Eclipse headcanons: Really likes soft things - blankets, pillows, bean bags (thanks Lunar) and perhaps extra secretly even plushies! This is a mix of the fact they help keep him warm on his bad days, and ease the pain and anxieties and the fact he had a beloved plush (mr howls) once.

ALSO because ND headcanons goes brrr i like to think he finds certain soft textures nice to stim with by running his fingers/claws through them!

If given the chance and if he learned that they exist, i feel like he would absolutely secretly sneak off to underground fighting rings to duke it out with others and indulge his love for fighting but in an enviroment where its allowed (granted he doesnt outright kill anyone) but whether this would actually be healthy for his mindset or not is debatable gjfkgh

Lunar headcanons: A LOT smarter than he lets on! A sly litle sh*t when he wants to be, the childish nature is a mix of genuine 'he's just like that' but also possibly exaggerated depending on the situation (like if he wants to twist something to go his way)

He's good at lying, very good and has high pain tolerance (those last two i picked out from the show back when Lunar was at his peak there and he lied to Eclipse's face without flinching when Eclipse turned Moon's pain onto him)

Likes heavy metal music (just cos i think it would be really funny)

KC headcanons: Very much bite and little bark by default, BUT in regards to Eclipse i feel like that would be mostly switched - mostly bark but little bite - but the bark is enough to keep Eclipse in line because oh sh*t dads angy-

He died at some point and thats a catalyst to why he started acting so cold toward Eclipse, or at least part of it - he lost some part of himself, his ability to express emotion was damaged in some way or him dying and coming back made him more hardened to the world and since he goes so strongly by logic he adopted a new mindset that in order to survive he'd have to be harsh and so projected that onto Eclipse also.

Also when he adopts Solar Flare, i feel like a big part of the jealousy on Eclipse's end will be possibly due to KC expressing some of his original softness towards Solar Flare because the emotionally distant cold approach he took with Eclipse before would not/will not work here (especially since Solar has emotional issues of his own, just the opposite to Eclipse and more like KC)

Rays headcanons: VERY observant and VERY sensitive to even the smallest changes in others moods/behaviours. This being due to the abuse he suffered under the evil lord Eclipse, and so he would have learned to be very hyper aware of his former masters moods and even the smallest of hints/warnings that he was in or approaching a foul mood.

Has a habit of putting himself inbetween others to explain on their behalf or even taking a hit (looking at that last one shot) because he's experienced enough to know how to handle a tense or violent situation. A quick thinker in high stress situations also for similar reasons.

On a lighter note, i think he'd also be very fond of fashion and wearing different types of clothes! Since he always wore the same thing for 200 odd years, i think having access to variety would be a huge thing for him (maybe he learns how to sew too so he can make his own!)

Veil headcanons: I think should he get past his anxieties, he'd really enjoy working with kids! He passes off as the type to be a performer, an entertainer to make kids laugh - can absolutely see him putting on puppet shows or clowning around more akin to a jester like Sun and Moon (and even Bloodmoon though they would very much not agree im sure fjkgh)

Absolutely can also see him having a great fondness for plushies, and i love to think he'd collect them too (like beanies or dolls or something) and decorate his room/bed with them (also as a bonus cute idea maybe Rays could make little clothes for them too!)

Bloodmoon headcanons: Despite their violent nature, like Veil i also see them as potentially greatly enjoying the idea of performing and being silly jesters! Imagine they watch Monsters INC and see how the monsters change from scaring kids to making them laugh and that sticks with them and maybe they try to work towards being more like that theirselves later down the line (with the bloodstone also helping to manage their condition it could make it a little easier)

But i feel if they did go that route they would perform on stage or in a space that separates people from them just to be safe, to prevent any accidents from occuring if someone gets a little too close. Also i like the idea if they are bored and by theirselves they might playfight or chase each other in the headspace of their shared body! (or play Uno /hj)

—ECLIPSE—

Confirm:

Eclipse LOVES blankets, pillows, and specifically the beanbag that Lunar allowed him to rest on during his recovery :) the warmth consoles him that he’s still alive

Eclipse ADORES plushies, and that’s nurtured by the fact that KC liked to get him one every now and then to lift his spirits. Mr. Howls was his first! He also occasionally got them from the kids :,)

HE LOVES SOFT BLANKETS ESPECIALLY he sleeps with one that he often stims with when he needs time to decompress

Other notes:

The fighting ring idea is honestly so cool, I never even considered that…I would deny that, since it hadn’t come to mind and thusly wouldn’t have been canon, but I like the idea so much that it gets the canon stamp. Maybe for a darker, more brutal drabble (Halloween perhaps?) I could allow Eclipse to…indulge himself…

—LUNAR—

Confirm:

He’s actually quite brilliant! He just uses his intelligence in different ways :)

The innocence is a bit of a facade, but, you’re right, not completely.

