Why are ppl scared to call it what it is and say we’re still going thru covid on top of seasonal illness. Like. That’s pretty important right. I was watching the news and they were like oh yeah we have an unprecedented number of flu cases “as well as other sicknesses” without actually saying Covid. No announcement abt vaccinations or masking or anything. Also if I hear someone joking abt “war flashbacks” for mentioning covid I fucking hate u

#source: most of my family members are nurses and it was so bad for one of them they had to be put on a ventilator. in the hospital they #worked at. looking back I think I had a reason to feel a little offput by the shows of support early pandemic #with people tying blue ribbons around trees and lighting signs blue to support healthcare workers #I get that it was supposed to be moral support when we couldn’t do anything but follow health advisories #and it did matter to make them feel uplifted and do something than nothing. im not gonna deny that #but. you can still help now. u know that right. you still have a responsibility here #u can still mask up. u can still get vaxxed and call in sick to avoid infecting others #don’t leave it on healthcare workers to pick up the pieces just because they were doing it before. do u think they had a choice?#nobody likes picking up the slack for someone else and now that we have more tools to do smth couldn’t we just. do it????#im not a virologist but i also feel like continuing to let it get worse by letting more mutations develop #could continue to set us back since this virus is pretty good at fucking us up long term and finding new ways to do that #while there are ppl still researching covid which is STILL A RELATIVELY NEW VIRUS. and studying possible treatment and cures #yapping #vent

Apparently 5am is put lights on the Christmas tree o'clock

#pretty sure i woke up because the air is so dry #but then i couldnt get back to sleep #and my brain decided we need to put the lights on the tree RIGHT NOW #its been up for 3 days #but i havent had time to decorate it #and no one else in the house will put the lights on

I'm back home, showered and in bed with my heating pad. I did not murder anyone at the event, which is good. We were lied to however, about what was required for us to bring, which I'm not surprised about. I don't want to have to repeat it all tomorrow, even if it's on a smaller scale. I'm tired.

But at least the ham tasted good and the crumble, while much less sweet than last time, was good and I didn't have to stay until super late. Small victories.

#vent post #look i like my in-laws but this year I'm just not feeling social #i sick of being judged because i need to sit in specific chairs and can't help with a lot of the cleanup #i get told in the same breath that a lot of my problems are probably because of my cats but then get asked if i want a new one #because someone has a problem cat they don't want to deal with anymore but they won't let it get adopted out #and also get told I'm probably pretty happy that mine are all starting to die off because i clearly have too many #no one told us there was going to be a gift exchange so we didn't bring anything #which is fine because we were planning to leave early anyway #I'm tired of dealing with people right now #I'm feeling very overwhelmed and at a breaking point #and i want to tell my partner that i don't want to spend my birthday helping my mother in law take down her tree #i don't want to have to cater to her on a day i already associated with bad things #i just want to lay in bed if I'm not allowed to go anywhere fun

can someone tell me why after years and years of struggling with acne it got better when i started washing my face with body wash. do you know how much money and time i've wasted on acne face wash and treatments.

#what happened was i lost my job and could no longer by face wash because all of it costs like $20+#so i was like fuck it i still need to wash my face. and used my body wash #my face is practically clear now #it wasn't super bad before tbh it was the worst when i was way younger #but now its pretty much clear which im happy about. but also im like youre fuckin kidding me right #years and years of trying tea tree oil. and tons and tons of different products.#and what cleared my face up even more than acne spot gel even is my $5 BODY WASH????????#AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH #my text

happy new year :) i spent the evening playing some splatoon, then some persona, and now im playing new leaf. oh and i had sushi

My mom thought we were going to wait until tomorrow to get all the decorations out of the shed and set up the tree but while she and my dad were visiting my niece today I went ahead and did it all (with a little help from Steve of course). I am….so tired but also so happy it’s finally done!!

#it really doesn’t look like a lot but my god getting all that stuff out of the shed #and up then up onto the porch and into the house #I am so strong and sexy #even though I accidentally broke one of my favorite ornaments #it’s not a sentimental one just a pretty one we’ve had for years #and iiiiiiii broke it!!!#but other than that no disasters or fires!!!#i also got a some actual work work done today and some laundry #so very productive day #there’s still more decorations I brought from the shed but i’m too tired to do those right now #the tree and carrying all of it up the house was the big thing so the rest can wait til tomorrow #anyway hope everyone’s having a good week and enjoying whatever weather you’ve got!
