Okay so this just occurred to me:
As we all know Dean basically lives off of beer, burgers, and pie (or sometimes the occasional grilled cheese). I love him but my man is practically asking for cardiovascular disease with a fine side of type two diabetes and liver issues.
And as we also know, there's a good chance that Cas has been healing Dean for probably years and not saying anything.
So here's the take: Chuck knows this. And assuming the finale was HIS ending, he knew now that Cas is dead, Dean's health will only deteriorate. In fact, when he originally stripped Dean and Sam of their "main character status", he kept Cas's healing (mostly) in place, because he knew that if he didn't, Dean would probably drop dead and what kind of ending would that be?
But now Cas is gone, Chuck is bored with that world, and he knows that Dean will probably not even make it to fifty. If hunting doesn't take him out, his eating habits definitely will. So he decides to be "merciful" and let Dean go out with at least some sort of dignity. It's still a crappy ending, he knows. But it still beats the hunter who has saved the world several times being beat by his own love for fatty meals and alcohol.

(praying these uploaded in the right order)
(mourning my lack of computer and animation software rn)
Akari disappears not long after Ingo does. Her friends look for her, of course, but fail to locate her. Irida is the one to approach Rei while he's in the Icelands one day, asking if he'd seen Akari recently. When he admits he hasn't her expression crumples and she tells him that Lady Sneasler had informed her something was wrong with Akari but Irida hadn't been able to locate the human-zoroark to find out what, and had been hoping she'd been in Jubilife Village since Ingo had vanished. Sneasler has no way to communicate what has happened to Akari besides what everyone already knows- that she's a Zoroark.
It's Cogita who finds Akari many weeks later, feral and enraged. Were the heavens still opened she'd have thought the girl was frenzied with her aggressive behavior. There are new injuries on her and she's absolutely filthy, but Cogita sees beyond the blanket protection of ferality. She sees the distraught and fear behind the blank Zoroark glare and she mourns for the girl she jokingly called her granddaughter. Rather than running she approaches, risking injury to touch the girl with softness despite her threat to lash out. Rather than attack Akari freezes and then slumps onto the woman, warbling out her father's name.
Cogita tries to provide comfort when someone catches her attention- Ingo himself, hauling at speed towards them. There's someone behind him but that person doesn't matter. Akari looks miserable, not having heard the destruction of snow behind her, and Cogita turns her to face Ingo. The Zoroark freezes in shock before running gleefully to her father, leaping upon him and burying her face in his neck, her form fluctuating between Zoroark and human in her glee. She freezes when footsteps approach them, tensing her grip on Ingo. He only smiles at the man- the man who shares his face. Akari should be happy but she's fearful instead.
What does this mean? Who is this man?
He greets her gently, and Akari thinks that if her father is smiling and happy to see him, not trying to remove her... maybe she can be happy is well.

Xiao Zhan is outstanding in The Youth Memories. I am floored. His character better find happiness at the end of this, or I will stage a coup!

Okay actual low key emotional horni thoughts on main
I lose my mind thinking about A.dam still having demon partners here and there for fun. All short lasting, very erotic and burning hot till the very end. Just like in his living human years when E.ve and him separated and found demonic lovers that never fully left their head space base on the writings. He’s looking for something similar even if just a taste

Nice Poképasta you got there.
... can I hear more about it?
dsfgskjdf ty
the story is intended to focus more on the game itself, but there is some backstory involving its creator
sweet version was intended to be a gift for the creators partner, but the creator also suffered from poor health and passed before sweet version could be 100% finalized and while it was mostly complete visually there may be some... bugs and glitches
the player character is based off of them while the rival character is based off their partner, a name option for each is based on their real names.. though the two characters are sort of played off as separate from them
for the actual game itself, its presented as a very innocent 'hack' at first with a new story until the player runs into glitches that severely affect the game in some ways, one crashing the game entirely after attempting to catch a certain pokemon
and after that incident, LOVER notably seems to get a little harder to control, with dialogue boxes and certain actions being done without the player initiating anything... (which isnt exactly seen as odd at first, the creator seemed to include a lot more dialogue, mostly already consisting of LOVER talking to himself)
so, i feel like its probably obvious from the get-go, games a little haunted. LOVER sort of becomes sentient, taking an interest in the player themselves since they are the only other actual person in this situation (and the last major glitch managed to screw up the game and it seems like ROSE is missing...)
and i guess to put it simply and so i dont keep rambling forever, LOVER may or may not being coping that well
