bit of a dragon spree and I had binged my entire WoF series while I was stuck in another country with no internet.
So thanks to the binge, I’ve created an adorable cuddle moment between Blue and Cricket, and the love child of Queen Glory and Deathbringer.
The love child is who you’re getting this time.
Meet Cosmicshine, daughter to Queen Glory and her self appointed bodyguard Deathbringer. She is a daddy’s girl (not by her choice lol) and extremely sarcastic and independent just like her mother. Her black scales are non changeable, they can camouflage but not change colors depending on her mood. Anywhere with silver scales are changeable, but usually fall back to the silver color reflexively when not in use. So anywhere you see stars, those are there to stay when Cosmicshine doesn’t have any plans to change em. The rest of her body is exactly like that of a Rainwing, freely changing colors based on her moods, when she intends to camouflage, and just choosing what colors or patterns she feels like at the moment.
Her body type is mainly Rainwing, with several differences showing her Nightwing ancestry. Some of her spines along her neck, back, and certain areas of her tail are notoriously longer than the average Rainwing, following more closely to how Nightwing spines are in length. She’s lankier than the average Rainwing OR Nightwing, with a smaller chest than either parent. Her legs on the other hand, are thicker than a Rainwing’s, being more bulky like the Nightwing, with stubbier claws that have less curve and length than the Rainwing’s famous perfectly hooked claws. Her tail is longer than either of her parents’ and thicker like a Nightwing. It still holds its perfect prehensile nature despite the extra length and thickness. Her elegantly curved horns don’t have the rings on them like Rainwings, instead being a smooth finish like the Nightwings. She also has scales much like those of the Nightwing running down her neck all the way to nearly the end of her tail.
Other than that, I think that’s all the differences. Hope you enjoyed the art
proof that I’m working on the next dragon. might go for the sleepy eyes kinda wiry look for Deathbringer since he’s described as this super handsome dragon or whatever
colors are hard since I don’t want him to look like starflight…