He is an incredible liar and has decent pain tolerance compared to say…Sun or Moon, for example. He’s pretty good at taking hits- a lot like Rays, which is one of the reasons they get along.

Other notes:

Heavy metal? Possibly. I could see that. I personally think that he likes classical! He actually HATES children’s music (nursery rhymes, lullabies, exc.) but heavy metal would be good for times that he needs to scream LMAO

Confirm:

Attack first, think later! You’d be right, it tends to lean more towards bite no bark in tense situations! However, you’re also correct when it comes to it being switched for Eclipse…he’s still KC’s son, no matter what.

It’s been practically confirmed (I’m awful at keeping secrets) that KC has died. A lot of the “brain” functionalities within KC never came back online after he was brought back, and thusly it’s emotions remained very subdued as a result. Consider it a robot stroke. It feels random surges of emotion and then complete and total numbness, and eventually it just settled on hardening itself to the world because it was easier than trying to fix everything. It became bitter towards Eclipse for a few reasons, but those reasons eventually meant nothing to Eclipse because all he felt was the backlash.

Blood Moon’s jealousy arc is NOTHING compared to what Eclipse’s will be.

Confirm:

His AI was designed to learn and evolve, which means he actually has sensors that give him a readout on dangerous situations and/or shifts in mood. This can sometimes be swayed by his own anxiety, however.

Yes, those evolutions in his code were a result of the abuse he sustain from Lord Shithead.

He is the resident target practice! He does put himself in between disputes quite often, as he sees himself as more of a buffer than an actual sentient being.

Thinks and makes so many possible predictions of situations at a very quick rate. Thusly how he was already up the ladder urging Eclipse to come over with Veil in the most recent drabble ;)

Lunar and Sun are teaching him how to sew :) he loves to wear dresses and skirts since his former asshole lord would always berate him for it before. So homophobic smh

Children? Children! He’s already quite curious about them, so it’s more than likely that he’ll end up helping out down there once he’s calmed down a bit. Who knows, maybe he’ll drag Eclipse with him ;)?

Main difference between present Eclipse and Veil: Veil jests in a not-malicious way. He loves acting out scenes in his head, or voicing characters in a book he’s reading. Puppet-shows would be a BLAST with him involved!!

Confirm:

They love performing for the kids! On their less-violent days they beg Sun to let them use the theater for a show, and sometimes Sun begrudgedly allows this on the condition that they don’t step off the stage.

They agree because they don’t want to hurt the kids anyways, if the urge would arise.

They do play with one another quite a lot :D their favorite game is tag, but instead of just touching the other they tackle each other and roll around. Whoever emerges on bottom is it!

Eclipse installed Battleship into their system. They’ve never been the same since.

It’s the main reason they went insane really /j

Alright here's the results for the 2024 Precure Hopes and Predictions!

Q1: Hopes for the theme of the season?

Art theme! Or something winter-related (a precure team located in Hokkaido? That would be so cool!)

I would like a season based on a combination of gemstones and popular hobbies like arts, sports, and science. It can have a moral theme of "finding your inner sparkle, your one true talent."

I've always thought that season-based characters (spring, summer, etc.) were really fun, with lots of possibilities as far as power and design go! But it would be harder to have a sixth ranger, and we've just had a 4+1 season, so I'm not too hopeful… I guess I'd like a story around art (like, each of the girl represent a certain form of creativity?) We've had lots of cures who were artist of some kind, but their interests are rarely reflected by their cure powers!

I'm kind of curious, since Toei got pretty original with the colour scheme this year… My guess is, either they'll go for something super conventional like Healin Good or Delipre, or they're going to keep their "unique color scheme" streak.

