WIP WEDNESDAY
@anotherwellkeptsecret was kind enough to make me a stunning illustration for the upcoming chapter of Chemistry. Posting it with a little snippet of what's to come in Chapter 14:
They were both scared, and neither had to go through it alone anymore.
Be not afraid. “I love you,” he whispered, feeling his lips and tongue make the shape of those words for the very first time. ‘It feels loved… I’m astonished you can’t feel it’. Had he said that out of spite, or hope? Perhaps both.
“Right. Good.” Crowley closed his eyes. The noise he made was such a stereotypical sigh of relief– ‘Phew’– that Aziraphale almost laughed, but bit his lip because he suspected it was a genuine reaction.
“I’m sorry I didn’t–”
Crowely shook his head minutely. Aziraphale remembered being shushed at the airbase (“I was technically on apple tree duty…”). When Crowley's eyes opened, there was a sheen to them.
Aziraphale smiled at him. Crowley scowled. “‘M fine,” he said, and rubbed the inside of his wrist across his cheeks. “Don’t say anything.”
“Not a word.”

This art is for the story Caramel Delight, a sweet three chapter meet-cute.
After years of enduring hellish neighbours, Crowley is delighted when they finally move out, and even more delighted when their replacement is easy going, friendly, doesn’t leave his bins on the kerb for weeks, and… attractive in a way that causes a fluttering in Crowley’s midsection like a battalion of butterflies attempting to form ranks.
Crowley knows that hooking up with somebody who lives right next door to him is a Bad Idea. But a jar of his Nan’s famous caramel sauce as a ‘welcome to the neighbourhood’ gesture couldn’t hurt. And what’s he supposed to do when Aziraphale continues to show up at Crowley’s door with an irresistible smile, asking for more?

I could do a comic solely on my own, however, my disabilities would make the initial start nearly impossible to do right now. One page would probably take me maybe 6 months from start to finish. Being able to trust Kelly with the vision (not to mention her skill with expression which I struggle with immensely) and do the sketches for me has helped a lot. Kelly is a friggin Saint, btw. (Go look at her stuff!)
I’m still fooling around with it and as the comics go on it will eventually morph more into my personal style as I get more comfortable. Although, some of the character designs I’ve got rather attached to. Like check out this redesign on my vamp, Bou!

All the way back in July (she finished on my birthday!) I commissioned @anotherwellkeptsecret for a scene in mine and @theladydrgn's current fic you know i'll never be lonely (you're my only one). Funnily enough, we hadn't even fully written the scene by then 🤣 But we already knew what was in store and, just, I wanted to see everyone at this moment where Warlock officially accepts that Aziraphale really isn't going anywhere 💖

I did a list like this 7 years ago and was curious whether the statistics had changed. Short answer: yes. All but one of these recs were made after that last list. I'm not sure what that means, as I would have expected older recs to get more notes just because they've been around longer. First Fic!
Finally, after years of consuming Sherlock fanfics and fighting my writer's block, the spell was broken by the magical help of @totallysilvergirl (who was also generous enough to be my beta reader) and some of my fandom friends. I could finish a simple, short story and hope it can help with eventually finishing a couple of WIPs I had for years.
I finished the fic for the 2023 holiday gift exchange in a private discord server.Especial thanks to @aljedd, @deducibleholmes , @4thelneyj0nes, and other dear fan buddies for all the love and wonderful ideas.

Hi, it's me again! I did a sex-averse friendly Good Omens post a bit ago, and thought I might follow up with a Sherlock one! Ta-da!!!!
Look, I want all of you to know: THIS WAS TECHNOLOGICALLY WAY MORE CHALLENGING THAN I WAS PREPARED FOR. It might just be that I'm getting old. And I'm still not sure I've done it entirely correctly, since I cannot locate the book by searching Amazon, Idk. But Amazon claims you can pre-order Book 1 of Swan Reunion Tour: Trick Up Your Sleeve, in both Kindle and paperback format!
Is this the same story available on AO3? Not quite! It's been edited! Actually, I added quite a bit to expand and fix the love story, now that I knew what it was actually about oops lol. So I suppose you can consider this to contain bonus content. I did, however, have to take out a couple of characters (sorry, Adam and Bach, it was just too crowded a canvas). But, other than that, it should be pretty recognizable as the beginning of the story we all know and love. If you want to see a little bit of how it's different, though: I posted a little preview on my Ainsley North Tumblr, and you'll see that now, per the recommendation of my very smart editor friend, the story starts with a little bit of Matt, just so you know he's coming. ;-)
I want to particularly think @anotherwellkeptsecret for the cover. ISN'T IT AWESOME?????? I love it soooo much, I cannot even deal with it.
Now, I'm honestly very proud of myself and now I have to get started to do it all over again with Book 2 lolololololol
