Hmmm. thinking about overshot….
#I’ve always loved the aesthetic of overshot patterns but I also know I only really wear plain garments with mayyybe a lil texture#but then I was looking thru my grandmas saris and I thought. why not make a heavily patterned border with a plain body like a sari#then I could make a skirt out of thattt#of course I would have to actually learn overshot first#and then get better at warping#and then after all that I would have to make the skirt in panels because my loom is narrow lollll#I could just make a skirt out of one of the saris because I don’t wear them as saris#but I did that with my moms a long time ago and let me tell u#sacriligious#felt so bad#also it was silk which i had never worked on so#dress came out nice tho!!!#I actually paid attention to the pattern so it would look nice on the dress#and I used the petticoat for the lining so it was a real zero waste affair#all this to say….it seems my sentimental ass values my own weaving less than my grandmas clothing#she did give me those saris just to use as sewing fabric

Not Arya, Robb, and Jon catching strays for not "warning" Sansa about Joffrey?? As though they didn't all meet him at the same time and have equal opportunity to understand what he was like?? It just blows my mind that somehow everybody can be blamed for her actions regarding Joffrey but Sansa herself. Apparently, she can't be expected to understand anything because nobody sat down and slowly explained everything to her using small words (not even when Ned does just that lol). And then they just ignore the fact that Sansa had a crush on Joffery and actively wanted to marry him? To the point of excusing his behavior when she witnessed his cruelty first-hand? Then they pretend that she was just "coping" with her engagement when she actively argued against Ned breaking it and went to Cersei because she thought she could stop him from doing so. There's no way they like her actual character if this is what they have to come up with to cope with her writing.

"Ned doesn't know how to talk with Sansa" Okay but like…where though? Where is it actually anywhere in the books that Ned has trouble speaking with Sansa? Or that he doesn't know how to handle her or "what to do" with her? The conflict people try and invent between them is just so...forced. I wish people would just let it go and stop trying.

BT somehow comprehending that time has just gone back several seconds. Offering Cooper words or encouragement. Something tells him he's been here enough times, once you go through those doors you need to duck and cover or else a Stalker is going to shoot you. It's real, for them, but something is taking them back, giving them a second try, a third try, however many tries it takes to get it right.

yknow I've been thinking about what dream looks for in friends and lovers and I've noticed that it's not necessarily people that are mean to him, but people that are direct. dream himself deals in metaphor and manipulation, it's simply what he is, so just about everything within his realm that he's encountering consistently will be such that as well. considering both his own tendencies, the environment it breeds, and his whole Thing about guilt and choice, it makes sense he would choose people who are clear and honest with him. he wants someone who will tell him how it is, but not what to do with that—even when it's not really what he wants, dream knows it's what he can need. I think that's why figures like lucienne, matthew, death, and yes, mervyn can be important! on some level, dream knows he's convoluted and shifty by nature, and he's tried to combat that with concise words and mind-melting beauracracy, but it can't fix everything. he likes people to keep him in check and I think that is the most self-awareness he has ever been capable of. so... clap? no? idk. nod acknowledgingly.
