Back at it again with another Reguri AU that I don't have time to write. So steal it please! Seriously feel free to write, draw, or use it to distract your mind enough to fall asleep (is that a thing other people do or am I just freaking weird)
-Red and Green are on their honeymoon in alola (duh) and they are doing a fun little couples battle with some of the alolan pokemon they've caught
-one of the tapu's sees them and wants to fuck with them cause they're unhinged (my 5 year old has rewatched the sun/moon anime like 15 times and i still can't remember which one does what)
-sends green back into time (note this is gonna be like dragon ball z time travel where it just created a new timeline or whatever)
-he gets transported midbattle with little red, but like not the championship and most of his pokemon haven't evolved yet
-Big!green is just like awwww you guys were so cute, little!red immediately realizes that somehow Green aged like 12 years in a flash and is obv confused, green explains that he was on vacay with his Red and got sent here somehow, let's go to the lab and see if gramps can help
-they travel to the lab or whatever, and the prof is immediately like "My dead son!" cause my hc is that green looks identical to his dad, and big!green is like nah sorry gramps it's just me from the future
-and they all talk and little!red is like, you aren't an asshole, anymore? and big!green like apologizes for little!green, and is like it may not seem like it but i know he cares about you, because big!green knows that during their journey he realized he had feelings for red, but like didn't want them so he just started being an asshole
-at some point daisy sees the ring and is like "oh you got married?! Whos the lucky lady anyone we know yet?" and big!green kinda like does an awkward quick glance at little!red, and is trying to figure out how to not out his past self because this isn't his secret to tell
-the prof is like 'oh holy shit you and red figured things out' cause he observes and figured it out when green was like 7 or something, and little!red is like wtf and big!green is like yeah but not for a while and then he gives little!red some training just cause what else are they going to do, plus little!red is having a crisis, cause he thinks his version of green hates him
-then it like flips to big!red's perspective and little!green shows up freaking out shouting for his red cause they were just together, and he see's big!red who is swole af and doesn't look that much like his red so he thinks his red has been kidnapped or something, and little!green goes absolutely feral, cause remember he has feelings for his red
-he's like i'll kill you, did you hurt him, where's red, and big!red is like this is the most adorable thing I've ever seen, and like big!green at one point had told him that he had feelings for Red when they were small but Red didn't really believe it until that moment, and also he's like hmmm green and i should adopt cause he's like high on honeymoon and little!green is such a cutie
-Big!Red is like i'm red, it's fine, little!green doesn't believe it until big!red brings up something that like only he would remember like they caught a caterpie together or something idk
-big!red goes and buys little!green some food and they kinda talk and little!green can't stop staring cause wow big!red looks so different, then he sees the wedding ring and is like devastated, and is trying not to cry or whatever and big!red is like able to read him like a book cause it's green even though it's little!green it's still green, and he like pulls out his phone and it's a photo from their wedding and little!green like short circuts cause he didn't even realize that was an option
-somehow they get to switch back and the other timeline red/green work out their issues quickly both with knowledge of the future and they start dating at like 14, cause 11 year olds don't date, and red never goes up the mountain except for the occasional week of training and green always goes with him and it's never angsty like the other timeline
-the alolan honeymooners are just glad to be together again and they finish their time in alola and red's like let's adopt and green's like whatever makes you happy

#Pokemon yellow online playr free
Keeping Pikachu happy is easy - keep it in your party and make sure its HP doesn't get too low. If you turn towards Pikachu you can check its mood. Note that if you trade your Pikachu with someone, it will cease to appear on the map screen.
#Pokemon yellow online playr tv
Like in the TV series, Pikachu doesn't like to rest in a Poké Ball and prefers to follow you around at all times. While this may seem like a limitation at first, it actually adds the ability to get all three Blue/Red starters ( Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle) into your party - without any trading or cheating. Of course, one of the biggest differences that you'll notice right off the bat is that you don't choose your starting Pokémon. While most of the puzzles and locations are exactly the same as in the predecessors, certain plot elements and characters in Pokémon Yellow have been altered to more closely match the Pokémon TV show. Pokemon Centers can heal your Pokemon, but you'll be screwed if you don't have the next best thing far from a town.Pokemon Yellow Notes - Pokémon Yellow's quest is almost identical to the adventure in Pokémon Red and Blue. Also, be sure to stock up on Potions and Antidotes. Be sure to know what kind of Pokemon they use, then get Pokemon who are more resistant to that kind, and can do more damage to it. You gain these by defeating the Gym Leaders from town to town. You will also need Badges to get into the Pokemon League. Do not defeat it, or you will not be able to catch it! Then when it's weakened enough, select a Pokeball, then it will be decided if you caught it or not. Then you must go into a wood-like area, and walk around until you encounter a wild Pokemon. Buy them at Markets or find them in forests, caves, and the like. You'll start out with one before you go off and battle, but one just isn't enough. In order to succeed in this game, you'll need to catch creatures called Pokemon. But in case you haven't played either, here's how it works. Face off against Blastoise's torrential water gun. The Worlds Closing Ceremony Brings New Surprises and Reveals Next Year’s Venue Discover new details about the Pokmon TCG and the Pokmon Scarlet and Pokmon Violet video games as the 2022 Pokmon World Championships come to an end.

{{ Could you tell us more about Plum? I saw their name in the moveset post, and that selection of moves really intrigued me! Why the selection of ghost/psychic moves? What do they do on the island? Are they as prickly as the move selection made them sound? Super intrigued!
Plum grew up in the city, with very well off parents, who pretty much gave her the world. While that had its benefits, it came with some down sides. She became very entitled, putting herself on a pedestal and demanding a lot of others. When she wanted to become a ranger, to be like the cool actresses in the movies, attempting daring rescues, fighting crime with their Pokemon. Her family bought her a dratini as a first Pokemon, and paid to enrol her in the ranger academy.
At the same time, peach had been recommended for the same course by local authorities that wanted to channel her destructive nature into something more useful. She was indifferent to doing it, so just went along with the whole thing.
Day one, the pair met their class, their teachers, and the campus. They immediately clashed. Plum was being snide and condescending to other students, peach was sitting behind her, called her some unpleasant things with her stupid dead-pan face, they broke into a fight pretty soon after.
This behaviour continued for four months before the teachers began to explore other options for the pair. Plum had proven incapable of handling her rogue dratini, it paid her no attention, and was often disruptive and chaotic. However she was very astute on the written tests, and technical knowledge of the law. Peach on the other had was suited to the practical learning, her and her vulpix were agile and effective at battles. She however only just scraped by with the written content, and slacked in classes, did just enough to pass with the least amount of effort put in. And so the crazy idea of the pair having to work together at all times until they get along was born. If they didn’t achieve this, together as a team, they would both be booted off the ranger program.
Plum was distraught, the ranger training was hard, it was nothing like the movies showed, she felt cheated out of what she wanted. Her new human partner was a nightmare, rude, blunt, disrespectful, irritating. Her Pokemon partner was unruly, why didn’t it like her? She bought it the nicest things, and fussed over it, and all it would do was run away or try to break all her expensive things. Nothing had turned out right for plum, it was not going to her plan.
The pair had three months to get it together, or they were out.
First month they argued constantly, nitpicking behaviours, being petty, generally getting nothing done well. Peach would bring their collective grade down to spite plum, and plum would slow down and spook Pokemon in the wild constantly, making it impossible to do anything tactical.
Second month peach got sick and tired of plum’s dratini being unruly, and began to secretly work with it to build some trust, whenever plum wasn’t watching. Because plum’s head was always in the books, she was completely unaware of this going on. Instead she studied and brought their written grade up, making sure to compensate for her lazy human partner.
Month three was when plum caught on that peach was working with her Pokemon. They were out tracking an injured aipom, trying to help. Plum’s dratini was out, and it bolted off in one direction, plum called it, it didn’t respond, peach did the same, and it turned immediately to come back, returning to plum’s side. Shocked, plum for once said nothing. They managed to successfully track and trap the injured Pokemon, and give it aid before release. The mark of the first actual successful mission.
Plum began to actually look at what peach was doing, for the first time, she took her head out of the books and secretly began to observe. Observation turned to practice. She started to use things peach was doing, to connect with her partner, and grow their bond.
By the end of their trial three months as a duo team, they had not stopped arguing, fuelled by their newly developed bitter rivalry. Instead of crushing each other down during drills and exams, they worked to out-do each other. A save of your partner was a win, because you could rub it in their face that you were the reason they weren’t hurt. It was enough for the teachers to allow them both to stay on the course.
This continued for a year and a half, they were very volatile together, but always got the job done. It was then that peach had a run in with some truly horrible poachers, and found herself in possession of a Teddiursa with a lot of trauma. There was only one thing to do, the ranger course was regimented and strict, and that didn’t suit her lifestyle. Peach left for the mountains to work with the new member of her team, ditching plum and all her connections without a word.
Plum was furious she would just leave, and vowed to do better than peach ever could have. She finished the ranger course, worked her way up the ladder, and achieved a high ranking admin position after a number of years. Her rich taste never changed, her family money never ran out. Perhaps she could have been brought back down to earth if she had to work with someone like peach for longer, her now faithful dratini had evolved in that time, but always reminded her of the early years, when things were exciting, and she had a strong goal to achieve bigger and better things than her ranger partner.
With new labs popping up, and new connections being made, plum was assigned liaison duty with Dotaku island, unaware that her once small, young rival, was now a big, strong professor. Plum’s dragonair was the tell. It sensed peach a mile off, for the first time in many years, bolting off towards her when it first touched down on the island. Plum saw peach, peach saw plum, snide comments followed, that escalated to insults, then to shouting. And finally the realisation that they had to work together again after all those years.
Now when the ranger bases local to the island catch something that needs specialist care, they send it through, and plum will be the one who handles their cases, and eventual release or rehoming. She does all the paperwork and organising, and the labs handle the actual care and rehabilitation.
