Jumping back to OX CART scene, Xie Lian's character development was foreshadowed when they were talking about the gifting of ghost ashes.

Book 1: Xie Lian sighed. "It certainly is painful to think about, to have given everything for love and lose everything in return."

This is what Xie Lian is most afraid of! Like even thinking back to Xie Lian pushing Feng Xin away in Book 4, he definitely operated under that mindset. Love is a risk, it's something to be feared. Even now 800+ years later, he still feels that way and doesn't allow himself to get close to anyone. It just hits so much harder thinking that he operated under that for so many centuries.

Then Hua Cheng says

"What there to be afraid of? If it were me, I'd have no regrets giving away my ashes"

Which I think really changed the way that Xie Lian thought about love. Book 5 Xie Lian completely operates with Love is empowering and isn't something to be afraid of.

TGCF isn't about XL realising his feelings, literally from Book 1 it's about him wondering if it's worthwhile to act on them.

Three things, is this person worth losing cultivation over for?

He needs the reassurance that this person must reciprocate his feelings.

Then HC changed his perspective on love from FEAR -> EMPOWERMENT.

XL is soooo self-aware (unlike SQQ from SVSSS and WWX from MDZS), he's an unreliable narrator in the way that he doesn't reveal everything to the reader, especially his own feelings until he was absolutely sure that there really was both a physical and romantic attraction. I wanted to make this post to dispel the assumption for XL it was easy to forego 800+ years of cultivation. It was not? He ABSOLUTELY thought about it carefully.

"You heard the kid, let me knock you up." His hand reaches over to secure itself on my thigh but I bat him away and with wide eyes, I silently chastise him through a glare.

"You guys are the worst." I huff, giving them both a sassy eye roll.

"If Fez could raise me and keep me from killing myself, I could babysit a kid no fucking problem." Ash boasts, giving me a hopeful look through the rearview mirror and I let myself dream about the thought of bringing home a baby and letting Ash see what it's like to grow up actually being cared for like Fez tried to care for him.

"Ash, you curse like a trucker and you smoke like a pipe." Fez teases, sending me a playful wink as I snort.

"A man can learn." A man- you're literally fourteen, shut up.

"Would you rather be a boy uncle or a girl uncle?" I change the subject from the both of us teasing and ganging up on Ash, instead fueling my own dreams of having a child with Fez one day and involving Ash in all the best moments.

"Girl uncle. That kid would be a shit-kicker either way. You'd raise a badass girl, Y/n." He reaches out to pat my shoulder with a sincere smile and I look back at him with a soft look, shocked at his sudden affection at the topic of babies.

This ^ is a screenshot of the very first chapter and yes it might not be your typical, average fanfiction but the story? The story is amazing so far centers and follows around Ashswag and Reddoons, gay businessmen canonically and people suffering…. in a lot of other things.

The story follows these two, Ash and Red. There’s only 2 chapters so far. With 632 words in total but do NOT let that deter you from reading it because the notes and the polls are worth it.

These two are in this room, stick with me right? There is a table in the middle where the two sit in. The author states that they are supposed to be in this room, and that they need to be here.

The room has no door.

They got in, yes, through a door, but they don’t know where the door has gone. It’s vanished as if it never existed in the first place whatsoever. The duo; Ash and Red are stuck in this room yet they need to be here, they’re supposed to be here. They want to get out but alas! They cannot. In fact it almost seems impossible to get out! Because while they did get in, they could not get out. They can never get out of this predicament.

Anyways read the story for yourself because holy hell is this just already a banger!! There’s only two chapters as mentioned but there’s already a puzzle to solve!! And a poll to vote on(well two actually if you catch my drift) anyways!! Happy reading this author deserves the encore!!!!!

I finally played your game yesterday and it is soooo freaking good!!! I‘m absolutely obsessed with it already. Didn‘t know much about the game beforehand so I was in for a lot of surprises. My stoic, ruthless MC is all in for the Ash/Rin poly and ze is so ready to be the heir to make hir deda proud. This was also the first game where I felt very comfortable choosing the more violent options just bc I love this family so much.

But it was so hilarious to have my MC Artemi „Tyoma“ stare down Artyom „Tyoma“. I have the best intuition when it comes to names /s.

I know it‘s old news, but still: Thank you for making the MC not the only potentially queer character in the game (especially considering the russian background). It means so much.

This was also the first game where I felt very comfortable choosing the more violent options just bc I love this family so much.

