Hi there... I really love the idea of solarpunk but like. The "punk" part of it makes me so anxious. I think it's a vital part of the movement, but I can never imagine doing something like that myself.
If you have any small (tiny) tips or ideas on things I can do on a more personal level I would appreciate them. Everything seems so overwhelming and completely out of my wheelhouse and skill base
Hey ya 🌱 Sprout!! It can be hard to recognize, particularly in solarpunk, but your already punk and already doing praxis. I'm sure of it.
If you've ever pirated media, DIYed or mended clothes, have a rain barrel, spoke out against poor labor conditions, provided a safe space for anyone in an uncaring world even for a brief interaction- Your already punk!! Anyone who fights and gatekeeps that title from you bc of age, aesthics, or experience is a poser and a FED!!
That being said tho--
If you want to do more outrageous projects there's a few things I can recommend depending on how much you wanna do!!
Battlejacket- TBH the purpose of a battle jacket is to soothe this exact anxiety while also being a fun project and being a single to others!! There's many examples in both my Battlejacket tag and patch idea tag to get you started. You can get iron on patches/print paper that transfers pretty well if your not used to DIYing stuff. If this feels like to big if a step and is too much tho keep in mind you can make a battlejacket and not wear it outside right away. It's a second skin to make you feel and others feel safe, but it's also a big neon target on yourself depending on your environment and where you are. So it's ok to just make one and not wear it out until your ready!! (If you do this-- my only demand is you show me when you do it!! I want to see all of those kinda projects bc I'm obsessed with them)
Getting out there- If starting a guerilla gardening project or joining a community garden, or community association isn't an option for you- be that bc of accessibility/time/energy- I'd recommend starting to archive and getting out there! Inaturalist or falling fruit are awesome programs where you identify plants/animals/stuff outside in general. It gets you outside, your adding to a community which gets the feeling of a ball rolling building confidence and your praxis muscles!!
Root yourself in your community- This is a hard one if your busy/have low spoons/are introverted but I promise its worth doing even if you arent super active in those spaces! Even just researching the history of your town/city/neighborhood and seeing what programs are running can really connect you to the area. A lot of us due to the renting crisis never truly attach to our neighborhoods or are too busy to look into local artists. (Not your fault babes, its built to do that to feed monopolies) Pick even just 1 thing you care about (local artists, teashop, bands, libraries, community fridges, etc..) and find the closest thing to you and get obsessed. Being a regular in any space is an awesome feeling, its where you'll find friends, and you'll directly see any change you provide there.
Media archiving- There's a lot of ways of doing this one but just pirate the fuck out of everything!!!! Burn it to a physical copy, share it with your friends/family! Make mix dvds, burn movies/tv shows! Directly download youtube videos! Print off your fave fanfiction and bind them into books! Particularly with streaming services directly deleting content and getting rid of them entirely this is important work but its also just very fun!! Seeing my wall filled with dvds and books and objects makes my brain happy but also again, the physical exchange of handing the media you love to another person is so unique! Theres lots of guides and methods of doing this depending on the method and medium your using.
Utilizing public spaces- Loitering is a good one as well to push yourself and to interact with things IRL! Use your public libraries and parks excessively! Spend a weird amount of time at the mall not buying stuff! This might seem like a weird one, but its a long term thing. It shows that ppl are supposed to be out and about without spending money, but also many of these places (except the mall obvi) get funding based on usage so the more you use something the more likely they are to make it accessible to more ppl! It also makes it more normal for ppl who need to loiter to be in these spaces which again adds more accessibility. This is also one that might get you unwanted attention so decide your comfort and safety level. Pushing boundaries is good but do it at your own pace.
Vandalize! - Again we're ramping up a bit on risk levels but I recommend it, particularly bus stops or putting up posters. Bus stops is bc at least in my city they only maintenance them once they've been 'ruined' so its actually a cosmic positive to do it in these spaces. Posters are also good! Ive seen quite a few for tenant unions but also a handful of them that are food resources or call outs for police. This is mostly to have passive way to show solidarity or get a message across. But also like your doing art! Great stuff! Again tho this comes with risk if caught or if you dont know what your doing so start with baby steps (like using sharpie on an Ad you fucking hate or putting up a poster in a neutral space to get used to it)

