a 14 and 19 with Damian, please?
I was very tempted to turn this into a whole story so I’m sorry if it’s too long for a ficlet, I swear I stopped myself from writing a lot of stuff which was hard because I have like .000000000000002% self-control when it comes to Damian. Kinda proud of myself, ngl.
14. “You don’t know what you do to me, do you?”
19. “God, you are so fucking cute.”
His stare unnerved you. Damian was very hard to read as he was, but you found the task particularly arduous at the moment.
Was he mad at you? Had you said something he found stupid?
“What’s got you so...” You made a gesture with your hand, unsure as to how to ask what the fuck was going on.
You were supposed to be on the lookout in case your target made an appearance and according to Dick the probability was quite high since his own target was nowhere to be found.
Leave it to Bruce to cover every corner of the city.
“So what?” Damian demanded to know.
You shrugged, avoiding his gaze with the pretense of paying attention. “I don’t know how to explain it.”
Humming, Damian crouched down just beside you. “Two people right?”
“There’s a third one,” you explained, eyes on the building across the street. “But they come and go every ten minutes or so. I’m guessing they give updates.”
He remained silent, observing the moving figure. He must’ve been thinking the same you were — they knew they were being watched.
A sudden sense of guilt washed over you. What if you ruined it? With a sigh, you told him, “Although... I could be wrong. I might be counting each second too quickly.”
Shuffling, he turned to the side to once again look at you. “You’ve been counting the minutes?”
You nodded, abashed. “I forgot my watch.”
Shaking his head, he whispered under his breath, “God, you are so fucking cute.”
You chose to believe you had heard him wrong, and for your own wellbeing and the task at hand, decided to ignore his comment.
He wasn’t having it. “Look at me.”
Inwardly, you cursed him. It was clear to you that he could tell how flustered his comment left you wether he had meant it or not. Damn him and how good he was at reading you.
And so you looked at him because you weren’t a coward and you liked his pretty eyes way too much for your own good.
“You don’t know what you do to me, do you?” he said even more lowly than he had already been speaking.
No, you didn’t. He drove you insane because of it — you never knew if you were imagining things or if he was as into you as you were into him.
You didn’t think this was the time or place either. “You’re gonna make me lose count.”
“I brought my watch.” He was done with the chase, with the painfully cold shoulder you gave him when he refrained from telling you how he felt.
Damian didn’t blame you, he was hot and cold too. But your cold, in his not so humble opinion, was actual torture. You could be crueler than anybody else expected —yourself included— and he enjoyed it when he wasn’t on the receiving end.
You wetted your lips and finally answered his question. “No, I don’t know.”
“I figured. For somebody so smart, you’re painfully oblivious.”
Ignoring what you assumed he meant as a compliment, you said, “You aren’t the easiest person to read.”
He looked away from you. Damian couldn’t possibly hold your gaze when confronted with the things he needed to work on still.
Being unreadable was needed in this line of work, perhaps one of the most crucial characteristics any superhero or vigilante could have. And it came with a high price.
A price he had been willing to pay until he got to know you. Until he got to come up with unrealistic scenarios he replayed before going to sleep. Your hands in his hair, his arms around you...
He knew you’d like it. He had seen you around other people long enough to know how affectionate you could be, the small things you did for them when they were upset and what you expected in return when you were feeling down.
It was unfair for him to read you so easily when you hadn’t even been sure he wanted to be your friend mere months ago.
But Damian wasn’t known for giving up easily and he wasn’t going to start now.
“I suppose I’m not,” he agreed. He couldn’t bear to gaze at you again, not now, even if it was one of his favorite things to do. “Should I promise to change?” he asked with the hope that you wouldn’t want him to change a single thing.
And for once in his life, the universe was on his side. You chuckled softly, what an absurd question. You challenged him with another, “Do you want to change?”
It was a loaded inquiry. He could choose not to answer and you wouldn’t think any less of him, why would you when you wouldn’t have known the answer if somebody were to ask you the same thing?
Damian, who had wondered for years what it meant to be himself, chose to confide in you, “I don’t think I’m that bad.”
Your eyes deviated to the building in front of you. Still two figures. You wanted to ask the time, and you wanted to assure him he was not only not that bad, but really fucking great in your eyes.
And you couldn’t do both because life is about tough choices. The mission or him? Finally finding out who’s been poisoning the water system or letting out those feelings that have been eating at you for almost a year?
He gave you a way out because he knew how to read you. Because even in a vulnerable moment he had an unfair advantage over you. “I don’t think they’re coming.”
“Should we contact the others?”
‘We’ felt different now. Unbelievably intimate for two people who didn’t know what was going on between them.
“Tim might need backup,” he sighed.
Neither of you moved. You didn’t know what to say now, or if you should even attempt.
For the first time that night, he didn’t know either. So he contacted Tim directly and asked if he was safe before explaining himself.
“Should we get moving?” you softly asked.
Damian shook his head. “He wants us to wait here in case they’re trying to shake us off.”
Good plan. Or at least not the worst you had heard in the past three weeks.
You grabbed his wrist to look at the time. His breath faltered — he was kidding when he said you didn’t know what you did to him.
You chose not to comment on it when you used to stumble through your sentences around him. “Do these people not sleep?”
“We’re no one to talk.”
“Truuuuue, but at least we do cool things.”
Cool things like avoiding the fact that you two almost confessed your love for each other.
And beating assholes up. How could you forget that one?
You couldn’t take it any longer. You would regret it your whole life if the conversation was never finished. “I don’t want you to change, you know? I’ll admit I’d like to get to know you better... to know what’s up with you without making you say it and all that stuff, but not at the expense of your boundaries.”
“I can let you in,” he assured both you and himself. “I don’t have a problem with you knowing anything about me, as rare as it sounds.”
You gave him a small smile, unable to put into words what it meant to you. What he meant to you.
“I just hope I don’t scare you away,” he confessed.