Plum is still childish at times, usually quite snide when provoked, but has become strategic and observational about how she handles most things. After graduating top of her class, she’d had a complex about being the best, and prides herself on that. Her paperwork is flawless, her analytical skills top notch. She does however fall short on her people skills, folks do find her snooty at times. She’s taken full advantage of her family money, and bought a lot of gear and lessons to improve her skills over the years. She does lose herself when confronted with her old rival, and both tend to resort to playground tactics.

A few more days passed, the whole island was preparing to lose two staff members for a short while so ther was a handful of new Pokemon squads on patrols, and a lot of handing over of work to Professor Grey and Pari who were happy to stay behind for the time being. Seeing as the trip to the Crown Tundra area in Galar was looming, peach had put in special permission to bring along Valka, her age and subsequently monstrous skill made her usually unable to travel, trained to a fine point, putting her in a gym battle or a league seemed very unfair, but the locals seemed to think she’d fit the bill, Professor Magnolia had mentioned the abundance of legendary Pokemon in the area, so it would seem wise to take along a Pokemon that was able to hold its own.
With bags packed and bodies in seats the woman and her apprentice began the trip back to Galar, not only to collect more data on the new areas, but also to gather Devra’s team mates up to bring back to the island. The flight back was fine, Peach slept, drooling a bit, legs tucked up in the plane seat, her single Pokemon stashed for the journey, it felt uncomfortable having Valka in her pokeball, it didn’t happen often.
Devra had spent most of her free time packing for the trip, and the rest of it bonding with the two Pokémon she’d be bringing to the tundra. She had to make sure Aliza and her newest Pokémon Coal were strong enough to hold up in the tundra. Fiona helped her load with training her daughter, trusting her human to take care of Aliza but also wanting to make sure she’d be okay too. Now that they were on the plane Devra sat in the window seat, watching the clouds go buy. As they got closer to landing she gently nudged Peach. “Professor? We’re almost there.” She then looked out again, excited to see her mom again, as well as all of her other Pokémon.
Peach grunted, awoke with a jolt, and looked around, dazed and somewhat still very asleep, looking rather disheveled. Drool sticking hair to her face, squinty tired eyes, and a miserable headache. Water and pills as she waited to get the green light to get off the plane, and finally see her partner again, the ball sat in her pocket, in her hand, waiting patiently.
by the time they had disembarked, got their luggage and had caught a flying taxi towards Devra’s home, they had been able to finally take in the scenery, and enjoy the view as they made their way back to postwick, a quiet little town full of wooloo keepers and families.
“you must be happy to get home, see the family, you’re old Pokemon.”
Devra had given the corviknight a warm hello when they were picked up, being familiar with his taxi team. “I’m super excited. I told mom we were coming the other day. I think she’s going to have tea and cake waiting for us. I think you’ll be happy for the tea. She says my Pokémon have all been keeping an eye out for me. I have a feeling there’s going to be a mob when I get of the taxi.” She laughed as she saw her house come into view, here eyes bright and happy.
The pair thanked the taxi driver, and his delightful Pokemon, watching them fly off, leaving them outside a quaint little home, the front door swinging open in haste, a woman stepping out, presumably Devra’s mother? Peach smiled a bit, trying to come off as pleasant, and let Dev take the lead here. In her pocket she could feel the pokeball shake, Val trying to get out.
“not yet bud, let’s just get settled, not long now.” She murmured very quietly, not drawing any attention to herself.
Devra glanced over at Peach, her own poke balls in hand. “You can let her out now Peach. Most of my guys know to be polite around new visitors.” She let out Coal and Aliza, the young ponyta snorting as she was finally able to stretch out. Devra quickly explained things to them before a loud cry was heard from the side of the house. “Oh boy...give me a second.” She got up and quickly put some space between the little group and the hoard of Pokémon coming at her. She soon disappeared in a mass of excited cries, her laugher still being heard.
This was...expected. Peach had caught Devra chatting on her phone across videos to a lot of these Pokemon, all shapes and sizes, so she took a perch on the fence out of the way, and let the mob rush over and get their affection out of their systems. The poor girl within the crowd was far from unhappy about it all, they seemed like relatively well behaved Pokemon. While the ruckus went on, she release her darling fire type, who shook her whole body thoroughly, hating the feel of pokeballs, sending little embers out of her fine fur, before seeing the group, and scaling a tree to be as far out of the way as possible. Peach looked up to her, a small almost unnoticeable grin on her face. “you’re probably right to get some distance, never been one for socialising hey buddy.” She grumbled, folded her legs up under her and sat like a loaf in the tree.
As Devra made her rounds through the mob, four figures bounded over to the grumpy woman. Two of them were applin, both rolling around at her feet. Then a smaller than normal dreepy floating slightly behind the excited little ponyta that stood happily in front of peach.
The quad of new and quite familiar Pokemon approached, Peach for once had no snacks in her pockets, fresh from the airport with its restrictions, she rummaged to no avail.
“ah sorry guys, I normally have snacks on me, I’ll have to go shopping sometime soon.” Instead holding her hand out to see if they wanted to sniff. The applin had her attention in particular, her trip to Galar was cut short due to a medical emergency back at the labs, so she never had a chance to catch any or observe them. “you’re all certainly very strong looking aren’t you.” The ponyta reminded her of home, in a weird way, growing up with the species just being around, she became use to them from an early age, though this youngster was Galarian and very different in appearance.
Devra looked over at peach and grinned, seeing her with four particular Pokémon. She managed to make her way over to the little group, her Gardevoir holding onto her harm as she went. “Looks like you met your surprise.”
“my what?” She was a little dense at times, head empty. By this point they’d gotten a bit closer to her, she had been able to pet them all a little, besides the Dreepy who was a little more shy from the looks of it. Val stayed high up and observed quietly, she was use to sharing her human, this was not new to her.
“Your surprise! You were so excited when you saw the Pokedex entries for applin, and curious about Dreepy. So I thought I’d get you a gift for all the help you’ve given me. The ponyta is kind of a bonus. The dreepy has gotten kind of attached to him, so I don’t think it would be smart to split them up.” She laughed as she was hugged buy the gallede as well, the two obviously fond of their human.
“wow, that’s really thoughtful of you, you know you didn’t have to do all this right? But thank you regardless.” Peach didn’t think she’d be getting a few team mates so fast, some may have to go home for now, they’d be too young for battling in the Crown Tundra just yet. “‘what do you all think then? You want to see if we get along? Don’t have to stick with me if you gave it a try and don’t enjoy it, but it’d be nice to get to know you all a lot more for sure.” She directed her questions to the Pokemon before her, not focusing on the little ghost type too much to not freak them out. It would certainly be nice to have the company, and there was no other fox pokemon so Val wasn’t bothered by their presence at all. With so many around it really felt a bit more like home.
Devra laughed as the applin bounced happily. “Oh don’t you worry. They’ve been super excited to meet you. I’ve been telling all about you and what you do for Pokémon. The dreepy has been excited too, but he’s just a little shy.”
“oh! So you all knew me before I even knew you, well that explains why you all came over so quickly.” The woman laughed a bit, noticing Val descend from the tree behind them, sitting bout a meter back from the others, there was a shimmer you could almost not notice around her, she was putting up a barrier to give herself some space, but seemed rather calm and not at all in discomfort around these new faces. Peach shifted to the side a bit, gesturing to her beloved partner. “well then everyone, meet Valka, she’s...well, family. hopefully you’ll all get along and learn a lot from each other. If you’re worried or want some advice, please ask me or Val and we’ll try to help.” Her attention shifted to the Dreepy who was still hiding a bit behind the Ponyta.
“‘Ah, and don’t worry little guy-“ her eyes glanced about secretively, trying to be a little less scary with her expressions, softening as she whispered a little to him. “‘you and me can be shy together, I’m not great with big crowds or lots of eyes on me either. If you ever think it’s too much for you, you can hide behind me and I’ll scare off whoever’s bothering ya, I’ll be the brave one when you can’t.” She did laugh, this wasn’t the first shy Pokemon she’d had to handle, and they had a lot of love to give normally, just took time to get them comfortable. Her attention now off of him, she let Val so her usual thing, advance to the group, sit in her lap, and discuss with the others, get ting to know them a bit. One applin seemed happy to crawl up onto the professors shoulder, the other wiggling up next to her leg where she sat.
“‘honestly Dev they’re all darlings, I’m sure we’ll all get along great in time.”
She grinned happily as she watched Peach with the little group. “I’m really glad it worked out. I was a little nervous that they still might be too shy. Well, besides the dreepy. Oh!” She dug in her bag and pulled out an odd looking apple. “I almost forgot this! It’s a Sweet Apple. You can use it to evolve one of the applin into an appleton.” There was a happy rumble from behind her as her own Appleton stepped forward. “There’s another apple called a Tart apple that can get you a flapple like mine too. But I haven’t been able to find one yet.”
The mention of the specific fruits found in Galar caught the professors attention, also noticing the big rounded Pokemon approach upon seeing it. The Appleton was actually surprisingly small for a dragon type, shin height, and possibly the cutest looking thing peach had seen in a while. She accepted the fruit thankfully and had to look it over, sniffing it, and all too tempted to take a bite to figure out what it’d be best suited to, from the name, it’d be a really good eating apple, the tart one however would be a cooking sort no doubt.
“ill have to keep my eye out, I must have missed this all last time I was here, good thing you kept your eyes peeled for this.” She let everyone of the new youngsters around her have a chance at looking over the apple too, even Val took a sniff. It was always good to let them see as much of the world as possible, and all the items it contained.
“Maybe one of the pair will like the chance to evolve one day, they’ve probably had time while staying here to meet your pair of Pokemon who chose to evolve, so who knows.” She looked to the two Applin who she had become very fond of quite quickly, they had surprisingly big personalities for such small species, giving each other grief at any given opportunity, like bickering siblings. “they’ll figure it out when they are ready.”
