thony/arman 👀
What made you ship it?
1. The way this man drops everything the moment he realizes Thony needs help. He kidnapped a man for her. And how does he say it? Anyone who doesn’t notice you is blind? God. God. I just. How could I not ship it? Oh god and she sees him too. It’s the respect and the devotion and the seeing and being seen. The partnership
2. What are your favorite things about the ship?
Even though she is on uneven footing with him she has know problem demanding what she wants and needs. For herself or for her son. Her family. And he respects her. He looks at her and respects her. She makes a plan for how she wants to handle something? He may have a few arguments or clarifying questions but once he knows she’s right? God what wouldn’t he do for her. But really. He just. He respects her. God. I’m fine about it.
3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
I have no idea. I’ve seen like two other people talk about these two so what do I know about what’s popular about them? Here. This isn’t like an unpopular opinion really but when I got to the scene where Thony kisses Arman I couldn’t believe how much people who saw it before me undersold that kiss. Me watching that scene like wow. I was unprepared.

Really feels like nature is healing with them singing going back to hogwarts for the first time in 3 whole years and having so many OGs back and seeing how much they still love it, but I’m still feeling totally normal emotions about them

The second he realizes Donna is upset and panicking because they were suddenly taken away from Rose and god knows where in the universe, he took her and kissed her hand and held it against his hearts as he looked into her eyes and promised to get her home. He is comforting her and grounding her. Fourteen really is able to show so much more physical affection and vulnerability. So much more of the love he has in him. He's able to be there for Donna as a friend in a way the Doctor has struggled to do all his life. (x)

"how are you?" well did you know that in sea of monsters percy keeps a picture of annabeth on him at all times when she's away for the school year and that she emailed him these pictures from her trip to california with her dad and this kid probably looked through the pictures so much and one day he chose to pick his favorite and download it and (ask sally how to) print it and cut it out and stuck this little picture of annabeth chase in his probably busted up school binder so that sometimes he could take it out and look at it and remember that she exists and is his friend and-

since there's an impressionist royal portrait in the zeitgeist right now, do you wanna hear about one of my fav norwegian oil painters........ his name is håkon gullvåg and he's painted portraits of the norwegian king and queen and they look like this
which were pretty controversial at the time (the year 2000), but i was too baby to know anything about it!
(the headline says "UNDIGNIFIED!")
i first heard of him when he was on the news for a completely different controversy around the years 2008/2009 - his exhibition titled 'the holy land'/'terra sancta' which was a series of paintings he had painted in a wild unstoppable rage over the injustices he had seen palestinians suffer. at one of the exhibitions in syra, two of the paintings got removed by the french embassy, and i think never returned to him? i'm finding it surprisingly difficult to hunt down the story without knowing exactly what to look for, but i did dig up this article. i was still a young teen at the time so i didn't know much about the context, but in recent times i've been thinking about these paintings a lot. i'll add the Controversial Paintings under the cut:

i know the hunger games isnt about romance i know it isnt a love story but. theres just something so beautiful in the way peeta is the personification of what it means to heal and he /is/ the dandelion and the bread and the hope that things can be better even if they wont be fixed. even if the nightmares dont stop he will still hold her. wake her up and tell her shes alive. shes safe. and when its over and done and theres no more saving or protecting or trying their absolute hardest to die if it means keeping the other alive, the horrors dont stop. but katniss will still find that comfort in peetas arms.
