The funny thing about a TFP Humanformers AU is that if you’re changing the bots to humans, that leave the question of if the humans are bots or the humans are not, because if the Autobot Decepticon faction division still exists and the war is ongoing you’d kinda just… be left with random robot children that got involved somehow.
I mean, cybertronian Fowler makes sense given he’s a military man and primary human liaison for the Autobots already, flipping him around potentially means that he’s a military ranked bot hiding on Earth under the protection of the Autobots. The cybertronian version of MECH too makes sense as the ‘Decepticons’ of this switched universe, probably being Shockwave wannabes and dissecting human cadavers or vivisecting live subjects in the pursuit of alien interests; stereotypical alien behaviour according to Earth media. Heck, robo Fowler and mecha Silas can have PERSONAL beef or at least a history of knowing each other to the point that the Autobots are warned of a more insidious alien curiousity.
But the kids being on Earth is like… harder? Aside from explaining why they’re on a completely different planet (if it even IS based on Earth) you also gotta consider the gimmick that these kids get themselves into danger mostly thanks to the headstrong enthusiast and overeager Miko dragging the others along, and idk about you but if I saw a giant robot kid come across a fresh battlefield and say anything remotely positive about it, I’d probably just give up and turn the other direction.

Cursed Bond
Chapter 12
---------------
The Vehicon gets back to the ship and heads straight to Med Bay. He goes in and Knock Out and Breakdown look over at him, "What happened to you?" Knock Out asked as he cringed at the sight of his armor being torn and dented.
Groaning as he lay on the berth the Vehicon said only one word, "Wheeljack."
"The Wrecker gave you a beating?"
"Yeah."
Knock Out looked him over, "He gave you a good beating. Let me guess, he was trying to get the location of the ship."
"Yes, but I didn't give it to him," the purple bot winced.
"Good," Knock Out said as he got to work on fixing up his injuries.
The Vehicon spotted Airachnid laying in another berth looking almost dead, "What happened to her?"
"Megatron punished her because she put Arcee in harm's way," Breakdown spoke up.
"Oh... He must have been really pissed."
"That's a bit of an understatement, she nearly went offline," Knock Out replied.
"Oh wow."
"Yeah, so make a mental note, do not put Arcee in any danger."
"I will, all Decepticons better keep that in mind."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wheeljack managed to move the view of the tracker onto the big monitor so they could keep a lookout. They soon get the location of where the ship is, "We know where the ship is, now to get inside," Bulkhead said as he slammed his fist into his palm, ready to bash some Decepticons.
"Ratchet, open up a Ground Bridge," Optimus ordered. Ratchet nodded and opened a Ground Bridge.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Knock Out was fixing up the Vehicon's armor when he spotted something, "What's this?"
"What's what?" The Vehicon asked as Megatron walked in to check on Airachnid's condition.
Knock Out brought out the thing and examined it. He then looked at Megatron with wide optics, "My lord, it's a tracker! He was fighting the Wrecker and it seems he placed a tracker on him."
"Place every soldier in the main rooms and the hallway," Megatron growled as he glared at the wounded Vehicon. With that, he ran off to find Arcee, if Wheeljack managed to get the bracelet off he didn't want to think about what would happen. Knock Out and Breakdown went to inform the soldiers. Before they knew it the Autobots were on board and they were being attacked.
Arcee looked up when she heard the commotion, "What on Cybertron is going on?" She asked herself as she opened the door. As soon as she opened the door she ran into someone. She looks up to see a white mech standing in front of her, the same one that tried to hug her before. He grabbed her and pushed her into the room then he closed and locked the door. With a startled yelp, she looked at him in confusion and anger, "You!" She growled as she unsheathed her wrist blades and took her battle stance.
"Arcee, I'm not here to hurt you I'm here to save you. Megatron has reset your processor."
"Yeah right, Megatron would never do that. Sorry, but you have me confused for someone else," she narrowed her optics.
"No, I don't. You and I had a thing going, we fell in love a long time ago and even made plans to mate. But then Megatron took you and made you his mate and now he's reset your processor through that bracelet. He's making you think you're in love with him and you belong with him."
"I do belong with him and I love him," the femme insisted.
"No, you don't. Take the bracelet off and I'll prove it."
Arcee narrowed her optics at him, "Fine, and I'll prove to you that no matter what I will always love Megatron," she huffed as she started to take off the bracelet.
