All you ever wanted as a young child was to be a strong, well-respected sorcerer. Standing one day shoulder-to-shoulder as the leading family representative with others worthy to serve as pillars meant to support and maintain balance in the jujutsu world. But being born as a woman in a conservative, patriarchal society still stubbornly stuck in its outdated ways makes that simple goal seem damn near impossible. It especially doesn't help to live in the same timeline as Satoru Gojo, modern-day's mightiest of them all. The legendary Six Eyes wielder just so happens to be a fellow classmate, friends with a friend's friend, and the bane of your entire existence. But similar to your cursed technique, when unpredictable lightning strikes, every pivotal moment that's sure to follow could uproot the very structure of a world that desperately needs changed. Your fate continuously seems to intertwine with Satoru, whose life goal may not be so different from yours.

This series plans to cover 8 main parts, an 18+ epilogue, and an additional bonus at the end. Warnings will be listed with each chapter that's posted. The last main chapter will probably feature smut and as this account is already considered 18+, minors please do not interact! Finally, the plot follows the canon manga (with a few deviations) until it suddenly doesn't for obvious reasons, but please beware of some major spoilers!!

Chapter 1 — Chaos is Likely to Ensue

It's 2004. You are a first-year at the Tokyo branch of Jujutsu High. So is Satoru Gojo, the bane of your existence. You hate each other's guts, so the only reason you'd ever kiss one another would be in an alternate universe, right?

Chapter 2 — Heartbeats Race a Little Faster

A return to Jujutsu High for Winter Break somehow also means celebrating the strongest sorcerer's 19th birthday. As the #1 Satoru Gojo hater, you have to be there, of course — if only to stir up some good old chaos!

Chapter 3 — Eyes Linger on the Afterimage Before It Fades

Nearly 10 years after meeting Satoru Gojo as a first-year, you're still stuck dealing with him existing somewhere in your vicinity. But college is ending, you're going back… home, and real life is just beginning. Things couldn't be any better when it's the calm before the storm.

Chapter 4 — Fractal Scars Sear Into Tender Flesh

December 24, 2017. A date jujutsu society will forever remember as the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons — a cursed terrorist attack on the cities of Kyoto and Shinjuku. Its orchestrator, a face much too familiar for comfort, dreams of a perfect reality without non-sorcerers and curses.

Chapter 5 — Thunder Follows With a Quiet Rumble

The aftermath of the attack results in employment at the school you once attended. Under the guise of needing a teacher for future third-years, Masamichi Yaga offers a deal to protect you from the Higher-Ups. The mastermind behind it all is none other than the bane of your existence and you must unwillingly put up with him, the ghosts of your past, and those you left behind.

Chapter 6 — The Sky Weeps in Her Torrential Mourning

On October 31, 2018 at 9:26 pm in Shibuya — Satoru Gojo is sealed. Losing the world's strongest sorcerer becomes instantly noticeable and lowers morale, especially when those dear to you fall one by one.

Chapter 7 — A Phoenix Rises From the Ashes

"They've revoked Yuji Itadori's death sentence and appointed me as his immediate executioner." As if things couldn't get any worse after Satoru Gojo's exiled and the removal of his seal is now considered a criminal act, the death penalty executed by a special grade is coming for anyone associated with the most powerful sorcerer in 400 years.

Chapter 8 — The World Pauses to Watch, Holds Its Breath, and Counts

No one ever told you a lethal battle royale is all it would take to come to terms with your family ties and cursed technique. After trusting the students in the Culling Games, it's your turn to step up and face the strongest jujutsu sorcerer from a thousand years ago. Armed with newfound confidence, can you succeed before he annihilates his competition?

Time for another Fanfic Friday!

Let's get the obligatory self-promo out of the way: Monday night, just before bedtime, I finally posted Chapter 2 of my bizarre little gay pirates arranged marriage ancient-world-inspired AU From the Firmament. I get if you don't trust WIPs, or don't think it's for you, and I'll be the first to tell you it's unusual. But if you find your curiosity piqued at all, maybe you should give it a whirl? If being in the OFMD fandom has taught me anything, it's that even things that are certifiably Not Your Thing can surprise the hell out of you.

Onto the recs (including one that absolutely wasn't My Thing and a non-OFMD rec)! Here's what I've been reading lately:

1) Of the AUs that should be "definitely Not My Thing", Wanna Fly Away is probably the least My Thing I've encountered. It absolutely, positively should not be something I'd ever consider reading, no matter how much I trust @petrichorca not to lead me astray. Monsterfucking? Nope, absolutely not for me, but blessings upon all who enjoy it. And Animorphs? I mean really, Animorphs???

So anyway I'm on Chapter 9 now, although I'll admit to having skimmed the final chapter many moons ago out of curiosity. I do that sometimes because I'm generally spoiler agnostic and sometimes I need to know ahead of time if a certain story will leave me existentially devastated. Jury's still out tbh! Crucially though, even after skimming the last chapter, I didn't start reading. What actually got me to read the fic proper was this separate one-shot that looked at Stede's character before leaving his life behind. That reminded me in a lot of ways of this pre-canon fic I've long appreciated, and that sealed the deal.

2) Next, for something ENTIRELY in the canon universe, I've been following the gentle, meditative innkeepers-era fic The Waters Around You by eimeo (not sure if they're on tumblr) and it's made for really rewarding reading. There's still plenty of work our boys need to do, but for once they actually have time to do it!

3) I've also been trying to catch up on my OMG THEY'RE ✨BOYFRIENDS✨ fics and one I heartily recommend is Tenderly the Light by the one and only @darcylindbergh, which perfectly captures that effervescent feeling you know they both had during the boyfriends scene while also not forgetting that they have to go out there and escape the British while also just being so full of LIFE. Pitch perfect.

4) Next up is the recently reposted Powder Blue by @scarrletmoon. It's a modern AU which I missed the first time around because I wasn't in the fandom yet (if such a time ever existed). Heed the tags going in, but if you're like me and heard so much about it after it got taken down, you'll absolutely want to check it out now. In particular, I love how like, grounded I feel inside Ed as a character, and how the in-world power dynamics replicate for a reader how Stede's specific brand of inscrutability would have felt to Canon Ed, who doesn't have the benefit of knowing how Stede feels. There's that little bit of distance there that just makes everything a bit more...more, I guess.

5) Lastly, for those of us anxiously awaiting the latest update to @moonyinpisces's phenomenal GO fix-it How Do We Turn On The Light (brb refreshing my email again), I want to recommend Talk to Me of Things to Come by Atsuki, which visits Crowley and Aziraphale on New Years Eve, 1988. It's flirty and sweet (although I definitely would not call it "fluff") and has some S-tier Aziraphale pining if you're into that. Not even sure how I found it tbh but I must have been throwing GO fics at the void where Chapter 16 of HDWTOTL waits to melt our collective minds.

His Magic

|Hello everyone. I got this idea from several artist I follow posting non-genshin art. It got me thinking about this. This will be an au that involves witches and familiars. Modern technology does exist but is ran by magic instead of electricity. If you want more from this au feel free to send in an ask for hcs with certain characters or for me to write for a character in this au, or just more information in general. As I always say feel free to change the pronouns to match your own. I hope you enjoy and have a lovely day or or night.

