hello it's part 3 of 3 for my cool fun graphic design adventure!! part 1 and part 2 got too long. to recap i am recreating this t-shirt design but with the magic 8 ball songs instead of city names:

#the one on the left lived on its own canvas i just smushed it there so i don't need to have 7 million different files lol #i bought these two brush sets last week and at first i was feeling the regrets because i didn't see an immediate Good Way to use them #and they had cost me a pretty penny but they are both sooooo nice and easy on my hands...#a lot of procreate sets i've tried require so much pressure but i have very deliberately trained myself to have a feather light touch #and my fave brush was really starting to affect me #esp because i used it for sketching and lineart AND colouring #sketch #i draw sometimes #fanart #anyway i need to. remember how to draw other things now :')#Ardbert #warrior of light

#akoya gero #gero akoya #cute high earth defense club love #binan koukou chikyuu bouei bu love!#boueibu #my art #my akoya wanted to join in the vintage dress-up party too!! \;;w;;/#ognvuhgh i wanted to have this done earlier bc other people were doing art so fast for the new outfits but it got dragged out #it was Mostly done a few days ago and i made final edits and was going to post it just before i rushed out to work #i put it up then i was like '??? wait there's a color blob in the wrong place i thought i fixed that???'#i was down to my last minute and didn't have time to do it so i was like auuuughhgh and took the whole thing down #on the Next day i opened the file again to see what was wrong and the color blob was NOT THERE #so im like ??? why did it suddenly appear again in the png. so i looked and i made an error in naming my files #i accidentally named one of the versions 30 instead of 03 so it sorted into the last place instead of the actual most recent version (07)#so that is the reason i ended up being 1 minute late to work. and the lesson to me is i should not try to post at the absolute last minute #(i say this but if i don't get smth done i can't stop thinking about it. it bothers me constantly to have something almost finished but not #(and then it's difficult for me to focus on other tasks so this is why i feel like i have to just get it done before i switch tasks)#anyway i wasn't totally sure what era the traditional outfits are supposed to be from. im not knowledgeable about fashion actually T.T #i googled 'when were suspenders popular' and ended up just looking at old photos and clothing patterns from the 30s-40s #photos from back then were black-and-white can you believe it.. you have to actually look at drawings and paintings to find color #everyone who left me messages elsewhere: THANK YOU SO MUCH!! \>/////</ i will reply soon!! \;;W;;/

does anyone remember when team salvato had that “for fans by fans” fanart merch contest, but like it had a backstory that monika “wasn’t allowed to participate” cause “she always wins and it would be unfair :(” but like all images of her and mentions of her name were glitched out, and in the background of the promo art there was a piece of paper with her poem “Hole in Wall” mostly erased (and not even in her font asset, just in the neutral/MC handwriting font) so all signs pointed to monika’s file being deleted

but then literally none of that was ever directly acknowledged in the posts or the merch for the contest, or in ddlc+ lore, or on other posts from team salvato’s twitter or monika’s twitter account? so, though it probably wasn’t intended to be lore to begin with, we never got any context for it, even within the constraints of the “backstory” for this specific contest?

#ddlc #original post #silly post but this is one of the ddlc things that lives in my head rent free #that and the anniversary stream from the same year with the fanmade mod #i forgot what it was called #brain blanking #i miss back in 2020 when team Salvato was trying to generate excitement for ddlc+ so ddl #*ddlc got a bunch of internet content and like a big celebration for the anniversary #but also cause. that’s around the time I got into the game and entered the fandom. so I was spoiled as a new fan #and now I am left to my own devices to generate content…and also fan content of course #anyway. i don’t actually know what to make of that whole contest thing #and any possible lore implications #so I’m just making this post where I go ‘damn that was crazy’#i still kinda like the idea that. the girls didn’t do anything to Monika. she just did that for attention #and they were like. ok. fake your death then whatever #we’re still not letting you win #or that’s what happens when Monika doesn’t get enough attention. like tinker bell #OR the more actual lore MatPat esque theory #that Monika’s file was ‘gone’ because she somehow escaped #and the other girls were covering for her with the contest and the explanation that ‘ohh well we didn’t want her to win so…yeah…’#TWITCH WRITES that’s the other thing I was thinking of #and btw. i wrote the end of this post like that on purpose. :3