Why I love Luz Noceda's aesthic and dress as a female character:
I obviously love Luz Noceda as a character. She is so brilliantly written and I love her flaws and postive traits. Love how she is poc character that is bi and relatable. But I think what I love most is how she looks and dresses. Growing up I would have loved a female character like Luz. Her design is not what you expect. She's not the typical female character in cartoons. She's relatable because she dresses how I probably would have dressesd as 15, 14 year old.
She's not girly girl but I wouldn't call her a tomboy either. She's like this comfortable in between that I wanted and craved as a kid. And she's still colorful and beautiful. Like anime girl but realistic. She's also shows her creativity and adhd energy in her clothes which yeah was me too as a kid. I think as she grows and changes in the series she adopts some style from Eda because she's come to admire her. Her looks here have to be my favorite because I feel like she looks the most aesthically pleasing.
By thanks to them even though she's really depressed I think she's really grown up and you can see it in her clothes. She's got a not as colorful look but she looks comfortable. And mature. Plus by the end in her last outfit she doesn't give up her fantasy witch side. She just I guess comes back more mature and wiser in it. She doesn't give up being a witch. She just is more cautious. She's in the outfit but no wig, because it isn't a costume anymore or a role she's playing. It's who she is. Luz Noceda is a witch who loves glyphs and magic.

Flammagenitus, why I made you so complicated akhahahahhah (so glad I’m going 3D for RFR’s comic cause there’s so many characters that are basically like this)
So, first image on the top left is of Flammin as a “human-ish” creature with dragon-like traits. Having no familarity with designing robots or mechs, I usually fall back on organic shapes from animal and human anatomy. Basically a good starting point if I have no idea where to go.
Next three images are just variations of the “armor” overlayed on the “human-ish” design, using the Greek Corinthian helmet as a reference (see notes here). I didn’t like these designs for Flammin mostly because they just look too dragon like. I wanted something that still looks like a helmet, with a large jaw.
The two images in the final row are when I realized I lost the ancient Greece aesthic for Flammin’s design. I discussed a little about this aesthic here in Altostratus cover’s initial sketches post. Nikey (or Queen Nike in Flammin’s time period) was from Antiqua, a land inspired by Ancient Greece. Queen Nike helped in Flammagentius’ construction during the events of the Relic War, so much of Nike’s Antiquan influence had affected Flammagentius’ design.
Last image, Flammagentius with revised helmet shape, keeping the Greek Corinthian helmet design with modifications on it for her eyes, jaw, crest, and horn. The remaining design is almost finished, just need a separate ref page for Flammin’s body, head, and colors. Then Altostratus’ cover will be next!
Also, here’s a size comparison model between Flammin (68ft currently, big dragon look thing) and a human (5ft, smol box):

Hey Indie, what's your opinion on Squandy (Squidward x Sandy)? I actually seen it from Waackery on DeviantArt and l must say it's very interesting one l guess.
Eeeeh, I sorta have mixed feelings to it honestly but like even though I ship SquidBob sometimes but is still is a Spandy Shipper. It's just not really my thing.
Even though these two do have moments together, they barley have chemistry towards each other and Sandy has more chemistry with SpongeBob since the two had a LOT of moments together through out the seasons.
I find Squidward too grumpy for Sandy since he's not all that into western stuff that she's into and is more into Aesthic/Fancy stuff (if you know what I mean by that).
If the Two had more chemistry together in more Episodes, I would have shipped them or at least liked the ship if they explained more of their feelings (you know, like friendship) but Nah, they're just Normal Friends.
Though I will have to admit, at least Sandy does save Him (like in "Squidtastic Voyage" and "Feral Friends") (Until Squidward is caught by Neptune's Moon and turns into a Real-Life Feral Octopus like the rest of the Sea Creatures, except Sandy since we all know she's a land animal).
I will give the ship that a feral point, this relationship between them somehow could inspire for one of my upcoming works for my other original story ideas that I have in mind (you know, original characters that have a similar relationship similar to theirs, if you know what I mean)😏

Hey so I've been on this account for a while so i thought I should probably do like an introduction to me and what my little crazy rabbit hole of a page is and what I'm about.