Wheeljack felt a ping of pain in his spark after hearing that, he hopes that was not true. I'm right, I know she'll come to see reason once she takes off the bracelet.
Arcee takes off the bracelet and suddenly her helm starts hurting and she starts feeling all dizzy and light-headed. She leans against the berth as she goes down to one knee. She looks up at the mech standing there, "Wheeljack?"
Wheeljack knelt beside her, happy that she said his name, "Yeah, it's me. What do you remember?" He asked as he hesitantly placed a gentle servo on her cheek.
"Everything's coming at me in a blur, I can't really tell. But I remember you and a bit of our time together."
"Come on, let's get you out of here," he smiled as he offered his servo to help her up.
Just when she was getting ready to take his servo she grabbed her helm and hollered in pain. She then grabbed at her chest as she collapsed to the floor.
"Arcee!" Wheeljack quickly caught her and gently placed her on the berth, "Talk to me! What's wrong?"
"I... don't know... My helm and my spark chamber just started hurting."
Wheeljack looked at the bracelet device and thinking it was the cause he stomped on it, crushing it into millions of pieces. Then the door opened and Megatron appeared with his arm cannon at the ready to shoot, "Get away from my mate!"
Wheeljack transformed his servos to his blasters, "She is not your mate, Megatron," he growled as he stood protectively in front of Arcee.
Megatron looks down after seeing a tiny shimmer out of the corner of his optic and sees the bracelet in pieces. He looks back at Wheeljack and growls, "You'll never get her back, I won't let you!" He shouts as he charges Wheeljack. Just as Wheeljack was about to charge a blaster went off from behind him, hitting Megatron square in the chest.
He slid back from the impact but it didn't really do him much harm, he became furious and charged at Wheeljack again. He punched him then grabbed him and threw him into the wall. After he threw Wheeljack into the wall he goes over and hits Arcee, knocking her off the berth.
Hearing Arcee cry out Wheeljack charged at Megatron, shooting at him. He wasn't going to let the warlord hurt his femme again. Megatron raised his arm to block the shots as he ran towards him and he gave him a swift punch. Wheeljack felt his body slam into the wall and landed next to Arcee, there had to be a way to stop Megatron.
While he's looking at Megatron he feels a zap of electricity going through him, he sees Soundwave come up next to Megatron before he blacks out. Megatron turned to Soundwave, "Get rid of him."
Soundwave nodded and picked up the knocked-out Wrecker with his appendages and walked out, "Wheeljack!" Arcee yells out as she tries to go after them, but Megatron stops her as he wraps his servo around her waist and threw her onto the berth. Arcee glared at him as she tried to punch him in the stomach. He caught her servo and placed it above her helm as he laid her down on the berth.
Yelling in pain she glared at him, "No matter how many times you beat him he will always find me," she growled.
Megatron rolled his optics, "I'm not even hurting you."
"Tell that to my chest and processor."
Megatron looks at her confused, "Your chest and processor? I haven't even done anything to your chest and processor."
"From that stupid bracelet you gave me, I should have known better than to put it on."
"It can affect your processor a bit but not your chest."
"Then explain the pain in my spark chamber."
Megatron's confusion increases, he has no idea what she's talking about, "I don't know why you're getting pain in your spark chamber."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Soundwave was dragging Wheeljack through the corridors to go dispose of him when he was knocked in the back of his helm. He fell to the ground then looked up and saw Bulkhead there, he removed Soundwave's appendages off of Wheeljack before picking him up. Optimus and Bumblebee came along and they helped him carry Wheeljack off.
A Ground Bridge opened up and they went through heading back to base, "Arcee," Wheeljack mumbled as they went through the Ground Bridge. They get into the base and they lay him down on a berth and Ratchet takes a look at him.
"How is he, Ratchet?" Bulkhead asked.
"He just got some dents and a shock, he'll be just fine after some rest."
Sometime later Wheeljack wakes up, "Jackie, what happened?" Bulkhead asked.
Wheeljack groaned as he sat up and rubbed the back of his helm, "Soundwave got the jump on me," he sighed as he looked around, "Megatron still has her, doesn't he?"
"Yeah, sorry," Bulkhead replied with his optics downcasted.
"Does she still have the bracelet on?" Optimus asked.
"No, thank Primus for that. I crushed it pretty good, at least Megatron can't use it on her anymore."
"That's good. Now, all we need to do is get her away from Megatron, somehow."
