They’ve been caught using generative ai for a handful of their blanket designs. “By independent artists” my ass. They’ve since removed the ‘in collaboration with Dalle’ from the capybara blanket btw, this is 100% intentional.

Artist Beware
DO NOT HARASS ANYONE MENTIONED! THAT IS NOT OK!
I hate making call out post and hate drama. This used to be my friend, but they have taken this way to far for my own standards. This must be done.
An artist going by the name of i-make-stuff-i-guess, has been tracing mine and other artist artwork without permission or credit. They have been labeling this art they trace as just “heavily referenced” and that is completely false. They have traced some of my older art that I have made on Instagram back from 2020-2022. Me and many others have tried to tell them to stop, only to be met with being cussed at and our comments being deleted.
They have also gone out of their way to take designs and not even change them in the slightest to at least make it their own thing. All of their Oc refs are either traced from my old work or others ( mainly my work )
Some other artist that have been affected are my friends @/17magpiesinatrenchcoat, @/scarfsfx, @/boompf, @/skytrohero and many others who would like to stay anonymous.
Yang has gone on with this for way too long and it has affected us mentally.
Again, DO NOT HARASS THEM OR ATTACK THEM!! Just report the traced work and block them.
Now, I will be taking a break for the rest of the month. My head hurts, I am beyond mad, and I am losing my will to draw. See you all in August. Please spread this around so no one else is affected by their toxic behavior.

hey jumping in to say that i was also a victim of rockerchick754, who also rebranded to unicornstitch646. at the time i made the art, i was a minor simply fanning over eric singer, and at the time she reposted the art, i was *still* a minor. she took this post and made it into some weird kiddie fetish shit and that's fucking weird!!! i never once approved of this and i never told her she could use my art. it even states on my profile to not repost my art but that means absolutely nothing to her. i confronted her about it but she blocked me and never took the post down. in conclusion, fuck rockerchick754, fuck her fetish or whatever she has going on, and fuck reposters❗️❗️

If you have posted art on deviantart, your submissions have been automatically approved for use in AI art.
At the moment, you can protect your work by:
submitting up to five keywords (names and usernames) to be excluded from AI art generation on-site to the official Google form
Manually disabling the approval for AI art generation on each individual submission. This is otherwise enabled by default and applies retroactively (old posts are automatically approved).
This absolutely sucks shit and the system should obviously be opt-in AT BEST, but at the very least please take the steps you can to protect your work.
It doesn't protect your work from third-party datasets, but it can at least protect you from deviantArt's own one.

Basically, DeviantArt is creating their own AI generator:
The best part? All your art gets OPTED IN by default. And opt-outs are per deviation, manually. I recommend checking your account (and nuking, if you don't feel like manually opting out on 100+ deviations)
Artists just can't catch a fucking break, it seems. 🤡

@hisappleofeden has gone too far this time. As far as to "fix" someone's sona, a representation of themselves, a representation as to how a non-binary demiboy wants to see themselves. Kirby just went ahead and popped some "feminine cute clothes" because that would "fix" it. And why? Because Kirby thinks that a blonde OC with space aesthetics is a copy of his oh so totally original blonde OC with a pink sweater.
This person went into a dysphoric downward spiral and almost went off the deep end. That is TWICE that Kirby has blood on his hands.
And what does he do?

Kique is letting an animal abuser move in with him and his TWO dogs?
Allegedly for now until More updates involving it, but there is too much evidence to point out that Chris may have dropped everything to go for kique.
Chris is very VERY close friends with Kique, probably chat all in DM's and if they had a thing for each other despite Chris being married, is a big red flag of an affair waiting to happen, and I believe this is not the first time either?? 🤔 and when the whole Stazz breaking up with Kique, If I recall Kique was accusing Staz for something, ( I need to check the Docs for this ). Then all of a sudden, Chris drops everything, tried to steal money and stop insurance from the Wife's mother and then NOW from all this Kique is appointing Chris to be a founder alongside Him OF HOME??!! While Chris is lying through his teeth and acting like he didn't just leave the medically, extra care pets to suffer in their own filth and waste.
He could've sent them to a pet care, or somewhere he can leave them to be looked over and just leave a message or note BUT NO, HE did the most vilest, cruelest, most idiotic thing they could've done. He didn't even have the Respect nor Curtesy to have a divorce, or communicate. He really doesn't care and just making bloody excuses to act like the victim, a literal Rogio/ Ranach in the flesh.
So, for all I know he's a married man who had a decent life, running away for some DICK and delusion of someone who can be their Sugar daddy.

