You know what I was thinking about? Something Steve Harrington would absolutely do?

You've been walking around the museum all afternoon, a perfect date with the backs of your hands brushing until he tangled his fingers in yours and they swayed together as you walked and drank coffee and talked about art and life and everything in between. Steve admits he likes making art, and doesn't really get talking about it, but he likes hearing you talk about it.

And then you're stopped in front of an artwork that just couldn't be ignored. And you actually inhaled sharply like they do in the movies and books and exhaled a "Wow. That's so beautiful." And then you asked him, "Don't you think?"

And he said, "I do."

And, shit, he really sounded like he did think it was beautiful, like it was the most true thing he'd ever said. So you turned to look at him, and he's just staring at you. Which made you far too warm for the beautiful Spring day and you giggled, brushing off his intense look with a quiet, "You're not even looking at the art, Harrington."

So Steve's gotta say the most cocky, corny, cliched, incredibly cheesy, too sweet line:

"You're the only artwork I see, honey."

You fall for it hard.

And I mean hard like the marble countertop he's pushing you into in the bougie bathroom he snuck you both into when nobody was looking. Just so you could look in the mirror as he had his way with you, so you could see what he sees and watch yourself as he whispered into your skin.

How he'd take a million photographs of the way your eyes squeezed shut and your mouth fell open saying his name when he slid inside of you too easily. How he'd paint every inch of you. How he'd sculpt every curve as he caressed them and you watched.

Being Steve Harrington's muse isn't so bad.

Oh, I think we all know Terushima Yuuji and his habit of doing things in the spur of the moment. He's been like this since he was little, and usually it wouldn't have been such a big deal. But, to be honest, your life would have been kinda boring without his eagerness and desire to try out new things.

Lately he's been having such a big influence towards you that now you want to get piercings as well. Unlike him though, you're thinking your choices very carefully. Maybe a little bit too carefully... "[name], I told you! Stop trying a bunch shit-ton of filters, just get the damn piercing and if you don't like it, take it out!" "And I told you, Yuuji, I'm not like you. However, looking back at something he had always wanted, it came to his realization that you might like it as well. He notices your leg shaking rapidly as you're zoning out and the look in your eyes just shows how deep in thought you actually are. Teru doesn't always have a way with words other than his amusing chatter. He hates seeing you anxious about something yet so simple in his mind, hence he decides to speak up: "Listen, darling, don' stress over somethin' like this. Dear anon, it is so funny that you ask this because he had his head on my lap this evening while we were watching some anime and he was freezing so he was cuddling with my Kyojuro blanket. So I guess it does not bother him, but then again, how should he? We have some figures looking down on us everyday and he has a Kyojuro canvas in his work room too 😂

Unfortunately we don’t and we can’t have pets. My husband used to have a cat for 17 years and developed an allergy against cats and dogs the last 3 years before his cat passed away. It was a horrible time for him, since he loves cats and animals in general so much and it pains me to see him so lost and sad when he can’t even pet them.

I used to have budgies, which I loved dearly. They loved to sit on my head and pick out my gray hair. It was really funny and cute, especially when they gave me kisses with their tiny beaks. ♥️

13. When do they fake a smile? How often?

Valen's learned to fake smiles in situations where he really wants to be an asshole, but has to remain a professional. His work as a private operator with Ares Systems means that he deals with clients often and they sometimes can grate on his nerves. They aren't always easy to work with, but Valen is paid well to be a professional, so a professional he'll be. A client says something supremely rude and Valen puts on this small, fake smile that doesn't reach his eyes and politely tells them "Unfortunately, if you want the ability to tell us how to do our job, that's an extra fee on top of the hefty sum you've already paid. So, why don't you let us take care of what you've hired us for while you go sit back and relax." He may be smiling, but you both hear and feel that it would take very little for him to leave you high and dry or crumpled there with a broken nose.

21. What common etiquette do they disagree with? Do they still follow it?

Valen actually doesn't really disagree with many etiquette rules. He was raised in a gang that was more akin to the mafia than anything else and he learned a lot of very specific etiquette that not everyone else learns, such as where to stand near authority figures (it's similar to the way an attack dog heels beside their owner. Valen still does that to this day with people he loves).