"Yeah, what's the expression? Third time's the charm?" Wheeljack asked.
"You got it," Miko said as she held up two thumbs. Wheeljack smiled before it slowly turned into a frown, he was still worried about Arcee.
"Now what do we do? Megatron no doubt will double the shield and the guards," Bulkhead stated.
"We'll figure something out," Wheeljack spoke with determination.
"Yes, I believe we will," Optimus said.
Synthetic Life Chapter 32
I apologize for messing up on my dates. Really need to step it up on what I do here. But for now, here’s a new chapter, a surprise will be up tomorrow, so I thank everyone for your patience and wish for you all to have a great day.
Credit goes to @lonemaximal for the inspiration for the story.
Sparks flew in the air; Wheeljack gripped a welder, placing the flames close to his ship. Faint battle marks on his armor. Bulkhead, Miko, and Smokescreen nearby. The Autobot rookie also bearing battle marks. “How's it coming Jackie?” Bulkhead asked. “Been getting there.” Wheeljack said. “Are you sure you should be doing this? Ratchet told us to rest after our fight with the Stunticons.” Smokescreen asked. “I've been through worse.” Wheeljack said. (He smirked, continuing to repair the Jackhammer) “So, when are you gonna tell me about the Stunticons and how you crushed them?” Miko asked. “Yeah, you told me that earlier, Wheeljack.” Smokescreen said. “That, well the story went like this.” Wheeljack started.
    (Two figures drove through a broken metallic landscape) “Are you sure were getting closer?” Bulkhead asked. “I'm getting a clear signal, Helios should be close by.” Wheeljack said. (Other vehicles appeared, driving close to the two Wreckers) “We're coming Wheeljack, need to find Helios and get him out of there!” Another Wrecker said. “I can see the city!” One Wrecker called. (A ruined city, falling to pieces. The faint roar of vehicles echoed in the distance) “Stunticons are pretty active.” Bulkhead said. “We'll keep the Stunticons busy, Bulkhead, Wheeljack, go find Helios.” A Wrecker said. “On it.” Wheeljack said. (He drove off; Bulkhead following)
    “Why are we rescuing him when he left the Wreckers without any word?” Bulkhead asked. “Said he has vital information in servo and needs to give it to us in person.” Wheeljack answered. “Of all things.” Bulkhead sighed. (Both stopped as the ground shook. A massive explosion roared behind the two. Wheeljack and Bulkhead stood close to a building, looking through its faded glass. Wreckers flew in the air, cars engines roared alongside a truck's horn. Glass shattered while Wheeljack and Bulkhead ran.
    Both reached a building bearing a large painted Decepticon symbol) “Must be the place.” Bulkhead guessed. (He ran in, Wheeljack following. Both finding energy bars and a figure taller than the two Wreckers)
    “So, you got my call.” The mech said. (Both Wreckers faced the bars. Wheeljack looked around, Bulkhead stared at the white armored mech) “Helios, why did you leave the Wreckers without a word?” Bulkhead asked. “I joined you because I thought I needed to avenge my Conjux Endura. Till she found me in the same city we separated because of this war. During my time as a Wrecker, she was with Sparklings. With them back, I didn't have an urge to fight. Except when I came across a functioning computer holding information about Combiners. About their weaknesses. That was when the Stunticons found me and here I am.” Helios answered.
    (The ground shook, explosions roared as gunfire echoed. Wheeljack pulled out his swords, slashing through cables. Electricity covering Helios' prison vanished) “Save the chat for later, we've got a Combiner to take down.” Wheeljack said. “I will assist you the best I can.” Helios said. “You don't have any weapons.” Bulkhead said. “I know where they are.” Helios replied.
    (He ran up to a nearby metal block, his servo covered in flames. With a roar, he punched the box, melting the metal. Revealing two weapons; a cannon and a sword. Helios pulled them up) “Come on then, we've got a Decepticon to take down!” Wheeljack said. (Both Bulkhead and Helios nodded, both running after Wheeljack.
    Buildings collapsed under a powerful force. Wreckers lay on the streets; some still fighting against the giant. The three mechs ran past all that fell, finding a few soldiers shooting at the giant. One bearing cars and a truck to form one; Menasor. He roared, sending forth shock waves from his sword. Gun blasting thick bullets, each shot causing a building to collapse. The three Wreckers stared at the Combiner.
