I downloaded krita and firealpaca, but I couldn't get the brushes from FA to work for whatever reason. TS suggested I had the layer locked , but I managed to unlock the layer and it worked... for .23 seconds then stopped :/ The other alternative was uninstall and reinstall, so maybe another day I'll try that, but it seems unreliable.

Krita is promoed as being close alternative to Photo Shop which is my jam. Im enjoying the brushes and all the functions i can work with, and their ease of access through the pen. I'm still adjusting, and maybe someday... I will have some art to share. But it's a lot to acclimate to, but I am enjoying all it has to offer.

I get really bummed when I can't work on my projects and books. It's where I rejuvenate myself from professional life, but life is a hustle bustle of produce and be productive for other people.

one of the many things that annoy me the most about AI "art" is that for years, digital artists were told we were lesser than traditional artists because people had this idea that just because we wrok on a computer, we just have to press the "draw good" button and it's done. But now there's a machine that literally presses the draw button (not even "draw good") while also stealling actual work from actual people and the same idiots who insulted digital artists are calling it the future...