Scenario: In a world of magic there are witches beings with the ability to possess magic. Witches tend to have a familiar a life long companion who is there to help and protect them. Familiars have two forms a human form and an animal form. They have a soulmate connection with the witch they are supposed to be with. When a familiar pact is formed with a witch the familiar, if the witch is their destined one the familiar will be able to feel the witches heart beat.

Cyno, Kazuha, and Tighnari(Separately) x a Gender Neutral Reader.

Warnings: mild angst, minor spoiler(?) and super long.|

Cyno (familiar):

Cyno had grown up with a witch they were his best friend and one of the most important people in his life. He was a familiar and had hoped for awhile that (Name) would make a pact with him. They had already been together for a long time what is the rest of their life. The day came where (Name) was being pressured by their parents to find a familiar. The two were barely adults. Their magic was growing out of control. Cyno approached them with and saw they seemed stressed out.

"Is everything ok?" He asked. They looked at him before shaking their head no. "My magic is becoming too much to be stored in my body. I'm constantly getting pestered by my parents to find a familiar. I don't want to find a familiar and find out I'm not their soulmate. I'd get too attached and wouldn't want to leave me for another witch. As you know our connections are special. We are ment to take care and protect each other." They rambled with their face in their hands.

In truth they really didn't even want to make a pact. It's what they were told to do. Over the years they knew cyno they seemed to of forgotten the fact he was a familiar. They were too busy hiding their face to notice their friend come and look at their spell book. It was open to a familiar summon page. The spell is typically used by witches who need a familiar fast. It summons a temporary familiar who isn't bound to anyone and is happy to work with the witch.

Cyno had to repress a growl that wanted to come out when he saw the page. He shut the spell book making them uncover their face. They looked at him surprised. "Cyno Why'd you close it? It took me ages to find that spell!" They said with a frown. "Make a pact with me instead. I haven't ever bonded with a witch before but I'd rather be your familiar than some temporary one." He stated in such a matter of fact way it seemed to make their eyes widen.

Cyno always liked the color of their eyes. He just liked them in general. They always treated him nice too. When they were young the other kids tended to be afraid of him. They claimed jackal familiars were violent and savage. He never hurt anyone who didn't do something wrong to begin with. He worked with the high magic counsel to protect both witches and familiars from harm and deadly situations.

However (Name) was always kind to him. They always sought him out when others would quiver in fear at him glancing their way. He has always been a man of few words. In middle school when he met his other witch friend Tighnari and was told his jokes weren't funny. They still laughed and smiled at some of them. Even when Tighnari told (Name) not to encourage his jokes.

"I could never do that to you cyno. I don't want to trap you and take you away from your work. I'm still an apprentice witch at the akademiya after all....." They were about to continue going but were quieted by him. "I want to know if you're my destined one. Please allow me to be selfish this once and make a pact with me." He said gently taking their hand into his. Cyno saw their thought through a series of expressions they were making. It made him frown. Had he been in his jackal form his tail and ears would've dropped.

After what felt like forever in them making their choice they gave a sigh. "How mad would you be if I tried choosing someone else?" They asked. Cyno tried and failed to repress the growl he felt this time. They stood up and pat his head. "Fine but promise me you'll break the contract if I'm not your soulmate. I'd rather you be able to find them." They said giving him a smile. Cyno quickly nodded.

The familiar contract was quickly cast. (Name) seemed hesitant and unsure but followed through. After they cast the contract cyno could hear a rapid thumping sound. He looked around confused at first. He was in his jackal form because of how the contract is casted. He felt some of their magic in his body. His tail started moving uncontrollably when he realized the sound. They sat on the ground casting the spell for the first time must've made them tired. He walked over placing his upper body on their lap.

Their parents rushed in and saw them with Cyno on their lap in his jackal form. "(Name) you finally made a familiar contract? With a Jackal familiar too." Their father said not recognizing their childhood friend. His tail was still swaying happily. He figured they were his destined one even if they weren't he wouldn't tell them but he could hear their heart beat perfectly. "Well this is only if I'm Cyno's soulmate." They quickly explained to their parents. Who were now staring wide eyed at the two.

That was years ago now. He was their familiar and they were his soulmate. They had graduated from the akademiya. They worked on sevrral projects at a time. Cyno walked into their study and saw they hadn't taken a break. They had been working on a new healing potions for those who got injured. He still had his job with the magic counsel but worked less hours. He crossed his arms and walked over.

"Love it's time to take a break. You've been there since I left this morning. I know you haven't taken a break cause the honeyed dates and water I brought you before I left haven't been touched." He said placing a hand on their shoulder. They seemed so absorbed in the project they didn't realize he was back. Because they jumped startled when his hand met their shoulder.

Cyno frowned as he heard their heart beat become fast and rapid. He saw they were about to protest and picked them up effortlessly. "Cyno put me down I'm so close." They whined but to him they just looked exhausted and no closer than they did earlier. He held them close and took them to their bed. "Rest first finish it later. " He said setting them down. It seemed they fell asleep the moment their head hit the pillow. He gave a sigh. He has such a careless witch. He was glad there was no other familiar meant for them.

The next day (Name) woke up confused. They didn't remember much after Cyno picked them up. Speaking of Cyno they didn't feel him anywhere. They jolted out of bed concerned. He was always near when they woke up and felt panicked he was gone. Then they noticed a letter on their night stand. They quickly glanced over it and found out Cyno had to leave earlier. They frowned at the thought of not seeing his beautiful sunset like eyes first thing.

They looked at the time and realized it was noon the next day. They gave a yawn and was slightly glad Cyno made them take a break. They stretched and got up to get ready for the day. They missed the message Cyno sent them asking if everything was on. He always seemed to know when their heart speeds up. They quickly responded before they heard him opening the door.

They quickly went to greet him. Their eyes widened as they saw the exhaustion in his eyes. They rushed over. "Cyno are you alright?" They asked worried. He nodded remaining quiet. They patted his head and pulled him into a hug. "I'll make us some food and we can just relax ok?" They said with a soft smile. He nodded. This was a common routine between them.

Kazuha(witch) :

Kazuha was out walking through the forest to return to his home when he found a little creature that seemed injured. He picked it up and noticed it was cold to the touch. He was definitely worried for the little one. He gently and carefully took them back to his home. He wrapped the little (hair color) cat up in a blanket after he took care of any injuries with his magic.

Kazuha could sense they were different than regular cats. This person must be a familiar. He waited for them to wake up for he could find out more about them and what happened. He pulled out a note book and started composing some poems. He was just going to do nothing while waiting for them to wake up. After a few hours he heard movement and looked over to the small cat watching their movements. They seemed confused and disoriented.

"Are you ok little cat? I found you a bit roughed up and was worried you had gotten into some kind of fight. Please don't be afraid I have no intentions of harming you." Kazuha said in a steady tone. His crimson eyes watching their movements carefully. The cat seem to relax from his words. It helped he casted a calming spell as well. They seemed hesitant to do anything still. "If you're a familiar and able to tell me what happened I'd be happy to make us come food and listen." He gave a kind reassuring smile.