    Menasor turned his helm to the sight of the Autobots and grinned. He pointed his gun at the three, Bulkhead, Wheeljack, and Helios fired at the Combiner. The energy shots failed to make marks, with Wreckers stepping back. Menasor stomped close to the three. They transformed, driving and flying while Menasor disconnected, chasing after them.
    The three Autobots transformed close to a building. Wheeljack entered into a building) “Distract him, I'll take him down.” Wheeljack said. (He revealed his sole grenade and grabbed it. Helios and Bulkhead nodded; watching the white armored Wrecker running up the building. The two looked as the roar of five vehicles rushed closer. Bulkhead and Helios transformed, driving and flying up to the gestalt team. They all transformed, the Stunticons combining into Menasor. Helios fired giant energy blasts from his cannon. Bulkhead looked up at the roof while shooting.
    Wheeljack stood on the roof, keeping a grip on his grenade) “Goodbye Menasor.” Wheeljack thought. (He ran, jumping onto the Combiner's back. Wheeljack jammed the grenade into a part of the mech's back. The white armored Autobot landed onto the ground, turning to fire at the sole grenade.
    Bulkhead and Helios stood back as en explosion shook the ground. Menasor crashed into the ground, separating into the Stunticons. Four of the members stood up, Motormaster yelled. The three Autobots started firing at the Decepticons. Motormaster transformed, rushing towards Bulkhead. Helios and Wheeljack stood nearby, watching as three other Stunticons glared at them. The three fired, Wheeljack slicing through their shots. He ran up to the three Stunticons; Helios standing nearby. The Sun Autobot looked at the corner of a nearby building, finding one Stunticon running away. The Autobot ran after him; flames growing in his arms.
    Wheeljack glared at the two Stunticons close by. Wildrider and Drag Strip cackled while firing at the white armored Wrecker) “Die Wheeljack, this isn't the playground!” Wildrider screamed. (The two started shooting at the Autobot. Wheeljack's blades gleamed in the sunlight. He yelled before jamming his blades into the Stunticons.
    The swords pierced both Wildrider and Drag Strip's Sparks, sending them to the ground. Dead End stepped back, watching as his brothers fell. Wheeljack aimed his swords at the Decepticon standing before him) “End it already.” Dead End growled. (He rose his gun; armor shining from the sun's light. Dead End fired, Wheeljack ran towards him, slashing through the bullets. Then, sharp steel cut through the Decepticon's neck, sending his frame falling. Helm still on Jackie's blades. Wheeljack sighed, turning his sword to let Dead End's helm hit the ground. He lifted his helm to the sight of Helios. Both turned to the sight of Motormaster hitting Bulkhead with his broken sword.
    Bulkhead snarled as Motormaster screamed. The broken sword kept hitting the thick green armor. Bright yellow optics glowed as he saw the corpses of his brothers. The Stunticon yelled, lifting up Bulkhead and throwing him towards Wheeljack and Helios. The two stepped back as Bulkhead formed a dent on the ground. Motormaster ran up to Bulkhead, raising his broken sword while screaming. Bulkhead stood up, slamming a wrecking ball onto Motormaster's face. The eldest Stunticon stepped back, rubbing his faceplates. His yellow optics glowed, glaring at the three Wreckers, all aiming their guns at him)
    “Is this payback for all I did back at school?” Motormaster chuckled. “Its for a lot more, Motormaster.” Bulkhead growled. (He punched Motormaster; swiping his fist at the Stunticon. Tearing through the armor on his chest.
    A part of his chest armor fell, revealing his Spark Chamber. Bulkhead grabbed Motormaster's Spark Chamber; ripping it out. The yellow and purple lights of the eldest Stunticon died. His frame turned grey, hitting the cold metal ground. Bulkhead stared at the Spark before dropping it. All three watched the last light of Motormaster shatter into many pieces. The life escaped from the main component of Menasor. He lay dead alongside others)
    “After the entire battle, we returned to where Autobots could recover Helios. That was where he reunited with his Conjux Endura, a femme whose name I forgot. Thanks to Helios, we were able to take down newer threats that the Decepticons could dish out. All thanks to that one mission.” Bulkhead ended. “That would've been awesome to see!” Miko cheered. “Sometimes I'm still amazed at how Bulk took down the Head Honcho.” Wheeljack complimented. (Bulkhead smirked) “So, what happened to Helios?” Smokescreen asked. “Not sure, we didn't see him again after that.” Wheeljack answered. “Breakdown was one of them, right?” Miko asked. “Stunticons, yes.” Bulkhead replied. “Then how come he remained alive even after Menasor perished?” Miko asked. “That, we never knew; I last saw Helios running after him. Didn't mention anything about killing Breakdown.” Wheeljack answered. (A door opened; everyone looked at the two figures in the doorway.