PSA - This Etsy store is stealing artists’ free brushes for profit
There is a shop on Etsy called SammyArtsStudio who is taking people’s free brushes and resources, selling them for roughly AU$13.01 a pop. She has stolen the free work of amazing artists such as Devin Elle Kurtz and Attki, both of whom generously provide free brushes that are being misused for monetary gain.
According to her page, she has made 4,722 sales with 800+ reviews, most of which are five-star. Assuming all of those listings are AU$13.01, that's AU$61,386 or US$41,282 of profit. She is a five-star "star seller", meaning that her work is prioritised in the search engine.
This isn’t intended to be a call out post; it’s more of a heads up to people who create free brushsets. Only the creator of the brushes can submit an Intellectual property infringement form to stop this person from commercially benefiting from your work. Sadly, Etsy is very lax about art theft, so this is the only way to stop it. It’s apparent by the glowing reviews that thousands of well-meaning people are falling victim to this misappropriation. Please refer to Etsy’s IP Policy here.

Support the original artist and get their brushes here. Find the Youtube video shown above here.
The seller even posted a video of them “showing how to use the brushes”, which features even more proof of stolen brush usage. Get the original brushes here!
tl;dr if you make Procreate brushes, I recommend checking this Etsy to make sure that your IP isn’t being infringed upon and commercialised without your consent. She has 149 listings on Etsy. I am very appreciative of people who provide free brushes, and I’d hate to see your work being fraudulently misused.

An Artist Beware
I don't do these very often, but this is something I feel warrants a warning because this is something that could, potentially, do real harm.
Without further ado
The user in question is a person named Zoffu. (Here and on Toyhouse, as well as YCH Commishes, and I think Instagram) I am going to explain what happened, and warn others from buying from them in the future.
It started with this whole fiasco. I won an auction on an adoptable that I saw a few times and liked. It was a cute design. I enjoyed the colors, but there were a couple things I would change if I won. The bidding was at $8 so I figured might as well. I was going to redraw it or have them do edits, because it had human feet on an anthro which I don't like. I personally prefer digitigrade feet, humanoid feet just look off on anthro characters.
They refused to sell an adoptable that I won the bidding on, and THEN accused me of being a zoophile to somebody else. Why? Because I gave a code to somebody for their friend. Guy said his name was Ethan, wasn't really into the adoptable scene that much, just liked looking at the creative character designs and art.
Of course I was happy to help! I love Toyhouse, and I love buying and selling adopts! I honestly wanted to find the person and give them some characters from my sales account once the invite was used, just to get them started, when they reached out to me and told me that Zoffu LITERALLY TOLD THEM I WAS A ZOOPHILE!!!!!!! That is not ok. That is in no way ok. Baseless accusations like that can really damage a person.
He said he wanted to ask me directly because that was a big accusation, and also said that he felt I was in the right to know that this person may have been going around saying that shit about me. I wouldn't know. The fucker blocked me over some petty bullshit.
They wanted to control what you have in your gallery. Their TOS said they "check their sold designs regularly" to "Make sure you aren't breaking their TOS" and it's like. Why does it matter? When you sell something to me, it stops belonging to you, and starts belonging to me. You can't control what I did with it. It's mine. I paid you. What's stopping somebody from reselling it in the future and me getting ahold of it?
Honestly, if they want to control what happens to designs they make so badly, maybe they just shouldn't make and sell designs.
ANYWAY. The reason for this beware is that the person accused me of being a zoophile, to another person, in a way where they could easily find me. They straight up just referred me to me as "A zoophile they blocked". False accusations are extremely damaging, because a LOT of people just believe everything at face value.
Be REALLY!!!! careful when getting anything from this artist. Extremely careful. Unless, of course, you want to be accused of being a zoophile and have that accusion spread to other people who may or may not have even a very thin connection to you!