His dad, Callen, taught Valen how to be very polite and respectful to the people around him. That was one of the very few good things he did for Valen. But the question is; was it etiquette that Callen taught Valen, or was it submission? That being said, Valen actually learned great etiquette for the general public and still follows mostly everything he learned.

Callen taught him to be respectful to everyone, from the president of the gang to the random guy making his drink at the coffee shop. Callen said that Valen needed to embody the professionalism of the gang everywhere he went. And young, impressionable, eager to please Valen, did.

52. Do they act on their immediate emotions, or do they wait for the facts before acting?

It depends on the situation, but Valen is very good at controlling his emotions and can restrain himself from being too impulsive. He had to learn very good emotional control since being explosively angry around other people who were also explosively angry would've led to some very bad results. Not only that, but Valen decided around the age of 20 that he wasn't going to be like his father; Callen had a terrible temper and very little emotional control. Valen felt the sting from those emotional outbursts often and he swore that he wouldn't be the same. So he forced himself to learn how to control his emotions, so whomever he was close to wouldn't need to feel the same as he did.

“While you’re at the job working nine to five, The Beastie Boys at the Gard-”

Your finger slams the radio off, car plowing into a spot behind the old brick building and coming to an abrupt halt.

Coffee burns as it rushes over your tongue and down your throat, your fingers adjusting the hem of your skirt as you slip your keys into your bag and jog up the steps and inside the cool AC that’s already humming in overtime. Fuck, it was gonna be a day.

The dimly lit hallway of Newby’s is a labyrinth and no easy feat for a beginner. The lights are basically non-existent and your boss, Keith, unloads shipments there. The narrow space is already cramped, and with the foam cups spilling out, reels, chords for arcade games, it is a precise and intricate dance from the back door to the staff room. At this point, you can sway and skip your way around it with your eyes closed, but on a morning like today, you’re simply not inclined to care.

Your tennis shoe kicks at a box of popcorn buckets, knee smacking into something that you’re fairly certain is a butter shipment, due to the stains on the side of the cardboard, and a sharp and loud ‘mother-fucker’ leaves your lips.

His voice calls from down the hall, “You’re late.”

Unwilling to give an ounce of satisfaction to him, you roll your shoulders back and step into the staff room, the faint smell of burnt pizza from an unfortunate microwave incident last summer still lingers in the fabric of the threadbare carpet and cheap couch. You ignore the boy laying on said couch and open your locker.

Eddie pretends not to look at you, but his eyes roam up the back of your exposed legs, to the hem of your skirt and he swallows. Ignoring the way the slight rise of your work polo lifting and revealing a part of your midriff makes his stomach twist up. It’s when you slam your locker closed, curl a piece of loose hair around your ear and take a sip of coffee that he sees it and remembers.

He shakes his head and stands, walking out of the room, “Late night?”

Your body heats up but you just smile at his profile, “Jealous, Munson?”

Eddie’s in his usual outfit. The black polo for the first day of summer, the black, ripped at the knees jeans, dirty white sneakers. It’s only when he stops in the doorway, turning back around to face you, that you see his face fully for the first time since last summer and your fingers adjust on your coffee cup.

He seems taller, his jaw a little more angular, and you detect a slight scruff over it. His hands land on the frame, ringed fingers curling around the wood as he smirks, nodding at your shirt, “Nope. But you might want to cover that up.”

As he leaves with a whistle of a song that stirs something familiar in your brain, you spin and look in the mirror, whispering, “Shit.” The faintest little hickey blooms on your neck and is totally, one hundred percent, visible.

You were gonna kill Steve Harrington.

But that was a problem for a different day, because as the faint sounds of popcorn popping and the stereo begins to harmonize with arcade buzzes and whirs, you have to start your first day of your summer job.

Newby’s was the first of Hawkin’s newly renovated downtown, a town favorite and bustling place when the Indianna summer heat reached insane temperatures. Keith had already given you a spiel about how the new waterpark was going to affect business and you and Eddie needed to be on better behavior than normal - especially if you wanted the manager promotion.