    Bumblebee entered; his blue optics focused on Bulkhead. His human companion close to Bumblebee's leg) “Its time to take the children home.” Bumblebee beeped. “Of all times.” Miko pouted. “Optimus' orders.” Raf replied. “Nice talking with you guys again, might need to stay for a while.” Wheeljack said. “Yes!” Miko cheered. “Now come on in, Jackie and I will tell a lot more tomorrow.” Bulkhead said. (Miko nodded, watching as the green mech transformed. One of his doors swung open, letting her climb in. Bumblebee followed Bulkhead's actions and he drove off. The two Autobots leaving the base alongside Arcee.
    Vehicons drove across the snow. Still nothing, darkness was coming. The sun started to set) “Are you sure its safe to continue this late?” Daffodil asked. “No, we must keep going.” Abby replied. “Guys, I hear something.” Badger said. (Everyone slowed down; something roared, then, a blizzard started. Four lights coming towards the Vehicons)
    “Are those other Vehicons?” Abby asked. “No.” Badger replied. (Beyond the blizzard, bright lights flew by. Some crashing into Vehicons, killing them. Abby, Daffodil, and Badger stopped. They transformed, looking at the road. The blasts stopped, transformation occurred to the two vehicles. Drag Strip and Wildrider. Both aimed their weapons at the surviving Vehicons) “Autobots!” Abby called. (He fired at the two. Drag Strip smirked as he vanished; the other Stunticon started shooting. Badger pushed Daffodil to the side; taking out her blaster and firing at Wildrider.
    Drag Strip reappeared behind Abby, firing at her. The Vehicon turned to the sight of blasts. She screamed as the blasts hit her armor. Daffodil shielded her optics as Abby fell. Badger glared at the two Stunticons; both aiming at the crying Daffodil. Badger started shooting at the two. They turned to dust) “Run!” Badger yelled. (The Vehicons transformed, driving past their fallen comrades. Both hear the yelling, both dare not to look back.
    Tim, the Femme, and a Vehicon nicknamed Giddy flew over dark skies. Trees, rocks, nothing out of the ordinary) “Are you sure we're going the right way?” Giddy asked. “Wait, I'm getting a signal!” Tim called. (He flew down to a path of rocks. The others behind.
    They transformed and ran; it started to rain. Tim stopped near a pile of rocks. Red visor glowed as he stepped back. A sword pointed at his helm. Giddy and the femme stopped. The three stared at the one gripping the blade. Dreadwing.
    Wheeljack stepped back from his finished work. It looked better, outside of all the big holes created by the crash. He placed a few tools onto a table before walking inside the ship.
    Wires disconnected, broken screens, and parts of the roof fallen. The worst state of which Wheeljack seen his ship. He walked up to a few cables, some missing their covering and exposing broken strands) “Its always something.” Wheeljack sighed. (He lifted his helm from a servoful of wires upon the sound of a door.
    Footsteps echoed into the room; each closer to the ship. Wheeljack stared at the entrance to his ship. Optimus entered, blue optics on the damage to the Jackhammer) “How are things on your ship?” Optimus asked. “A lot of work, except this hasn't been the worst this ship's endured.” Wheeljack replied. (Optimus nodded) “I've heard the story you've told about the Stunticons.” Optimus said. “Yeah, those Cons, I'm still amazed that their alive again, even after all we did.” Wheeljack said. “Knock Out might have the answer, although we must wait till he's able to recover.” Optimus said. (Wheeljack continued to work on his ship.
    Ratchet stood over Knock Out, still not moving. He sighed, so much trouble, all for one medic) “How is he?” Someone asked. (Ratchet turned, Optimus walked into the room. Blue optics focused on the medic) “Nothing new, he should be waking up soon.” Ratchet said. “Bulkhead and others have taken the children to their homes.” Optimus said. “Do you think Knock Out will try to harm us?” Ratchet asked. “No, he doesn't wish to be a Decepticon anymore. We must give him time to adjust when the time comes.” Optimus said. Ratchet nodded. Both Autobots left; the lights dimmed.
    A weak groan escaped from the red medic. Black and red cracked open.