I know they’re not the same, but the term “Hispanic” is just used to generalize all Latinos— at least in my area and as far as I’ve seen so the word “Hispanic” goes for all Latinos. Idk my brain just sees the word “Latino” as formal for some reason but it’s the same thing to me💀

i also feel like it’s hypocritical for ppl to make out natalie is a back stabber for dating corinna’s ex while corinna tries to fuck david constantly while being friends with liza. and i’m not saying that to make out corinna is a bad person bc i don’t think that - it’s just obvious that they find that thing okay as a friendship group

I was about to give him a lecture for being drunk at ten in the morning but he swore he was "squeaky clean". I couldn’t see him at the time but I knew for sure that he was smiling. I met her a month later and it was then when I found out that he didn’t even know her name yet when he called me. They kept laughing at each other the whole time and I knew right away that she was the one for him. Marriage is hard. Love is essential but that’s not enough. Things will get hard and when they do, you need someone to laugh with you. Today they’re getting married and I’m so glad I was right all along. I’m so very happy for you both, my loves. Don’t forget to keep making each other laugh. Always give each other the benefit of the doubt because you’re doing the best you know how with each other’s best interest in mind. GO to sleep angry in the same bed and talk it out in the morning when you wake up, I promise it is so much better than a screaming match in the middle of the night. Seek to understand and not only to be understood. Focus on how you’re loving and not how you’re being loved. May the love you share today grow stronger as you grow old together. ❤️

And don’t even get him started on the god damn Young Avengers and the like. Look if you’re gonna have a bunch of teenage superheroes on a team named after you then for fuck’s sake look after ‘em! But you can’t count on the Avengers for shit because they’re a fucking mess. So he can’t help himself trying to make sure everybody’s ok and no one thinks it’s alright to point a gun at a high school kid even if they do have superstrength and a brightly-colored costume.

DM: okay the swamp ooze is going to hit you (warlock)
Warlock: how about they hit the drowned maiden instead
DM: if they roll a nat 1, okay?
DM:…guys
Rogue: you said it! you said it!
DM: fine, okay, it goes to hit you and it slips and slams into the drowned maiden, aaand, I’m going to roll to see if they get grappled up in each other, and they do.
Artificer: it’s just like a giant glob of green gum in her long nasty hair?
DM: it’s exactly like that
(several rounds of combat later of the two continuing to fail to get out of their grapple)
DM: she just crit failed, these two cannot get out of each other

Okie dokie friendos. I have been gone for a while because health is important apparently?? Who woulda guessed it. Anyway I was sick and sad but nOW I’M BACK BBS. William Nylander doing the keke challenge or whatever the fuck it’s called. Also was inspired by Jenna and Julien podcast games sooooo here is the result. Hope you enjoy. Or don’t. Up to you really but I like the way it turned out so rad *Finger guns at you*
“Hey babe?” William asked coming into the room and sitting beside me on the counter where I was baking some peanut butter cookies.
“Yeah?”
“Can I ask you something? You can feel free to say no but it could be fun.”
“What is it Willy?” he had peaked my interest with this. You could never tell what he would ask, it was always a surprise.
“Weeeell you know the Leaf Nation website?”
“Yeah of course. What does that have to do with me though?”
“The producers thought it would be a fun idea to bring our girls for a show.”
“What kind of show?”
“Ours specifically would be a game seeing if I can guess your favourite songs. All of them would be games like that but ours is music because you like it a lot and honestly I think they think I’m going to be bad at it.” he said laughing at the end.
“I would love to do that baby, it sounds fun.”
“Okay good because I kinda already said we would do it.” he had a sheepish smile and I just hit his arm with a dish towel.
“You knew I’d say yes.” I stood in between his legs and hugged him. “I can never say no to you.”
“I know, it’s cute.” he said giving me a chaste kiss before jumping down from the counter. “Now you should maaaybe make a song list because we film this thing on Tuesday.”
“William! It’s Monday today!”
“Well I mean you’ve got all evening and tomorrow morning.”
“How long does this list have to be?”
“Probably about 50 songs roughly?”
“Oh my god..okay. I’ll do it after my cookies are done.”
The next day William woke me up much too early for my liking. To be fair I asked him to so I could make myself look presentable for this shoot. I was in the bathroom sitting on the floor curling my hair when he poked his head in, leaning on the door frame.
“Why are you doing all of this?”
“I don’t want to embarass you by looking like a bridge troll for all the fans.”
“You don’t ever look like a bridge troll. You’re beautiful always.”
“Shut up.” I said quietly rolling my eyes.
“It’s true babes. I’m going to make breakfast while you get ready.”
“Okay sounds good bean.” a little while after William left I had finally finished curling my hair. Or so I had thought. It had completely fallen straight again because I forgot to put hairspray in. I took a deep breath and put the curling iron down. I was really frustrated and pouty. It was still early, I could pout if I wanted to. I made my way downstairs to the kitchen and shoved my face into Willy’s back making him laugh.
“Hi there.”
“Hi.” I said mumbling into his back.
“What’s the matter (Y/N)?”
“Look at my dumb hair.” he turned around to see the half straight hair and the hair that was currently straightening itself.
“Oh baby, you forgot to put in hairspray in between layers didn’t you?”
“Yeah.” I said pouting again.
“No need to pout darling.”
“I just want to look pretty and not embarrass you but nothing is working out this morning.”
“You don’t ever embarrass me. Never. You could go in a big sweater with the hood up and leggings and you’d still look beautiful.”
“I might just have to be cozy today..” he came over and grabbed my face with his hands.
“I love when you dress cozy. You always look so damn cute.” he gave me a little kiss and I smiled into it. “Now go get dressed while I finish your breakfast you cutiepie.”
“Okay.” I kissed him again and went upstairs to find my favourite leggings. I quickly found them and put them on. I then went through the closet to try to find a big sweater. Mine were all dirty so I took one of William’s Leafs long sleeve shirts. It was huge on me but it looked cute and I was cozy so I didn’t care much. I put on a beanie and ran back downstairs.
“Wooooooow! Cutest lady I’ve ever seen.”
“Noo be quiet.” I said covering my smile with my sweater paws making him smile wider as he brought the food to the table.
After breakfast we lounged around for a little bit before we started driving to the ACC. We got there about 30 minutes before we started shooting and just hung out again for a little while. I put lavs on me and William while we were just waiting around and got them synced to the camera. William and Kasperi were teasing me for knowing how to do it all, but the cameraman who was running late appreciated the heck out of me. A few minutes later I was sitting across a small table from William.
“Okay so Will, you’re going to introduce yourself and (y/n) and say what we’re doing in this video. (y/n) can jump in if she wants but we just want you guys to interact like you normally do.”
“Alright.” he said.
“No problem.” I said smiling to him. And then we were being counted in.
“Hi guys I’m William Nylander and this is my beautiful girl (y/f/n). We’re going to be playing a game today right babe?”
“Yeah! It’s a fun game where we find out just how much attention Willy pays to what’s going on around him. I’ve made a list of my favourite songs and he has to guess them from bits and pieces of the songs.”
“Okay but do I just have to get the song?”
“Nah boi, you need the artist too.”
“Are you actually joking?” he asked smile dropping.
“No bb. You gotta get them both.”
“Pfft that’s fine.”
“Yeah okay.” I said sarcastically rolling my eyes at him. I pulled my legs up on the chair and got ready to start the game. “Are you ready to start ya big baby?”
“I guuuess.” he said sighing.
“Okay. Just a heads up none of the artists repeat, and they’re songs I’ve liked since the 10th grade until last week.”
“I hate it here.”
“Loooove yooou.” I say blowing him a kiss.
“Alright whatever let’s just start this game.” he said laughing.
“Are you ready?”
“Um yeah I’m gonna crush it.”
“We’ll see I guess. Here’s the first song. If you don’t get it I’m going to be personally insulted.” I put on the part of Fergalicious when Fergie is doing her fast rap part. He listened carefully for a few seconds.
“That’s Fergalicious by Fergie. Predictable to say the least.”
“Yeah you got it!”
“You made me learn it so you wouldn’t have to sing all parts by yourself there was no way I wouldn’t have gotten that one.” he said laughing and smiling sweetly at you.
“Okay next song!” I put on dancing in the street by David Bowie and Mick Jagger. I stopped it after a few seconds. “Alright cutie, what’s the song?”
“That’s all I get?!”
“That’s plenty!”
“Oh god.” he said putting his face in his hands. “Um...is it..is it David Bowie?”
“He’s one of the people in it. Who’s the other and what’s the song?”
“I honestly have no clue (y/n).”
“Disappointing. Dancing in the streets by Mick Jagger and David Bowie.”
“Whatever, next.” he said brushing it off.
“Okay baby what’s this one?”
“Sos from mama mia. It’s Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan.” he said after the opening half a second of piano.
“Yeah!”
“I knew there would be a mama mia one on here. You’re obsessed.”
“Nooo I just love it. Anyway next song.” I put on a part of this song where there was no lyrics at all just instrumentals and William sighed.
“I know that’s Halsey but I don’t know which one.”
“Take a guess.”
“Which one is the strange one? Strange love?”
“Yes you go babe!”
“Yes! Alright let’s go.” he reached over for a high five and I hit his hand with me shirt covered hand making him giggle. “You’re so cute.”
“Shut uuuuup.” I played the next song and William just looked confused.
“I think this is beach boys. You like them a lot.”
“You’re right it is the beach boys but which one?” he looked more confused as he thought. “William Nylander you can’t be serious. Come on babe you have to know this..”
“Surfing USA?”
“Oh. My. God.” I said resting my hand over my eyes. “Willy. I first heard this song on baby muppets the day my brother was born.”
“OH! Kokomo!”
“Yes. You don’t get the point though. That was pitiful.”
“Boo you.” he said pouting and I stuck my tongue out putting on the next few songs. He had gotten 10 in a row wrong and he was getting annoyed and I was laughing so hard I was crying.
“Okay baby let me give you an easy one.”
“You said that about the last 3.” I put the song on and he listened carefully.
“Come on I’ve been listening to this song for like a week straight on repeat.”
“It’s do it with you but I don’t know his name..is it Andrew something?”

“We aren’t even married!” he said laughing super hard. The song started and he started singing along to the la’s in crocodile rock. I did too, but I had been singing along to all of them. “That’s the crocodile rock by Elton John.”
“Yeah bb!”
“Yay no divorce.”
“Silly Willy we aren’t even married. Dummy.” he laughed again and he cried a little from laughing so hard. “Okay next.”
“No fair. This isn’t even in English (y/n).”
“So what’s the name of the song?”
“I have absolutely no idea. I don’t understand one word of this to even guess.”
“Do you know who sings it?”
“I think Nicky Jam.”
“Yes! It’s X. Solarte’s walk up song.”
“Baseball?” I nodded smiling. “Classic. I’m not shocked about that at all honestly.”
“Here’s the next one.” I put it on and started dancing to it dramatically making William laugh.
“That’s Billie Jean by Michael Jackson. Baby’s favourite MJ song.”
“Truuuuue. Okay here try this one.”
“Okay this song is a lie. You absolutely do NOT beg for attention in small doses. You want to literally overdose on attention.”
“Um wow spilling the tea all over me. Rude.”
“It’s loverboy by you me at six.”
“Yes.” I said shortly putting on the next song.
“This is 100% loveshack.”
“Are you kidding? Are you actually dumb?”
“No come on this is definitely loveshack by the b-52’s.”
“It’s the B-52’s but it isn’t loveshack.” I said laughing really hard. “Holy shit I’m crying.”
“Okay then what song is it smarty pants?”
“Rock Lobster. It’s rock lobster.”
“Fake news.”
“You can’t just claim fake news on facts!” I said laughing harder.
“Rock lobsters are fake news.” I started hiccuping in my laughter and then he knew he messed up. “Oh shit she’s in a mood now. Should we stop filming until she calms down?” the crew shook their heads. William shrugged and turned back to me making me erupt into giggles again. After about 20 minutes of me annoying everyone on the set I finally got myself calmed down enough to continue.
“Um okay here’s the next one..” I said brushing tears out of my eyes. I pushed play and waited for Willy to guess it.
“Oooh that’s yeah by my man Usher.”
“Yup you got it.”
“I know my Usher.”
“I know you do hun.” I said with a small smile. “Here guess this one.”
“Oooooo it’s Brittany bitch! Toxic by Brittany Spears?”
“Yeah boi.” I said chuckling quietly. We went through quite a few more pretty quickly. William got a mix of right and wrong. “Okay last one Willy.”
“I’m so ready babe.”
“Saved the best for last.”
“Now I’m worried.” he said while I pushed play and bit my thumb with a big smile waiting for it. “Oh my god I hate you.” he said putting his head in his hands.
“Do you know it?”
“You’re a shit.” he said with a smile.
“Do you know it?”
“Yes I know it. Unfortunately.” I giggled a little bit. “It’s Mr. Flaming hot cheeto head. Lil Yachty. And by the complex words I’m going to guess it’s called Good day.”
“You’s right lemuuur!”
“Good now turn this off before everyone’s ears start bleeding.”
“Oh my god it happened one time William.” I said crossing my arms and standing up wakling over to him.
“One time too many.” he said pulling me to sit on one of his thighs.
“I stopped listening to it that loud and it never happened again. I already apologized to Kapi like 9 million times.”
“I know baby. I love you.”
“Love you.” I said putting my head on his shoulder.
“Okay guys this has been a lot of fun. I think (y/n) now knows that I do pay attention.”
“Like half attention.”
“Well how am I supposed to pay full attention to music when I want to pay full attention to you singing and dancing?”
“Oh my gooooood. William that’s so cute it’s gross.” I said giggling again.
“Okay well bye guys.”
“Bye thank you for having me.” I say smiling to the camera.

I like restaurants, but you need a whole bunch of employees to operate (chef, servers, host…), so it’s not that easy
Yeah, restaurants in OFB are money-eating monsters with terrible staff problems, but my secret is that I don’t run them for fun or profit, I run them so I can open up a fancy place where no one is allowed to order mac & cheese.
I think I will set Duat’s up as an owned nightclub for now. The kitchen will still be there if I change my mind. ( @simlishnoir says that you can’t visit home-businesses anyway, which is information I probably blocked because I don’t want it to be truuuuue.)

god apparently we need to get some things straight about this Rose Christo business, because the way that certain parts of tumblr respond to things like this is really poor.
"take what is posted on kiwifarms with a grain of salt" is a good, healthy practice that allows you to verify information.
"everything that is posted on kiwifarms is automatically false/made up/a lie by virtue of being posted on kiwifarms" is stupid as hell.
i don't like kiwifarms, and i don't think that should come as a surprise to anybody, but that doesn't make everybody who posts on KF is wrong about everything. the fact that her brother posted information, which Rose then presumably read and posted about on her (public!) twitter, makes it very likely that he's telling the truth about this situation.
the world is not divided into "people whose morals align with mine" and "evil, hatemongering liars who never tell the truth." stop playing into cushy lies that make you feel good inside. stop enabling people's sob stories in some fucked up attempt to increase the diversity of your world view. stop insisting that truth is in the hands of the person who claims victim status the fastest.
Rose Christo, whatever her intentions or beliefs, is operating on a fact of certain tumblr circles. that fact is that social capital is awarded to people based on aspects of their identities or experiences--people of color, LGBT people, abuse survivors, et cetera are given more of a platform and are more celebrated than others. there are some legitimate reasons for this, but the way that it folds out in these circles often leads to a couple of things:
1. people faking their identities for an extra boost/personal attention/gain of that social capital;
2. people insisting that anybody who claims these identities must be telling the truth, because otherwise you're upsetting the status quo of giving them an elevated status.
if you say that Rose Christo fabricated any part of her story, then you're accused a lesbian of color who survived child abuse and the foster care system of lying. that leads to backlash on anyone who doubts the story, whether they're on tumblr or on kiwifarms. people KNOW this when they claim oppressed identities that they don't actually have.
(for the record, i'm not saying that all of her story was fabricated. i'm not saying that she never went through abuse, that she isn't a lesbian, etc. i'm saying that all of these things together, with whichever parts are lies, are protective against criticisms and accusations.)
and if those accusations are specifically coming from somebody from kiwifarms--well, you can just breathe a sigh of relief now. surely somebody from KF is maliciously making up lies. they say "autistic" as an insult and they bully people, so why would any individual member of the forum /ever/ be telling the truth? Rose's morals are better than [Rose's brother]'s morals, so we have a clear winner here! no need to delve deeper into the story in any sense, because we can just let social capital via X Identity solve it for us.
like...no. that's not how this works, that's not how any of this works. care more about the pursuit of truth than about picking apart the membership of anyone involved. look at how each person is respectively acting, look at who is providing evidence.
this is getting rambly. also, please don't come whining to me about defending KF. i do not give a shit about KF. i give a shit about what's being said there, but i'd care just as much if it was posted on facebook or here or something. this performative "wellllll he's from kf so hooooow could this be truuuuue?" bullshit is just annoying to me either way.

It’s no common mistake that Taylor has had quite a connection with 5H for a long time now, apart from being the girls favorite at one point too. But it’s also no common mistake that she’s known for being “ the queen of PR games” in the music industry.

Our main focus though is something similar between Tay and Lauren.
This is all observational based on recent discoveries.
Also yes before anyone says anything, I am aware that they come from different places inside of the music industry but Celebrity Culture makes no exceptions for anyone.
I know some harmonizers have beef against her for whatever reason it may be but stay with me this reaaaaallllly isn’t about beef. Or is it?
Speaking of beef, how about them hot dogs? Wait- uh I mean strawberries? Both?
Actually, let’s talk about connections. They’re important. Public Relations? They’re important. In case you don’t know what Public Relations are let me firmly break it down for you in capital letters, P.R. What is P.R? A relationship between celebrities and their public.
Example:
PR is having your fans take pictures of you and your “bf” when you want to make something look less staged because you know there are no paps around. It’s making your “boyfriend” wear an I heart TS shirt while your professional photographers lurk around the same beach taking pictures of you that you’ll post a day later on IG. Speaking of a day later, you’ll take pictures the same exact day and post them on IG days later making it seem like they were taken days apart. ( This is what we call a late- a - gram.)
It’s also having other people post pictures of you both on their IG that loook naturaaaal.
A lot of people spotted her PR right away because Tay’s PR tactics became downright messy.
But there was one Public Relation that Tay did that we’re going to talk about today. That might make you wonder if Tyrex really is what they’re trying to make it seem.
Anyways monumentally let’s get to the point:
First Similarity:
Lauren is a feminist right?
Well, Taylor just so happens to also be a feminist.
So, these two wonderful human beings in their own way were put into a relationship with people WHO ABSOLUTELY DO NOT MATCH THEIR MORALITY.
Truthfully anyone would know that a feminist being with a sexist asswipe does not fucking make any sense, to begin with.
CH and TY are both, in fact, sexist, womanizing bad boys that objectify women.
Why would a feminist suddenly date someone that goes completely against what they’ve been preaching?
The sexist x feminist chime gives this wave of disaster a bit of a controversial spin that creates drama, which everyone loves to be a part of.
Also, it doesn’t matter how recent or how late the evidence that proves they’re sexist is because it doesn’t change the fact that it happened.
Second Similarity:
Boys and girls pull out your popcorn because you’re about to go on the ride of your life! Hah! More like oops I did it again.
See let’s call this the cheating game, where two feminists are accused of cheating after finding their good ol' truuuuue love.
It all started with someone posting a picture of them together on Instagram. Just how Lauren’s recent dating rumor emerged off of the interwebs. Not going to get real in depth with this since this is a Lauren/Camila blog. But let’s just say:
An Ex Came Into The Picture
And Media Tabloids Started A Cheating Scandal.

We all have social media right? Well, we’re talking about Instagram more specifically which I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned about 5 times in this post.
As a wise man once said, “Whoever controls the [social] media, controls the mind” Jim Morrison.
It’s no surprise that Taylor openly posted very orchestrated photos of her “relationship” one after another with CH on IG. Even though she stated SHE WANTED TO KEEP HER NEXT RELATIONSHIP PRIVATE. Do you know who else likes to keep her relationship low-key?
Now let’s see here,
Lauren seems to presumably be taking the same route. Both of the humans involved are encouraging the said rumors with various different pictures on each other’s social medias/tweets. For example, the picture somebody else took with them in the background supposedly kissing.
Remember what I mentioned at the beginning of this post?

They’re pushing out an idea that they’re together and that’s where I think of Taylor’s use in her PR and PR is definitely easier to do now all with the touch of a screen.
And if this fandom has learned anything look at Lucy and Lauren.

2. They spent each others birthdays together.
3. Tay’s manager was often seen with them most of the time and they were never alone always had other people with them. The orange haired woman is Tay’s manager.

Animals are cute right? Boyfriends are cute right? Well, what about boyfriends and cute animals?

You see these cute kittens? They were being babysat by Tay’s “bf” and CH took it to snapchat so everyone could see that he was in fact at Taylor’s house while she was outperforming.
You know who else was taking care of a cute puppy while their mom was out and put it on their social media so everyone would know it’s her dog? Hmmmmm that’s right:
Then they made sure everyone knew they were together by having Leo on both their IG.

Magnus REALLY wants a medal with a burly handshake on it. Somehow that's not even surprising.
Brad? I think I have heard of this guy… well, not heard of, he gets shipped with people on AO3. In fics I didn't read because I had no idea who he was.

Noelle, Carey, Killian and Angus going together is kind of adorable and kind of, uh, yeah, still creepy. They're ALREADY good friends, I don't think they needed whatever this experience is.

Okay, Brad being a Bard of motivational speech is actually pretty amazing.
I wouldn't have guessed what the bridge was supposed to teach them, either.
Griffin DID say magic items. Magnus is the only one who ever remembers he's got a basic adventurer's kit.
Honestly, if they were meant to do any of these challenges the normal way I think they should have been made to leave TAAKO at the door. He thinks in magic.
Taako kicks Merle for being a dumbass and trying to jump a wall he could have stepped over. Then Merle tries to trip him. All in all, this is not increasing anyone's capacity for teamwork.

*cracking up* No one, NO ONE, plans for these guys.
*snort* Magnus deliberately doesn't catch Brad. Which tells you something about Magnus, really. He'd have done it from fifteen feet, sure, he doesn't want anyone hurt, but when it comes to making you feel welcome he's often a REAL JERK.
Also, by contrast, he just hasn't put Taako DOWN.
Brad managed to make Magnus AND Travis feel bad, though.

And I would like to note, Taako is just chilling on Magnus' shoulder through this whole scene.
Taako DID actually do the trust fall correctly, even if it was mostly out of complete boredom. He knew Magnus would catch him.