Which you honestly weren’t sure what he was referring to in terms of “better behavior than normal”. There had only been one bucket of popcorn dumped on a head last summer, one Icee to the face, and only like, five, unofficial parties.

But despite hating your co-worker, you really did love the job. You enjoyed the cool temp of the building and the dim lighting to soothe many a summer hangover. Free snacks and plenty of downtime, with good hours that left you with ample free time most evenings. Now, with three summer’s under your belt, you were determined to become the manager, and were certain you’d do a better job than Munson.

Three summer’s of knowing the exact way the popcorn machine could be coaxed into a few more kernels without burning. The bump of your hip in a very precise spot to get the coins the pac man machine would eat, loose. The perfect time to refill salt shakers and napkin holders and run the Icee machine in the lull that came like clockwork before a rush.

But most importantly, you know how to make Eddie Munson tick, even with just a simple piece of bubblegum in your mouth. And sure, maybe it was immature to place the gum in your mouth as you rounded the corner and began the opening duties with him. Maybe it was childish, unprofessional, and not manager material to try to get him amped up already, but you missed seeing his ears turn red and that look flash across his brown eyes. Missed the way your stomach sort of swooped when he swallowed and your faces got close together when you started yelling at each other and-

The bright pink bubble pops loudly as you clean the second popcorn machine, Eddie sighs somewhere behind your shoulder. You relish in the grunt that follows when you snap it loudly across your teeth. Alternating between bubble and snap for the last five minutes.

Early morning light filters in through the small window that runs across the top of the blacked out doors, the movie theater and arcade dim with warm lighting and neon flashes that trick you into thinking it's cooler outside than it is.The trailer for the new action thriller coming in July harmonizes with the whir of a pinball machine, the clatter and cheer from a fake audience in the racing game home screen.

As you close the glass panel of the popcorn machine and hit start on a second batch, you turn with another bubble ready to pop. A pencil in his outstretched hand pokes it.

The sad pink glob deflates over the yellow wood and he smirks at your pout. You release the gum, letting it dangle off the pencil as you hiss, "You could have poked my fucking eye out, Munson."

"Damn," he whistles, motioning with the gummy pencil towards your lips, "Read my mind sweetheart, put this back in there and I'll try again."

Your spine prickles with a familiar heat as you place your hands on your hips. “What the hell is your problem?”

Eddie laughs, gesturing to his chest with the pencil, “My problem? Princess, you showed up late on our first fucking day with a hickey from Harrington and you’re already starting your get under Eddie’s skin on purpose shit with the gum…” He blinks at you, trailing off as you tilt your head to the side with narrowed eyes, “What?”

Your arms cross over your chest. “How’d you know it was from Steve?”

Eddie’s cheeks start to turn pale pink and he chucks the pencil in the garbage, gum and all and turns towards the registers, “I-I uh-”

The double doors swing open forcefully, making you both squint against the harsh light as several voices start yelling over each other.

“La, la, la, la, can’t hear you,” Dustin Henderson sings as he puts his hands over his ears, beelining towards the arcade.

Mike Wheeler is fast on his heel, shouting about something you can’t quite make out. Will Byers and Lucas Sinclair head towards the two of you with smiles that tell you they’re already up to no good and it’s only the first day of summer.

Eddie shakes his head, “No. I know what you’re about to ask, no.”

Lucas places his hands into a prayer in front of his chest, “Eddie, Mr. Munson, if I can just have a minute of your time to tell you our very reasonable request and walk you through an opportunity that you are for sure wanna hear about.”

“You’re not getting free Icee’s. You know what you did.” Eddie points towards the arcade without another word and the two boys’ shoulders fall, turning on their heels. He calls out after them, “And why aren’t you all working? Little old to spend your day in the arcade still, isn’t it boys?”

