Sheridan: hey, do you think Delenn will like the gemstone set in this ring?
Ivanova: lemme see it
Ivanova: …
Ivanova: John?
Sheridan: what’s wrong with it?
Ivanova: that’s a shiny boulder on a band of silver, not a ring.
Sheridan: what do you mean?
Ivanova: I mean that a ring is only supposed to be three months' salary, not a 401(k).
Sheridan: is it too much?
Ivanova: for anyone else, in any other relationship, absolutely. for you and Delenn? just another Tuesday.

To me personally malistaire is the funniest and most pathetic villain wizard101 has ever had AND I MEAN THAT SINCERELY!!! Between doomed children who have been manipulated, groomed, and isolated into becoming products of their environments, someone scorned who has been punished unfairly by having your biological heart torn out your chest and turning your children and all of reality against you to satiate their own ego, a nonhuman entity so powerful and so clueless they unintentionally threaten the lives of everyone around them, Malistaire FELL DOWN BRO. Like yeah you're bitchless now. You and me both. Get in line. Everyone in this room is bitchless. We are ALL living that ✨💅🏾💃🕺 Single Life™. You are a middle-aged man. Cope

i love that hieronymous said exactly two lines in that entire episode and one of them was stating the obvious and the other was a totally innocent-sounding statement that also managed to be a lie. he's the perfect character <3

I FINALLY BEAT TOTK!! After like 3 detours for other Zelda games lmao
And I did it in the Twilight Armor set. because I could 😌
It was alright! Honestly, I don't know if I liked it more than BoTW, I'd need to replay that one. It's been a bit. But that last fight was more Zorah Magdaros than I was expecting (iykyk) and not in a good way. Idk, I think people are focusing purely on the spectacle when they say it's amazing, which is fine! Dragons are cool and it's cool that you get to ride around on your girlfriend, but mechanically it's just Colgera again. And yeah, the ending felt like a big ass-pull, I'm sorry lmao. zelda just suddenly isn't a dragon anymore?? With no lasting effects of giving up her entire being? Which clearly wasn't true, but she doesn't even remember any of it?? Link doesn't get to keep the arm?? Or isn't at least down one?? Where even was Sonia before that last bit?? Could they have done that the entire time?? And Link didn't even hug her???!? Also did the ancient sages even have names???? Idk, suspension of disbelief and all that but the little things the devs don't address add up and take me out of it. It'd be easier to ignore if there wasn't so much, or if the rest of the game made up for it and it doesn't for me lol.
That is not to say I didn't have fun with it, honestly I spent more time running around on foot than I did in BoTW (mostly because I wanted to complete the map but still) but I only pushed myself to finish it so I could justify replaying Okami since I already took so many breaks and, well. I don't know how to put it better than that. Solid game, others are better, 7/10

With all the really cool Peter Lorre inspired ocs I've been seeing lately I thought I'd draw some art of the closest thing I have to a Peter Lorre oc
Meet Claude Gauthier(whos name I spelt wrong in the drawing cause I'm stupid and have period brain) he's my interpretation of the unnamed main character from 'The Horla', my favourite of Peter Lorres radio shows
Claudes parents encouraged him to study for a mathematically focused career, but he would have rather studied music. He has been singing and playing the violin since he was young and has taken up writing compositions and various other instruments as a hobby over the years, namely the piano, cello and more recently, the harp and concertina. He's fond of opera, especially French(of course) and German, but he has nostalgia for the hungarian folk music shared with him by his mother and grandmother and a more recent appreciation for American and Irish folk music
He works as an accountant and a tax consultant for a wealthy American, named Declan Fitzsimmons, who has a property and a small company near Paris, inherited from his maternal French family. He and Claude have also been having an affair for the last 12 years
Claude is close with his maid, Marie, who he acts as something of a father figure toward. Many people scoff at how Claude "coddles" his help, but with how difficult life can be for young working girls, Claude sees no harm in giving her some extra change to get a pastry when he sends her off for groceries or letting her sleep in an hour or two every once in a while