She smiled as she glanced back at the house, waving to her mom as she came to meet them now that the chaos had settled down. “My moms name is Olivia by the way. Not sure if I told you that.”
“you did not.” She said matter of factly, and stood to greet the woman who looked very happy to see her daughter. The woman herself had a fair bit of resemblance to Devra, they shared a few mannerisms too peach noticed while offering a smile and a handshake, which did slightly throw Olivia, she had intended to go for a hug, but saw the social queue and changed it up.
“it’s really nice to meet you, you’re daughters been a real asset out in Johto, you should come and visit her some time perhaps, see what she gets up to.”
Olivia smiles warmly at Peach as she shook hands with her. “It’s wonderful to finally meet you as well Professor. Devra has told me so much about you and the island. I’ll have to make a trip out some time. I’ve been meaning to take a holiday for some time now.” She then turned to her daughter and gave her a massive hug, inviting both of them inside for a rest before they continued their trip.

-Laughs Nervously- What am I dooOIIIINNGGGG @prof-peach Well Obviously I’m writing but like, I just....? Goodness I’m sorry. Small backstory, I’ve wanted to write about my pokemon ranger OC and her partner for a While now. And your blog inspires me a lot! So I wrote a tiny little something! Under the Read More!
With her legs leaning over and out of the ship, a grinning pokemon ranger observed as the sight of land drew ever closer. She inhaled the salty tang of the air deeply.  “Ahhhhh…! Can you smell that in the air, Sheva?” She asked her Flygon who was leaning their upper body over the protective railing of the ship where its trainer was haphazardly perched. Sheva trilled back, making the ranger laugh. “Same here, I can’t smell ANYTHING other than the seawater!! This is nothing like where we’ve been stationed for the past six months! Johto is absolutely beautiful!” Breaking the peace and comfort of the ferry trip, she felt her pokemon partner press its face into her chest with a small whimper. She rubbed Sheva’s snout affectionately, carting her free hand through the soft fluff that decorated her Flygon’s chest.
“Rrrrrnnn!” Sheva protested, whining.
“I know, I know… It’s scary to think of the reason why we’re headed to Dotaku Island in the first place. But Sheva, Professors Peach and Grey will be able to help you get back into the sky again. And then we can fly across all of Orre just like we used to, we can be official partners again. Just promise me you won’t push them away out of stubbornness.” Before Sheva could respond, the pair heard the ferry captain’s voice on the speakers
“Now docking at Dotaku Isle.”
“Wonderful! Sheva, let's get down and confirm our appointment with Professor Grey!”
~*~
“Oh, San! You made it in person, that’s wonderful news.” San turned her head to the voice that called her, smiling wide when she recognized it was Professor Grey. The young ranger cantered over to the professor, happy that he recognized her so quickly. The two had been in contact over the last few weeks, trying to figure out the exact needs for Sheva and whether she would be better off with prosthetics or a regimen for therapy.
“Of course I did! When you offered to examine Sheva, I was overjoyed I couldn’t stop thinking about it in every waking hour I had! I would have come sooner too, if I wasn’t in a constant kerfuffle with the Orre Police Department trying to get official leave for this trip.” Grey offered a sympathetic smile to her.
“As I understand, you are one of the few pokemon rangers partnered with the Orre force that isn’t stationed in Pyrite, correct?” San exhaled harshly, shaking her head.
“Yes, I’m helping create and clear space for the new Pokemon HQ Lab by day, and in the evening it's usually only Sheva and I who can patrol the sun-parched dunes of the desert.” The exhaustion from San’s almost nonstop efforts to keep the region safe from the likes of danger must have permanently etched themselves onto the creases on her face and the weariness of her limbs by now. She couldn’t remember the last time she even did something for herself.
“I understand, I’m especially relieved you were able to make it then! Now, where’s your partner? In her pokeball?” San shook her head.
“Oh no! Sheva never goes into her pokeball. In fact I don’t even think I bring it with me on the regular.” There was a moment of pause.
“I see… So where is your partner now? You said she was grounded and unable to fly still.” A panic set into San’s body, shaking off her obliviousness to the world around her.
“Sheva? SHEVA?!” Sheva couldn’t have gone far, she felt the dragon pokemon’s claws on her shoulders just moments ago before she went to greet Professor Grey.
“Now, aren’t you the most curious thing I ever did see on a Saturday morning!” San and the professor quickly made their way over, the former of which placed a hand on her chest to calm her beating heart. Sheva was in one of the most capable hands on the island, Professor Peach was already eyeing Sheva with what seemed to be delight and fascination.
“Ah there you are, Sheva! Making friends? And here I was worried you’d be too apprehensive!” Sheva turned to San and crooned delightedly as Peach found one of her favorite spots to be scratched just under its chin.
“I see… You certainly have more wings than I was expecting to see on a Flygon, and you’re spotting some of the softest down I’ve felt on any dragon type I’ve had the pleasure to meet. Ataria descended, maybe? Not quite. Hmm, oh… No! One of your parents must have been a Volcarona!” San couldn’t help but smile as Peach affectionately regarded Sheva, and only snapped out of her stupor when Sheva placed its chin over its trainer’s head.
“H-hello Professor Peach! My name is San and I’ve travelled from Orre in search of some guidance and help for my partner Sheva. Do you think you can help us?”
~*~*~*~
Some small notes in case anyone was wondering:
San is a trainer originally from Unova but was stationed in the Orre Region after graduating from the ranger academy. Sheva is her Volcarona-variant Flygon because I’m absolutely OBSESSED with the idea of pokemon variants and I wanted to include two of my favorite pokemon that can actually breed in the games.
Sheva has more than one pair of wings, I can’t decide if she’d have four or six wings total, but two of them were torn from a bad encounter with Team Snagem  who was after Sheva because she was a strange looking pokemon and fully evolved. Sheva also has some chest fluff like Volcarona does! Sheva loves to be petted on the chest and chin especially
Sheva cannot fly as of now, whether it is due to the trauma of the attack or because she’s not used to using one less pair of wings is what San is trying to figure out. That’s why she arrived on the island seeking help and counsel from Professor Grey who is the expert in prosthetics just in case Sheva might need some to fly again.
And I plan on writing a little more down the line too! I have a few ideas of San and Sheva on Dotaku island that I’d like to explore in time.

Well I always like to ask just in case you guys are the ones who have to see it on your dashboards
I’m very glad you’re exited though so crossover details go
The Starters
Because we have different lords heading up the titular three houses, and each one leans heavily into certain color and element themes similar to the common starter trio in mainline Pokemon games, it becomes almost a no-brainer to say that the Lords from Three Houses are your starter choices in this game.  For Edelgard, you have Embird, a fire-type eagle; for Dimitri you have Parcub, a water-type lion; and for Claude you have Fawnceal, a grass-type deer, reflecting both their house color schemes and emblems.
These starters, however, are unique in many ways.  To begin with, no matter which one you pick, they will always have a set gender, nature, and characteristic; they will also have perfect IVs and their hidden ability, rather than the standard one.  Since they are meant to reflect specific people, you’ll also have a limited choice on nicknames, similar to the original Red/Blue giving you options for your name and your rival’s: for Embird, it would be along the lines of “Edelgard” and “El”; for Parcub, it would be things like “Dimitri” and “Dima”; and for Fawnceal, you would have choices like “Claude” and “Khalid.”
Whichever starter you pick is also going to be your companion throughout the entire game.  As with Pokemon Yellow and the Let’s Go games, your starter will follow you outside of its pokeball, and you’ll be able to turn around and interact with them whenever you want to build your bond and get a feel for their mood.  Unlike these games, though, your starter cannot be put into a box, traded, or left at the daycare: they’re your companion, and they will stay that way throughout the game.  To give players more opportunities to train pokemon other than their starter, though (and to allow more freedom for people who like to play hardcore styles like Nuzlocke), there is a special “starter slot” that effectively allows you to bring seven pokemon with you; however, only your starter is allowed to take this extra slot, and while they’re in it they cannot be used in battle and will not gain experience or IVs even if the ExpShare is being used: they’ll just follow you around in the overworld so that you can interact with them.  To swap your starter back into your team, one of the other six will need to be returned to the PC.
In addition, each starter has a unique talent allowing them to access things that are normally unavailable: for Embird’s line, you can engage any NPC in the wilds to a battle, including those who normally are just there to offer advice or healing (since if they’re past the tall grass, they have to have pokemon); for Parcub’s line, they can detect secret entrances to the evil organization’s bases (which otherwise can only be found through either trial and error or by talking to people for hints on where to look -- plus they’re likely randomized every time a new game is started); and for Fawnceal’s line, they can locate areas well off the beaten path with new people to talk to, secrets to uncover, and pokemon to befriend.
The Rivals
Much in the way that the starters are all based on the Lords from the game, the rivals are based on their retainers: Hubert will always choose Embird for his starter, Dedue will always choose Parcub for his, and Hilda will always choose Fawnceal for hers.  Byleth, of course, throws a wrench into the system, since they will be picking one of those three pokemon as their own starter, meaning that you end up with two rivals (one for each of the two you didn’t select) while the last will become the professor’s assistant, who will occasionally seek you out on Hanneman’s behalf.
Each rival also has unique information to share as the game progresses.  Hubert knows a great deal about the evil organization, and informs you of their existence and misdeeds; Hilda’s older brother Holst is a gym leader, so she tells you about the gym challenges; and Dedue is quite well traveled, and can point you toward special locations yielding rare items like high quality berries or pokemon that only appear at certain times/on certain days.  During the main path of the game, you’ll come across two of these characters routinely and therefore gain insight into your chosen starter’s evolutionary path, along with some extra challenges or exploration opportunities; however, the last rival will only give you that information if you backtrack to Hanneman’s lab to talk to them, something that can be tiresome and challenging in the early game before you have access to transport moves like Fly.  Ultimately, this means that you’ll likely have one gameplay challenge that goes unexplored until very late in the game or after the credits roll.
