and omg Pete read Inverno!! I have not read Inverno hahaha but I had never even heard of it until today, when I was flipping through a magazine and there was an entire interview with the author about the book and I ended up reading the whole interview and thinking, That does not sound like a book I would enjoy, and then I moved on with my life. And OF COURSE Pete just read it, his taste in books is so much to deal with. (And yes, he's right about the confusing narrative, the author is primarily a poet and the book sounds like it's a very not-linear book. But of course Pete would pick up a book by a poet.)

Every time I go to New York City, I notice the dogs, all chill and co-existing together, and I think how my dog would never be able to survive in New York City.

Like twice a year or so, Spotify's Shuffle feature suddenly gets into its head that it wants to play me "Young & Menace" once every four or five songs and I fully support this programming. It's like, I think maybe you forgot the genius of this song, let's play it more, and you know what? It's always right, I should always be playing "Young & Menace" more.

Today I was driving behind one of those big white van-truck things and the back windows had a black tarp draped across them so you couldn't see in and I feel like that was definitely a Murder Vehicle.

“No,” Patrick said. “I have no interest in acquiring one, either. Pete’s asked me about it. Generally he goes to gather useful gossip about his business interests, which I have an embarrassing dearth of business interests to concern myself with. The only other purpose for going to a club would be to hear gossip about myself, and I shouldn’t want to do that.”

“I don’t see why not,” Megan said. “I would love to hear gossip about myself. I’ve never been considered interesting enough to gossip about.” She heaved a pensive sigh over her embroidery.