Effloresce snippet
Beneath the fear, beneath the hollow shape the world had taken, Cassian who could not longer see color or make sense of anything now but this: Nesta was hurt.
Nesta was not with him, now.
Feyre rushed forward, questions he did not hear bubbling from her mouth. It was Rhys, who called a wraith to find a healer, but Mor-
Morrigan, whose golden hands Cassian had let touch him- Mor, who he’d trusted for centuries- Morrigan, the shining light of truth, who reached with her greater power, and kept Feyre from her sister’s side. Wrapped both soft arms around her, restraint a mockery of embrace.
“It’s okay, Fey,” Mor said, cheek pressed beside the crown they’d put atop Feyre’s head, northern diamonds shining. “It’s going to die. It’s not her. We’ll find your sister, whatever they did to her.”
Color did not all come back at once, but in a wall.
Red, red, silently screaming red- Nesta was still bleeding and he could smell it, stinging iron and sweet immortal sap.
“That is Nesta Archeron,” Azriel’s voice was a dead thing, dark as the shadow still clinging to his body as he put him between Cassian and the room.
“That is a changeling,” Morrigan snapped, “Look at her face. Look at her, Az. I haven’t seen one since the war, but look at her. Beguilement. Enchantment. See how she compels you? Think. Humans don’t succumb to faebane poisoning.”
“Who,” Elain said, rising to her feet, “Said we were human?”
Cassian told himself not to move. He did not need to worry for Elain- Vanserra would no more let Morrigan hurt her than Cassian himself could allow even those people he’d considered family near Nesta now, breathing so, so shallow.
Just a whisper.
Hardly a sound.
“Our mother was,” Feyre shook her head, blue eyes planetary with tears, “We’re mostly human.”
“Fey,” Mor breathed, squeezing her shoulders, “That is not a mostly human creature. Listen. The wards are singing.”
Despite the journey, Elain wore still that shining, human dress Cassian had last seen her in. Ever flounce sunrise pink, sheer and dragging, it hissed over the stone. In torchlight, her hair caught nearly the same color, soft. Serene.
He could see the steel in her shoulders, every bit Nesta’s other half.
Hands linked before her, she stopped right in front of Morrigan. Tipped her head in light humans manners, the acknowledgment of equal. A bob, a nod, posture unwavering.
“Say it again.” Elain Archeron’s sweet voice entreated, so blandly polite Cassian got to see Mor blink.
“What?”
“Say it again,” A snap so quiet Cassian doubted anyone but himself heard it, hiding behind her rising voice, “Say again that my sister is a creature you plan to watch die.”
“Mor doesn’t mean”-
“Feyre,” Rhysand murmured, midnight in a voice, and just like that, drew her away. Out of Mor’s grasp and into his arms, pale spangled clothes shining against the night sky he’d dressed himself as. He pulled her close.
They’d been having a dinner- while Nesta was dying in his arms.
The candles still burned. Pretty piled high platters and the simple silver Rhysand preferred, this whole regal blue room a mirror to stars and starlight. If they’d bothered to open the doors, it would have been the real thing.
“It is my duty,” Morrigan recited, “To see the truth.”
“Hard to do without using your magic,” Lucien spit.
“We are human.” Elain remarked, with a tilt of her head. Cassian blinked- thought, for a second, he saw sparks. “See, by your reckoning Lady Morrigan, even a drop of mortal blood is enough to taint. There are many, many of us who are forced to hide the legacy of bondage.”
Glass breaking, Mor sucked in a laugh. “That is not five hundred years of trickle down.”
“No.” Elain shook her head, gentle. Golden curls and yes, fire. Gilded red gold pink, pink, pink, shattered daylight sun danced up her bared shoulders. “That is my mother’s magic.”
And then, fae quick, she raised her palm and blew a shining cloud into Morrigan’s face. Beads, unbound by the bracelet Elain had broken to crunch two of their number in her grip fell to the floor, pinging off stone in time for Morrigan to crash down with them.

what are ur best terror ships??? /wllipt
so as you might have guessed I have a soft spot for hickey. so hickey/gibson and hickey/tozer are my faves.
Adding on this i can add the unappreciated and overlooked but with actually a lot of potential ship: gibson/tozer, hear me out: they're in a situationship with the same weird little guy but they're polar opposite (introvert vs extrovert, judgy vs friendly, self-reliant vs loyal, it's-not-personal-but-it's-finished vs get-me-off-these-chains-cornelius!, we'll-be-flogged vs walking to the gallows together aka not wanting trouble vs risking everything) and yet those two clever, practical, peaceful, skilled men fall for the same guy.
I think exactly for those contradictions they can have such an interesting dynamic.
If Billy had more scenes people would appreciate him more. Tozer gets flashed out a lot more, has different interactions and we get to see his character arc. Billy's arc tho happens mostly off-screen. even his talk with irving is off-screen. we don't see how billy reacts AFTER the flogging (it's implied he and hickey didn't interact much and that hickey spent more time with the marines) but then again we see so little from billy's pov one really needs to pay attention to him to notice the shades of his personality.
anyway. i got lost, back to the question: gibson/hickey/tozer is my ot3, because on one side
-> tozer adds a sense of stability to hickey/gibson that they alone don't have.
on the other side
<- gibson is the reality check to hickey/tozer. dont get me wrong but hickey/tozer is also (much slower than hickey/gibson) on a self-destruction path. you know tozer can't say no to hickey until it's too late. So billy would be the canary to the coalmine that can be hickey's lastest scheme.
basically I'm a hickey shipper, with the right setup i'm all for hickey/manson, hickey/irving, and even hickey/hartnell. hickey/goodsir too! i forgot about them
i see why people might enjoy hickey/crozier but i'm not part of the 'fuck that old man' club so i don't actively look up for those.
I can also see the appeal for hickey/jopson, but to me jopson isn't flashed out enough to be interesting. he's just very needy for crozier approval. to me he doesn't carry anything on his own, he's got eldest daughter syndrome and he's the guy from tweeter who says i don't have an opinion on my own, if a beautiful girl tells me to change my mind I will. but for crozier. sorry for the jopson enjoyers. nothing personal, that character doesn't resound with me. i don't have daddy issues.
other ships i enjoy are: tozer/armitage, manson/hartnell, heather/being alive, anyone/hodgson bc hodge is a case study, it's interesting for interpretation. honorable mention goodsir/silna
honorable non-mention bridgens/peglar, bc they're already happy in canon or into a realtionship of some kind so i don't feel the need to explore that more.
and this is it.
hope you found this answer interesting and...not to long and have a good day <3