Similar to ALaMode it can be the standard trio (PBY), followed by a red and purple duo, and later joins a vibrant green.

pink, blue/teal, purple, black/white/grey would be super cool!

Pink leader (current season was too revolutionary, time for Toei to get back to a safer structure), a yellow/orange, a blue one, a mixed weird color joining mid-season and hopefully a green cure

Hopefully there'll be more than one villain active at the same time, Hirogaru Sky was honestly kind of disappointing in that regard (it does not help that the first villain's debut came with a fart joke).

I'm fine with another pink, yellow and blue Cures, but please, at least try to make them different by using different shades of said colors. There are so many, don't settle for the most basic color palette.

If it doesn't happen, I could always make fancures instead.

I really want a cure who becomes an engineer of some kind in the epilogue. Specifically a girl becoming an engineer

I am sure it will not be what I want XD but precure prove me wrong this year!

I would love unique flower motifs for each cure. All of the possibilities!

Mythology would also be a fun theme, but the Tropical team had a phoenix and so did Cure Wing, so they would probably try to space that out.

The cures' designs would be based on wild cats and domestic cat breeds: maine coon, norwegian forest cats (e.g cure forrêt), serval, jaguar. There would be a cat goddess (who could possibly also be a precure)!

Male Cure, Twins as cures, a disabled cure, a chubby cure, and a cure of color (like Elena)

I think it'd be neat to have the main trio be required to transform together as a call-back to Black/White, Bloom/Egret, Melody/Rhythm, Miracle/Magical, and Macherie/Amour, plus to keep celebrating 20 years of Precure

i want scifiesque magical girls i feel like theres been lots of fairytale themeing recently and i want something very different also the idea of the midseason cure being the pink one amuses me greatly

Random list of elements that (I think) haven't been done that much in a precure season: 1) Have cures be siblings/give a significant role to a cure's sibling. 2) Have characters actually be in a romance! I know precure has a young demographic, so romance isn't exactly important, but it's a bit tiresome how many precure romances tend to be unresolved crushes that are dragged throughout the season! I don't care if it's girl/girl, girl/boy or boy/boy, it would just be nice to see characters confess to each other and have their relationship build from there throughout the story. 3) I know there have been debates on relationships between the cures and the villains, how redeemable the villains are, how much the cures should be concerned about them, etc., but I'd like Toei to play on that dynamic more. Maybe a villain questioning their allegiance, or even turning out to be a mole for the good guys! Or on the opposite side, a cure joining the bad guys willingly, whether misguidedly or to become a mole themselves! 4) Fun stuff with the mascots! The mascots are a family! A mascot is a family member of a cure (don't ask me how that works!) Secretely-a-villain mascot! Mascot who is reluctant in their role and a bit cranky! 5) Families and non-magical friends being a relevant part of the cures' life. To be fair, it has been done several times, but it's always nice to see. 6) Boarding school!

hi omg no problem!! love talking about them love talking about music love talking about seventies music so this is great xx in regards to the bands they love, and particularly s, i generally imagine this changing depending on the era? as in the bands that he is into as a fourteen year old are not the bands he's into when he's twenty. so that will sort of affect my rankings xx this got very long! especially due to my long-winded and unnecessary explanations. so it's all going under the cut xx also i know it says bands but i interpreted that as just artists in general hope thats okay xx

him!! my stuck-in-the-sixties boy!! the specific order isn't necessarily accurate, but these are the sort of groups/artists i imagine him liking--as well as special mentions to the velvet underground/bob dylan/donovan/joni mitchell/kate bush/pink floyd probably some of the beatles' solo careers in the seventies--e.g. wings/paul mccartney's ram/george harrison's all things must pass. i tend to imagine his tastes being more suited to the sixties than the seventies in general, though (think he'd prefer it to the glam + punk rock of the seventies although he may have liked some early bowie xx). i think he'd enjoy new wave in the late 70s/early 80s possibly more than he'd enjoy punk, but also he's spending that time being utterly depressed so i don't know how on-it he is in regards to following the latest cultural trends and movements.

okay i'm not sure i have a ranking for this one--it's harder because i can't imagine him actively hating much. and i feel like if he didn't like a certain type of music he just wouldn't engage with it. but thinking about bands in the 70s i can't imagine him having an awful lot of time for your AC/DCs, ur aerosmiths, slade, kiss, led zeppelin, black sabbath...metal as a genre.