Along with the information they provide, each rival also has unique interactions with you.  Hubert is highly competitive and will always fight you when you cross paths, only giving you information after you beat him; he also gives you the occasional item to strengthen your pokemon, like Protein or Iron.  Dedue is much more peaceful and will give you a choice about whether you want to battle or not (though you have a limited window where you can change your mind if you say ‘no’); he gives you information regardless of whether you choose to fight him or not, and frequently gives you special berries when you meet him.  Hilda considers battling to be way too much effort and will only battle you a few times under normal circumstances (though with Embird’s special talent you can induce a challenge against her), preferring to give you information instead and usually giving you a held item “accessory” when you meet her.
The Challenges
Unlike the usual mainline Pokemon games, this game's traditional objectives -- the gym challenge, fighting the evil organization, completing the pokedex -- can be prioritized and tackled in a more focused manner, with incentives to do so dependent on your starter choice, since each starter’s evolution is tied to a specific narrative element.  For Embird, you need to acquire six badges in order to evolve her into Empyre; for Parcub, you need to beat three executives of the evil organization to evolve him into Soverain; and for Fawnceal, you need to talk to 500 people throughout the region before he’ll evolve into Camaradeerie.
Given the nature of Three Houses, it only makes sense that certain key figures take on prominent roles in this pokemon offshoot:
Hanneman is the region’s Pokemon Professor
The eight gym leaders you’ll face include Manuela, Lonato, Rodrigue, Holst, Alois, Gilbert, Catherine, and Shamir
The Elite Four is made up of the Four Saints: Macuil, Indech, Cichol (Seteth), and Cethleann (Flayn)
Rhea is the region’s champion, and has been for ages
The Agarthans are the evil organization you’ll face: Cornelia, Monica/Kronya, and Tomas/Solon are the executives, while Arundel/Thales is the boss
If you pick Embird as your starter, facing the gym challenge is going to be your top priority so that you can have her final evolution (which fits Edelgard’s route in Three Houses perfectly).  Hilda will give you information on the different gyms when you meet her, and Dedue will give you info on rare pokemon you might want to incorporate into your team; however, the evil organization will be much harder (though not impossible) to access and engage with until after the gym challenge is cleared, and they will be much more difficult to deal with after being put off for so long, with run-of-the-mill members having significantly stronger teams and the executives and leader being incredible challenges.
If you pick Parcub as your starter, uprooting the evil organization is going to be first on your list of things to do so you can have his final evolution.  Hubert will give you information on where to find their bases (and notably, Dimitri will face Arundel as the boss rather than Thales, just as he does in Azure Moon), and Hilda will still give you information on the different gyms so you can level your team more and more; however, it will be more challenging to find and access hidden areas until very late in the game, so completing the pokedex will be more of a chore and the legendaries will be significantly more challenging when you finally do face them.
If you pick Fawnceal as your starter, exploring the world and working on the pokedex will be your primary focus to secure his final evolution.  Dedue will tell point you toward all kinds of places off the beaten path where obscure pokemon appear, and Hubert will still point you toward the evil organization since many of their bases are out in the wilds where you’ll be hunting for pokemon; however, leaving the gyms will result in a greater challenge, with different and stronger pokemon on each leader’s team and an even more intense Elite Four and Champion (drawing on both Claude’s paralogue against Macuil and Silver Snow’s endgame boss of the Immaculate One, since it’s mostly a copy-paste of Verdant Wind anyway).

Here, have more of Sparkpulse x Pokemon crossover bc my brain couldt stop throwing more ideas, so I’m gonna copy it from Discord)
About two shiny Ralts that Bumblebee and Windblade got as their starter pokemon.
I was thinking about Bumblebee ans Windblade got their first pokemon.
Both of them in early twenties, they are not sure what exactly they gonna do ( i do imagine they did some work at professors lab?) and definitely never thought that they gonna become one of the strongest trainers in the region.
So they went into wild to get some berries, none one them have a pokemon yet.
The reason is complicated, Bumblebee is really having hard time to choose bc there are so many, and Windblade wishes it be special meeting or something, like not just go and grab random pokemon.
So they just chilling with each other, until Bumblebee gets into bush and anger a random Pidgey that was testing there.
This angry Pidgey attacks Bumblebee and it cases the pair deeper into the forest.
After it left them alone, they realised they got lost. Welp, they really should have to pick up their pokemon.
Though they weren't too upset about this, they began joking about how this Pidgey practice social distancing and personal space better than some ppl.
Suddenly, they hear rustling in the bush near them. They were ready to run in case if it's another Pidgey, but to their suprise it was two Ralts, coming out to them.
Ralts are rarely come put to ppl, ulness they feel that you are good and positive. Not to mention, both pokemon are shiny!
Windblade comments that they just spent all their lifetime luck, which makes Bee laugh.
So Windblade and Bee interacted with Ralts, even played with them. Then they were about to head out, but noticed that both Ralts took liking of them and began to follow. They realised that both pokemon  wanna join them, and they luckily had pokeballs, and they both pokemon joined willingly.
They probably gave both Ralts nicknames but i have no idea for now.
While the pair explored the forest, they noticed more  differences in their pokemon.
Windblades's like to scout ahead, walking above them and finding random thins. He likes to explore the area around.
Bumblebee's Ralts perched on his head, having a look out from anything interesting from higher ground. She took liking in Bee's soft hair and his trademark headband with horns.
-----
Also yeah! About how Ralts hide in presence of hostility. Bee's Ralts just hides in his hair, while Blade's Ralts is hiding behind her leg, carefully peeking from there)
-----
I did it accidentally, but like how pokemon personalities seem to be opposite of their trainers.
Bumblebee easy gets along with ppl and does most of the talking in their travels, his Ralts is very shy, often hides in his hair, though she grows more confident as she evolves.
Windblade is more socially awkward and it can be hard to her to interact with new ppl, meanwhile her Ralts us just, in your face, all the time, no escape!
----
Also, regarding evolution. So after Bee's Kirlua evolves into Gardevoir, they expected Blade's Kirlia evolved soon since they are the same level.
Except he wasn't evolving fir some reason, instead he seems looking something on the ground. Gardevoir asks him, and then sends mental image to Bumblebee's mind of dawn stone. That made them realise that Kirlia want to evolve into Gallade, not Gardevoir. So they when in the short side journey to find the dawn stone for Kirlia.
I think Gardevoir was the one find it, then she gives it to Windblade. Kirlia was jumping around his trainer like GIMNE GIMME GIMME))
About Bumblebee’s Alolan Ninetails.
Bumblebee's Alolan Ninetails, who even as Vulpix, has this strong "Try me, bitch! I Dare You!" attitude, and pretty epitome of "cold anger" bc the stare she might give you can send chill dien your spine.
And that how Bee and Blade learned that yiu can emerge victorious in disadvantage. This Alolan Ninetails can and will throw hands against fire type pokemon and win.
-----
It all start when Bee comes to the town, to catch up with Windblade that arrived earlier ( idk why they got separated, probably were doing something important.) and sees this asshole who was shouting at Vulpux who froze like, half of plaza and angrily snarling at the dude.
Seeing that shit, Bumblebee steps in, defending the Vulpix. The guy explains that his Vulpix has way too short temper for an ice pokemon and she's impossible to be trained.
Bee snaps at him, telling ges just shitty trainer and he did something bad to make her lash out like that.
Guys laughs be like " ha, if you like her so much, sure take her, see if you can handle this", puts Vulpix back into pokemon and throws it at Bee.
He catches it and tell the guy that he'll make him regret his decision.
Later, together with Windblade, Bumblebee lets her out, but she immediately runs away. Seeing that she resents trainers, he figured that perhaps he can approach her with pokemon.
He sends Gardevoir after her (and later Gallade joins). This seem to work and after few hours all 3 return. Vulpix is still giving Bee cold death glare as she still don't trust him, but she return to his pokeball peacefully.
Bee spends more time on trying to bond with her first, he sees she legit has short temper and lash out easily. So he decides to talk to her that went along the like that there is nothing wrong with being angry, but lashing out onto everyone wont do any good, so instead he tells her to try to use this anger to fuel her resolve in battles.
So this actually works, she becomes calmer and start getting along with Bee’s and Blade’s other pokemon, but turns absolutely furious in battles which makes her serious oponent, regardless the type.
Much later, after she evolves into Ninetails, they stumble upon her former trainer.
The guy thinks that Bee abandoned this Vulpix, but suddenly, before Bee even replyes, Ninetails jumps from the pokeball and give the guy same cold death glare which looks even more intimidating in evolved form.
The guy cant believe this, though he still thing that Ninetails will disobey. Bee grins and challenges him in battle.
The guy thinks he can easily win this fight bc his 3 pokemon are fire types, Charizard bring among them...but his team gets crushed bc nothing stand against ice fairy fox, powered by sheer fury!
Bumblebee be like "I told you so, I will make you regret your decision~"

ah, if you're still doin the character thing, how about Lenalee? (I didn't see anybody asking about her, but if sb did, sorry! maybe Johnny then?)