let me drop some drama on y’all — in the last year + 7 days, I:
reconnected with multiple friends from high school at a wedding I legally officiated for two old friends
realized in hindsight that I had liked one of our classmates when we were in school, who had attended the wedding and was now recently divorced
started talking to him very often and, by proxy, the husband I officiated the wedding for
started an on-off flirtation with the divorced friend — [clarification: HE started it, but I was very receptive when I realized what he was doing, it just took me a while]
became the “dump my mental health problems” friend for the husband^ who I’ve said is like a baby brother to me for *checks calendar* 12+ years
was accused by my friend’s wife AND the friend that I was flirting with that I was having an affair with the husband or at least harboring romantic feelings for him
she also accused me of behaving like her abusive mother, when I told her she was out of line for even thinking I would have an affair with (1) her husband (2) who I kept saying was like a baby brother to me
held an intervention for the husband about his ragingly out of control anxiety, where he proceeded to, like, beat the windows of the car and yell and be violent [not at me but around me and I was very triggered and scared] — after which he said he couldn’t trust me anymore because I was projecting my anxiety onto him, and he was fine
fell into an episode of psychosis because I was surrounded by people who didn’t trust me for reasons they’d all made up in their heads, and were all mad at me for ❤️
[while in psychosis] dealt with the guy I was flirting with talking about wanting to sleep with his coworker, and being very on/off + hot/cold with me — which I wrote off as post-divorce emotional problems I just needed to be patient through lmao
[while in psychosis] dealt with the husband’s mental breakdown about never wanting to get married in the first place, dragging my family and the family of the guy I was flirting with into the mess — we got the husband pink slipped and I stopped talking to him and his wife
was told by the friend that had been flirting with me that he’d been leading me on, as he proceeded to ditch me for another friend that I helped him reconnect with — but promised me that we were besties and nothing would change!! (how kind. also? he broke that promise immediately and called me difficult)
dealt with his new girlfriend lying to me about them not being together, because no!! hoes before bros, Alex, I would never date someone who hurt my friend!! but also you need to be personally accountable for feeling hurt!!
there’s more in the way they’ve both treated me since he decided he was done with me, but my therapist and I are still parsing through it
turns out I probably don’t need to be taking Ativan twice a day and sleeping after work + all night bc of the high dosage, I just needed to start cutting out bad friends! my anxiety has never been more managed now that I’ve decided to listen to every other friend that’s told me these ones were all no good for me! I do need the anti-psychotics, though. I heard voices for 2 months and it was NOT a good time.
I didn’t have this much drama in my life ten years ago when we were actual children — the next time I start posting about liking a man, someone remind me that it brings me absolute misery. None of this would have happened if I hadn’t wanted to hop on his dick 🙄🙄🙄

nothing in the Barbie movie was as immensely real as Gloria’s husband (a man married to and is the father of Hispanic women) still on duolingo learning the word for Pen in Spanish.
like his kid is in junior high so it’s been at least 11 years and that’s still his level.

i recently did an essay for university about how male violence are in the top 5 causes of death for women in many countries around the world. after finishing it i am having to physically restrain myself from drop-kicking people who say we need to include cis men more or we need to pander to them or "both genders do it". bitch please show me a map of a single country where women killing men is on the same level as multiple cities let alone countries
RIGHT!!!! like YES there is female on male violence and im not saying theres not, but the problem is that ppl only bring that up to avoid talking about female victims. its only for a point, its never out of genunine empathy!! otherwise they would be talking abt mlm violence. they just mention it to discredit female victims!!!
