Boży rok (The Lord's year) series, c.1907 (?):
propaganda: it's a beautiful cycle of paintings with saints for each month, and they are kinda like the personifications of the months. and the last four have the best vibes ever imo
Schronienie przed burzą (Refuge before a storm) by Paweł Merwart, 1880:
propaganda: it's cute :')
about the artist: yoo this guy apparently was sent to investigate a volcano and died bc it erupted on him. *insert "mission status: sick" meme here*

Piotr Stachiewicz (1858-1938), Andrzej Kmicic
Drawing on paper.
Finally I have found a copy of Jędruś portrait created by my beloved Piotr Stachiewicz. Perhaps, it is only my impression, but... did the artist use here the same boy as a model as in one from his images of Bohun? They both have the same mouth grimace...
Hej, kto szlachta – za Kmicicem!

Piotr Stachiewicz (b.1858 - d.1938), 'Krakowianka', pastel on paper, no date (early 1900s), Polish, sold for 2,167 GBP in Bonhams British and European Art sale, July 2019; London, England.
The sitter for this portrait appears to be Zofia Paluchowa, nicknamed "Piekna Zoska" (beautiful Zoska), considered one of the most beautiful models by painters of the time. She was a model regularly used by Stachiewicz and usually posed for artists in traditional Polish folk costumes as seen here. In 1921 she married, however her husband did not agree to her modelling for artists. Amid escalating tensions between the two, the now estranged Zofia disappeared in 1927. After a widely publicised investigation, her husband was charged with murder and sentenced to 15 years imprisonment which he would not outlive.

The Ukrainian postage stamp with an image of Ivan Bohun (c. 1618-1664), emitted by the USEP "Ukrposhta" and the Publishing House "Marka Ukrainy" in 2006, as a part of the block commemorating famous Ukrainian Cossack heroes from the 16th-18th century:
The postal envelope from the first day of its emission, 18.08.2006:
These beautiful artifacts have been designed by Ukrainian artists: Volodymyr Taran (Володимир В. Таран, b. 1960), Oleksandr & Sergiy Kharuk (Олександр та Сергій Харук, b. 1960).
The image of Bohun continues here the tradition of Mykola Arkas & Piotr Stachiewicz:
