I know that Alex was severely lacking in the braincell department in season 3 but I'm wondering how Yassen got it in his head that he and Alex would be assassin buddies and weapons for Scorpia forever despite Alex's everything
Did he expect Alex to fall in line and lose his morals and emotions after killing Mrs Jones? Despite seeing how stubborn he is??
Was it wishful thinking or a desire to recreate his dynamic with John? Or something else entirely?
#yassen didn't have any brain cells either#like from the moment he told alex to look for scorpia he lost his braincell rights#they got revoked#it all stems from him being so obsessed with hunter that when he sees hunter's son he must honor everything hunter did for him#so in his messed up little head he was like i can protect him if he joins me as an assassin even though i know hunter didn't want that for#me and most definitely would not have wanted it for his son#especially in the show he's trying to convince alex to let go of his emotions because he thinks that's what john taught him to do and its#helped him survive this long. and if he can teach it to alex they can both live in relative safety because the mistake yassen made when he#was young will not be repeated by his son#he just wanted to have the domestic 9-5 assassin life and cook alex and himself dinner while they both made a ton of money killing people#i dont think any of what i just said was even slightly coherent forgive me i just finished an 8 hour shift at work after barely sleeping#last night. i am also severely lacking in the braincell department much like these two deranged weirdos (affectionate)#alex rider#yassen gregorovich#alex rider tv

The way that Yassen and Julia think about Alex differently based on their relationship with John is so interesting.
Julia is the obsessed and scorned false love.
Yassen is the former protege and friend.
Julia takes Alex's existence as an insult, proof that she was used and manipulated and wronged. Yassen takes his existence as a chance, a chance to repay John for training him and saving his life, and later he realizes that Alex isn't a sign of betrayal like Julia believes but in fact a sign of who John really was. The man who saved him when he had no reason to, the man that trained him, and the man that risked death to be a good husband and father.

at work i keep getting shown the “correct” ways to do things like sweeping the floor and it's driving me a bit crazy. like i can see you're doing it faster than me but can you let me do one thing at my own pace. please. because im doing it better, even if it's slower.
#i worked as a residential house cleaner because my mother was one#if she saw the way they want me to clean things she'd have a brain aneurysm#i work in a kitchen now btw#also its kind of like im sorry boss but thats not how my brain works#if you hand me a broom and tell me to sweep i won't be able to stop until the floors are clear enough to my personal liking#they swept so fast and aggressively for max 10 seconds. respect and everything but i took my time in a different section and guess what its#more clean#so let me have this#that in particular irked me for some reason. other corrections they've given me its fine idc#but my mother would set brooms on fire she only believed in vaccuming#so if you give me a broom i have to make the floor clean enough so my mother wont astral project into my work place to scream at me for not#doing a good enough cleaning job#no one show this to my boss though please its just between us#my text#this whole tantrum could also be because once i do something one way i can only do it that way forever and i dont want to change#im not a fast worker. but i promise i do my very best

#i think i broke multiple pairs of my headphones by doing this exact thing#so i bought bluetooth earbuds and wired earbuds so i can lay down on my sides and still be able to watch youtube or listen to asmr to sleep#i hate laying on my back and sometimes i don't want to sit upright