The only reason Deda is worried about Luka’s relationship with Jackal is because Jackal is a deadly hitman who is capable of killing Luka under the right circumstances 😂

(ash announces he’s going to recite “the bible: part 2” and reads aloud a clownzy angst fanfiction; clown says in the middle of a formal meeting that red should sit on ash’s lap because they’re swagdoons). why are they always like this. and idk if you feel much interest in the latest season of the kaboodle smp but i’m really hoping for some clown x ash homosexualities, to fill out the casino quartet dynamics. as of now, we’ve got clown immediately showing vaguely gay interest towards ash, the mysterious teleporting guy in a suit who violently glitched into a server-wide campfire meeting out of nowhere. (clown: “ooh, who are you~?” ash, who otherwise doesn’t show interest in anyone or anything besides gaining riches: “…where do i know you from?”) (ash: teleports in, kills someone’s pet cat, teleports out. everyone, rightfully: WHAT THE FUCK?! clown: shocked delighted laughter.) yall are going to be so mad at me but i had originally planned for Ash to actually be alive and be Mcs lover back home, but then i decided that i wanted to make it sad and killed them. Oopsies🤭

The lack of faith you guys have in Mcs ability to win makes me laugh so much. They're not completely helpless guys they do have some skills. There will be other Povs throughout the story. Will they specifically be Mcs death? who knows (it's me I know)

And the people of District 8 couldn't vote Mcs Father into the games because hes over the age of 18. They're putting Mc in to hurt him and make sure he feels the pain and fear that they have all felt. Mc didn't do anything themselves to piss everyone off but they're the only one from the Vesper family who was young enough to actually participate in the games. If Mcs sister was still eligible they wouldve put her in too☝️

I don't have a schedule for this If rn I've been focused on writing chapter 2 for my other game. This one is more of a side project but I'm sure there will at least be a short demo out before the end of June. Or I could wait till July 4th and post it on reaping day😏

cordelia <3 it's not her fault the final book in her trilogy was kind of a flop. she slayed it though... except for the love triange stuff that pissed me off an unreal amount you guys know you were there. but i love cordelia she's soooo protagonist... she's so remember that you can't save everyone remember that you have to try..... also her gay ally swag is unbeatable. she loves her gay friends more than she loves herself....

Animal Crossing Characters Headcanons #1

Heeey, I just got into the Animal Crossing's fandom a month ago and I wanted to do this soooo bad. I feel like there's not enough hdcns of Animal Crossing's characters on tumblr, so here u go !

We'll start with my tanuki bois: Tom, Timmy and Tommy Nook, enjoy :)

Our favorite Tanuki Landlord is 42 years-old. He left his natal town for the city at the young age of 20 and came back when he was around 30.

My boi is a bisexual king, periodt.

According to Sable, when he was a kid, he was a idealist with a heart of gold, very ambitious, yet always kind. He hated injustice and was actually very sensitive. I like to think young Tom Nook was a bit like Ash from Pokemon~~

He adopted Timmy and Tommy when they were basically babies (like 2 or 3 years-old or something). He considers them as his pupils and sometimes call them affectively his nephews. That's because he's got too much pride to call them his sons.

The fact that he found two children who looks exactly like him even though Tanukis are a very rare species is a pure coincidence, but Tom secretly like to think it was fate.

He's slowly recovering from depression. When he found Timmy and Tommy in his late twenties, he was at his lowest point, alone and broke, and even considered the s word. Adopting them was like starting a new life and he decided to come back at his little town to raise them and start over.

He's very good friend with Isabelle, Blathers and Sable, and get along with almost everybody, even if they all confirms that Tom is an introvert, just with good social skills.

He had a hard time reconnecting with Sable when he came back, because he developped trust issues. He either rejected her or didn't have enough time to spend with her. But now they are close again, even if they don't have the same complicty they had when they were children. Because of how he treated Sable back then, Mable doesn't trust him and thinks her sister deserves better (she's still polite with him though)

Coffee drinker, and during his breaks he sometimes smoke while Isabelle allows herself to drink a little glass of whiskey. They both do that when Timmy, Tommy and the Resident Representative (or kids in general) aren't there so they don't give a bad example.

He used to have a VeRy AmbIGuOus~~ relationship with Redd at their time in the city. They were buisness partners and lived together but that's all Tom would spoke about him. This is probably thanks to Redd that he discovered that he can be into men (and let's be honest anyone would be gay for Redd <3 even if he's a bastard).

He hates Redd with a passion not only because he betrayed him but also because he brings out the worst in him: from his desire of adventure he became drawn to danger and even illegal things, his dream of glory and ambitions turned into greed, and basically every of his morals and principles were dead during his time with him. He isn't proud of it at all.