The cat contemplated for a moment. "How do I know this isn't a trap?" They asked. "I'm not rather fond of traps. I am just a traveling witch. I go to and fro place to place. I happened to find you while coming back to my current residence. My name is Kaedehara Kazuha. I can't make you believe my words but I mean no ill intent." He said keeping his distance. He wanted to give them a chance to leave if they so desired.

(Name) watched the witch with narrowed eyes. They were very hesitant to trust witches. After a group of their kind were the reason not that long ago they had collapsed. It was because they refused to make a familiar contract with one person of the group. The worst part was they knew the witches forever. They watched as Kazuha made no movements. Their instincts were telling them he was fine but they were still hesitant.

"I'm going to get up and go make some tea would you like some? I'd prefer it if you didn't leave as I couldn't heal all of your injuries fully but I won't stop you if that is what you wish." Kazuha stated. They watched him stand. They raised an eye brow at the way he went the to the kitchen. His movements were nearly silent. (Name) decided to get up and follow him into the kitchen. He was very soft spoken and seemed kind. "So why are you being so kind of me? Won't your familiar get upset I'm here?" They asked as they followed him in the kitchen.

Kazuha shook his head no. "You had no signs of being malicious or anything. There is nothing wrong with aiding a being in need. I don't have a familiar as of this moment but I'm not pressed to get one either. As time progresses if I am meant to have one I will. You're welcome to travel with me or go back to wherever you need to. I just wish to make sure you're healed before I send you off." He answered boiling some water.

(Name) decided to stay with Kazuha for now. He was strange but still charming. They were curious about him. As time progressed with them by his side they didn't wish to leave it. He never pushed them away or anything and was rather kind to them even in their human form. He was musically talented as well as poetic. He was quite handsome and charming too. Before either of them knew it they spent a year together. They traveled place to place and gained new experiences.

One day while Kazuha was writing a poem he had (Name) on his lap in their cat form. "Hey Kazuha." They started. He put his full attention on them. "Yes (Name)? He answered with a smile. "Would you consider making a familiar contract with me? Most witches I know are terrible but you're different I wish to stay by your side." They mumbled quietly hoping he wouldn't hear. He gave a small laugh their attempt was rather endearing. "If that is what you wish I'd be happy to comply and make you my familiar." He stated giving their head a pat. He cast the familiar contract spell.

Kazuha smiled gently when they turned to their human form. He preferred this form a lot. As he had grown rather fond of them. He noticed a faint red dusting their delicate face. He leaned closer with a smile. "Oh do I happen to be your soulmate as well as your witch no? What is it like? Familiars tend to not share with witches how they know who their soulmate is. I'd love to find out." There was slight teasing tone in his voice. They stammered out something as an excuse but it was rather incoherent. They covered their reddening face to hide it from his view. He gave a small frown at their action.

"Well if I'm not your soulmate we can break the contract and search for your soulmate on our next travel." He stated teasing ever so slightly. The way their hands moved from covering their face to holding his hands made him feel regretful for teasing. "I'm sorry (Name) I was just joking. I don't want to give up someone who as nice and lovely as you." He said holding their hands in his. He seemed amused to see their face darken with their blush.

(Name) looked away from Kazuha and at the ground. To think the witch that protected them and saved them was their destined one. His heart beat was a steady and smooth as his voice. "You are my soulmate but telling you how I know is extremely embarrassing I'd rather not." They mumbled quietly. He gave a patient and happy smile. "Then take your time and tell me when and if you wish." He said tilting their chin up to look at him.

After the contract was made (Name) noticed Kazuha had become more flirtatious and silvered tongue around them it made their mind and heart race. However with his actions whenever they made some physical contact they were able to hear his heart raced. They two had a fairly standard routine for how they travel and spend the days and nights. Their lives had become entangled with each other.

The one day Kazuha didn't wake up with you by his side he nearly lost his mind. They could feel his heart speeding up. They hope he calms down when he finds their note they didn't want him to panic. They wanted to surprise him with a gift for everything he had done for them. They had to wait until a night he had gotten drunk and fallen asleep to not wake him up after all.

As they made their way back home they still felt his heart racing in panic. (Name) hoped Kazuha was still at their shared home. They heard his voice calling their name with concern. They saw him up ahead on the path. With his keen sense of hearing he seemed to of hear their footsteps. He rushed over to them and hugged them tightly. "I was so worried when I awoken and you were no where to be found. Why didn't you leave me a note or something?" He asked pulling away and looking into their eyes. They gave an apologetic smile. "I wanted to surprise you with a gift for everything." They answered pulling out a lyre. "There is no need for that. Merely being with you and being able to wake up by my side is all I could ask for." He said kissing their forehead.

Tighnari (Witch):

Tighnari was a very diligent person. He lived in the forest taking care of the various flora and fauna. Recently he had taken on a familiar apprentice after they had brought an adventurer to him. The adventurer was passed out because they consumed an inedible mushroom. After they wanted to learn about taking care of different plants and species. At first they were a stranger to him.

Tighnari was reluctant at first but found they were a diligent worker. They were also as passionate as him when it came to plants. In their animal form they were a small fennec fox with a (hair color) coat. When they told him their name some old memories had clicked for him. The two had met as little kids but he was positive that (Name) didn't remember him. It made him a bit irritated to think about but never let them know. After all they had made a silly little promise back then too. It was if they got taller than him he'd have to marry them.

He didn't mind the company and they could relate with his fox features when they were in their animal form. It was a toss up if he was going to be a familiar or a witch because of his parents. He turned out to be a witch with permanent familiar features. Not that he minded but it was quite a rare occurance. He found teasing (Name) was quite fun on occasions as well.

Tighnari also admittedly had liked (Name) for a long time. A really long time he wanted their promise to remain in the past cause while they were small in their animal form they were quite a bit taller than him. He was outside making some observations on the conditions of the local wildlife. He noticed a large infestation of a non-native flower recently. He made notes on the spread and what would be the best way to deal with the infestation.

"Hey Tighnari you should take a break and come eat some lunch you've been at this all morning." (Name) called from his home. He looked over at them and noticed a look in their eyes. It was as if they had something to tell him. He gathered up his notebook and stuff. "I'll be there in one moment. Go ahead and start eating without me" He called back. He gathered a quick sample from the flowers before heading in. He saw them waiting for him. He could smell the scent of mushroom stew. There was definitely something they wanted to tell him. They only made him this stew on special occasions or when there was something they wanted to tell him and it wasn't a special occasion.

"So out with it. You're clearly have something to say to me. It's better to address it before we share a meal." He stated crossing his arms. He did not expect their surprised expression. "Don't tell me you forgotten about what day it is?" They asked with their (eye color) eyes wide. Tighnari looked confused expression. He couldn't remember anything special about today. Though he was having to concentrate more on suppressing his excess magic.

He was about to go look at their calendar but was stopped by his apprentice/ friend. "Tighnari it's your birthday." They said with a laugh. He felt his face heat up and he looked away. "My mind has been preoccupied with other things as of recently. Plus at a certain point it just becomes another day." He saw their smile drop to a look of concern. "Are you ok? Are you getting sick? You're rather good with remembering dates and events." They said.

