CARRION EATER
this is some kind of standalone idea. the original version was much more goofy, crassus was going to cover up pompey's mouth and say, 'no, no. he's got a point. let him speak,' and then pompey was going to bite his hand and say, 'you're not even supposed to BE here.'
then I read a review about a staging of julius caesar that sounded like it got REALLY mean (because it involved improv since it seemed like the intention was supposed to be interactive with the audience) and decided to add some teeth into it.
(also yes, I broke the 180 rule. it’s fine. usually I try to include panels that show characters walking around when I do that, but this comic was a standalone, so instead pretend that I’m spinning the theoretical cameraman around on an office chair or something. or that the camera is a ghost.)
also because titling something Carrion Eater and then NOT having it get a little mean and nasty in the dialogue seemed. like a waste.
eventually, I'll figure out a design for lucullus that I like, I keep wanting to draw other characters when I draw him, so he might need a new hairstyle.
ONWARDS! this is playing off of this scene
To this Lucullus retorted that Pompey was going forth to fight an image and shadow of war, following his custom of alighting, like a lazy carrion-bird, on bodies that others had killed, and tearing to pieces the scattered remnants of wars. For it was in this way that he had appropriated to himself the victories over Sertorius, Lepidus, and the followers of Spartacus, although they had actually been won by Metellus, Catulus, and Crassus. Therefore it was no wonder that he was trying to usurp the glory of the Pontic and Armenian wars, a man who contrived to thrust himself in some way or other into the honour of a triumph for defeating runaway slaves.
Plutarch, Pompey 31
the romans are fightingggggg 🍿🍿🍿
finally, the painting panel is taken from Giovanni Battista Tiepolo's The Triumph of Marius (through the Met's Open Access/Public Domain use policy etc)

ID: Digital drawing of the Wyatts Mason (and Quitter) from Blaseball, in three connected parts. The first shows the original reaching out to the Microphone, surrounded by Immateria and a dark void closing in on them. The second shows those who went Static (I, II, III, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, XI, XII, XIII, and Quitter), mostly obscured except for their eyes. Quitter is in the center, holding the Strength tarot card representing the Tokyo Lift. The Microphone cable weaves around them. The third shows the survivors (IV and X), who have gone Rogue. They are leaning outward and holding a ball and bat respectively, both of which are on fire. The Microphone cable loops around one of their arms, then makes a larger loop on the ground before continuing. This section of the cable is also on fire. End ID.

Artsy Fartsy - Vintage Simlish Prints
me? doing more silly wall art? shocking! unprecedented! ground-breaking! anyway asdfghgfds all joking aside, it's finally done and i'm really happy to share it with you all!!
I found a bunch of free-to-use vintage prints, and thought, 'hey, i want these in my game'. So I cleaned each picture up, removed the text and replaced it with Simlish. There are framed and unframed versions for each print, and all the framed ones come with 6 different frame colours for each print (there's....a LOT of total swatches. like a lot a lot. warning you now lmao). I'm also sharing PNGs of the edited pics themselves, for you to use however you want lmao.
@maxismatchccworld @emilyccfinds @mmfinds @maxismatch @mmoutfitters
Anyway, previews, details and downloads under the cut!
A small preview of some of the prints

Animals
12 unframed swatches, 72 framed swatches
Fish
26 unframed swatches, 156 framed swatches
Plants
18 unframed swatches, 108 framed swatches

Optional zip folder containing all prints - feel free to use however you want, but credit is always appreciated! (and if you do make anything with them, DON'T PAYWALL IT) is available here (Dropbox): 100% free, just couldn't upload such a large folder to Patreon or SFS!
Anyway, I think that's all the info...sorry for such a huge post lmao. I really wanted to do more frame colours, but I quickly realised even with just the 6, the swatch count was getting ridiculous. Anyway, I actually really, really enjoyed cleaning up the images and removing the text to make way for the Simlish, even if i did belatedly realise that in-game they're so small you probably won't even notice anyway but asdfghjhgfdsa. I really hope you enjoy these!

when i said i was gonna upload “this weekend”, i meant 2 weeks from then. 👀 anyways, i finally got around to fixing and correcting some issues with these bad bois. if you’re using older versions of my resized piercings, i encourage you to delete those and replace them with these instead lmao.
- these piercings ARE NOT base game compatible. they are resized OVERRIDES from the following packs:
discover university (EP08)
eco living (EP09)
werewolves game pack (GP12)
fashion street kit (SP24)
- fem and masc frames are included
- all left and right versions are included
- they may differ in appearance depending on slider/preset usage, so clipping is expected on very exaggerated facial features
- i also tried my best to match the metallic swatches across each pack (not sure why ea didn’t do that but ok)
- speculars are also slightly edited to match a bit better (again ea why)
- i think that’s everything lol if you have any issues or questions please let me know!~