right i know this is a bit of a cop-out of a list. and the order once again doesn't really mean anything more than what came to mind first because honestly again it would all depend on the specific era/year you're talking about but. i've said before i imagine him moving from glam rock + proto-punk into punk + especially british punk as the seventies progresses...i do think artists like bowie and roxy music and t. rex would've had pretty big effects on him at a young age, and i think though he wouldn't have much time for most of the sixties the rolling stones might still be of interest to him. the thing is by the time he's old enough to get into glam rock its being going on for a bit, which is why the fact that he's around for the very start of punk would make it so exciting for him, because its something that belongs to his age group and its something he can actually get involved in. if he'd managed to stay out of prison for just a few more years i probably would've also included xtc (though he would've been around to enjoy drums and wires and black sea which are both good albums xx) but i think glam rock and punk are the main two genres for him.

out of all four lists this was. probably easiest honestly although its less a ranking and more just a list as they came to mind but. i think he would enjoy hating the beatles--they're done, they're yesterday's news, they're old-fashioned and i really can't imagine any of their discography being of much interest to him personally. although he'd make allowances for how much r likes them. unlike r, i think s would sort of revel in being a bit of a hater (like me) so a lot of the rest of this list is just big seventies artists that while he would have been exposed to, he wouldn't have liked. i've talked b4 about the queen thing but in the interest of being thorough here i'll once again make my argument that he would not have liked queen xx if you think s liked queen its probably because he actually liked sparks instead. sparks sound like what i think a lot of people seem to think queen sound like. queen do not fit the rock n roll/punk rock image that he gets given a lot and while i absolutely love good old fashioned lover boy as much as the next person i do not think he did xx he was not a good old fashioned lover boy i promise you xx he was a cunt xx

Now given his sleeping patterns, it is a little hard for the both of you to meet up for any kind of outings, these would mostly be happening later in the evening and into the night given his aversion to sunlight, but he manages to work his schedule just right between his unit work and when he sleeps. He will always make time for you.

Another cat lover! Perhaps the both of you would like to go to a cat cafe for one of your dates? It would be something that he would find both enjoyable and relaxing, especially if you get to be there with him.

His schedule is quite busy sometimes given the work he has with his unit, Knights, but if you would like, you could always join him when they have practices and lives. Honestly, the thought of you being in the crowd and cheering him on makes this young vampire smile.

Speaking of his unit, the others absolutely adore you and they protect their own, and given that they now see you as one of their own, they will protect you just as you protect Ritsu. It is what a Knight does, after all.

“Nora, don’t be ridiculous! We’re good, we’re us. I still love you.”

“But thats the thing Derek, I don’t. You don’t value me, you don’t even let me talk about my job for gods sake! All we do is sit around and talk about you, your needs, your wants. Well, what about what I want hmm? Has that even crossed your mind for a second in our relationship? Have you ever for even a minute not thought about you?” Nora’s voice echoes around the apartment, voice as sweet as ambrosia, but tongue sharp enough to wound the devil. It has been exactly 19 days since she came home from Vegas, from Matty.

Oh Matty. The only person to make her feel seen, heard and understood. The only person to make her feel like a human again. The only person to actually love her.

“This is about him, isn’t it? That guy you met on your trip?” Derek dares, Matty’s name alone enough to strike fear in his veins. Derek doesn’t dare say it.

“So, what the fuck if it is, Derek? So what if I felt special for once? So, what if it somebody made me feel good enough for once? Hmmm answer me when I talk to you!” She spits back at him. A wildfire in her eyes. “Derek, I need you to get this through your thick, dull skull. I don’t love you. I haven’t for awhile.” She thunders.

He stands and looks at her, not a thought behind his eyes. Just a big, dumb idiot. Why did she even fall for this oaf, she thinks. He couldn’t be more opposite than Matty. Matty, she sighs again. Sweet, caring, spontaneous, funny, smart, interesting, fashionable and a menace with the smile of a saint. Nora shivers at the memory of him in that suit the night in vegas, goosebumps flood her skin.

“Matty… if you can even stomach his name… is the greatest person who has ever come into my life, you dick!” Continuing to reign hellfire on her now bumbling boyfriend.