Tighnari jumped back when he had felt their hand on his forehead. His heart was racing so fast in his chest. It made him glad he didn't have a familiar contract with the familiar destined for him. "What on earth are you doing? You've been my apprentice for awhile now. Checking someone's temperature with your hand can be ineffective. We have a thermometer use that first to check temperatures. I'm also just fine and not running a fever." Tighnari scolded. His face was completely red. He had grabbed onto his tail in order to stop it's movement. He looked away from them embarrassed.

"I'm glad you're ok. Also happy birthday. I'll also be heading to the desert for a few days. Cyno offered to take me to see something." They said seeming less concerned. Tighnari felt his ears drop but couldn't care much. He was saddened to think about them leaving. He couldn't join them because he can't stand heat very well. They seemed to of noticed the minor drop in his mood.

"Hey Tighnari it's ok. I'll be back in hopefully a week or less. Plus I still plan on eating lunch with you. It's your special day after all. I want to spend time with you but the gift I wanna get you is in the desert. Wait for me to get back?" They said with a smile. Tighnari now wasn't in much of a mood to eat. He couldn't convince them to stay. He knew better since they are extremely stubborn. He got some of the soup and the two ate in silence. Was he being petty? Perhaps but what does that matter. He'd happily just take their company as a gift.

After they had been gone for 5 days there was a really bad storm that occurred. He must have the worst luck as he managed to get struck by lightning during the storm. Tighnari was now forced rest. He had managed to keep his mind off them leaving him for a bit by keeping himself busy from when he woke up until he went to bed. His tail flicked in irritation. He decided he was going to ask them to be his familiar so he won't be left alone again. It'd also help to have a contract to control his magic.

Tighnari managed to fall asleep while resting he was unaware that (Name) came home. They were in their animal form to make less noise. They were carrying a golden rose as Tighnari always talked about them when the two were kids. They didn't see him outside nor hear him. As they made their way through the house they heard light snores. They quickly transformed to their human form and rushed to his room. Tighnari was rarely sick and took naps even less. They knocked on his door.

He didn't respond so they opened the door and saw him all bandaged up. They felt their heart pick up in pace. They rushed over long forgetting the rose they dropped. "Tighnari wake up." They said gently shaking him. When his bi colored eyes opened and saw them they seemed less panicked. Since he seemed as if he wasn't in pain or at least he wasn't until he jumped up hugging them. "Tighnari what happened?" They asked trying not to freak out.

"I was struck by lightning during a storm. I'm ok. What matters is you're back. I was worried sick about you." Tighnari was about to go off on a lecture but they beat him too it. "You need to get a familiar. Your magic has been acting up for awhile. Had you got one you would've been able to heal yourself easily by now. I'll happily take the role if you'll allow it." They said worried.

"I'm fine calm down...." Tighnari started before he processed what they said at the end. "Well if you are that insistent on becoming my familiar you'll need to turn into your little fox form and I can cast the contract." He said. This was a wonderful way to wake up from his nap. They seemed a little embarrassed realizing what they just declared. "Don't force yourself though if you didn't mean it" He said before they transformed. "I want to do it so long as you promise me it won't harm you cause I can wait. After all we have plenty of time you promised to marry me if I grew taller than you." They said with a worried look.

"Oh so you did remember me and just haven't said anything up until now? I don't know if I want a familiar that hides the truth from me." Tighnari said watching their ears drop and their head lowered. He stood up with seemed to bring back their concern. He kneeled down and picked them up. "Calm down I'm joking" he said before casting the contract spell. He noticed a shift in their demeanor. Their ears were straight up and their tail wagging uncontrollably. "Oh I must be your soulmate from that reaction I'll have to learn to control my heart beat." Tighnari said holding them in his arms.

"So what did you have to go all the way to the desert to go get?" Tighnari said. He watched their eyes widened in realization. "I was so worried about you I dropped the golden rose." They said trying to wiggle out of his arms. He just held them closer. He walked towards the door to go look for the flower. He looked surprised when finding it. He picked up with a smile. "Can't believe you went to find me one because I was obsessed with a story about it as a child. That was reckless." Tighnari stated shaking his head in disbelief. Looks like there's no getting rid of him for them.

Merfolk extinction (canon verse). A few years or a decade into the future, merfolk gradually come to the brink of extinction. The ones that remain either do not have the interest to produce offspring or refuse to. Jade gives up some of his genetic samples for the labs to produce copies or clones of himself as part of a trade. Eventually, he meets his "son" or someone else who happened to adopt him. || Status: Open

Floyd (canon verse, mid-chapter 7). Floyd develops a terminal illness that gives him a limited amount of time to live. Jade suddenly becomes incredibly interested in the spell used on Silver that preserved his youth, condition, and the state of his body for thousands of years and Briar Valley. || Status: Open

Hostage Situation (canon verse). As part of his plan to usurp King Triton, Antonio seizes the chance to have King Triton adopt Jade, then subsequently trades him with another prince from a rivaling kingdom and calls it "Friendship Exchange" but in truth, Jade's there to be a hostage. The princes and princesses in the rivaling kingdom were not fools themselves. Jade grew up being an object of discrimination and becomes twice the monster people think he is. || Status: In Discussion.

Vampire Hunter AU (modern verse). A time travel spell gone wrong caused Jade to be transmigrated into a time in the past where vampires existed in the victorian era. This leads to Jade joining the vampire hunter's guild, imposing as one, while he secretly captures vampires to conduct experiments on them and their blood in order to find a way back. || Status: Open

King of Gamblers (canon verse, post NRC graduation). In the heart of a bustling city on Earth, a mysterious casino sprung up to fame overnight. The owner was rumoured to be one of the merfolk, as well as several of his employees. They have been running the casino business for as long as half a decade and have never broken any rules, yet the amount of discourse surrounding it regarding its hidden identity as a hub for criminal activities has reached surreal levels. Jade Leech has always been cooperative with the police, offering them unconditional passes for introspection and searches, but the smile that accompanies his eyes whenever he watched them searching through his belongings suggested he knew more than he lets out. || Status: Open

The Eternal Engine AU (canon verse or independent verse, futuristic/sci-fi, actually a romance plot though it's possible to not be shippy between our muses). A thousand years from now, the world crumbles from the influences of mankind. Their actions have led to fatal climate changes and pushed nature to fight back, turning incredibly hostile. The new world is highly hostile against all former lifeforms, for all humans, merfolk, and beastmen. The Faes managed to withstand longer in the now seemingly eternal winter that blanketed the world, but there were still hostile particles in the wind that could be potentially fatal to a Fae over a long period. Almost 70% of the world's population has been wiped out. The numbers were close to 90% for non-human species. On the side, a once powerful organization decides to unite all living things who were still present and build a main facility amid the apocalyptic setting to sustain life on earth and at the same time, conduct experimentations on various living organisms to find a way to allow life to adapt to their current environment. Jade and Floyd were elected to be part of that research team. They created a large base next to the facility and placed various human beings/other species inside for specific experimentations while having complete control of its environment. The base was set up to mimic the last time in the past before Earth turned hostile, while scientists such as Jade and Floyd, who control the environments in the base would periodically release scheduled hostile changes and study how life forms react to it. One day Floyd got bored, and without Jade's knowledge, he created an NPC, Jacques Leech, based on Jade's personal data and released him into the stimulator. One of the test subjects somehow managed to fall in love with Jacques, before finding out that he's not real. The day when the experiment finally succeeds comes. The world moved towards rebuilding their homeland after the research facility was shut down and all test subjects were released. Jade runs into that test subject who falls in love with a stimulation of himself while being assigned to factions of people in charge of rebuilding the new world. Both are weirded out simultaneously and respectively by the real-life existence which Jacques is based off of, and someone who knows almost everything about himself who is otherwise a total stranger. || Status: Open