I’m sorry for the delay on replying to this one! This is probably the last ask thingy I’ll be doing for the Character Questions, as they take me some time to type and I’ve been busy 💓 But thank you all very much for the interest in these, I really love writing for stuff like this! I’ll be covering both Lenalee and Johnny in this one - so, a two character reply again! I was hoping someone would give me Lena so the OT4 was complete, but I also really love Johnny... 😭
Lenalee
My otp for them: With Lavi! I had never paid much attention to the two of them as a couple, but after I reread the series last year, they have grown on me. Lavi has been Lenalee’s emotional support many times and it’s clear he cares about her. People would consider that the time he snapped at her for grieving over “losing Allen” was bad, but I quite don’t think he meant harm; rather, I think he kinda acted on impulse because he wanted her to feel better. He marvelously made up for that during the following arcs (”I didn’t come here to stop you; this is your decision to make. Just let me come along.” - 150th Night). Those interactions made me like them a lot as a pairing. My brotp for them: Miranda! She played a big part in Miranda’s life, and I’m sure they got really close thanks to that. Imagining them doing all the girly things together without a care in the world makes me so happy 🥺 It’s like getting to see the happy girl Lenalee could have been, if she weren’t another victim of the war. I also used to ship them because I have no self-control apparently, so. XD Any other ships: Have you all ever considered her and Emilia? 💦 Both share guts and very strong legs, it seems. I can picture them bonding easily over shared interests and it makes me weak. I also love Lenalee and Kanda’s relationship, so they also get the cake here. As for Allen, they make a beautiful pairing, but only when it comes to appearance to me; imo they would need to work many things out, personally speaking, to work in a healthy way for both. Their best friend: Miranda, Jeryy and Kanda! Miranda, for the reasons stated above; Jeryy, because he was her “motherly figure” when she was growing up and needed a feminine, understanding input from someone she could feel comfortable around. And Kanda, due to their relationship as “childhood friends”, in a way. Lenalee loves everyone close to her, but I see these three being the ones she’s the closest to. My favorite nickname for them: “Lena”, given by Kanda. It just sounds so cute and delicate; it suits her. My favorite AU headcanon of them: People often say they would like to see Lenalee abandon the Order and join Allen’s side. I say the opposite; she should stay. She could be a big helping hand on throwing a rebellion of sorts that could benefit him from the inside. That way she wouldn’t need to abandon the people she loves for Allen’s sake, but would still be on his side, on her own way. My favorite outfit they wear: Lenalee has the cutest chinese themed outfits! The ones I love the most are the one she used during the Zombie arc, and this one I saw her wearing on Gray Log. She looks so darn cute, too precious for this world. *gross sobbing* Defining color: When I think of her, I think of several shades of green, namely Fern (#4F7942) and Pine (#01796F). I also think of deep red (#D30000), because of the ribbons she uses on her hair and the shapes of her Crystal Type Innocence. Would I date them: Lenalee is a strong, amazing girl! However, I wouldn’t date her. She can also be headstrong, and so am I hahah At times, I find myself thinking we’re similar in the way we’re insistent (at the risk of being unreasonable) about some things and I quite don’t see that working out at all 😅 First impression: Bland. Nice character, but her design didn’t interest or stand out at all to me. Dark Boots are an awesome Innocence though! Current impression: I really like her. Not one of my favorite characters, and I have a lot of criticism when it comes to Lenalee, but I love her design and the development she got so far. I started taking her more seriously after the fight against Eshi; it was one heck of an awesome fight! The way she put everything on the line on that suicidal move was impressive; so badass. Hogwarts House: As much as I would love to assign her to Gryffindor for her commendable courage, Lenalee’s home is in Hufflepuff! Before anything else, she cares deeply for the people she loves, and will sacrifice herself for them without thinking twice. Loyalty and kindness are her most prominent trait, but that doesn’t make her a pushover in the slightest. Which Pokemon starter they’d be: Torchic! According to the Pokédex entries, Torchic feels warm to the touch and this makes it very huggable. I have this type of impression about her, warm and welcoming. It also develops a fighting type upon evolving, and Blaziken are well known for their strong legs and jumping capacity!
Johnny
My otp for them: With Cache! I’m very weak for couples where the woman looks (and is) stronger than the guy, and we’ve seen her carrying Johnny to the medical wing before - an occurence that, according to her, happens a lot. He seems to have a crush on her, seeing his reaction (fidgety, blushing) when he was saying goodbye to his science friends. According to Vol. 27′s Discussion Room, the scrunchy he’s using to tie his hair used to be hers, and I love how Allen went “hmm, I see...” when he told them she had given it to him hahah (it’s alright, Allen; I ship it too 👌) My brotp for them: Allen, hands down. Differently from what people say, Johnny has always supported and cherished Allen, what he’s doing for him now isn’t out of the blue. It was actually what Johnny told him that started to change his perception on things and realize that his heart longed to be with the ones he loves despite the hardships (”As Johnny Gill and your friend, I’m going to help you!”, - 215th Night). He loves him, and I can tell how important he is for Allen too; he was able to come back from Nea’s inner world thanks to Johnny’s calling that reminded him of his ties with everyone in “Home”. This part has some of my favorite scenes from the entire series; Johnny didn’t even bat an eye, he simply jumped for Allen. I called it Allen would avoid their fall, but Johnny patting his head in happiness and relief and then hugging him, to which Allen returned, as relieved and happy for having come back... It was so sweet and hopeful. It brings good tears to my eyes!  Any other ships: I don’t have any~ Their best friend: I think Johnny is friends with pretty much all of his buddies from the Science Division, but I notice him being closer to Reever. I would like to mention Suman as well; despite him being deceased, Johnny still seems to hold a fond memory of him. And then comes Allen who’s clearly someone important to him, and it doesn’t seem to be one-sided, judging by the time they (used to) spend together having fun. My favorite nickname for them: I don’t have one! But Johnny deserves cute nicknames, let’s give him some, Hoshino-sensei? 👀 My favorite AU headcanon of them: I don’t have one because Johnny is already perfect as a character and for the plot as he already is imho. All I wish is for him to survive until the ending. Hang in there, Johnny! Allen needs you, but for all you’ve been doing, you deserve to make it out alive and earn your own happiness! My favorite outfit they wear: Out of all the characters, I feel like Johnny is the one that has the most “stripped-down” style, quite modern looking. But I love his current outfit the most! He looks great in vests and the long coat definitely reminds me of the lab coats he used to wear while in the Order. I also like a lot more how his hairdo is atm, it looked a little painful to have tied for too long in the previous style (similar to pigtails). His new frame glasses are also pretty! Gives him a more serious look. Defining color: Curiously enough, I think of an array of varied colors when I think of Johnny? I can’t seem to be able to pick one. There is black, yellow like Mustard (#FEDC56), brown like Cherrywood (#CB6F36) and blue like Maya (#73C2FB), to name some. Would I date them: But of course! Johnny is the sweetest guy I’ve ever seen. He gives off all the geek vibes, but not on the annoying way; he looks like the type of person that would talk lots about things that make him happy, excitedly, while you’d look at him go, feeling blessed with all the bright energy vibes emanating from him. He’s also shown to be extremely supportive, and honestly, everyone deserves someone like him 🥺 First impression: Regular geek scientist guy? Current impression: *incoherent sobbing* I love him so much! Why does Johnny not have more appreciation?! Why do people think he’s annoying??? Anyone who loves Allen gotta admit this guy is the MVP. He’s the trope you’d expect for a smartsy science guy, and at the same time, he’s not only that. I’ve babbled enough on that in the reply under this question. Hogwarts House: I’m in a tie between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, but I think I would give him Gryffindor. People would be quick to place him in Ravenclaw for his smarts and his love for learning, but this guy is extremely courageous. Despite being seen as “weak” and fragile, he was the one to stand up for Allen in multiple occasions throughout the series. He’s also the one who confronted the Earl to ask him what he wanted with the 14th (196th Night), while no one had really questioned or directly talked to him. He left the Order to go after Allen, knowing he was awakening as a Noah (which is already dangerous on its own) and would be in constant situations of peril because of Akuma and other Noah. Johnny, the “regular guy”, did all that, having no care as to what could happen to him. So, Gryffindor for his extreme courage, but maybe Hufflepuff for his honest loyalty and goodness. Which Pokemon starter they’d be: Grookey! The way Grookey and its evolutions handle wood makes me think they’re skilled Pokémon that can craft things and know how to use them as instruments, just like Johnny does with his scientific creations. The tied “hair” also reminds me of him!

Baby Lugia
“H- Hello? Red?” Green sounds rather nervous, and there are some very loud noises in the background. “Shhhh, shhhh, it’s okay, it’s okay I’m here- Uh, not- Not you, um- Oh my gosh.”
Is that a baby yelling…?
Green hisses. “Hey, um, I- I know this is kinda sudden but, can you come over to Viridian? I’m at the gym and uh- Whoa!” Something must have happened for him to yelp like that. “Uhhhhh yeah please get over real quick I kinda need some help…!”
In the Viridian Gym, it’s just Green on the phone with Red, and an infant and very upset Lugia.
One quick glance and anyone can tell that something is clearly not right with the young legendary. For one thing, their color scheme is completely reversed. White feathers - scales? - are instead a very dark magenta, and vice versa; and it’s not just the irises of the eyes that are a bright vivid red, but the sclera too. And just what the hell is that black energy surrounding it?
Green curses as he narrowly dodges what looks like a purplish-black tornado, which puts a huge crater in the concrete wall. Yikes…! He can’t let his gym trainers down here because without actually understanding what might be happening, they might try to catch the Lugia, which could just as well make things worse; plus they’re not even equipped much less qualified to deal with situations like this.
He also can’t let his own Pokemon out because most of them are fully evolved and fairly intimidating appearance-wise. That might make Lugia feel threatened and aggravate them further to lash out even more.
And if Green is being honest with himself, he’s a little bit scared to try and approach them. “Red?” He lowers his voice just a bit. “Um… I’m gonna hang up, okay? Try to get here asap, and bring Gramps if you can.” He ends the call and pockets his phone.
Very slowly, he crouches down to a knee. He remembers Daisy saying something about making yourself look smaller to look as unthreatening as possible.
“Hey.” He carefully reaches out a hand. If you can’t approach them, don’t. Let them come to you instead. “It’s okay. I’m not gonna hurt you.”
