Hi hon. Nudge nudge wink wink. Any news about the next chapter? :)
I'm slowly resuming work on it. The past three weeks have been unusually, almost ridiculously difficult for me, and I'm just now beginning to emerge from survival mode. Chapter sixteen is currently at 2560 words and know exactly how I want the rest of the chapter to go, it's just a matter of getting back into a creative headspace after being in a bad place for a while.

i used to be in capri fandom years ago and decided to come back and see what people are up to. do you mind explaining what's going on with this nikandros/laurent fixation? is there something about nik that i'm missing? seems like everything he's got damen's got more and better. then again it's been years since i read the books
tbh nikandros/laurent has actually been a thing for quite some time now, im not sure what your specific timeline is but I know ive ben seeing them since 2018 and ive personally been writing them (at least in an unrequited sense) since 2017. I do see that they've spiked tho and mmmmm
I cant speak for everyone but the way I see it I guess it that multi shipping is a good time, it lends to a lot of fun possibilities and interesting dynamics, especially when you take certain liberties with the characters or create these ideas/headcanons etc. and for me especially, in a fandom where we dont get new content and I personally felt like ive basically read and written it all, expanding who I ship them with sort of woke me up and opened up new possibilities. I ship laurent with a lot of people but nikandros is definitely up there at the top, and I honestly couldn't tell you why other than I enjoy it. I think theyre an interesting dynamic, he's similar to damen in ways that make the pairing work and I think he has his own traits that make them really fun to play with. (this could of course be my own projection bc really, we dont know that much about him but I think he can be stoic, and brooding, and unshakable in a way thats really fun to shake up, he's loyal, he's logical, he's skeptical etc) and honestlyyyy he's just really fucking hot lmao like I know damen is hot but to me nik is HOT 😩😩😩

11. In what situation was your character the most afraid they’ve ever been?
for sam it's aiden's coma. his life has been pretty okay since he met aiden and it all just comes crashing down, the future is very uncertain for a while
aiden... uhh his entire childhood, if that counts as a situation? he did grow up in a cult and it got especially intense around his mid-teens, and while everything was going on he had to protect his little brother too and didn't know exactly the extent the people around him would go to
17. What was your character’s favorite toy as a child?
i don't think aiden had toys, the closest he had was probably a piano so i guess, in a way, that was his favorite toy
sam... i imagine sam drew. like that was the one thing he did. throughout his entire childhood. he's never been a very material person. a sketchbook maybe???

You won't have to wait long this time
To be honest, I don't have many opinions on Lady Nagant because she appeared after I stopped reading the manga.
The things I know after the war arc/hospital chapters are mostly from spoilers. I only started trying to keep up with what's happening after chapter 350 came out, so everything between the war arc and that is kind of blurred together in my mind. (and even now, I mostly just see the leaks and only read the full chapter if I'm extremely interested in what's happening)
I really want to go back and read everything I missed to understand the details better because just seeing people talk about it on the internet isn't enough.
So my thoughts on her coming back now are basically just: please let her rest in a hospital bed, she's literally covered in bandages!!
I've rebloged some other people's opinions though that I thought were interesting.
This is my very basic understanding of the two main sides:
The government asked her to kill people -> she became their assassin -> she defected and got branded a villain -> Actually allies herself with a villain briefly -> Deku gave a cute little speech -> she changed sides again and is now helping the heroes -> government asks her to kill people again but this time it's to "redeem" herself
or
The government asked her to kill people -> she became their assassin -> she defected and got branded a villain -> Actually allies herself with a villain briefly -> Deku gave a cute little speech -> she changed sides again but she's only there to help Deku and not the heroes in general -> she isn't trying to kill Shigaraki/she didn't aim for any fatal spots
But I don't know enough details about her character arc to really say which one I agree with more right now.
The main difference is if Nagant was actually completely 100% convinced by Deku's speech or not, and what exactly that speech was about (which I haven't read oops!! 😂)
If Deku's speech is basically just "hero society good actually.", then I would probably also be mad if Nagant was convinced by that after hero society basically ruined her life.
If Deku's speech is more like: "yeah hero society bad, but hero ideal good and i want to try and fix the bad.", and Nagant decided she wanted to help him fix the bad then I think I would be ok with that.
The first option is bad writing (because of inconsistent character motivation and ignoring/retconing plot elements)
and the second option is mediocre writing (because of the unrealistic optimism of 'everything will be fixed by protagonist-kun so we should all agree with what he's saying and help him)
I think I'd prefer the second option but I'm going to wait until after I've seen all the details just to be sure. That's what I did with the Hawks Twice situation too. I literally bought the volume so I could read it and decide for my own. It's just easier for me to read from the physical book, which is one of the reasons I haven't done the same with the Nagant stuff yet. I check the couple of online shops in my country but I haven't seen any of the related volumes available. They don't restock often I guess.
The other reason is, I'm ashamed to admit, lack of interest 😔!!! (plz forgive me Nagant fans)
She's very pretty, I love her design, her quirk is cool, her backstory and what that implies for the world of MHA is extremely intresting...
but I haven't read the chapters so I'm not emotionally attached to her at the moment. I'm hoping seeing her in the anime this season will get me interested in her. I already really like the bits with her in the intro because the animation is top tier.
I'm thinking after season 6 is over I will go and actually read the manga as I said. Properly in order this time.