“Oh please, Nora get real! He (Derek still refusing to say his name) just met you like two weeks ago and I have known you since you were 20.” He tries to reason with her, seeing her slip away.

“Hey dipshit, people change! If you think I am still the same young, naive, stoned-out-of-her-mind girl from all those years ago then you are more hopeless than I thought.” Her words like venom. “Derek, may these be the last words I ever have to say to you: we are over.” The final words getting lodged in his psyche. Haunting him.

And with that, she grabs her stuff and walks out of the apartment head held high. She’ll have movers come get her stuff tomorrow and get it to her apartment in Brooklyn.

Stepping out, she inhales the new sense of freedom that surrounds her. Taking out the celebratory joint she kept hidden in her tote bag, she lights up and makes her way towards Walt Whitman park. Puffing on the herb as she struts down the street, she feels reborn. A new, fresh woman. One totally disconnected from her old life, Derek being the final string to it. Derek being the only thing tugging her back in life, towards childish things. He never did understand her now thinking about it. He never got her desire for a career, always telling her she had him to fall back on and not seeing any issue with her being totally dependent on him. He never got her taste in music or her new friends, always suggesting they hang out with people from high school - people who may as well have been taking bets on her downfall and selling tickets to her demise. Her only thought regarding those people, and now Derek was fuck ‘em.

Joint now halfway gone and Nora’s head feeling light and hazy, she gets to the park. Deciding to sit on an empty patch of the lawn and finish her celebration. Digging in her tote bag, finding her phone. Going through her texts she finds one from Matty from two days ago when he got back to the UK. Checking the time, its 7pm in London.

One ring, then two.

“Hey Nor, whats up?” He asks, voice perfectly husky. She relaxes and melts at the pet name.

“Guess who is a free woman, Handsome?” His heart stops. Smile erupting across his face.

“No way, gorgeous. You finally did it?”

“Just got finished, think he is still shell shocked. Now celebrating.”

“As you should. He seemed like a fucking twat anyways.” He remarks.

“I think you’d like to know he couldn’t even say your name. Couldn’t even stomach me saying it.” She tells him, he smirks on the other end of the phone.

“Can’t believe you even liked him, honey. Sounds like a total wanker.”

“Trust me, he is. Anyways, I don’t have much tying to me to New York now and I’m sure I can find a place in London to work out of. Was gonna take a flight there next week and shack up in a hotel-“

“Or, you could stay with me. Save the money plus you could wake and bake with me.” He offers, smiling at the idea of waking up with her every day, of playing house.

“You got yourself a deal, Healy. But, no funny business mister! I’m single, I wanna have fun for a bit.”

“Oh trust me darling, you haven’t known fun until you’ve been in London at night.” He reassures, mouth salivating over the thought of her in a club dress and running around with him at night. Fuck, he is a goner.

The next day, Nora books a one-way flight to London and starts shopping, trying to pick things she deems as being especially tantalizing, deciding she is gonna torture Matty for however long she is there. A mischievous giggle leaves her throat, oh this is gonna be fun.

— 1 week later —

The double decker plane touches down in Heathrow airport. It is late and Nora slept terribly on the flight. Texting Matty that she landed safely and giving him the arrival information, she stands up to grab her overhead bag. Her hoodie comforting her and baggy sweatpants pool at her ankles. She pulls her headphones around her neck as she walks in the direction of checked luggage and grabbing her suitcases. Next is customs, thanking the lord she didn’t pack any weed betting on Matty having a full stock at his house. The customs officer asks her if she’s staying for business or pleasure and she responds by pausing and then decidedly saying pleasure and adding that she got a visitor’s visa approved by the UK embassy in New York last week. He nods sternly and confirms that yes, she did. Stamping the US passport and sending her on her way to the pickup location.

In the crowd of families reuniting, soldiers rushing to their partners, siblings hugging and lovers kissing she spots a card.

“Thee Ms. Nora Downey.”

The man behind the sign looks positively drool worthy. First off, he has stubble that dances across his defined jaw accentuating his features. Secondly, he’s wearing an old Yankees hat low hiding his eyes from anyone who may recognize them and as a way to tease Nora, fully knowing she prefers the Mets. Third, he’s wearing a tight crisp white shirt letting his iconic tattoos creep out from the hems and sleeves hugging his defined biceps. Finally, she sees a pair of baby blue adidas track pants hang low from his waist with a pair of battered gazelles. If she could jump him, she would. She composes herself, trying to get her voice to be even when she greets him.