Not me creeping up to the wordcount of the fourth longest book ever written

#A Reflection of Starlight #AROS #valvert #fanfic #writing #Hey I switched back to LibreOffice again after setting up my new computer #(RIP my old computer's installation of MS Office 2009)#And also my old computer in general as it is now giving me the blue screen of death upon boot #but ANYWAY #does anybody know how to make LibreOffice stop highlighting formatted areas? BC with Dark Mode it's highlighting white text #which makes it impossible to read my footnote and page numbers #Also I CANNOT believe this program was coded to be so that 'Ignore' and 'Ignore All' options only do so for the CURRENT SESSION ONLY #Like what in god's name???#I spent 3-4 hours reformatting AROS after converting it only to learn that all the 'errors' I told it to ignore just popped back #the second I reopened the document like jesus christ #Why even offer those options if it doesn't do it permanently for that document file #HHHHHHHhhhhhhHHHHHH #I then spent another several hours being forced to change the language formatting to French for all the French bits #JUST so it would stop underlining all of them in red #And there's no way for me to get rid of the underlining on things like cut off bits of dialogue #bc they are NOT proper words and I refuse to add them to my Dictionary (thus polluting it) just to get rid of them #Ugh #So anyway remember years ago how I joked about what if I accidentally wrote a fanfic longer than the source material itself #That being one of the longest books ever written (technically THE longest book ever written #if we're counting the FRENCH version of it and not the English translation #And yeah I know I technically split AROS into 3 books but that was only for reader convenience #It's still one book in my heart #And also because I think it would be REALLY funny to surpass Hugo's wordcount #Which is entirely plausible bc in English it was only about 531k so I only a little over 100k off and I think I can easily make that #with the material I have left to write but is already mostly plotted out

anon who asked about chasind headcanons, i am not ignoring you, that is actually step 3 of my current project:

gather all chasind lore in existence

organise it into something coherent

fill in the gaps

unfortunately i have been on step 1 for about 2 weeks and it is currently a 130 page document and will still take a while to finish

but i am getting there!!! and i have formed many headcanons in the process about all kinds of things

#personal #da #don’t get excited about 130 pages of chasind lore. that’s not actually what it is #i’ve included anything on the avvar and the early alamarri and clayne #and the largest category is obviously the avvar (esp from dai)#but it’s coming along #i’m currently going through game dialogue which i was Dreading but it’s not too bad #i’m not gonna do da2 because i would have to go through each file and map the individual lines. nope!#just gonna go through some of mota (cahir is chasind) and ctrl-f through the talktable for the rest of the game #and i’m considering skipping dai altogether because……like when tf would the chasind be mentioned. bioware forgot they exist in dai #they get one codex entry for the skyhold decorations and that’s it #even the fallow mire has avvar instead even tho it’s BASICALLY IN CHASIND TERRITORY #devastating that so many of the avvar files are labeled chasind. like they were gonna be there and then they got replaced #look i don’t dislike the avvar at all but they are very much the favourite child and i resent that #anyway. all i have left is some other in-game text (quests mostly; which aren’t gonna give me much)#(i’ve already done codex entries and notes and item descriptions)#and a few things that i’ve skipped because i was getting sick of them: two avvar-related ttrpg adventures (where eagles lair & buried pasts)#and one novel (the calling. also something that has avvar stuff rather than chasind stuff)#where eagles lair is the most important one of those to actually go through because it goes in-depth on avvar culture #and since there’s very little actual chasind lore i’m basing some ideas on avvar stuff because they evolved from the same culture

uhhh yeah another tmnt oc.. HOWEVER!! he's got his own iteration!

Nobody / Poppy Draxum / T-01 / Red somewhere in his early 30's. who knows. not him! unlabelled gender and aroace - he/him or any/all 7'8" he's a combination of a few different turtle types due to a few separate mutations he was given past the initial one: spiny softshell (original) alligator snapping turtle yellow bellied slider four-eyed turtle

anyways yeah! he's got his own iteration which is. A lot. erm and by "a lot" i mean it's a lot of heavy themes. like one of the biggest warnings i can give is that there are multiple different instances of cannibalism in it! yay!

if you wanna know more abt him here's his Art Fight Page which has his lore that im slowly adding to overtime when i feel like remembering it's there (and also when i figure out more of it) it goes pretty in depth so far and tbh i'll probably end up moving it to a post here when its done ^^;

Quick rundown though:

he was raised for a few years by Yoshi Hamato (who did not name him) before being given to Baxter Stockman (who called him T-01)