alec absolutely does not want to go to the beach. the vibes are all wrong and its a sensory nightmare.
luckily for him, eden doesn't care for the beach either; ESPECIALLY english beaches. swimming in the ocean is already chilly in the US, so england's weather makes the water entirely too cold for her!!
instead, she coaxes him into having a picnic with her near the cliffs overlooking the beach. alec is originally against the idea of being so close to such a steep drop, but they keep a safe distance away from the edge :) this way, they can enjoy the sights without all the sand and saltwater flying around and they get a little peace and quiet!!

eden's first realized that their 'no-strings-attached' situationship maybe had a few strings attached when alec had a massive episode and looked like he had dropped dead. she essentially turned into his guard dog and refused to leave his side until she was forced to go to work with ellie. after that? she was like. huh... that emotional outburst over a guy i have an oddly intimate relationship with was weird. ah, anyways-
her big realization happened after he'd brought her along for his interview alongside the press. sure she knew she was his assistant and was present for a lot of random meetings, but an off-the-record interview where he revealed so much information about himself all in one go?? eden thought she was gonna pass OUT, baby.
alec, however, realized his feelings much earlier- particularly when he first ended up in the hospital. did he want to admit them to himself at the time? no, but he certainly was feelin something for the woman !! instead of mentioning it, however, he decided to just wallow in the fact that his love life was a disaster and that he had (supposedly) unrequited feelings for his fwb. it was not a fun time for mr hardy.

honestly im not sure. he is a very new f/o but ill try to answer anyways :3
i think eden buys fancy, expensive liquors, self-care stuff, and stuff like handmade, leather wallets for alec. that, or she goes out of her way to make a mug from scratch for the guy. she even makes sure the handle is big enough for him to comfortably hold and adds a little notch that he can hang a tea bag from !!
alec's first thought is jewelry. what kind of jewelry, exactly, he doesn't know. he could honestly spend two or more hours just squinting at a case of sparkling stones and still not pick something out. gold?? silver?? ROSE GOLD?! he cant choose!! it takes him a while but he eventually decides on something dainty and, if he can, he begrudgingly tells the jeweler something sweet he wants engraved on it. also, no matter how much he spent on the engraving, he will not tell eden that it's there; that's for her to notice in a few weeks and get happy about all over again :)

Supposed to get a new phone tomorrow cause my current one has decided that it's permanently out of storage and isn't connecting to anything normally either.
So this then begs the question of whether or not the person at the store is going to be silently judging me for my choice in wallpapers or is just going to straight up accept that this isn't the weirdest of things they've seen and move on with their lives.