Has many talents and interests: good crafter, very great singer (loves to do karaoke with Isabelle), has an eye for fashion (like to speak clothes and do shopping with Sable), chess player, pianist and violonist (he once did a cover of KK Lament).

He won't admit it, but now that he's a bellionaire and have a stable life, he slowly start to think about more "conventional life" things, like marriage~~. He still hasn't found the one yet. This idiot is so oblivious to love anyway... (Poor Sable)

He gives the best hugs <3

He can be harsh with people (especially the Resident Representative) because he doesn't want others to end up like him. He has a sort of affection toward the Resident Representative like for Timmy and Tommy and he's very protective of them. Tom is the kind of guy that would beat the shit out of himself to create a better system and future for the people he cares about, even if he has to act like the villain.

Basically act tuff but he's such a dad and a big softie I luv him so much <3

Despite their height, Timmy and Tommy aren't young children, they're both 15, with Timmy being a few minutes older than Tommy.

No one knows who are their actual parents, and they don't remember them neither, and both don't care. They are happy with their mentor Tom Nook and no one can replace him.

They both work because they want to. Tom Nook never forced them. At first he was just teaching them and let them observe him. Then, when his shop grew bigger and bigger (when he was more stable financially), he asked them if they wanted to work with him to put in practice what they learned. Timmy and Tommy were more than happy to, and actually were always harrassing Tom to let them work with him (they both truly admire him). When Tom Nook thought that they were ready (in New Horizons), he lend them the key of Nook's Cranny. The fact that they work alone in Nook's Cranny are way more a proof that Tom Nook trust them than any kind of exploitation.

Because they were raised by Tom Nook, they're both very mature for their age, more practical, independent and autonomous. So they don't really get along well with others children/teens and are more at ease with adults (Celeste and the Resident Representative are exceptions).

They are both smart as hell (young buisness prodigies), in a different way. Timmy is a quick thinker and learner, very adaptable, more social and persuasive, while Tommy is best at long-term planning, organization, logistics and managment. Tom Nook taught them everything he knows to not let them make the same mistakes he did.

Both probably have a high IQ and are good mathematicians and excellent chess players (Tommy beat Tom Nook once).

Since they are basically adults in teen's body, Tom Nook let them do wathever the fuck they want. They drink coffee, sometimes alcohol and Timmy even smoke once because he saw Tom Nook do it, but he hated that and never did again. Tom Nook knows they are responsible enough to handle themselves, but he's still here to protect or help them if they need him.

Tommy is a very good listener while Timmy gives great advices.

When they aren't working, they like to prank Tom Nook just to mess with him or test him. They like to switch clothes or things like that for example. Yet Tom is always one step ahead and always knows what they're up to. Little mischievous boys <3

They sometimes hang up with Celeste after closing the store since Blathers and Tom are friends. They get along well with her because of how calm and wise she is. They also like the Resident Representative more than just a client, because they're also more responsible than most people of their age (due to being in debt for Tom Nook), and Tommy has a little crush on them <3 (while Timmy is always like "Love sucks !")

They both accidentally called Tom Nook "dad" at different moment. Timmy did when Tom complimented him on his work (Literally the: "Nice work !", "Cool ! Thanks dad."). Tommy did when he was asking a innocent question like "Hey dad, why do you always look so sad ?". Tom Nook act like he didn't heard that but he was screaming internally.

They both live in Nook's Cranny. Upstairs, there's a studio for them to live (beds, kitchen, bathroom, etc.). Tom Nook comes to join them after they close to spend time with them and eventually stays there to sleep (when he's not overworked).

Timmy and Tommy are the only one who ever saw Tom cry.

They give Cuphead (Timmy) and Mugman (Tommy) from Casinoandcups vibe~~.

DO  YOU  WRITE  IN  SILENCE  OR  LISTEN  TO  MUSIC  ?   music always i CANNOT write in silence, i barely Exist in silence. usually i'll use a character playlist (stupid amount of michael ones), however if it's overstimulating and makes writing more difficult i'll loop specific songs that set the mood but i can tune out for the most part

DO  YOU  PLAN  YOUR  REPLIES  OR  WING  THEM  ?   somewhere in between? i definitely like to plot things out, ESPECIALLY with michael, however i prefer plotting that leans closer towards discussing overall dynamics or the general vibe/direction of a thread. i will not hesitate to go super in depth there. while i rotate them in my head constantly before i write the reply, i tend not to go too far discussing a Hyper Specific prompt though because then i'll avoid writing it (both because i've already discussed it so much and i end up hyping it up to the point where i've set impossible standards)