Self Aware Games Brainrot Part 1

I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing (except living up to my username of idontknowwhatimdoing) other than just dumping my thoughts onto here, this is the first time I've made a text post on this website and English isn't my native language plus I am very sleep deprived right now so please feel free to correct me if I do or say anything wrong! I came across SAGAU and various other self aware type stuff like OneShot, self aware Arknights and many more recently and I have quite a few ideas, and I hope I'm using this term correctly because I'm basically a fossil when it comes to newer age modern stuff like slang even though I'm relatively young and still a teenager in some countries, a bit of brainrot. I've made a long, long list of stuff to discuss, but for the sake of brevity (and not overloading this site and everyone in it with a wall of text) I decided to post them one at a time and as brief as possible so here we go! More under the Read More:

The first idea I'd like to discuss is... Well, a Reader that's not exactly who you'd expect. I had an idea years ago for an OC / Reader Insert type character who doesn't really have a name yet but I'm going to call them Reader because that's the version of them I wish to talk about in this post, where I attempted to tackle the problem of 'you can't design a character who is meant to represent everyone because not everyone is the same', by simply just. Straight up making them into or have a mech, or similarly something that hides their features or simply makes them something non-human or looks like it because you can't actually see what they're like. Originally, my plan for their story is that humanity and AIs have achieved singularity in our lifetime- as a result both humanity and AIs have joined together to become basically deities for quite literally everyone and even grow and evolve to surpass that, seeding the barren universe with life and technology and guiding them to flourish. At some point however, the alliance of both humankind and machines realize that somehow fictional characters and worlds exist in parallel universes, albeit far below their own. United even more by this revelation, they joined together in order to help them, fully knowing of the huge amount of angst that fictional stories and their inhabitants often have to go through. They and the reader character soon run into a couple problems however: 1. Due to our nature as higher beings that inhabit an infinitely far, far higher realm of existence and the matter of Reality > Fiction, they can't really safely transport themselves (or even just one singular atom) into those fictional worlds without risking large-scale and even complete destruction of those worlds because it would be like trying to fit a mountain into the hole inside of a needle. 2. Using your powers in those lower realms also causes the same problems as point no. 1, but only if you overuse them. 3. There... isn't really a manual for this kind of stuff unfortunately. And 4. This is fiction we're dealing with. Stories can be wild, and there's so many stories and so many characters and so many AUs and so many other stuff out there that it gets crazy real freaking quick. This character is meant to be a Y/N type deal so they're meant represent everyone as a whole, but here's the kicker: your journey starts before everyone else realizes that fiction existing in the multiverses below is a thing. Yeah, you got very unlucky and discovered their existence and the problems mentioned above the hard way very, very early on. And here's another kicker: remember when I said that you can't transport yourself into another lower dimension because you're simply Too Powerful™? You're still kind of stuck somewhere in-between the real world and the fictional omni verse after you almost got isekai'd, the only way you can interact (although there's a chance this may change) is by interacting through player characters or Vessels as they are called in the SAGAU community (please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong and they're called something else though!) However, for now you circumvented that problem by simply just using your galaxy brain and teaching your Vessels to create a body that can at least somewhat handle your power by HEAVILY nerfing your power and only using a very small fragment of it, and as a result as long as it can handle your power and prevent it from destroying everything that body can be whatever you want.

I haven't fully fleshed them out yet and I haven't really designed them besides their general aesthetic in my head, but can you imagine someone like perhaps one of your Vessels from another world or someone else for example trying to summon you from the real world and you just show up looking like this:

You could probably just pick them up with one hand if you need to, and when you run around the countless multiverses helping everyone with their problems you'd probably stick out in the best and funniest way possible. Imagine being the Traveler, traveling through Teyvat with what is basically a giant mecha with overpowered reality bending powers standing right next to them- they wouldn't even need to clear domains since you can just politely ask the enemies to leave. I mean, you can be very scary and at the same time you can just go full pacifist for the hell of it. You (kinda) have author powers since you're from the real world, heck you can basically choose to become a walking Fix-It fic! Wanna talk it out with the Hillichurls? No problem! You pull up the Internet and browse through guides online so you know what words to say. Wanna save a couple characters from dying like they did in the story? The power of foresight and the Internet, baby! Wanna help overworked characters with paperwork? Meet technology and the wonders of streamlining, my friend. I have many, many more thoughts to say, but the word count is uh... it's getting out of hand and it's getting really late where I live so I'll save the rest for other posts in the future asdjaskjdskdj This is simply an idea I've had for a really, really long time come to think of it, but I hope y'all enjoyed! Feel free to just use any of these ideas by the way, this is all just something I made for fun at... incredibly unhealthy hours in the morning ngl, goodness gracious I need a better sleep schedule- And also, @nomorefstogive and @2broschlininahotub for the taglist! omg tysm for this question I love talking about my fav fics ESP BC SO MANY OF THEM ARE NON AOT 🙈🙈 I had to go to my ffn favs for this hihi

so this is list is home to the fics that I have truly idolised, read repeatedly and tried to emulate in some way or another in my own writing journey:

1. Heartbeat by letmeannoyyoutoday. U must have heard me screaming about this fic before. It is god tier, the angstiest, the most painful Sasusaku you can imagine. There isn’t even smut in it but still I’m rendered a sobbing mess everytime I read this story. And I read it every fortnight or so, I swear. canonverse. sasusaku get married.

2. The most dangerous things by Childoftheashes. Man this fic is the tastiest thing in the ichihime fandom istg. Ichigo is unapologetically horny and bossy and slutty and I love everything about it. Orihime is absolutely clueless and drives him up a wall and it’s literally completely smut! This author is one of my smut senseis. I also really love "chasing paper tigers like dreams" by her.

3. Sometimes I think the stupidest things by starsinew. Ok I’m sorry for putting this here bc this user doesn’t have this fic up anymore (I managed to find the epub and thank fuck for that) but I had to talk about it bc this fic changed me on a fundamental level. I fell in love with it so much, even to this day I look back at it with an education lens as to how to write smut. God tier. I hope this author is well and living their best life.

4. Friends with Benefits by confused panda bear. Syaosaku, card captor Sakura. Again a story that doesn’t exist anymore online but I still remember some of the dialogues bc they were so iconic. Definitely a primer on smut writing for me. I invite you to check out their other stories tho they’re literally the harugou mother, birthing the most insane crackship in the free! fandom and getting everyone else drunk on it thanks to their god tier writing.

5. Clarity by randomteenager — angsty but silly gruvia. i love it so much.

6. Seeking Ginny by Casca. Harry/Ginny fic with heavy emphasis on Ginny's personal growth.

7. How to Coexist by Spoilerarlert and also washed up and rundown, I haven't finished it yet but fuck its amazing so far. Both are modern AU stories, one in NYC and the other in Chicago. I can't recommend this author enough, they have a very original and compelling style of writing.