Because I've held this off for too long, once again it seems that @nukeli has beaten me to the punch with colour schemes. Damn my procrastination or whatever, but I only just realised that I didn't put any mention of the 'fodder' classes (Vehicons, Insecticons and I suppose Autotroopers since I'm including them) and wanted to put down my thoughts before writing this up.
An added bonus here is that certain character have different alts (based on character changes and even the heavier focus of 'robots in disguise' that these Decepticons are after) so it's not just me ranting about colour schemes.
Yes, this was why I was complaining about the wiki altmodes, so deal with the vehicles I found instead. May or may not be due to me using images as references haha.
The Autobots (you are here)
The Decepticons Part 1
The Decepticons Part 2
Going in order of my notes, we begin with Cliffjumper. He’s obviously a 1970 Dodge Challenger and what colours I’ve given him are on the image below. Nothing much to say about a definitely dead character other than I didn’t just wanna make him blue.
Tumblr media
Next on the list is good old Doctor Ratchet. I’ve had it in my mind ever since Nuke’s one post that SG!Ratchet was like Medic from TF2, so I guess I took it and ran.
To play an opposite to regular Ratchet, he comes across as affable and friendly but is really just doing the things he loves to people he hates. Autobots, Decepticons, hates everyone. He despises Optimus Prime too, but he can’t do anything unless he wants to be cooped up in his berthroom reattaching his limbs for it. Believe him, he tried.
As for altmode and colours, I spent way too long finding that he resembles a Mercedes Benz G-Class ambulance that I was ticked to find out he wasn’t at all. I special looked for the green coloured ambulance because Synth-En, duh!
Tumblr media
Breaking in after the Doctor comes our local wrecker Bulkhead. I don’t have much of a read on this guy, other than the fact that I thought it’d be a cool idea for him to lose a lot of his memories after ‘TMI’, ya know, from the Synth-En recipe? Certainly not set in stone, but it could very well contribute to my accidental theme of memory (which only has some small links in the posts I actually created).
With the help of my car enthused cousin I have given our not so loveable mech a Terradyne Gurkha, a little more military than the wiki’s off-roader Lamborghini that I’m too annoyed to bother to look at. I thought that the military origins and the black colour scheme sorta allude to something something mindless military man. yada yada.
Tumblr media
Following him is our ever wonderful Optimus Prime, or maybe Lord Prime? Haven’t thought too much about that. What I have thought of is this master manipulator who mayhaps also be a little bit delusional idk we’ll decide in the car.
I always loved the idea of a smiling SG!Prime, as if there’s still hints of this benevolent leader that the original has, but it’s warped and meant to add fodder to the war, encouraging mechs to fight to their deaths all in the name of not only the Autobots, but their Prime. Also as a warped version of the original, I wanted Shattered Glass Optimus to be deluded in the fact that Megatron will change, change at least, to submit to the real leader. Ain’t happening. That’s sorta there with Ratchet too, but well, you read Ratchet’s piece didn’t you?
SG!Prime is consistently purple and black, and whilst I have found a Peterbilt Semi Truck with that wonderful colour, it comes with white instead. Think about it, this typically evil colour paired with often innocent white, that’s like perfect for what I’m going for.
Tumblr media
Fitting that he’s next, it’s time for Prime’s Second In Command Ultra Magnus. I’ve... really got nothing for him. Maybe he’s still by-the-books but like he finds loopholes just to commit atrocities? I don’t know.
I’ve given this boy a Mack Trident alt instead of Prime’s Peterbilt, just for differences sake.
Tumblr media
After Magnus, we got our little bug Bumblebee... or is it. Because I wanted to change his colours a bit without going into Beast Hunter territory, I wondered if bees come in different colours and, low and behold, they do!
As for the boy himself, I think he was one of the bots manipulated by Prime himself to join the cause and, given his almost rewritten personality, has only lived through to this point in the war by sheer luck. This mech is an absolute menace, feral and powered by the need for Prime’s approval, tearing others with denta and servo more often than with stingers and blasters.
Now you’ve noticed I haven’t been using his name? That’s because he’s now Blue Band (I just realised he’s still bb haha)! He gets his name from the Blue Banded bee, and I found a Chevrolet Camaro to match.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In line with BB’s younger status, feast your eyes on Shattered Glass Smokescreen! Oh boy isn’t he a delight. His hero worship has essentially turned him to a prime (pardon the pun) candidate for Optimus to form into his perfect super soldier, who already would die for this deranged mech even before laying optics on this grand Prime.
