This just in! Animal that every movie and book and play and song and art piece in the last however long depicted as Inherently Evil™️ is actually normal? Turns out animals, do not subscribe to any morality systems, and all of them just do whatever they want, and that usually means minding their own business. And humans only placed these morally reprehensible characteristics onto them to justify their continued slaughter and have nearly ruined eco systems over which little guy actually knows what a human is and actively wants them dead for funsies! Incredible discovery! I’m sure that now we know this continued misinformation and demonization of these creatures will finally cease and we can all just leave those guys, alone! Yup! I’m sure everything’s fine! Totally!!!

Endwalker spoilers below.
Sitting down on the desk, watching her friend, Thalassa cannot help but raise an eyebrow.
"What in the blazes are you doing, exactly?" she asks, her voice light and cheery.
Without looking around, her focus entirely devoted to the proto-concept in the centre of the room, the researcher answers, her accent rich. "Honouring Akhelios."
Peering closer at the slowly forming creation, Thalassa squints, trying to see what it is - before barking a laugh.
"Honouring him by… making another bleeding shark concept? I already have to listen to Hythlodaeus gripe about them at least once a tenday."
"Those are children's numbers, Thalassa. I'm intending to have him complain to you at least once a day. Once an hour, ideally."
Shaking her head with a smile, the former word of Mitron shakes her sleeves back. "So what's the deal with this one, Laen? What's the unique quality of it that makes it a worthy and unique concept?"
"It has legs. And it breathes fire."
Her careful focus breaking after only seconds, Thalassa nearly doubles over with mirth, her robes making soft noises.
"Breathes fire," she gasps, "sure. You're right, this would honour Akhelios. He must have gone to the Star happy knowing that people like you would be following up on his designs like this."
Shaking her sleeves back once more, she dives back into the concept, a smile unshakably fixed on her lips.

not gonna comment this directly on the post lmao but on that video thats like “ducks were terrorising us on our camping trip” (they are baby geese just looking for food btw!! the one who starts pulling at the end is just bc he grabbed the little string by the door, though I understand why it looks so scary through the cloth lmao) the video itself is funny imo but there’s so many people in the tags being like “actually those are geese and they’re EVIL and SCARY and WILL KILL YOU” like wtf 😭 one person even said “geese will rip you limb from limb” like?? are you okay????
its good to keep your distance from unfamiliar geese because they’re territorial animals and they do bite, and it DOES hurt. its not that much compared to most other farm animals and its very rare for them to even be able to draw blood, but still obviously best to avoid that.
but I hate how often this website seems to declare random animals as “evil” and act either like they’re violent killing machines or just inherently malevolent and ‘heartless’ in a way that implies they understand morals the way humans do. like the trend of joking about how evil horses are, or the way anybody talks about wasps, or all of the posts like “chickens are so scary they will literally eat each other alive”(wtf???) they are just fat little birds.......
I don’t know how fully to explain my point so idk if this even makes sense lmao, but it always just feels like such a strange way to think of animals to me??

Further proof my entire family is chaos.
My dad dumped acid into the pool to level the ph. Our idea to mix it up was to run on a circle and get a whirlpool going. The entire family did so immediately. Even my dog jumped in and helped. It was really fun.

hold up im reading more about the lionfish thing and this one island in Honduras has had such a huge problem with lionfish that the measures they have taken include
• getting special exemption from the Honduran government to allow divers access to harpoons and spears which are otherwise illegal in fishing
• public campaign to teach people how to prepare and eat lionfish (apparently they are very tasty once the poisonous spines are removed) (but watch out)
• holding lionfish combination hunting competition and cookout (reportedly they killed and cooked 1,700 in a day) (someone killed 60 of them with a rubber band spear gun???)
• most recently and apparently out of desperation, the divers in charge of culling the lionfish in the Roatan Marine Park just started. feeding the lionfish they killed to sharks. bc what else are you gonna do with it
• the sharks don’t seem to notice or be affected by the poison and begin hanging out with the divers
• the sharks then were seen hunting and killing the lionfish on their own
like this is nuts to me sorry. the sharks just had to be shown “hey this is food, did you know?? you can eat these!! here try one!!” we are possibly altering an entire foodchain bc we like feeding the big ocean wolves