8. Little Beast by herblacktights. This is my fav modern au, high school eremika. If you haven't heard me raving me about this fic already then ur obviously new here. ITS AWESOME! go read it now

9. Dog by Ackermom. floch x eren at it's unhealthiest best. canonverse. This author is one my favs actually, I devour ALL of her work, no exception. I also really enjoyed her reibert fics.

10. Icarus & I by bluinary. Armin-centric. Modern AU. I read this many years ago but I think of it often. I loved Armin's journey in this fic.

11. Three Days by Lotos-Eater. Canonverse. An angsty smutty Shikatema fic where Shikamaru thinks he's lost her.

12. For everything there is a season by SouthSideStory. If y'all are sasusaku stans then you know SouthSideStory already. She's phenomenal. This one is angsty sequel which delves into Sakura's feelings post miscarriage. I highly recommend the prequel as well.

13. Fool for you by Hand of Destiny. Syaosaku. Card Captor Sakura. Syaoran is a business mogul from a very traditional Chinese family. Sakura is an innocent girl who decides to try giving the escort profession a go. God tier, I swear. It also has a sequel!

14. lost girl & found boy. eremika. lost girls-verse. mikasa wants to know how babies are made, etc. cw: teen pregnancy.

15. all you want by senlinyu. i just binged this yesterday. holy shit. it's the big daddy of m/f omegaverse fics, I swear. dramione. canonverse + omegaverse. really really good!!!

Working on a Mungrove Werewolf!AU bc @weird-an is a horrible enabler ♥

Working title (for now) is Thicker Than Water.

"The blood of the pack is thicker than the water of the womb"

Posting some brainstorming below the cut.

Plot:

Billy Hargrove knows he's different. His father treats him like a ticking time bomb, and after an odd instance where he had a collapse and what felt like a full body migraine after a particularly bad encounter with Neil, the entire family is dragged across the country.

Eddie and Wayne Munson are werewolves, and have established a loosely connected, unofficial pack with other werewolves in Hawkins and the surrounding area. They lie low, knowing there's families in Hawkins who are members of a known Anti-Werewolf hate group, but they have no idea that it's all about to get worse, because the Hawkins lab is experimenting with their kind, to create super soldiers for the US military- and that those experiments are going to create a lot of problems for humans and lycans alike.

It all gets worse when a new family moves in- not only does Eddie peg the new boy his age as another werewolf the instant he sees him, but he learns this new lycan doesn't even know what he is.

Now, Billy is going to have to accept the fact that he's not human in order to find the family- and possibly the partner- he's always wanted, as well as a purpose in life that doesn't make him feel like a walking disaster waiting to happen.

Overview:

→Werewolves are a thing, but were nearly hunted to extinction by the early 1900's. A clandestine treaty between the remaining packs and heads of various governments established an addendum to the Geneva Convention that includes werewolves as a protected group.

→The United States, Romania, Brazil, Canada, parts of Russia and Serbia, South Africa, parts of India, and Australia are declared safe haven territories for werewolves- where killing them is considered the same as killing a human being.

→There are still hate groups underground that are devoted to eradicating werewolves, and though their existence is declared "urban legend," and "on par with the Illuminati" as far as proving their existence goes, they indeed exist, and they view werewolves as less than human, as well as a threat. (Many of them are also racist against non-whites and use the group as a front for their hate crimes- and their group members look the other way.)

→ The main hate group calls themselves "The Sons of Cain," referring to their twisted view of the biblical story of Cain and Abel, wherein Cain slew Abel because he was born with the curse of beast blood- and Eve thanked Cain for erasing the mistake she had borne, with Seth, her third son being a replacement for the aberration.

→ The Sons of Cain see themselves as modern day descendants of Cain, slaying descendants of Abel- which they call "The Spawn of Abel" so that the son of Cain and Seth may replace them.

→ A group of humans related to, or in close connection with werewolves who were killed or affected by the crimes of the Sons of Cain formed a group to protect them, called the Werewolf Liberation Front.

→ The WLF assists werewolves in legal matters, provides financial support, or assists werewolves in escaping areas that have become dangerous due to local government and/or law enforcement becoming embedded or overtaken by SOC.

→ Instead of MK-Ultra, the Hawkins Lab is experimenting with werewolves and their offspring to create telepathically linked super soldiers to fight Russia.

→ El is the penultimate result of these experiments.

**Steve is not a Son of Cain, and while he struggles with actually taking a side in the "Sons of Cain vs the Spawn of Abel" debate because he risks being disowned, he can't get behind joining a literal hate group- but due to being raised by a Son of Cain... he needs helps unlearning his prejudice against werewolves.

***Once Nancy and Mike learn about werewolves, they want to support them. Karen, on the other hand, tries calling Billy a predator, and tries to rile up the entire town against him, saying he tried to seduce her, and is a danger to the children of Hawkins. Ted calls her out on her bullshit, asking why a 17/18 y/o boy would try to seduce a married woman, and asks why he's a threat if Holly- a notoriously skittish child- adores Billy as a swim teacher.

‡: These are the ones I am including as characters in the fic- the rest are included by default, but will be background characters, or mentioned in passing.

This fic is actually going to be a challenge to myself- I don't like Steve. (St/eddie fans have realllllly made me wary about him, and I have YET to be in a Mungrove related discussion/community etc where a Steve fan didn't try to make it about Steve or include him somewhere... so needless to say, he irritates the fuck out of me because I can't get away from him.) This is a challenge to me to write him having better character growth that the show doesn't really do well enough for me to like him- and hopefully grow to like him in at least ONE iteration. That being said- no, there won't be any ships involving Steve in this. Focusing on Mungrove ♥

NEW YEARS POST ‘23

Hello Everyone

I cannot believe we are here again all ready - honestly it feels like just yesterday I made the 2022 New Year post. Once more this year has been a ride, and while not much action has happened on the blog - Tumblr has been a buzz with new OCs appearing! I love seeing all the content of others and getting to know their stories.

This post will be a reflection of what's been going on here on the blog - fair warning there is not much, but I think it's good to look back at what's been done. That way we can look forward to what's to come!

Despite all odds, we started off really productive! This month began the Loren Family Character Inspiration Series; I'll link the other post as we come across them through the year. Honestly I loved being able to do this for Callista's Story, it helped me in working out the other members of her family, and how they would all relate to her and one another.

This month we also started Yuuki's official story posting, with the Prologue of her route. I love how it came together, and I cannot wait to finish getting all the CGs done for the rest of the story. If you want more info on the process or the progression let me know!

I also published a musing for the Wolf Kingdom for the [Excruciating Duplicity] involving the Full Moon. This was so fun to do! I think that the ED universe is where I'll really explore other Kingdoms - and this was a really fun way to do it.

@summercreolefanfictioner graced us with the ideas of a modern AU college Kanato this month. Which I loved reading and musing over, thank you for much for that! The triplets got a special birthday merch drop along with a Classic Bitter Sweets drop. Marking the first drop of the year!

Finished Yuuki's Prologue for her story, again, very happy with this. Cannot wait to continue, I have a lot of the actual parts mapped out, just waiting to get art done for the CGs. We got an ask about the existence of mytho/supernatural creatures in the universes. There was also a great ask about Callista's family dynamics and the role Yui could possibly play in the [Excruciating Duplicity] Universe.