So, he’s an absolute suck up, a straight up spoiled brat that has it harder than Blue Band for Prime’s acknowledgement, and is actively showing off and bragging that he’s Optimus’ favourite (he’s not, he just encourages it because that’s the easiest way to get Smokey to do what he wants).
Almost to reflect that (perhaps another pun) I found this gaudy Chameleon Chevy Corvette that absolutely SCREAMS show off.
Tumblr media
Regrettably partnered up with him after the passing of Cliffjumper, Arcee has run out of patience. Not everything she does is motivated by Airachnid (what kind of character would that be? not a fun one) but she does often enjoy killing those connected with her. After Tailgate, she’s gotten a little mad, but her effectiveness otherwise increased so others never bothered to ‘fix’ her.
Having lost both of her partners, when she absolutely hates another (read; Airachnid and Starscream because he still kills Cliff) the best kind of revenge is putting her opponents in her own pedes. Oh, that mech’s growing attached to one of his comrades? Slice and dice them before their optics. Oh, that femme is finally coming out of her shell and making friends? Gore out their spark and hope that humans don’t decide this would be the perfect time to practice what they preach and save the life of that same mech with a hard to perform surgery that may or may not have been lost to time.
Okay so she’s obviously a Kawasaki Ninja (haha that’s kind of fitting) and I was tempted to make her pink like other Arcee iterations, but look at this fancy stuff right here. He hoo glowy look pretty!
Tumblr media
Almost in leu of an Airachnid archetype, Wheeljack comes in. Though still quite the wrecker and ever the bomb enthusiast, instead of actively celebrating his impacts and going solo to stop the rust settling in, he’d rather be offed whilst mechs are distracted by his pretty explosion and lay forgotten in the dirt.
I may have accidentally rooted the unintentional memory theme deeply with the wreckers (Breakdown included) and maybe just took it and ran, giving everyone else a little connection, but Wheeljack is probably the most explicit in this idea. He hates nicknames (which i super Ratchet uses to mock him here in Shattered Glass) because that’s like... naming something you’re going to keep to quote that specific fic which, honestly, I can’t remember. Wheeljack split from others to stop them from remembering him and put himself closer to a situation where he can die alone, as morbid as that sounds. No grand death, no stupid death and no straight up suicide (generally that’s a VERY impactful kind of death) so just a mediocre end is what he’s been looking for for a little bit too long.
As for his colours, I apparently have no taste and should not have a car because I really like what this image has going for it. This C3 Corvette is probably one of the few cars that fits the straight up box of a sports car that Jackie’s got, so I’m sticking to it, so no, don’t show me the wiki I’m ignoring it this was too painful to give up dang it!
Tumblr media
Okay, finishing off the bots, I have the Autotroopers. Sure, I’m not using a reference of a car to show off the colours, mainly because there’s also going to be flier troopers too, maybe... surely... definitely. Most depictions of them are white, you know, goodie goodie, and I’m tempted to just laze around and do just that. Instead, I think a goldish colour would be fun.
Aside from sharing a key colour with Ultra Magnus, essentially a war lawyer, which is perfect for subjects made to obey, a nice glimmering finish almost feels like they’re all manipulated by Prime to believe in the Autobot cause. I suppose the special devision, if there is one, would be a nice Prime purple, sorta like if it’s Optimus’ personal guard if he actually had any belief they would do their jobs.
Oh boy this is so long...
Okay, final part now. Links didn't work when I edited on phone for some reason so I'll just quickly finish this off on my computer.
The Autobots
The Decepticons Part 1
The Decepticons Part 2 (you are here)
Right after Dreadwing from the last post is Airachnid. A lot of people don’t like her, some don’t like her because she’s a victim of bad writing. Now, I hope that this shattered version is enough to get you not to hate her, because despite what she did and represents, I don’t have any bad blood for her.
Checking out the tfwiki (before I realised fanwiki’s didn’t have vehicles listed for alts) I believe in search for backstory, I found that canon Airachnid transformed into a stylised RAH-66 Comanche instead of Fowler’s actual vehicle and I thought; ‘no wait, this is great’. I’ve already gone into some detail about how this Shattered Glass Airachnid works, a pessimistic mentally scarred arachnicon with PTSD and Survivor’s Guilt, but with this new alt it wraps her story up in a neat little bow.