The four old teens flip him off and then convene around Dragon Slayer, groaning as they look at the screen then over at him. He salutes with two fingers and they all raise two hands, double flipping him off.

lee know as august lol, i think i think i should have prefaced this one by saying that this is all about my perception of the months, which is why i might add a bit more ~explanation~ to these, but i'm putting it here because everyone has a Very Particular definition of august, and that's part of the point. lino has a Very Particular vibe to him, but also hot take, never have i had two people vibe check lino the same. everyone has their own hot take on vibe checking lino, and that is so august of him, fight with the wall. it's scathing. it's the ending of things and a sharp turn to something else. it has two sides to it; it's unexpected, but there's also no surprises - august is always on the horizon, you can anticipate it, but only half prepare.

seo changbin as february is it the romantic association? yes, but it's also more because conSIDER that i have thoughts. in everything it does, february is blink and you'll miss it. it's storms are brief, it's warmth is brief, it's celebrations are brief, and it's frosts are thawing. it's half gone, and there's never enough of it, and it asks me to want for more.

hwang hyunjin as october the it girl of months, i have never seen anyone say a single bad word about october. october is trendy and it's loved and we never tire of it, but we also overlook quite a bit of it as we race to the end.

han jisung as june it's loud and fun, but it holds it's punches in a way unlike july. june is more forgiving, though it cannot be denied. it's busy and it's full and it's a late night and an always laughing moment, but it can also be overstimulating and anxious and clambering for more when you haven't recovered from what was already had.

lee felix as december december is wrapping yourself tightly and feeling warm, it's family and it's friends and it's being content with what is here because you want to hold it before it ends.

kim seungmin as september september is balanced and comfortable, but it's also wanting to demand that you are here. it's stretching out the days as long as you can before surrendering to the change that is inevitable, and it's wondering how long you can still do that before it begins to ache within you. it's watching things change but in a way not yet violent.

yang jeongin as april now hear me out,,,,,,, april is possibility. april has not decided what it wants to be, but it knows what it is. april is confident but quiet. it's still finding itself within the turbulence of what life has. april to me is also being surrounded by family. it's birthdays and warmth and something still undecided, still.

I wanna take some pictures with him - he seems like he’d make the BEST faces - and maybe convince him to play a game of “hide from security” just to cause chaos (and get more time cuz hooh boy wouldn’t that be the dream)

Omg Sunny loves taking selfies with his fans. If you happen to use one of those goofy photo-filters it would absolutely crack him up laughing, lol. He might even ask for more than one.

And he would be SO INTO the whole "hide from security (and also moon)" thing. Watching stagehands go looking for the two of you as you peek out from behind the stowed stage curtains in the back, putting your hands over your mouths to stifle your giggling as a very annoyed-looking moon stomps past your hiding spot.

Bonus points if the two of you mess with people during your "game." Unplugging amps and turning off lights, making the employees question if their gear is broken or if the stage is haunted, lmao.

Sits with you as you complain about the days effects. Never interjects he’s just an ear and doesn't mind hearing about your grievances with that one co-worker who thinks she’s a manager when she's only been there a few months

Lee Know ♡ listens and adds in commentary. Especially if that one co-worker you don't like was there today and was just on another one. It makes you laugh when he calls them a bitch with you

The outrageous shit your boss had you do to the shit you heard from your coworkers about someone else. Rubbing your back and pumpkin to let you know he's listening.

Han ♡ he’s in bed watching anime when you get home. He’ll turn immediately to you when you walk into the room and he knows somethings wrong. Let's you get changed into one of his shirts and sleep pants before grew opens his arm for you top fall into— which you gladly do.

Pauses his episode and lets you rant. If it was bad enough for you to start crying, he’ll sing to you and rub your sore muscles. Just lets you get it all out until eventually, you both end up falling asleep

Felix ♡ takes notice your not in a good mood when you get home and immediately overs to run you a warm bath. cuddles up with you in the bath too and gives you a massage while you tell him about what happened the hole day. gives little shoulder and nape kisses.

Seungmin ♡ takes notice of your mood right away. Makes you some tea to relax and sits on the couch with you against his chest as you ramble about everything bad that happened. He listens as he rubs your hips and thighs

I.N. ♡ Offers an ear when you get home and just lets you get it all out before he’s pulling you into his arms and rubbing your back. doesn’t let you think about work the rest of the night. just cuddles up with you and gives the occasional kiss. maybe puts a movie on for you two