We had a few art re-blogs, and focused this month mostly on the illusive twin OCs that are in the works. An anon asked about their role in the universe, and how they fit in. I loved answering this, because it opened my eyes to how - self gratifying the twins were, and that I wanted to fix that. Each OC I make, I want them to be in the story, I want them to matter - not just be there for me to look at (Rose is like that, but she does have a place in the story I swear).

We also had the big life / blog update post. This is where I got to share my personal updates as well as the blogs - things are not too different now as they were then. Hopefully once all this school non-sense is finished and I only have a job to worry about I can get things done.

Shout out to @coldmoontea for their beautiful gender swaps of the boys and moms - they were all so beautiful and stylized. We got out second line drop for the Bloody 13 Knights. And the rest of our post were actually blog driven - yay us!

Should have spaced it out more, but we did finish the Lorene Family Character Inspiration post - pts. 2 | 3 | 4 . Again, I cannot express how much I loved doing these. It was such a great way to explore characters and think about how I wanted to them be - while giving you all a familiar way to associate them. If you ever want to see more for other OCs just let me know!

We got a lot of ask this month - and I cannot thank everyone enough for that. First, we got the big merge of the Carnelian Blood & the Excruciating Duplicity Timelines, and a follow-up ask about it, and then another after that!. Really love the ideas presented in these. Especially how through this fight would bring about the end of the old regime of Kings, giving way for the next generation.

The next was a very sweet ask, that took me way too long to answer - but I loved it. This anon asked about outfits and preparations for a ball for all the OCs. It is fun to explore and look at how all of them dress and experience the same event differently.

Yuuki's birthday month! What better way to celebrate than a story dump of the darkest point in her story, yay! Joking aside, we looked at the Lost Kanuki Kid this month, and I finally got to give you all the details about them - and what that did to Yuuki.

Outside of that we did some fan art re-blogs, and were GRACED with the Dark Night Priest line drop. Good lords, wat that a good one.

In blog news, we made the big announcement about Callista's story. I was really late for a Halloween Ask - it was so nice to write about their activities. It's so fun to see the characters change each year! There was a really fun ask concerning Yuki and Yui, which I loved writing about - my little stalker boy.

The biggest ask we got was one about the Academy in Tormented Reverie Another Daydream. Every time you guys ask about it I get so excited, because it's such a huge project to do. There are a lot of aspects that go into writing in general, but making an entire long standing Academy - it's a lot to think about. You guys help me make the school real, and I love to work on it with you!

🌻 How often do you read your own fics?

uh well immediately after i post a fic, i re-read it like three times because, inevitably, i will find a zillion mistakes i somehow missed in my previous fifty rounds of editing. then i will be unable to look at the piece for a month or two. after that i’ll remember it exists and do another round of edits. usually this is the most extensive edit as i’ve had enough time away from the work to realize where and how i was talking out my ass. sorry to anyone who reads my stuff before this happens lmaoooo i hope it’s stomachable!!

after that, i can (usually) bear to look at the fic again and i’ll remember i wrote it for me and that’s why it contains all kinds of stuff i like lol. i’ll re-read and do nitpicky edits maybe once a month or so. more if i’m proud of it.

💡How many WIPs do you currently have?

ummmmm. let’s see. in no particular order, i’ve got a good chunk of progress goin’ on these right now:

the victors; the vestiges. chapter four is so close to being done but i have to keep touching it and touching it.

recognition chapter 3. this chapter is technically smut, but rather unsexy smut. twin character studies in a smut wrapper. apologies to anyone who’s subscribed to that as i have no idea if i’ll ever be brave enough to publish it.

yet-untitled edeleth smut that is purely about sex for sex’s sake. i’m having too much fun with this one

very angsty fic about byleth’s first days in enbarr

morrowind reincarnation-slash-modern au

hmmm. i don’t think so? i really enjoy writing and exploring established relationships, but i wouldn’t say it’s necessarily my favorite as i enjoy writing non-romantic stuff, too. thematically, my favorite thing to write about is devotion. i’m pretty much always writing about devotion or grief (usually both).

so i don't think i post abt this on here much but i have this folder of like a dozen different (broadly mediocre and quarter-baked) hinataverse crossover concepts, because i love to put hinata in Situations. there's this whole MCU crossover branch that is well enough fleshed out that i keep branching ADDITIONAL crossovers off of it whenever i watch an action movie. i don't think anyone has ever seen any of them except @combat-epistemologist; for the most part i haven't bothered to give any of them coherent plots so most of them are just, like, Hinata Experiences Culture Shock.

but anyway i was rereading the scholomance crossover just now (whose existence i vaguely alluded to here) and -- the problem with this, right, is that the scholomance books are sufficiently tightly plotted that it's hard to wedge a hinata in there without completely wrecking galadriel's character arc. and also that hinata is kind of too OP to fit in well with the setting, which is another common structural issue with these AUs. it's not Good Content, it's just noodling around with the concept "what if the scholomance yoinked hinata during the freshman induction at the end of a deadly education, and hinata is incredibly mad about it because she was In The Middle Of Things". there ARE SOME REALLY FUNNY BITS though and my current favorite is just the entire concept of itachi's isekai adventure to modern japan.

itachi is trying to find hinata, right (this is a non-massacre AU, or more accurately the massacre interrupted AU i alluded to in the tags of this post; you see why it's impossible for me to post 80% of my shit with the dependency web i've got going on). hinata has Mysteriously Vanished and itachi was forced to cram a five-year course of study on advanced fūinjutsu into like three weeks in order to track the space-time jutsu that yoinked her THIS far. he seriously contemplates stealing the kinjutsu scroll and resurrecting the yondaime with edo tensei if he can't figure out the necessary sealwork himself. his general emotional state can be summed up thusly:

he doesn't know what a car is and he talks like a nobleman from the sengoku period and he's been yote randomly into -- well, i haven't quite decided where yet, because that would require a good deal more historical research than i really feel like doing for this fic (in particular: what the hell is going on with kyoto enclave), but either Literally The Middle Of Shinjuku (funny, but then he probably finds tokyo enclave too quickly) or a random patch of countryside (wherein he almost gets himself isekai'd again by truck-kun within the first 15 minutes). but eventually he DOES manage to gaslight gatekeep girlboss his way into tokyo enclave --

What fandoms do you write for? Currently only for MDZS, but I've also written for Boueibu.

What are your top 5 fics by kudos? "All men are the same" MDZS nieyao. A comedy of errors where JGS tries to get NMJ and JGY married but it's all a misunderstanding with each one having his own version of what's going on. "Strong roots for a pine" MDZS nieyao. Accidental baby acquisition by MY keeping the baby he found during the war and changing his decisions and priorities. "Brother, don't preach" MDZS sangcheng, 3zun. Modern omegaverse with NHS getting accidentally pregnant during one of JC's visits and 3zun caring for him until JC returns from studing in another city. "To hold your hand and let it guide me" MDZS nieyao. Extra scene of 'All men are the same' where JGY is back in Qinghe and the dumbasses finally confess their feelings. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? Yes, I do! Bc if the reader has gone out of their way to let me know that they appreciate my story, the least I can do is letting them know in turn that I appreciate their support ^^.