Her new alt, based on the scan she should have taken, is based on a Bell 212 helicopter, and though I have initially used a cameo pattern to reference a daddy longlegs spider, this specific model is also used as a rescue vehicle. Why does that work? MEDIC TEAM, BABY! She probably has some lime green optics? Like more yellow than green but still with green.
And after all these characters, all the way in the third post, we finally get to our doctor duo. Our CMO Knock Out and his assistant Breakdown. Seeing as I mentioned Breakdown a little bit just before (though really vaguely so I mean...) I’ll talk about what’s going on with him.
I want to make this mech afraid of the quiet. Not to say he has paranoia like his canon version, but when there isn’t any noise he begins to think, and though not much of a thinker in a literal sense, Breakdown does not like to think about all the ways things can go wrong. So to compensate, he is also a loud mech, talkative and explicitly sociable. You think canon Breakdown’s chummy with the Vehicons? Check this guy out! Teaming up with Skyquake, he helps bring up the mood of the remaining Decepticon forces. Heck, just his presence encourages mechs to ACTUALLY get check ups instead of trying to soldier on. Best boy is also best nurse.
Not that this was an intentional comparison, but like Airachnid, Breaky’s got an alt to match his personality. The nerd boys came back to me with a Roshel Senator APC, and I mean, if you ignore the who Senator part, I’m sure you see the ‘Armoured Protected Carrier’ in the title. So yes, it’s perfect for this big tiddy nurse husbando (oh god that was horrid). Maybe also his optic colour is purple.
Getting to Knock Out now, he may not seem like he’s related to the original at all from initial appearance and characterisation. Instead of running his mouth like the suave flirt that canon Doc Knock is, SG!Doctor KO is rather silent, and far more in the brooding sense.
Decorated in scars; the ones I’ve settled on in a chassis gouge, a soldering scar on the faceplate, a scrape on his door and a mark on the back reminiscent of missing wing struts (oh yes I’m going down this route), Knock Out celebrates his appearance unlike other shattered alternates by caring about his appearance in a more... battletorn way. He has a name and face for every scar (but I don’t aside from definitely Ratchet and a debated between Wheeljack and Breakdown for some funky angst) and the only real time he speaks more than a few words is when he retells the tales of how he got his injuries... but he’s a little morbid to sorta reference his canon sadism so no little kids are allowed to listen in.
Despite still being an automobile enthusiast, he’s has too many looks when ‘disguised’ as an Aston Martin, so to compensate, he’s now a 1999 Honda Civic. Also, that’s what I mean by chassis gouge, just visualise the other scars haha.
imagine being such a dunce you delete what you wrote for knock out just as you were about to copy and paste it in haha
Because I don’t have an image for the Vehicons, I’m focusing on the Insecticons here instead. I’ve mentioned it once before but Airachnid isn’t the queen of the Insecticons, which happens because idk funky processor stuff I have the big fear of external content.
So, I needed to look for a horned beetle, and a beetle I found in the Hercules Beetle. Though still containing some of that Insecticon brown, I think the white-ish... elytron? The wing covers I guess.
Before I move onto Vehicons (‘Vehicon lives matter!’ You cry) I’ll talk a bit about the Predacons. Predaking, if given love and affection, is total baby. Predaking, if given the command to defend against the Autobots, would defend with dentae and claws.
With a mix? You get Merry Madness. Yes I am using Dead Sound to reference these ancient boys. Yes I am using this as an excuse to share my love of Dead Sound animations. So as a neat little twist, to show that Predacons are both the spark of hope and dangerous beasts, I wanna keep the browns and yellows and mix it with the purple. Hey! I think it’s a cool idea!
Vehicon time! There’s a little less colour variety in the Decepticons than the Autobots, but the Vehicons have turned themselves into a rainbow of a force. Sure, they might have originally been one colour scheme (red and black for general forces, white and gold for specialists) but now they have a myriad of different choices.
Some are one colour, some have two, others three. Some focus on patterns, others on flats and quite a few on lustre. Though they don’t have an unlimited amount of paint, the dwindling forces has allowed Vehicons to become whoever they want and Megatron can’t recommend it enough.
In contrast, Makeshift did his best to be the least stand-offish colour in the group. Before his untimely demise on his infiltration mission, the brief moments he was in his base form, he was adorned with the goldish finish of the Autotroopers.
May his spark rest in peace.
may my hands rest in peace jeez!
