I find it odd how some swifties like Olivia when she has yet to put one original song on her albums that doesn't contain the same melody as another already successful musician. Not only that but, the fact that she thinks she can get away with doing it without being called out for it. We're talking about a girl who stole from Taylor and then got mad that Taylor rightfully wanted credit for it. And then there's the fact that when her first album came out, she was perfectly fine with Sabrina and Joshua Basset getting hate due to HER songs. Olivia is not the "feminist" or girl's girl y'all think she is.

You know, I really think the people who started the “Gracie Abrams is Lacy” theory are just hardcore livies who don’t want to admit it’s Sabrina Carpenter and that Olivia is obsessed with her and has been for a while.

Livies insisted that the “blonde girl” line in drivers license couldn’t be about Sabrina because the line was originally brunette (my thoughts on the switch in lyrics is a whole different post), but still sent her hate cause she dated a guy Olivia liked. Cause if they admit that it’s about Sabrina, they have to admit that Olivia let her jealousy tear another woman down, and because most of the hardcore toxic livies think in absolutes, it would destroy the idea that she’s “the good one.”

Also, Olivia and Gracie performed together, which means they’re probably on friendly terms. Believing Lacy is about Gracie makes the stalking lines a lot less menacing than they are if they reference Sabrina Carpenter, who she clearly has issues with and only responded with “I don’t even know her” when a reporter asked for a response to her fans sending Sabrina death threats. Another thing that livies can’t handle because it destroys the image Olivia tries to maintain as the perpetual victim.

The only support I’ve seen for Gracie being Lacy is the ribbons and that she got what she wanted (presumably performing with Taylor Swift), but Sabrina Carpenter has both those, too, plus she’s done the Bardot photoshoot, dated Joshua Basset (another thing Olivia wanted), a perfume line, the missing “s” in the lyric video, and being a “starlet,” which makes most people think movies/Hollywood, while Gracie’s only been in two music videos.

Anyway, toxic livies spent so much time and energy saying “it’s not even about Sabrina” with drivers license that now that Olivia’s released another song that clearly is about her and has the potential to result in more death threats being sent her way, they know they look like hypocrites and assholes, and they can’t handle it.

Ok so this is kinda of old news but there was a resurgence after the grammys, basically olivia rodrigo dropped her music and people created drama saying that it was about joshua and Sabrina Carpenter. Livies (Olivia's fans) decided to be horrible toward them both and make up stuff and send them death threats... they decided to sl*t shamed sabrina carpenter and send hate to the point where she had to turn off her Instagram comments. And then with joshua bassett... it was just horrible, he came out and people either said he was queerbaiting or decidedto be homophobic, he spoke up about his childhood sexual abuse and people decided to mock him for it. He spoke about how he was hospitalized because of the enormous amount of hate and toxicity and people decided to mock! Him! For! It! All because this irresponsible girl decided to release an album. All of this happened and olivia sat there and profited of their suffering.

I haven't seen a lot of people talk about this but I think it's alarming how Olivia is a grown ass adult, yet she's still making albums about teen angst. And when you look at her peers or people she used to like, like Sabrina or even Taylor. They weren't making songs about their teenage years at 21. You can see the maturity level in their music, where as with Olivia, you can't see any maturity or growth. It's almost as if she still wants to be a teenager.

finally someone falling out Olivia Rodrigo. There's an interview where she laughs at the idea of her fans doing death threats and says quote "that's none of my concern", everything she does is plagiarized (and her team threaten to sue a kpop artist for copying her, hypocrite), there's a video compilation of her misusing AAVE, and so on... like whatever TS was like at 20 Olivia is definitely worse

I’m gonna take a guess and assume it’s about this post since it’s the only thing I’ve posted about her recently, so I find it concerning that you seem to think not liking someone = thinking they deserve to be abused and exploited.

I don’t like Olivia Rodrigo, and I’ve detailed why in posts that are appropriately placed under the anti tag, but don’t confuse genuine concerns about her character with blind malice. If you can’t separate the two, maybe you need to reevaluate your fan experience.
