“I know you are, Buck. That was never in question,” Eddie said tiredly. “I just need a second.”

“Do you…do you want me to leave?”

“No— yes— maybe?” Eddie mumbled, looking lost. “I just feel so…angry and I think I need a minute.”

“Okay,” Buck whispered, his heart shattering in his chest. “I’ll go.”

“Just— just for a bit,” Eddie whispered. “I just need to cool off.”

“I can do that.” Buck grabbed his jacket and shrugged it on. It was clear from his slow movements that he didn’t want to go, but he wanted to give Eddie the space he needed. “I’ll come back later? Or should I just go home?”

“Come back home,” Eddie said firmly, his meaning clear. Just because they were fighting didn’t mean that this wasn’t also Buck’s home.

“Okay.” Buck was relieved. They would be okay. “I’ll just go for a walk then.”

well i think buck would get all whiny and bat his eyelashes at eddie while pouting and eddie would just huff and cross his arms and refuse to budge so then buck would start poking and prodding at him and eddie would be fighting a smile which absolutely breaks through once buck starts tickling him and then eddie is laughing and yelping and trying to push buck away and then they end up just wrestling each other on the bed, trying to get into the position they want with the other fighting them and they end up breathless from the exertion and laughter and end up on their backs with no real winner and then eddie suggests flipping a coin so that's what they do

hehehehe i am not surprised you asked about this one even though I'm pretty sure you know all there is to know about this story. Buck is spiraling pretty bad after the events of 5a, but I think i might change it to being after 6b. He starts taking sleeping meds but it's not helping and he ends up dissociating hella hard and loses time and he ends up getting in the jeep and driving until the jeep breaks down in the middle of nowhere. Cue the firefam being worried sick because no one can find him and he left his phone and wallet behind. Dw they find him eventually and he gets help, but first angst y'know?

With his apartment plunged into darkness, Buck ascends the stairs to his bed. The glowing numbers on his bedside clock tells him it’s probably too early for him to be turning in for the night, but he’s tired. Deep down to his very soul, he’s exhausted.  Not bothering with any kind of night time routine, Buck strips out of his clothing down to his boxers before he climbs under the covers. He should set an alarm on his phone so he doesn’t miss his shift in the morning. Instead, he shoots Bobby a quick text saying he’s not feeling well and taking a sick day tomorrow. Then he shuts off his phone, throwing it to land somewhere in the mess of his covers before he rolls over, reaching for the bottle of pills on his nightstand. He shakes out two pink tablets into his hand before swallowing them dry. He hates it, but it’s the only thing that helps him sleep nowadays. Between one blink and the next, his head hits the pillow, almost immediately falling asleep.  Maybe tomorrow he’ll feel a little less lost, a little less hollow. Maybe a good night’s sleep is what he needs. He doesn’t believe it’s the truth for one second, but it’s a nice thought.

Well, well, well of course you chose Reckless Buck! I know you know the plot babe so here, have a snip snip

Everything he knew about safety protocols and what to do in these situations went out the window and he was pulling off his mask, securing it over the kid’s face as fast as he could.

Immediately he had coughed harshly, his lungs protesting the thick smoke that was blanketing the room. However his focus was solely on the kid and getting them out of there as quickly and safety as possible. The heat that had already seemed oppressive had only gotten worse after he’d found the kid. The stakes were higher now, so Buck steeled himself, picked up the kid— holding him securely as he walked to what he was pretty sure had been the door.

Thankfully they had made it out quickly and the next thing Buck knew, he was being surrounded by his team. Bobby took the kid from his arms, his eyes flicking over Buck’s form, assessing for injuries, before he turned his attention back to the kid. Bobby made his way over to where a distressed couple was standing near the ambulance. Buck was pretty sure those were the kid’s parents and he let out his own sigh of relief when the parents collapsed in a heap, relief pouring out of them as they held their child close. Buck knew then and there that he had made the right choice.

Im doing alright :D procrastinating hw but i Did vaccum the entire house and do some cleaning, so whos really winning??

Been switching between listening to Phils stream, checking in on Tubbo, and listening to an Etoiles geoguesser vod. I reallyyy like Etoiles geoguesser streams ^-^, they're the easiest for me to understand just bc like 90% of what he's saying is about the game itself and the wilbur streams have prepared me for this LMAOO so yeah theyre fun also calm vibes agh i love geoguesser (tho istg i would be the Absolute worst. Like THE worst idk how ppl do it dawggg)
