summer’s end
#had a really nice weekend to round it out u kno#saw Sarah on Friday for pasta and watching reality tv#picked wildflowers on Saturday and went to the dog park and some yard sales with my sister and we had such a good time we’ve been kind of#distant lately so that was really great. and time and my bf went to a mug decorating workshop and then tried a new restaraynt and got giant#margaritas . and watched survivor#Sunday gym kicked ass + moved furniture around and helped my bf paint his bedroom#today went to work first thing then to the lake for swimming and napping in the sun then more work and more gym which also kicked ass#then groceries and making out with my bf now home laundry etc getting ready to go to bed so I can wake up early and take Winston to do some#thing before work and my first classssssss yayyyy#can u tell im tired I made so many typos and fully just used the wrong words… we painted his bathroom .#personal

#vent#for the last 4 months my life has been in stupid crisis mode#like constantly#from major ones where i had to move out for a while because it was impossible to stay where i lived#to not being able to use my kitchen for over a week#and like other more or less minor house related stuff that made it impossible for me to use something normally#not a single week without something like that or shit at work which is constantly being so fucking chaotic#and now someone died in my family#not someone very close but i liked them#and of course like feeling sad that they are gone can't be the only thing#because it has to come with the headache of i need to travel for their funeral and it's just before easter#so there's no one in this city to leave my dog with#because most of my friends either live abroad or have cats or are busy before easter..#i'd just want a week where nothing happens#and like the writing is weighing heavy on me#because i miss it#also i wish i could finish something#i wish something good would happen that i could feel proud off#also because i'm mentally ill and fucking stupid when i was going crazy with my kitchen not working and work shit#i bought new furniture#because after 15 years i've finally had enough money to buy some that aren't fucking black and inconvenient and ugly#which is like a huge project and a crisis i brought onto myself#just because i was too burnt out to write#and i wanted something nice to happen to me#like a nice living space that doesn't make feel like i have no ownership over it because everything in it was some else's choice#and that old furniture was bought by my mother and my brother ages ago and it's handmedowns#and my fucking horrible mother feels personally slighted that i want to get rid of a bed that is broken#because my brother's kids jumped on it regularly when they used to visit pre covid#yeah it's been broken that long because i lost all my savings during covid and had to change careers to a souless pointless corpo job#long pathetic whine and overshare over

lol i got decisions back from all four of my grad school apps and none of them were acceptances. i got waitlisted by one and outright denied by the other three. fuck man
#she bork#idk i have mixed feelings bc on one hand after moving once already this year i'm not super keen on moving again like four months from now#and across state lines to boot. i've never REALLY moved like w furniture and i have exponentially more shit to move now than i did as a#freshly graduated teenager and it turned out to be so much more stressful and work intensive than i anticipated. trying to move in one#weekend fucking sucked. on the other hand i do still want to go to grad school and i would never forgive myself if i let one (very small)#failed round of apps derail my plan to get my masters. idk it just sucks bc now it's like on hold bc i clearly need to beef up and#strengthen my portfolio but i hardly ever write anymore bc like who the fuck has the time. so i actually have to get disciplined w writing#more as well as sending out submissions so i can get more publications under my belt. so it's not like i'll automatically just reapply to#more schools next year bc i'm not wasting hundreds of dollars on apps when clearly i need to do some work on my#portfolio. idk it just sucks bc now idk what to do not only if i don't get in but even if i do bc again moving sucks and unless i majorly#downsize before moving again it's gonna be terrible. idk i feel like shit man

My moms friend is giving us her old couch but we can’t get it until Wednesday and my gfs family was only able to take our old furniture today so my living room is empty besides for a few dining chairs and an office chair. whoever is the least favorite of the day gets the floor