From his view, she could not look any cuter. Hoodie tied at the neck, brunette hair creeping out from underneath and black headphones cover her neck. He makes a note to himself to litter it with hickeys at some point during her trip. Her grey sweatpants adorably too long for her frame and black sambas barely visible. She softly smiles at him as the escalator descends, her nerves increasing at he grows closer. He reciprocates.

Finally being within arms reach of her, he pulls her to his chest. Wrapping his arms around her and breathing in her perfume - coffee and vanilla with a little smoke - he hums. Content to have his favorite girl in his town and getting to be her personal tour guide for however long he is lucky enough to have her. He already scheduled for them to go on a guided tour of the Tate Modern tomorrow night and grab some dinner. The guys were gonna meet her in a couple days - Adam being the most eager since he was a fan of her work.

Her head is tucked into his shoulder, smiling ear to ear as she feels his shoulder relax under her arms. She breathes calmly - smelling the lavender and mint cologne she has come to love. She marvels at the fact that she was ready to go to bed just 45 minutes ago when she landed, but now feeling wide awake in his presence.

“Hi, honey. Missed you, can’t wait to show you just how…fun… I can be.” He smirks, ready to be just the most enchanting version of himself.

“Oh, you’re on, Handsome. I was born to be…fun.” She teases, mirroring his smirk.

She feels him shudder. Oh she’s got this in the bag.

tw Christianity (its in a positive light for me because im a christian but i understand that the church has done some pretty crappy things to people)

Just found out my youth pastor is resigning, its for a good reason because she is going to be pursuing stuff with christianity in regards to the arts and thats really amazing because i want to do theatre stuff when i grow up and shes out here living her dream. But like... she has changed me so much because shes like an older version of me we have all the same interests (musicals like beetlejuice, critical role, good omens, monster high, stardew valley,etc) and idk my church is generally pretty standard looking but shes there being a leader with bubblegum pink hair and being loud and taking up space and if my dad saw her on the street he would be like interesting fashion sense but she is so COOL and AWESOME and im going to miss her a lot and i needed to say it somewhere because she has given me the confidence to express myself even though im not someone that everyone will like thats just life and i really appreciate her for that so heres to good role models david tennants up there with her

(Also i am christian but i fully support the lgbtq+ and queer community i am very bi myself (hahahahaha im so lonely) so this is still a safe space please dont unfollow me anyone yall are so cool

Z is just multitalented, seems VERY hardworking, has the It factor and ambitious and idk if I can say that about a lot of her peers. It helps a lot, lik you said, that she is an actress who can do other things. More money too, since they pay actresses more vs a regular model

Kaia, imo, just aint got that IT factor. She seems ignorant about nepotism and isnt a good actress but seems nice, is well liked with her peers, and smart but I wouldnt say she has a "presence" about her (at least rn). And thats ok cuz a lot of actors dnt have that type of draw anyway, so I think she'll do well in more ensemble things (wheres shes nt the lead). Honestly I feel like her n JE are very similar in that regard lol I wuld say hes a better actor but they both have the same vibe where I dnt think they really have that draw to lead a movie/film successfully but I think they can kind of blend in or do well in a ensemble cast (or fashion show/red carpet)

Yea, I mean, Z is very fortunate.... she hustled her way to the top, played her cards right, and was able to succeed. 😊 She was very smart and calculating in how she got more opportunities and fame. I like seeing ambition like that. 👏🏾

She's a woc too, so I'm sure she knew early on that she would probably have to work 10x harder and smarter than her fellow ww counterparts who are given more awesome opportunities at certain roles. 🤷🏾‍♀️

So yea, imo Z has just been smart in starting to build her empire in a very efficient way. Not everything panned out as well as she hoped (the music career, the clothing line, etc), but she always dusted herself back up and tried other things. I LOVE that for her! 🥰 I LOVE seeing people who worked their way from the ground up and didn't just rely on mommy and daddy clout lol.

Well, not every actor has that "IT" factor, and that's okay! Not everyone is gonna be on the "A List" in Hollywood, and that's perfectly okay also.