(much) later on was found by, and raised, by Baron Draxum (who later helped him name himself Poppy)

all 3 of her siblings are dead (order of death? sure! Violet, then Orange, then Blue)

he was the youngest of his siblings

Alopex and Usagi exist, but no Karai (..unless i decide to add her later!)

by the current point in time Stockman, Yoshi, Shredder, Usagi, and Draxum are all dead

there is currently no Casey Jones or April for his iteration, but I do have plans to figure out how to add them in!

he mostly goes by Nobody now

he's got weird interdimensional powers! why? uhm because i super fucked him up okay? his trauma is so bad that he did some science and it Ruined him haha :)

for real though he's got time and space powers due to science project gone right in the wrong way

and while im here, him and his siblings when they were younger

Red / Poppy / T-01 / he/any / spiny softshell turtle / youngest

slept like 15 hours, which is great, but also (seemingly) spent that entire time having one long, incredibly vivid nightmare, which is. not so great

#and the thing abt nightmares is that they stick around #even tho im awake now. i know im awake now. i still feel like im there #or i guess more specifically i still feel like the things that were true in the nightmare are still true here #namely: that i had a stage 4 brain tumour and had been given weeks to live #which. i get _why_ thats what i dreamed abt #id been looking up my recent symptoms and a brain tumour was mentioned as a potential cause uhhh multiple times #not that i actually think i have a brain tumour #i dont #but still #i guess my brain held onto it #its dumb cause most of my nightmares are simple straightforward shit like someone's chasing me n trying to kill me or w/e #or theres some apocalyptic disaster #things that suck in the dream but that are usually p easy to “leave behind” once i wake up #like i know no one's chasing me anymore bc im lying in bed not running around or hiding or w/e i was doing in the dream #but this one was so. normal #i was on _discord_#i had to tell my _friends_#my brain keeps trying to file it away as a waking-world memory instead of a dream-world one #not to mention it clearly wants to pick up where it left off #like no. you dont have to tell me what wouldve happened next. you dont have to remind me of how i felt in the dream #_it didnt happen_#anyway #glad i got so much sleep at least

i think my favorite gate of whimsy bizarre room is probably the phantomart one solely because hailey can also get it which means that you can get some pretty good items as her since you can buy stuff normally. but also because jibanyan still rides in the cart. best oversight i think-

#puppy rambles #yo-kai watch #yw3 #this playthrough i've just gotten boring gates of whimsy. and also an expert room where i fought unkaind once #had all my yo-kai oneshot and then promptly left #10/10 would recommend- /j #i just wanna match the comedy of my last playthrough where during one of the parts in nate's story where buck follows you on the overworld #i went into a gate of whimsy. greatly amusing to me. normal bestie activities #i don't know why it's so funny to me but it is. but i have shit gate of whimsy luck honestly 😔#i've found more as hailey than as nate. gate globes are literally useless as hailey and i'm not at chapter 6 yet-#tbh wouldn't be surprised if chapter 5 takes me all day. grumbler's grotto sucks #n hailey's chapter 5 is hard. it's fun but it's also hard #you have to fight meganyan and doctor maddiman in the same chapter. and there's a third key quest but i don't remember it rn-#oh god that's when you can start the pop star photo quest too isn't it. hell #in my first save files i only have two left i'm pretty sure and idk which ones i've found so guides aren't helpful 😔#anyways. haven't even played 3 yet today i'm just hyperfixating <3

been thinking about the new pkmn legends taking place in kalos (especially in lumiose which btw brought so much memories of that place. its a maze. and i just remembered how i used the outer ring just so ik where im going into the inners of the city itself 😭)

the more i also had been thinking about risa darrell, my pkmn oc i had since pkmn xy came out. formerly lorissa but now they're Risa, and if i had keep playing as them to this day, they would be a married former champion who takes pokemon racing with tyrant their tyrantrum along with their wife- helga who is a photographer journalist. yes helga doesn't change her name other than, slapping galar as her birth place wheezes

anyway. thinking about risa's family actually, 'cause afaik risa moved to kalos was bc its where risa's mom's family lives in. the only reason for this was bc the old lorissa design i had? i gave that design to risa's mom which had made risa... uhhh their dad is kanto-hoenian and her mom's kalosian but they met and lived in sinnoh which is where risa had met helga there as kids but then moved away to kalos when risa's dad get a job transfer.

therefore. i guess. risa's grandma? grandparent? great-grandparent? could potentially had involved in helping with the city. who knows-
