Today was bad and it was mostly my doing 🥲 hopefully tomorrow is better, my nephew's getting baptized!
#gotta give some credit to the weather though#i like saying i hate one of God's creations but i do severely dislike summer#it didnt even feel that hot today but i was sweating like a pig???#i was just standing in the bathroom earlier trying to figure out makeup for tomorrow and it was dripping off my arms#we were all miserable#my mom my dad and i all have headaches#i almost threw up#im trying to stay hydrated but i dont think ive been keeping up with the sweat#and im just ready for fall#just gotta!!!!#get through august!!!#and probably half of september!!!!#then i will be at full power once again!!!!!!!!!#OH MY GOSH 🤦 big oopsie#i meant to say i DONT like saying i hate God's creation#its too far back im not going to fix it#i need to not type so fast and double check what i say

me checking a cutscene for OFB that I wrote out a while back, but haven’t choreographed, & seeing that I had a note to make a CG of Trip getting restrained by shadowy tentacles
#in total there are 3-4 cgs in the game (w/ alternate expressions) and they’re all in the later half 🚶♂️#I WILL NOT LIE. AT THIS POINT I’M NOT CERTAIN ABOUT A SEPTEMBER RELEASE EITHER#I UNDERESTIMATE & OVERESTIMATR GRAPHIC MAKING AT THE SAME TIME#but this is also the final game i’ll work on that has my own graphics for a while#cause after that its asset time & im not sure how thats all gonna go#like i’ll probably still do game jams & stuff that has assets made by others. but yeah overall no immediate gamedev plans for a while#so basically i’m going all in here before the potential devving hiatus#devin is devving

The repeat stuff in the catalog isnt even good for players who didnt manage to get it the first time around because its all in the second half of the catalog anyway so like if they couldnt get it the first time then Who exactly is this helping. And on the anniversary of the game? Its just... bad.

For some reason, I've always considered September to belong to Autumn. But technically, until September 21st it's still Summer and this year's weather seems to be quite dedicated to reminding us so. 😅

going to buy new running shoes today let's hope no one is mean to me at the store 👍
#I don't know exactly what I want I'm TORN bc both my pairs r totally dead#I have one pair of Saucony guides that I used to really dislike and don't wear that much but I've had them for two years probably#And the pair of brooks I bought in August of last year but have done almost all my miles on from September to may....#So they're both well over 400mi and I'm having this sporadic it band pain which rlly means i need at least one new pair#But I can only buy one#I'm also having such a shit running year it's not even funny#Like I'm just doing a basic 20-25mi a week no real long run I'm so lazy#Definitely not training for a fall marathon I just don't have the motivation#I guess I should find a half for some motivation but like#Ugh.#This sucks I am still running most days and I don't mind the runs themselves I just have NO MOTIVATION#O yea also i can't take weekend days off.#I'm playing fris it's not like I'm not active it's just.... Urgh#I think im going to replace the Sauconys bc they're older. I do love the brooks adreneline like crazy tho#Maybe there will be something reasonable on the sale rack 👍#Tetrapod runs

I'm finally taking a fucking vacation from my job next week
#I've never gotten the chance to use my vacation time at work before quitting#but Im not currently able to leave where I work and I'll lose my PTO on my anniversary date (sept 13th)#so I decided to say fuck it an use ut the first week of September#wish I could have saved it for the second week since my birthday is September 15th but again my PTO gets reset the 13th#so this will have to do#I'm not going on an actual vacation this year. just planning various enjoyable activities and day trips throughout the week#Im hoping on the first day to attend a local flea market#and the next day or two to go swimming before the pool in my apartment complex closes for the year#I also plan to visit a historical town thats about a half hour away from where I live#and I'm definitely going to sleep in a lot of these days cause I need to catch up on some sleep finally#I'll probably draw on my less busy days#and maybe I can knock out a chapter or 2 of the story I've been writing#tbh luck is never with me so the chances of me actually getting to do half of this stuff is slim#but at least I can say I have plans#I'm gonna try n do this stuff even if I have to go alone#I hate waiting around for others so I can go out and have a good time#like yeah some of these activities are better with other people#but people often find excuses to get out of hanging out or going places. or they're busy with work#and I don't want to waste the 7 days Im gonna have off so Im gonna try n do something meaningful during them#the weather also will effect how my plans turn out. I bet it'll rain the entire week lol. that'd be my luck#but Im still gonna try and have a decent time off#at the absolute least I am going to relax and unwind. thats the bare minimum I can doo#sam's rants about life

life is so insanely weird
#i cannot believe i'm done w school ......#i'm literally done w school and i swam in a river with one of my fav people in the world this summer#and we saw phoebe bridgers and we walked 8 miles in one day#i am done w school and so many of the things i was stressed about at the beginning of the year are over now#i've literally sent in the bulk of my uni applications#i'm making a short film#i've read multiple books on the godfather this year#i've been in three different countries . four if u count the layover#i'm listening to a cd burned for me by said fav person#i have so much to do rn but none of it is study#this time next year i will probably be in the second half of my first year of uni#i had an awful time for a lot of this year but the good literally is/was/will be worthit#we're in september............. it's spring in the places where i grew up and its autumn in so much of the world and it's mostly the same#as ever here#i'm 18 and it's september and the world is so strange !!!!#feeling very strange this morning okay

now that ive committed to doing a marathon i have to figure out. what marathon to do...
#More considerations than normal bc i have a trail half Oct 19#Rn the best looking race for setting a PR would be the cape cod marathon but that's the weekend before....#I think i could get there without too much trouble BUT ITS THE WEEKEND BEFORE THE HALF#Then two weeks before there's the maine marathon or the new hampshire marathon...#The first one i could get to on my own the second i would need to borrow a car or go with a friend#Both look like they r scenic in their own ways.... I just remember bad weather at this other Atlantic coast half I ran LOL windy#And then if i go to September there's two in adk park like not super far from where my aunt lives#But then we have the double trouble of. Getting there. And i rlly don't have much time i can take off work#So i think it's gonna be either maine or cape cod...#And i think if my goal is to PR probably cape cod is better???#Idk.#If u know anything about any of these races.... #like hell yeah great that you're playing reckless love but i hope you get stoned by the elders who were actually around in the 80s#and can name every obscure band whose tapes they own and will immediately call you out for mistaking a song for released in the early 90s#i'm not actually at the bar btw i just saw the posts on their stories but dude please this is basic knowledge in your field#whatever i'm currently hunting for concerts somewhere near me so i can avoid my ex workplace unless one of them explicitly invites me#i bought tickets for tailgunner in selb without even knowing how exactly i'll get there and back lmao but it's in september so still time#i planned to stay at a hotel for the night because the car ride is hell even during the day and i'll probably only get out after midnight#but they're all so expensive or another half an hour away or in fucking czechia which i don't wanna deal with in the middle of the night#because i'd cross the border and if there's Stuff and i just want to Sleep after a long night uhhh not this time#if i wouldn't leave my sister by herself and the guys weren't driving a completely different route to their next show the following day#i would probably ask them for a ride tbh lol at this point i have no shame when it comes to flirting with bands#since i was asked to hop in the touring van by a swedish band i had just met half an hour ago why shouldn't it work with them too?#anyway i'm in desperate need of gig announcements but just like last year my depression's gotta last a bit longer until march at least 💔#mel talks

In exactly 12 hours, I will have finish my meeting with my principal professor. If anything is wrong between my documents and the university, I will jump from my window, which is on the 3th floor (4th for the USA)
