Dude I'm just going to stop fucking masking if people keep looking at me like I'm a homeless creep when I wear one. It's literally not my fault I have dark skin, don't want my ears to freeze off, am trying to survive the COVID wave without causing myself more respiratory issues, and my thickest winter coat is dark green. I've been able to avoid flak the rest of the year by wearing a wide-brimmed sun hat with the mask and masquerade as some kind of pseudo-goth but that's not an option in a New England winter. Anti-maskers DNI I'm just pissed off, and white pro-maskers or poc pro-maskers from anywhere that doesn't suffer freezing winters also DNI unless you're willing to drop the "but" at the end of "yeah that was wrong of them".

Well I forgot anti-maskers existed and I certainly thought they'd given up.
So I saw a lot of anti-maskers saying that "this virus is small so it'll go through your mask!"
Would you like a fancy ass respiratory mask? I don't think so. Also, tell me why I didn't get COVID ONCE during the pandemic, despite interacting with people who had COVID at the time, but when I stopped wearing a mask, in 2022, I got COVID. So is it just by chance? I mean yeah, anything bad can happen even with as many precautions as you'd like, but not taking those precautions at all would endanger you more.
So yeah, end of the story, anti-maskers, dni you're fucking stupid, go back to kindergarten :)

Having mask mandates back on is going to drive me absolutely crazy!!! The mandate itself doesn't make a difference to me because I'll always wear a mask regardless, but working at a job with already really strict mask policies when there is a mask mandate is for real worse than dealing with a dozen screaming toddlers. I forgot how fucking much of a toll it takes on my mental health to deal with grown adults screaming and cursing at me for enforcing rules at my fucking job. Had a dude spit on me once! I've had people grab things off the shelf and throw them at me!! Sometimes people just straight up grab handfuls of shit and run out the door with it!! Just now I told a dude he needs to wear a mask in our store and he legit screamed at the top of his lungs "THIS IS BULLSHIT", stormed out and I watched him on the cctv almost hit a fucking pedestrian because of the way he peeled out of the parking lot. It's not fair that I'm expected to just fucking deal with this shit. It's for real driving me crazy.