What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Whoo, this took me down some memory lanes lol. That'd be "Say you love me like you mean it", a Boueibu akorima vampire AU where one doesn't remember their past lives as lovers.

What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? That's a very good question bc most my stuff has a happy, or at least a hopeful ending. I don't really think there's one that's particularly happier than the rest :P.

Do you get hate on fics? Not yet, which I'm very grateful for.

Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Technically, the answer is yes, but this far it has only been in convos with very close friends and just one tame-ish scene. I do have fics that will be E tho.

Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written? I don't really write crossover.

Have you ever had a fic stolen? Luckily, no. That I know of, at least.

Have you ever had a fic translated? Yes, actually! - "All men are the same" to Brazilian Portuguese (wattpad) - "Strong roots for a pine" to Spanish

Have you ever co-written a fic before? I'm credited as co-author in "Going digital", a Boueibu Digimon AU, but it was @magiccatprincess doing the actual writing, I just helped plot it ^^;.

What's your all-time favorite ship? I can't say I have an all-time fave bc my level of how much I love it changes every time I change hyperfixations. But in my current fandom I'd say nieyao, bc it was one of the first ships I fell for and it is still one I'm hella into, like a default.

What's a wip that you want to finish, but doubt you ever will? Ooh boy. I have lots of wips that I do intent on finishing one day, but tbh I fear that I'll get obsessed with another thing before I can get to them orz.

What are your writing strenghts? I guess that when I am inspired and very obsessed I can write a lot in a relatively short time, and I can adapt and improvise as I go. I've made plot critical changes in the middle of a story that was already getting posted without it showing too much lol.

What are your writing weaknesses? My aforementioned dependence on my level of obsession for a fic to get completed. If another fandom catches my eye and heart while I have unfinished fics, those are done for. My motivation for a previous fandom is pretty much non-existent when I'm neck deep into another thing, all my energy is now poured into new fandom with new fics and ideas.

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? Not a big fan of it and I don't really do it beyond names or expressions ('et tu', 'touché', etc.)

First fandom you wrote for? Boueibu.

Favorite fic you've ever written? This answer also changes depending on what fandom I'm in at the moment. But rn I'd say "Black hole sun", a MDZS alternative Guanyin temple scene with fierce corpse WRH bc I like the instrospection I do in JGY's character and choices (and also him getting to live :')))).

Oh another just for fun one! What would Operator and Drifter Chronicler be like in a modern day human au/setting? What style of clothes are they wearing, what are they up to? Do they have a job, are they in school? Would they even exist at the same time? (I’ve seen a few fun interpretations of Drifters as older siblings to their Operator in non-Warframe aus)

Well, that depends on how serious you want this au to be (also, sorry for taking so long to respond!)

If its an actual realistic au, then I feel like either they'd be siblings or operator Chronicler would be a figment of drifter!Chronicler's imagination, a way to keep himself occupied as he works alone in his lab as the sole researcher not fired from his post (To keep with drift's theme of tragedy hidden by comedy).

If you want it to be a little bit more...fantastical, then during some experiment they ended up linking their two realities together (operator Chronicler is from a universe where drifter Chronicler's scientific curiosity and genius was recognized from a young age)

As for clothing, I feel like regular lab safety attire plus like a tie and some rectangular glasses or something makes the most sense (with drift obviously not wearing his lab safety gear properly due to putting it on hastily, while operator is fully decked out and even rocks the look)

🍁 - How did your f/o and s/i meet?

they met through an antique store that norman runs in this au! it's a modern au where the events of canon end differently and norman gets away with the murders but sells the motel and moves to another part of the state and opens an antique store instead!

🍒 - What are some headcanons you have about your f/o?

this is both my reading of the source and a thing in the self-ship but i personally think norman has at least one more alter other than those shown to exist in his source (so not the mother in the movie/book or the "normal bates" alter in the book). i think the one who disposes of the corpses is a different one than any of the others who are explicitly shown to exist.

in my self-ship, the alter who cleans up after the bodies has a genuine taste for violence that transfers onto norman when his system integrates. norman is initially too traumatized (is that quite the right word?) by the murders to acknowledge that he enjoys violent ideation so he tells himself it's just intrusive thoughts until eventually learning that it doesn't make him a bad person and he's eventually able to enjoy it through kink with my self-insert :)

🍎 - What are some headcanons for your s/i?

trying to think about what constitutes a "headcanon" about an oc of mine vs. just a fact about them since i control what's canon about them...well i guess i'll just give some facts about him because i don't think i've posted anything about them here!

their name is nil and they're an alien from a planet orbiting betelgeuse (which, as an alien extranth/fictive, is my home star!) and they meet norman because they're a photographer who takes pictures on other planets, and they go to earth to this end only for eir spaceship to break down and em to get stranded there. (they later get un-stranded through events i am yet to determine but that involve norman coming to space with nil!)

one of my favorite facts about them is that they have transitioned five times (arguably only four because ey's a system and one of those instances was one of their alters transitioning because she temporarily became host and nil let her do whatever she wanted, but the body has gone through five distinct phases of transition).

transition is much more accessible in outer space than on earth, and alien hrt is more complicated than human hrt in that, instead of one hormone inducing numerous physical changes at once, different changes are controlled by different hormones. this in theory would make it more difficult for someone trying to transition "fully", but that concept doesn't really exist with how gender works in space, and it lets people have more control over the exact changes their bodies undergo.

nil's internal sense of gender is completely unrelated to eir body, though, and while that changes over time too, a lot of why ey transitions so many times is to try to obtain a sense of autonomy and control (as well as reacting to body-related traumas). the body they end up with by the time that they reach earth has breasts (but small ones that are easily hidden/bound, this is the size ey prefers), wide hips, a lot of body hair, and a voice in the higher range of what could be considered "lower". on earth, ey's read as either a cis man, a trans man, or a trans woman depending on how ey presents, but most people who spend enough time with him to be his friend and see how he prefers to present (with both breasts and body hair visible and emphasized but not using she/her) assume that ey's a GNC pre/non-op transmasc and he finds that this is validating to his sense of identity even if it's not actually accurate.

❤️ - How affectionate is your f/o?

depends on various factors! before his friendship with nil (it's a queerplatonic relationship that starts out as a physically affectionate friendship), norman is not used to giving or receiving physical affection, whereas nil is used to it but hasn't met too many people on earth who are as big on platonic physical affection as he is and as has been normalized to him by the culture(s) he's interacted with in space.

however, after a conversation between the two of them (prior to any formalized relationship), they establish the possibility for and then a pattern of physical affection within the context of their friendship. norman takes a while to get used to it and isn't comfortable (at least for a while) with publicly displaying affection (namely because he fears queerphobic reactions). however, he does end up becoming pretty affectionate with nil in private, especially cuddling while watching movies together or physical affection as a gesture of reassurance.

💙 - What trope dos your self ship fall under?

i don't know if this is a trope per se, but i am fond of describing nil's and norman's relationship as "freak4freak" in that they both have similar things wrong with them as well as possessing kinks that constitute or border on mental illness and fit in really well with each other in that respect. a lot of it is based on how well the stuff that's wrong with us fits with what's wrong with our partner system in our freak4freak relationship :)
