Kadi Kidiss, Champion!

The SFW version of the piece by @cadhla182 for the winner of my Tumblr OC Sexy(wo)man showdown, Kadi Kidiss. Short summary; she's a Clone Trooper, CT-9869, who was among the first to desert the Empire after Order 66. She joined a Mandalorian clan, Clan Kidiss, who were among the first factions to join the rebellion against the Empire, as early as 14 BBY. She's a heavy weapons specialist, a decent pilot, and an absolute fuckboi of a butch lesbian. Like she is the clan bicycle for horny gay ladies. And proud of it.

Her armour is symbolic, though most of it's off here--rebellion, vengeance, justice, redemption--but the important bit is her hair means 'loving/in love' but in this context basically signifies 'DTF'. So.

Anyway my Tumblr followers apparently decided she was my sexiest OC, so she got a special piece done of her. Enjoy!

Yeah Venom of the Red Lotus showed us how crazy powerful Korra is but The Last Stand had Korra transform the destructive power of a massive bomb blast into something regenerative in the culmination of one of the best character arcs I've ever seen. In my OPINION!!

#SORRY ok i'll stop.#lies. i have more to say. she is so brave and so selfless!!!#and mako sacrificing himself to destroy the weapon's energy source was really powerful too #AND of course. the korrasami of it all.#ok one more thing. it seems like the most common interpretation of korra's conversation w/tenzin in the last stand #is 'suffering makes you a better person' and people rightfully get pissed off about that #but i just....fundamentally disagree with that reading. i saw it as korra choosing to find meaning in her pain #and choosing to find wisdom in it. and i think that's really fucking powerful and why korra's arc resonates so deeply with so many people.#like. the suffering happened. she can't go back in time and undo it. and she didn't deserve it!!#but the only way to move forward was to accept that it happened and let it empower her rather than drown her.#i mean there are things i've been through that i wish hadn't happened #but the idea that those things don't necessarily have to mean i've changed for the worse #that i can choose to find A Point to it all and grow from it and use the pain rather than the pain using me #is actually really empowering.#tlok

Thinking about how in a single gameplay Jason (who already has blood on his hands and conscience from an incorrect call) can be faced with the decision to:

let Merwin face the vampires alone

stab Joey

shoot or abandon Clarice

shoot Rachel

lie to Nick about his chance of survival

leave Salim to die

And then thinking about how they find Balathu or Kurum half preserved and suffering and Salim decides they must put him out of his misery. And how when Jason automatically moves to follow through, Salim puts a hand on his gun and says “I’ll do it.”

It’s a choice born of practicality, not kindness. But to Jason, who’s made the call so many times he’s gone numb, it must also be a lifeline.

#it still astounds me that they dumped all that on one character #and i know they’re all under a lot of stress but salim’s the only one that doesn’t really turn on him for making the ‘wrong’ choice #the worst part is #even when you’re not playing as jason you have the option to talk him into or out of the death sentence #but ultimately the call is his to make and he takes full responsibility for it #and in that moment with kurum/balathu salim says ‘you don’t have to be the weapon this time. i’ll do it.’#i can only imagine what relief that brought jason #sorry y’all i’m back on my bullshit #house of ashes #jason kolchek #nathan merwin #joey gomez #clarice stokes #rachel king #nick kay #salim othman #jalim if you squint #addition bc i’m not redoing all those tags: i forgot he does tell rachel it’s on her if clarice turns

I doubt Wu would train him against Misako’s wishes (see every episode of Season 1 before 10), but Lloyd would definitely come across them eventually

Plus given her mild reaction to Lloyd’s growth and the fact that he recognizes each her, she only left recently, when he was older

Plus plus, he would be safe at Darkly’s, Garmadon is literally Kruncha and Nuckal’s boss, they can’t hurt him

Were there better choices she could’ve made? Yes, but that doesn’t mean the choice she made was wrong.

In Nopes she complains because her dad asks her to lend CoS troops, instead of asking Dimitri or Rhea herself...

But unless Count Charon is as dumb as Leopold, he knows pretty well Cat isn't the one who can lend him Church soldiers.

Of course Fodlan dgaf about non students characters, especially if they are affiliated to the Church, but I wondered, maybe Count Charon didn't want to ask Rhea herself to lend him some troops because he has a strange relationship with her -

Rhea is, after all, the one who welcomed his daughter when she was hunted by the Kingdom and the reason she's alive, Dad!Charon, whatever was his position during the "Cassandra hunt" wasn't the one who protected his daughter, Rhea was.

Maybe he feels already to indebted to her to even ask her, in person, for more soldiers?

As for Dimitri...

I always found it disappointing how both game never explored more Cat's backstory, ffs if Faerghus was "feudal uwu", the Crown (even if it was during Rufus' regency) ordered Cat's death, she was branded a traitor and someone who commited regicide ffs.

What was happening with House Charon at that time, were they happily going to give their daughter to the crown, when Catherine was the presumptive major crested heir, to have her executed? When the entire Kingdom branded her a traitor and had her name besmirched, was House Charon totes okay with, you know, the accusations that their precious heir participated in the plot to kill Lambert?

Lonato throws a fit because Christophe was executed by the Church, but Lonato is only Rowe's bannerman - Charon is one of the major Houses in the Kingdom, wouldn't they have thrown a "larger" fit if the crown wanted to execute their heir??

Or maybe that could fell in the larger "the Kingdom was in chaos" thing - House Charon might have been "this" close to rebel against the Crown ?

In a way, it might explain why Garreg Mach wasn't visited by the Kingdom's forces asking Rhea to hand Cassandra over if the crown's forces had to cross Charon territory to reach Garreg Mach...

So in with this BG, it would make perfect sense why Count Charon wouldn't ask Dimitri for more soldiers (granted we're talking about Church soldiers?) - Charon is still a loyal bannerman who fights for Faerghus, but his trust in the crown would have been severed, and it's up to Dimitri to rebuild that bond.

I watched Avengers: Age of Ultron (apart from I skipped some overly long action sequences) and I am not sure so can someone tell me whether or not Tony Stark was the baddy in that film? Because about halfway through I was sure he was but then it was maybe just an evil robot after all and I am confused because either this film was surprisingly subversive or it was about robots hitting each other.
