Angel Dust’s initial reaction to the unexpected gift was a look of genuine surprise, followed by an overexaggerated awe of delight. He thinks it’s one of the best gifts anyone’s given him so far, coming in second place to Fat Nuggets himself, and that’s pretty high in the rankings.
“Holy shit! I love it, toots.” He smiled as he held up the fabric for further examination. Then he smiles at you. “I’ll send you a picture of Fat Nuggets and me later, yeah?”
And Angel Dust is a man of his word; he sends you a picture of him and Fat Nuggets posing in the lounge of the hotel. Angel was showing his teeth as he smiled, holding his baby close to his chest. The photo had a caption that said, “for your eyes only. we both loved it,” with his signature heart at the end.

It hurt to move his arm. Fuck. He didn't think it felt broken, but he'd taken that fall pretty hard. The cuts across his left side had stained his sweater a deep blue. Fuck, he felt shaky. He'd made it home, but he wasn't sure how much long he'd be able to keep going. The arm had made itself the first priority by making removing his sweater infinitely more difficult. But the cuts needed tended to. Some of them were pretty deep, but mercifully they were all clean. Broken glass was sharp enough to cut cleanly.

There was a spark of terror that ran through him as he heard someone call his name. He couldn't afford to be seen like this.