Red if you don’t get your ass over here I swear to Arceus…!
Red was surprised to hear Green on the other line. He adjusts the baby Pokemon in his arms so he could hold the phone better so he could hear. From the sound of it Green was not having a good time. What was that screaming loudly in the background? It was almost hard to hear what his rival was saying.
Tumblr media
“H-Huh? W-What’s goin’ on, Green?” Between the loud bangs and booms and the loud crying Red could hardly hear a thing! Though he did think he heard Green saying something about his gym in Viridian and getting Professor Oak there as soon as possible.
“Okay, I’ll be there as soon as I can.” Red places the phone back in his pocket before contemplating how he was even going to get there. Would baby Arariel cry if he made her fly on Charizard with him? Well there was not a lot of time to think it over. Red cradled Arariel in his arms before summoning his Charizard to his side. The fire type glances confused by what looks to be a baby in Red’s arms. With a sniff he was able to tell this wasn’t a human baby but he was still going to fly easily so he doesn’t hurt her.
Red pets the fire type’s head and got onto his back while securing  Arariel. With one word the trio flew to Pallet Town, landing safely in front of the Professor’s lab. Thanking Charizard with a pat on the head, Red rushed into the Pallet Town Pokemon lab.
“Professor? You here?”

"Kissing burns calories you know" for starker. It sounds so much like Peter. Useless fact and awkward flirting combined haha
do the thing - send in all the prompts.
Nonnie, this was perfect. I got to add a little possessive Pete in there, so thank you for the prompt!
The very first time Peter grabbed him by the cheeks and pressed their lips together, Tony wasn’t anywhere close to being ready. He thought about what it might be like constantly – while Peter had always been a beautiful person, growth and adulthood really suited him. His protegee now had facial hair and kept his hair long around his ears – he wore a watch that didn’t have a Pokemon on it, even.
After Peter finished at MIT, Tony swept him up as quickly as he could manage. Pepper rolled her eyes at him, the contract for him already worked up before Tony could even ask. “I’m surprised it took you this long to bring him over. At least he’s legal now,” she remarked, her eyes rolling even harder when his cheeks flared with a warm blush.
“Virginia Potts, you minx!” Tony exclaimed, a smirk on his lips. Swooping up the contract from the table, he tucked it under his arm and pressed a soft kiss to her forehead. “You always take such good care of me. Thanks, Pep.” Though they didn’t end up working as a couple, Tony loved her – always had and always would.
One of the biggest reasons they didn’t end up working out as a couple (other than her demands for him to no longer be Iron Man) was the younger man – no matter how much he tried to hide it, he cared about Peter in a way that even he couldn’t begin to comprehend. Pepper was too smart of a person not to realize that. And despite the hurt of their break initially, Tony knew they were both much better off.
It didn’t take much convincing to get Peter back into the lab. In the four years he separated from the Avenger’s and got his own feet under Peter grew and evolved, the time away doing him a world of good. The kid didn’t lack intelligence, Tony never ever thought that. No, he lacked finesse and the ability to think through the entire rubix cube, instead of just one side. The person who sat down next to him in the lab these days was so similar but so much different than the Peter Parker he used to know.
Upon further thought, Tony figured that was a good thing. He never let himself see past the fact that Peter was, in fact, a young kid. A young kid that had marvelous powers, sure – there wasn’t any denying that. Every time Peter found a way to get onto the battlefield beside the rest of them, Tony always worried that he’d end up taking away not just his innocence, but his life, too. It took keeping his head on straight to make sure Peter walked home at the end of the day to live the rest of his life.
When Peter asked for a letter of recommendation so he could get into MIT right after they found a way to finish Thanos off, Tony was more than willing to give it. He smiled softly as Peter told him about his plans – Cambridge gained an excellent citizen the second the younger man decided to grace the halls of his alma mater. They exchanged a quick hug before Peter took off for school and that was that.
It took a whole year for him to hear from the kid. Peter’s smiling face was sitting in his chair one sunny May afternoon, his feet swung up on the table, Tony Stark style – like he owned the damn place. And maybe he did – all Peter really needed to do was ask.
They spent summers that way for the entire duration of Peter’s stay at MIT. It gave Tony a chance to check up on patrols and make adjustments to the other’s suit. He learned about all the new techniques being taught in the classes he took more than two decades ago – and he listened to Peter talk about himself. Those bits of information were always his favorite. Peter’s likes and interests were so similar to his own and the quirky things that set them apart were endearing - the boy so very interesting.
Getting to have Peter around full time was way better than Tony imagined. There wasn’t a lot of Avenger’s business to take care of, so they focused on their individual suits, instead. Peter was always improving the formula for his web fluid, the man’s brain absolutely brilliant when it came to chemistry.
Tony watched him with awe as he scrolled the dry erase marker across the clear writing board they kept pushed back against the lab wall. After watching the other stick himself to the desk surface more than a handful of times, Tony forced him to work it out so they both could see – the science always a little better with more than one set of eyes looking it over.
The day Peter decided to literally take the situations into his own hands, Tony stood leaning against his desk, eyes eagerly taking the younger man in while he did his thing. There was nothing like watching a unique brain work, and man was Peter’s unique. He worked with a steady crease between his brows, the pinch of them something Tony so badly wanted to rub at with his thumb and relax with the lightest of touches.
Being so very preoccupied, Tony didn’t notice when Peter stopped scribbling on the board – the normal scratch of the pen not something the man cared to pay attention to. Peter’s voice calling his name made him look up, an embarrassed look on his face. “Sorry, what?” Tony asked, the question falling from his lips before Peter could bore his eyes into him any deeper. He was too smart for his own god – Peter would easily sniff him out if Tony let him.
“You were staring at me. I probably could have run my hand in front of your face and you never would have known. You have this look on your face,” Peter replied, the words coming from his mouth without hesitation. There wasn’t much space between them, Peter somehow closing the distance and bringing them within arms reach. “I’ve seen that look before,” his voice rumbled, the tone of it coming off way more sultry than Tony figured Peter meant it to.
Then, hands were cupping his cheeks, Peter’s warm palms on the skin there. Tony had just enough time to take in the fact that large fingers we trying to tangle in his hair before he was otherwise occupied, Peter’s lips pressing against his own exquisitely. A small moan slipped from his lips, the sound leaving his mouth giving Peter just enough room to trace the seam of his lips and press inside. Useless hands gripped onto the younger man’s waist, clingy fingers collecting the fabric of Peter’s shirt in a desperate attempt to hold on.
That initial touch created a monster within them both. Whenever Peter was in reach, he pulled Tony close and sealed their lips together – the exuberance of youth not leaving him, despite all of the growing up he’d done over the years. The younger man was so distracting that Tony had to implement a no kissing in the lab rule – it was hard to get work done when Peter wanted to straddle his thighs and devour him whenever they were alone and the opportunity arose.
Tangled up together a few months into the craziness between them, Tony groaned when his alarm went off. They spent most of the previous night making love, the younger man pliant under him, Tony’s limbs still feeling a bit like jelly after so much intimacy.
Peter brought something out in him, an animalistic need, the type of hunger that never seemed to be satisfied, no matter how often he partook. It felt glutenous, being able to indulge in it as much as he did – but then again, Peter was always looking for it, there seeking whatever Tony wanted to give to him.
Adjusting a bit, Tony looked up to the ceiling – “FRIDAY, can you turn the alarm off?” He sighed in relief when the loud beeping noise ceased, his ears no longer ringing. His arms tightened subconsciously around Peter before he tried to get up, the natural instinct of his body to keep him close something he still marveled at.
The switch from barely there mentor to boyfriend and lover was seamless – the idea of finally getting to have him pushing Tony to be the best that he could. The entirety of his being must have been on board, because even his subconscious worked to keep him grounded and always keep Peter in mind.
He loosened his grip on Peter and attempted to move away from him, his intention to get up out of bed and get a little bit of training in. Peter’s grip on him stopped him however – up until that point, Tony figured he was still asleep. Strong hands kept his own against the naked skin of Peter’s chest – a soft groan leaving Peter’s lips. “Where do you think you’re going?” the younger man mumbled, his voice deeper than usual, the scratch of sleep sending a wave of heat across Tony’s skin.
A grin played at his lips, the somewhat petulant tone of Peter’s voice making his heart beat a little faster. “I thought I’d get up and get a workout in. I’ve been lazy the past couple of days,” Tony answered simply, the little extra wiggle on his gut he noticed last night nowhere near acceptable. Not when the most gorgeous human on the planet laid in his arms. Leaning down, Tony pressed a kiss to Peter’s head and tried to get up again.
Superhuman strength was difficult to fight against, Tony realizing that the second his back was against the mattress with Peter above him - their positions completely switched. It wasn’t often that Tony got a reminder of just how strong his other half actually was. The fact that he didn’t even see the move coming had him sitting still, his legs widening a bit to allow Peter to sit between them a little more comfortably. “I don’t think so, Tony,” Peter countered, his chest pressing Tony down a little bit more.
His hands found Pete’s waist, fingers playing with the bare skin there. “I need to get a workout in, baby,” Tony said, the movement of his hand contrasting the words coming out of his mouth. Knowing he couldn’t get up from his pin downed position without Peter letting him, Tony wasn’t trying all that hard to fight whatever this was. That seemed a little silly with such a delectably naked man above him.
Peter leered down at him, the look on his face one Tony recognized from the many, many times he’d been pounced on by the younger man over the past few months. Soft lips hovered right above his own, the ghost of Peter’s breath making him want to surge up and take – but he refrained, the subtle shift of weight against his chest telling him that Peter wasn’t going to relinquish his hold – or the little bit of control he had over the situation, either.
“Kissing burns calories you know,” Peter whispered, Tony feeling the shape of every word against his lips, the space between them still less than an inch – the tease of it driving the heat of the situation up a little further. “You could get your workout in right here – and not have to move a muscle.”