First off on this page I'll go by my female name Alexis or lexi my friends call me, I'm a pansexual 26yr old my pronouns are basically something I've ever thought about before since I basically switch between them so much and I tend to see them as 2 personalities I have even though I don't think I have split personality disorder. So I guess the my gender currently is fluid so my pronouns are they/them for now at least will update if anything changes.
I'm a male by genitalia and outward appearance standards, I dress as and look like a typical cis man outside but I have worn female clothing all my life in secret mostly mainly over not having to explain myself but female fashion is my passion I'm a gothic emo in my main aesthic as most of the stuff I wear is black red or purple as they are my favourite colours, I'm on the thicker side with my weight but I'm going the gym to try and improve that. Also before I forget I'm a submissive appraisal craving whore who loves seeing notifications.
My interests are a bit on the unusual side and I'm always looking at stuff that might be interesting by they are mainly music (rock, metal, EDM, old school techno, alternative and piano music), video games, anime, female fashion, makeup and nail art, bdsm and most of the things that come under the umbrella of kinky.
I'm mainly using this as a way to express myself and to find others that I can connect with. The stuff that I post is just gonna be anything and everything I feel like posting. I love talking to new people and I may spam liking your posts so I'm sorry if I do it just means I love it, however if it gets annoying feel free to let me know and I'll try to stop or hold back at least.

Hello, one of my names is Lyania. In case you ask, I go by another name. But let's keep that secret🤭. Now, I may be a small artist, but I am a very fast learner. I am a big fan of many different animes, using somewhat of an anime style to draw. I have been told it is a mix of cartoon/anime, but That's for you to decide. I simply LOVE creating characters, as well as seeing different people's characters. So I took it up on myself to try and start drawing some of my friends OCS.
Some of my likes do include anime, as well as snakes, cats, pandas, the Gothic aesthic and so much more.
Even if my commissions are closed, I would gladly answer any questions you may have or even listen to some art advice from the more experienced artists.

5 of my favourite movies and why
Howls moving castle: I love the visuals and art style, and like the music choices , its a very nice, fairly peaceful movie which is nice to relax too and chill out
Legally blonde: I love the main character elle and her character arc, and the big end scene is just so fun to watch
Puss in boots, the last wish: I love the animation style, and the sotry is so fun , and i love the main villian 'Death'
Zombie land: I like zombie movies and it was one of the first unique zombie movie I saw as a kid, so I do have nostolgia with this movie
Saw 2: I just like the lore and storylines
Possible Double Features
Howls moving castle would pair nicely with another Studio Ghibli movie, my other favourites arent as popular/well known, so while i'd love to suggest 'From up on poppy hill' or 'whisper of the heart', the smarter more popular chocie would be something like 'Spirited away' or 'kikis delivery service'
While Legally blonde does have a sequal, its not as popular as the orignal , and I think a fun double feature would be mean girls due to the matching pink aesthic of main characters, and both set in schooling locations.
Puss in boots the last wish is infact an sequal, but same with leglally blonde, the other movie isnt as loved, so maybe a good double feature would shrek 1, where the character of puss in boots originates from
unlike puss in boots the last wish and legally blonde, zombie land and its sequal are equally good, using the same cast and set 10 years later (as the movie was coming out 10 years after the original) so zombieland 1 and 2 would be a very good double feature
and same with saw, the best double feature would probably be saw 1 and 2

With the media showing people that are truly flawless, there's really no wonder why people would like to look exactly like the people that they see on the screens.
For Medical ReasonsAlthough, for teenagers, there are other reasons why they would like this done. In fact, in these cases, there are doctors that will morally object to performing any surgery in these situations. If a teenager does not like anything about their body, it's usually just best to take time out and make them feel a bit more validated in their lives. Like there are inherit risks for the adult, the teenager is just as in potential danger than their parents.And as we know, places like high school can truly be a horrifying place for people who are not in the 'in' crowd, which is another contributing factor to the rise of teenagers wanting to go under the knife. For instance, if a child is born with a cleft palate, this is something completely different.