Constructive Criticism? From THESE guys? I feel like they're about to have way too much fun with this and not be in any way constructive.
"(T) Magnus: Sometimes you cast spells without any consideration of whether or not it might injure me specifically."
That's fair, yes.
*laughing* I can't believe Taako's counted as constructive. I really can't.
I suppose all their criticism WAS constructive, it was just, uh. The phrasing. I mean, Taako should be more careful about who is in the way of his spells, Merle should remember he has healing spells more often, and Magnus should think before rushing in.
Brad's is just kind of embarrassing. Whatever.
"(G) Art: In here, you'll face a deadly opponent. It's up to you to work together, protect each other, and take him down, carefully. Please."
Look, if you mean it's a guy DRESSED UP as a deadly opponent, you should say that, because these guys aren't good at implications.
Don't hit him with an AXE, Jesus, I know you guys are bad at non-lethal fighting, but have SOME middle ground between confusedly enhancing his abilities and hitting him with an AXE.
Empty chest… the real treasure is friendship, isn't it?
"(T) Magnus: We've done a lot of shit together that was like way worse than this.

Welp. Honest, but not a good idea.
Okay, they haven't EXACTLY been in dungeons. But they've definitely been running around in underground places full of monsters.
Oh dear, body swapping! That might actually teach them some teamwork, I guess, since the problem so far has been that they're too competent with their own stuff. Er. Well, not entirely, but definitely enough not to need helping over a bridge.
Magnus just casts the first spell he thinks of on the first person he thinks of, because of course he does.
Magnus is more helpful with Taako's magic than Taako is :P
Or not. The levitate helped, summoning Garyl, not so much.
…and then he puts Garyl in his pocket. Was this just about stealing Taako's pet?
Taako wants his body to be teamed up with Brad, since Brad is competent. Fair.
You can put Taako in a cleric's body, but you can't make him be careful with his damned spells!
Taako managed to cast it in a different direction at the last moment.
I was surprised Taako was so ready to fall backwards off an actual 15 foot wall, but it's not Taako, it's Magnus. Who is ready to fall off anything.
Taako/Justin is disappointed there's no spells in Merle's list he can use for back up just in CASE someone doesn't catch him. But he does fall.
*cracks up* Taako WANTS Magnus to let him fall and grab the ruby. Priorities!
Merle, just FALL.
…although, I mean, this IS Taako catching, and we know the wall tempts your catcher with rubies, so…
Yeah. Yeah. The thing with the dagger might have been SAFER. Magnus had to save him with feather fall.
"Griffin: Uh, You make it to the fourth trial, [Audience laughing] You guys make it to the fourth trial which is the Totem of Constructive Criticism, and in place of all four of these heroes, are four fucking skeletons, and here's why. Not a single one of you followed the constructive criticism that you offered the person whose body you currently inhabit, from the first round of trials."
*laughing* It's truuuuue. Taako was still really reckless with his magic. Magnus still rushed in. Merle still hasn't healed anyone. Brad hasn't… well, I'm kind of glad he hasn't opened up? This isn't really the TIME.
Oh, no, wait. They were meant to follow the constructive criticism AS that person. Taako didn't heal. Merle rushed in as Magnus. Magnus wasn't careful with magic (although I think he hasn't actually HURT anyone?) Anyway.
Taako's actually really good with Merle's spells. And in real danger they suddenly DO know how to do teamwork, because the idea is for all of them to get out alive at that point.
I honestly don't think they're going to learn anything, because they're ALWAYS like this. Terrible until they need to be there for each other.
Uh. Is Taako's body still IN the ribcage he just cast flamestrike on?
Yes. Yes it was. Taako, a little CARE with the magic?
(Can you imagine when it was both him and Lup? How many things did they set on fire, turn into things, or otherwise just destroy because they didn't think about WHERE they were casting that spell?)
…It worked on Magnus. I mean, he DID say they were like his family.
*laughing* Okay, that was funny.
Pointless, really, since, uh. They're like that ANYWAY. Magnus has made mooshy speeches about friendship at the drop of a hat before. Taako always remains, at least outwardly, preoccupied with trinkets. Merle is grumpy. They pull together when they need to.
So, yeah, I don't think they learned anything, really.