Smart enough to know when he’d been bested, Tony tightened his hold around Peter’s hips, the younger man pressing him down even more. “Sounds good, let’s start now,” Tony muttered the words before finally closing the distance, their lips meeting in a sordid kiss.

tmi tuesday: What are your Serena's thoughts on Trevor and Tierno, and how have they influenced/impacted your Serena's journey, if at all? (I guess we can include Shauna in the "side-character friends" mix too if you want, but I personally feel like Shauna gets way more recognition in the Pokemon community compared to T&T, so I'm interested to hear your thoughts on that pair especially!).
tmi tuesday! | accepting
serena views trevor and tierno as good friends, and she tries to keep in contact with them to this very day! same for shauna!
trevor was the one that pushed her to get more and more entries in her pokedex, always wanting to compare how many entries he had versus her. it was a friendly rivalry, with each of them pushing each other to succeed. she’s seen him around sycamore’s lab several times, as he also helps them with the studies on mega evolution. while serena is good at bonding with the pokemon they mega evolve, trevor is extremely observant and can quickly and immediately note the changes said pokemon undergoes during mega evolution, both physically and in how they act.
with tierno, he played a huge emotional support role for her. there were times where she felt hopeless in her journey, or that she was having regrets about something, and he’d offer a shoulder to cry on and lend an ear for her troubles. he also taught her to relax and be less tense in battles. when she had her first battle, she was extremely rigid and had her teeth clenched, despite knowing what to do. it was just.... intimidating to her, and tierno noticed this. he’s taught her some dance moves, actually, and taught her pokemon some as well to help her ease up and relax. sometimes in tense battles, she’ll be hopping from foot to foot, or bobbing slightly in place to keep herself relaxed.
as for shauna, she was there in many key points of serena’s journey, and if it wasn’t for her she would have had panic attacks galore, like in the flare hq. when lysandre went off the deep end and was yelling about how he was going to bring the labs down on them and bury them, it was shauna who got serena up and moving. shauna was a HUGE part of serena’s journey with emotional support, and giving her the drive to keep going. her positive and upbeat personality was a bit infectious, so even when serena felt down or insecure, having shauna around would bring a smile to her face.

I occasionally bring my Pokémon to nature centers to get kids used to the less common or ‘scary’ Pokémon, but lots of the places I do that at require the trainer to have another Pokémon that can paralyze or grab Pokémon or kids if something happens. My meganium, who usually does this, is just too big for some places (she’s pretty old on top of being naturally big), so we’ve talked about getting a bulbasaur. But meganium tends to be prickly about who she’s around, so would it be better to find a wild bulbasaur or one from a breeder that she vibes with, or hatch one from an egg?
In this situation I’d strongly advise you go to a rehab and rehome centre! Your Meganium being supposedly old and a little fussy about who she’s with, and we statistically see older Pokemon matched up with other slightly older species, rather than head strong youngsters with boundless energy. A breeder will offer you a youngster, boundless energy, lots of lessons to learn, plenty of boundaries to overstep, and this is the same for egg hatching. In the wild, you may have a good chance, but there not the most common species to find, and you could be searching for a long while for the right match.
These wonderful establishments that rehome Pokemon are widely available, and usually you can phone ahead to see if they have something that may fit your needs and lifestyle. The benefit to this method is that the staff actively encourage play dates with your team Pokemon, and the potential adoption matches. You can go in with your buddies and find a Pokemon who fits you just right, who has the right temperament and personality to vibe with your Meganium. Not only this, the Pokemon offered at these establishments can be wiser, more patient, and sometimes quite understanding of the world in comparison to a fresh eyed youngsters available from breeders and eggs. They come with history yes, and sometimes even issues that need to be worked on, but a lot of the species in these homes are just looking for a new family, and have very little wrong with them. Bulbasaur are often given away if they refuse to evolve, which is more common than you’d think with the species, so you’d probably find there’s one or two close by somewhere. After a few socialising visits you may find a good match, and for a nominal fee (to help the facility continue their rehab work) you can take home your buddy should you prove you’re able to provide a good home for them. As you have a Meganium, you should have no issue with this.
I suppose your next best bet would be the wild, but if your uncertain about their temperament, and in an area that they aren’t common, this can be very long winded.
Adopting is a rather loving thing to do too, these locations that offer abandoned and rehabilitated Pokemon up to trainers are often overlooked, as folks get attached to the idea of a baby, a youngster, something to fuss over as they grow. There’s a joy to an established Pokemon who knows what they’re doing, and a lot of character to them too!
Should you not find one locally, and are in the area, come to the lab, we’re just south-east of Olivine city in johto, can catch a boat, we have a lot of bulbasaur, some ready to be rehomed, and a lot of them full of charm.

Pokémon Solar Light & Lunar Dark Review
Tumblr media
Intro:
The game starts in Soltree Town in the players room. The player is sitting in front of his/her TV and is watching a battle between two Pokémon trainers. Your mother comes in and tells you that your best friend, Rodney, is waiting for you downstairs to get your first Pokemon from Prof. Pinewood. You walk to the lab with Rodney and the Professor lets you choose one of three Pokemon. After choosing your starter, Rodney runs out of the lab. The Professor tells you about a young girl named Keira, who is getting the last Pokémon, but it seems that she has forgotten it. After finding Keira in Mossy Town her mother tells you to go back to your house, because your mother has a gift for you. Back in Soltree Town you receive the PokéCom and the Running Shoes from your parents.
From then on, the player will set off on adventures through the Rikoto region. Along the way, the player, Rodney, and Keira will battle eight Gym Leaders, while trying to complete the Pokédex. After managing to obtain all eight Badges, the player will head to the Pokémon League to battle the Elite Four and the Champion.
How to Play:
Download and extract this file to the folder of your choice. If you don’t have a program to unzip files, I recommend Peazip, which is safe and works well. Once extracted, double “Game.exe” to play.
Story:
Tumblr media
The story progresses like a main series game’s plot. It’s notably most similar to RSE/ORAS, because there are two evil teams present: Team Solar and Team Lunar. They’re racing to find specific stones to revive and control their respective legendary of interest. Unfortunately, the climax of their role in the story is pretty disappointing to me, but I won’t say any further so not to spoil you. Aside from the villains, you have your usual tree-based professor, a few rivals, and your eight gym leaders. There’s also a mega evolution specialist, who battles in her castle, and is portrayed as unofficial gym leader. I especially liked this detail.
The characters are just okay, and dialogue can be a little jumbled at time. I like that you have three rivals rather than one, but they’re not very well fleshed out. Each has a gimmick, but not much personality past that. The gym leaders were also okay, but not overly memorable. The only honorable mention is Jax of the Elite Four, who I believe should have been the champion of the game.
There are some adult themes present in the story, but I don’t mean this in an explicit sort of way. Rather, the game addresses adult issues you’d find in the real world. For example, to use the taxi service in Rustbolt City, you need to battle their boss to convince him to pay his workers more, as they’re on strike at the time. You are also asked to steal for a robber at one point during a quest, which is pretty neat.
Overall, the plot and characters weren’t too impressive, but they weren’t terrible, either. There was a good foundation for both that was lost along the way, it seems. However, the story and characters are still serviceable and fulfill their overarching role.
Score: 7/10
Pokemon:
Tumblr media
In this game, there are Fakemon instead of Pokemon, and this can be seen as either good or a bad. While the sprite work for the Fakemon grew on me, some are heavily based on already existing Pokemon. Also, some Pokemon don’t have the highest design quality. Lastly, many of the better Fakemon don’t evolve until they’re pretty high leveled, anywhere from the high 30s to the low 50s, kind of like in Gen 5. This can be seen either as a good or a bad thing, I suppose.
Luckily, there’s a lot of good things about the Fakemon too. First is the sheer amount of them: there are 358 Fakemon to choose from, which is more original Pokemon than have ever been put into a new game at once. This gives you a huge selection to choose from, so no two people will ever have the same team. The downside of this is it’s hard to keep track of them all. However, there are some great ones to choose from, whose movepools and abilities have been handpicked with care.
The original moves made for this game are also a nice touch. One that stood out to me is Thunder Strike, which is a nice middling electric move that’s more powerful than Thunder Shock, but less powerful than Thunderbolt.
I also absolutely love that your first party Pokemon walks with you. This is a feature that really should be brought back in main series games, and the fact that they took the time to draw all 358 original Fakemon (and each shiny form!) as walking companions is very impressive.
Score: 8/10
Gameplay:
Tumblr media
In terms of difficulty, this game is very middling. It’s not too easy or hard. If you battle all the trainers and a good portion of wild Pokemon during your journey, gym leaders won’t be overly difficult. However, grinding in this game can be difficult without the presence of the speed button, so keep this in mind when you use a repel or skipping trainer battles.
One of my favorite attributes in a fan game is a lack of HMs, and I was pleasantly surprised that this game replaced HMs with key items. This opens up a fifth slot in your party; no HM slaves needed!
The gameplay in SLLD (Solar Light & Lunar Dark) is brought to life through its attention to detail in many areas. I’d say you can spend up to two hours in almost every town and its surrounding area, just doing quests, finding hidden items, and talking to NPCs without getting bored. There are so many places to explore, each with a completely different set of Pokemon.
My biggest grip in this area is the length of space between towns. The worst example of this is the journey between Waytide City and Coralite Town. In the space between them, there is Route 9, then Goopool Swamp, then Route 10A, then Rainbow Reef, then Route 10B, then finally Coralite Town. There is one single player to heal your Pokemon in this entire stretch, and if you don’t bring a ton of healing items and repels, there’s no way you’ll make it the whole way continuously. There’s also a ton of trainers on every route, too many in my opinion, and if you don’t battle them all, you’re destined to be underleveled for gym battles.
