I'm going to continue to hold my harsher opinions on what's going on in the story right now till the series is officially over. It sounds like there's still several chapters left, and Horikoshi is getting to do the long epilogue he's wanted for this series. One of the last pages told us the story isn't over yet after showing Shoto, Ochako, and what looked like Spinner's scales. So there's more to come for the rest of the League at least, and I'm still not convinced Tenko is gone yet. There's still the Overhaul quirk reveal not having a purpose unless Restoration is somehow relevant, as well as Kurogiri's statement (and absence in this chapter) about Tomura's friends waiting for him. He still needs to be their hero.

Sleep was tugging at your eyes, begging for you to rest. You would ten times over but the only problem that stood in the way of getting a good night's rest was katsuki.

Sure, he was sleeping, but what did that matter? You got to look at him and see how gorgeous he is, how is that not worth staying up for?

It was raining outside more aggressively than it was when you two went to sleep. Now it was a large thunderstorm that had surprisingly woken you up. That usually never happened so it must have been a big thunder strike. Thankfully you did get something out of it.

Katsuki's small snores could be heard over the storm outside because of the closeness you held and you loved every second of it. You loved being able to be in his arms and peacefully looking at him without any remarks or attitudes. Yes, you loved the playful arguments you had sometimes about each other but laying there in that moment just staring at him felt blissful.

Your eyes grazed over each structure of his face, each corner of his lips, every hair on his furrowed brows, his hair that you were lucky enough to touch, and his closed eyelids. Oh, how badly you wanted to see his vermilion eyes at that moment.

A yawn made it's way from your mouth and you couldn't resist fully laying back down on the bed again to sleep. The image of katsuki burning in your head.

That night turned out to be a great one, falling asleep to him even with your eyes closed.

Theory: All For One gave Tomura the Decay Quirk

I was thinking this for a while. Midoriya learned that Tenko was originally Quirkless, already being five, so there was no way for him to have the Decay Quirk; All For One gave it to him

Isn't it awfully convenient that right as Midoriya wonders "Who is this guy?", that All For One showed up?

All For One knew Tenko was a blank slate without a Quirk (yet, or at all).

Going back to ch. 235, we see that after Tenko was playing heroes with other kids, he got walked home by a man in a suit

Suit, shadowed face, hat, tall, and Tenko still has black hair? This matches this memory, and we can see there's a lot of shading in the palms

All For One walked home Tenko. He could've given him a Quirk during that time. Right after he brought him home, Kotaro got mad that Tenko was playing and talking about heroes. Already, while Kotaro is upset at him, we see Tenko scratching. According to Nao, his allergies got worse, and if he was just given a Quirk, his allergies could've been fueled by the new Quirk as his body adjusts

Even if it's just a mutation, we do know that his itchiness was related to Decay, since the itching went away after he destroyed what he didn't like (his Quirk revolves around de-constructing and destroying, so natural leanings toward those urges, etc)

Yes, Tenko's Decay may very well just be a mutation like Eri, but I just want to bring one more thing to attention about the theory (All For One gave Decay when walking Tenko home):

When Tomura used Decay and was fighting Re-Destro, back when he only had Decay, Machia was in shock, because it reminds him of All For One long ago. Not only his figure as a ruler that Machia remembers, but All For One could've done the same thing as Tomura (Decay), long ago

I'm not even gonna entertain the idea that he's still alive somehow until that's confirmed because I refuse to give myself false hope. But this is not how I wanted this to end. Shigaraki deserves to have the life that was literally stolen away from him from day fucking 1. Yes, killing AFO was cathartic as HELL, and seeing kurogiri/shirakumo reach out to save his son absolutely broke me, but what happens to all of the build-up with Shigaraki's story? the rest of the league's trauma, the issues they genuinely faced within this hero society? where is all that going? down the drain ig. seems like such a fuckin waste of a story but alright. this could have been about deku becoming the greatest hero by saving and reforming the villains who were abused and tortured but ALRIGHT. also, a two page send off? be fr what the fuck. Rest easy, king. You deserved so much better. Or come back to us because that'll turn this car around so fast we might hit mach speed.
