This was so epically awful! It's hard to believe it exists!
1.) Totally 80's Irene Adler. Don't ask me why.
2.) An even sluttier Watson waistcoat to put Asylum Watson's waistcoat to shame!
3.) A Holmes one doubts constantly. Maybe instead of a mind palace ... he has a mind bouncy castle??? 🤔😄
4.) Sadly, no drag. Not even once.
My holmes bingo card was filled mostly by irony than actual presence in the film. I totally should have saved it for posterity.
Conclusion: Poor Patrick Macnee!!!

I've always privately made fun of Watson for his apparent inability to focus on anything that isn't Holmes. If all the attention to detail that he has when studying Holmes was directed at the crime scene - rather than Holmes' reaction to the crime scene, client, etc. - Watson would make a good detective himself.
But since I started watching Granada Holmes I have to take that back given that so often I can't follow what's going on because I'm just mesmerized by the way Jeremy Brett moves and can't pay attention to anything else. I'm not listening to what this witness is saying, I'm looking at Jeremy's micro facial expressions in reaction to it. I didn't notice the rest of the room, I was looking at the way Jeremy moves his hands and swirls around and touches the furniture and walks and tilts his head and crawls on the floor and sniffs cigarette butts and

I'm slow, okay?
After years and years, it occurred to me that I could change my blog name to reflect my AO3 handle along with my solarmamatude. Kind people here reference my fics sometimes, and I very occasionally summon the chutzpah to self-promote; and in all of those instances I have to add 'I'm PlantsAreNeat' in the post or the tags.
Well no more! Introducing the new blog name!

Seems to make sense, since Tumblr for me is all about fandom, and my biggest (still very small) contribution to fandom is on AO3.