Score: 8.5/10
Art/Music:
Tumblr media
The overworld art is well done, mostly in Gen 5 style. I haven’t seen art like this in another fan game yet, so props for that.
Original music can be found in about 80% of the game, and is generally well-composed. I rarely found myself listening to other music while playing the game. It’s very electronic, and comparable to Gen 5, but I actually like this soundtrack better than the Unova one. This brought me to wonder: why is such a common track, the wild battle music, from Sinnoh when almost all other music is original? This also goes for the Pokemon Center and a few other themes. My best guess is that composing those tracks would have taken a lot of time.
In terms of character art, most of it is solid. However, the female player character is obviously heavily inspired by Lyra from HGSS. The sprite isn’t bad per say, but it is very obvious. On the other hand, the male player character looks very original.
There are a few visual/sound errors that I would fix. First, the selection highlight isn’t apparent enough. This may seem minor, but this can be the difference between winning a battle or losing if you accidentally switch in the wrong Pokemon. Additionally, both the sound for stat rising and falling is the same- it always sounds like your stat is going up. There are also a couple of Pokemon missing their cries when sent into battle.
Score: 8.5/10
Misc:
The fan content for this game is pretty great. There’s a very active discord channel, and a pretty up-to-date, accurate wiki.
Overall:
One stand-out quality of this game is the sheer amount of content it contains. Before I mentioned the amount of Pokemon created, and this goes for the size of the map as well. There are more towns and areas of interest in this game than any individual region, and as a result you can get in a huge amount of playtime. I ended my run-through with almost 30 hours. However, the downside to inserting a massive amount of content into anything can make the issue of quality control. While the quality of most things in this game is above average, some things did suffer a bit. For example, there are so many routes and areas, it probably was impossible to compose music for all of them. As a result, the Surf and Bike theme are both the cheesy Pokemon Essentials themes.
On the topic of glitches: unfortunately, there are a handful of them. Most aren’t game breaking, but the one that stood out to me is the fishing contest one. When you are warped to the fishing contest, you’re trapped inside the building’s roof instead of in front of the building. As a result, you have to open your menu and quit the contest, automatically putting you in last place. Another is in the Subhail Icecaps towards the end of the game. The game can barely handle surfing in this area, and constantly stalls, almost crashing whenever you surf.
Overall, I would recommend this game to almost any Pokemon lover. I’d especially recommend this one for Unova lovers, as this game is a fresh new adventure quite reminiscent of that region. If you’re looking for a traditional Pokemon game with Fakemon in it, this game should be a winner for you.
Final Score: 8.5/10

A Visit - Marisson Family (One-Shot)
“And then at recess we were play trainers and I got to be the gym leader and I was a fire gym leader with a Fennekin and a Charizard and a Flareon and they were super strong and they could all mega evolve!”
“Really? And what does mega Fennekin look like?” Alain asked, an assumed smile flickering over his face.
His eyes glanced up at the rearview mirror, watching as the dark haired girl in the backseat pressed her lips together in thought. “Mega Fennekin... is really big! Big enough to ride on! And she has wings and can fly just like a Charizard!”
“Mega Fennekin sounds like she’d be really strong in battle,” Alain said. “Was anyone strong enough to beat the gym leader?”
“Nope!” Faith said proudly, puffing up her chest. “I won all the battles in our game! Gym leaders are the strongest, that’s why. But Michael says he wants to be the gym leader next time so that means he gets to win the battles...”
Faith rambled on, happily telling her father about her day at school in great detail, a huge grin spread across her face the entire time. Alain smiled as he listened, though a tiredness hung about him as he drove through the crowded streets of Lumiose. His work schedule was anything but constant, trying to balance between Faith’s time in school, sleep, and still being able to spend time at home with her. Of course Professor Sycamore was nothing but liberal with the hours Alain worked, allowing him to change his schedule from week to week and even day to day.
Moving to Lumiose had most certainly helped, while he missed the more peaceful environment that had been back in Coumarine City, living in the same town as his work was just simply much easier. And an apartment was easier to manage than a house and a yard... and in the end a fresh start had been what he needed.
“And then our teacher had us write a letter to someone special in our lives,” Faith said, digging through her backpack. “She says that my handwriting is looking so pretty and that my spelling is super-duper good!”
“And who did you write your letter to?”
“Mom,” Faith said happily, oblivious to the way her father tensed up slightly, pulling out an envelope out of her backpack. “See? It’s right here! And I really really want to give it to her, so I was wondering if we could go visit her today?”
Alain didn’t say anything for a moment, stormy blue eyes locked straight ahead as he drove. He barely seemed to hear his daughter’s words. Faith watched him for a moment, tilting her head in confusion.
“Daddy?”
“Uh– yeah,” Alain said, blinking slightly as he was pulled from his thoughts, voice quiet. “I guess we could... but we need to go home first, okay? Get all cleaned up from school, eat, and then we can go visit Mom.”
“Yippee!” Faith said excitedly, throwing her hands up into the air. “Can we bring them a gift too? Ooo! Flowers! Let’s do flowers!”
“Of course, sweetie,” Alain said quietly.
“Kadey! We’re going to go visit Mommy today!” Faith declared loudly the moment Alain unlocked the apartment door, the young girl bursting in excitedly. Her eyes immediately locked on the couch in their front room, pouncing onto the Flareon that was fast asleep. Dark eyes widened as he was scooped up into the young girl's arms.
“F-flare?” The fire type let out a cough of smoke, being turned around in Faith’s arms so she could look him in the eyes. The Pokemon’s demeanor completely changed as he took in her words, tail thumping happily. “Eon!”
Most of Alain’s Pokemon lived at Sycamore’s lab now days, a majority of them being much too large to comfortably to live in the tiny apartment. Kade and Lucas happily spent their time indoors, sometimes joining him on his trip to the lab, while Weavile’s Pokeball he kept on himself when traveling about. Sometimes Charizard joined him as well, though she seemed to prefer to stick with her mate and son at the lab.
Lucas let out a happy yip, the Electrike running into the room upon hearing Faith’s voice. He was a hyper little Pokemon, and absolutely adored the young girl. Even though she had quite a few years until her journey, Alain had a feeling that the electric type would be joining Faith once she became a trainer. And with her interest in mega evolution, he’d be a good pick as well.
“You can come too, Lucas!” Faith said happily, sitting on the ground so the canine could crawl into her lap, while Kade laid across her shoulders. He was much too big to comfortably sit on one, so he kept himself balanced across two.
Alain’s picked up Faith’s backpack, which she had left on the floor like usual, hanging it up on the coat rack near the door. He stiffened a yawn, having worked a late shift the night before, stumbling towards the kitchen. He found a half empty pot of coffee from this morning sitting out on the counter. He didn’t even blink, grabbing a cup from the stack of dishes in the sink, pouring himself a mug of the cold brew. He shuddered at the taste, but honestly didn’t care, just trying to wake himself up.
“Can we go now, Dad? Can we, can we?” A voice chirped from behind him, and he let out a sigh.
“Why don’t you get yourself an afternoon snack, then we can go,” Alain replied. “Dad’s really tired right now, so just give me a minute.”
“Did you work last night again?” Faith asked, and Alain couldn’t help but notice that all eagerness from her voice was gone– a much more serious tone taking its place. He turned to look back at her, those amber eyes watching him in concern. She was only six, she shouldn’t have to worry about such things...
“Yeah, I did,” Alain said quietly, taking another sip of the cold coffee. “Don’t worry, I’ll be more awake in like twenty minutes, just need the coffee to kick in.”
Faith crinkled her nose. “I don’t like the smell of coffee.”
“...Mairin was the same way.”
Faith tilted her head to the side. “Well, you better make sure you don’t smell like coffee when we go to visit her then,” She turned to leave the kitchen, Kade still in her arms when she paused. “Why do you have to work at night, Daddy?”
“So I can be with you after school instead of working,” Alain replied.
“Why can’t you work after school– and I can come to the lab with you,” She nodded to herself as she said this. “Yeah– I can play with all of the Pokemon and the Fennekins, and then that way you can sleep at night. You know you’re not a Noibat, right Daddy?”
“Why not? I think I’d make a pretty good dragon.”
Faith let out a giggle. “No you wouldn’t– Charizard and Kaj are the dragons!”
“Trike!” A voice barked from the other room– Lucas demanding his playmates to return. Faith giggled, and ran back into the mainroom with Kade, leaving Alain alone in the kitchen. He let out a long sigh, staring down at his mug.
He couldn’t just drag Faith to the lab every afternoon, she should be living a normal childhood and not waiting for him to finish work. He was fine right now anyways, the coffee was already making him more alert. It was no substitute for sleep, but did that really matter?
He took another long drink, draining the mug.
---------------------------
“Faith, stay by me!” Alain called as his daughter bolted down the sidewalk– not wanting to lose her in the large crowds that filled Lumiose City.
“Okay Dad!” She chirped, pausing by a street light to wait for him. Kade and Lucas were at her heels like usual, all three of them waiting for him to catch up. Faith was bouncing up and down excitedly, her letter clutched in her arms.
“Here, hold my hand,” Alain said as he approached her, and instantly she reached up and grabbed his hand. “Remember Lumiose is really big, and I don’t want you to get lost.”
“We’re not lost, I know exactly where we are!” Faith said proudly, pointing down the street. “The flower shop is over there, remember you said we could buy flowers for them, remember?”
“I remember,” Alain said as they continued forward. “What kind of flowers do you want to buy this time?”
“Hmm... A rose for Mommy and a lily for Vaya!” The girl grinned up at Alain. “Do you think they’ll like those flowers?”
“They’ll love them,” Alain replied, giving her a tight smile.
Faith tugged him forward, clearly wanting to move faster. She let out a giggle as they continued down the street, the floristry they often visited soon coming into view. Before Alain could say a word Faith slipped her hand out of his, rushing into the small shop. A bell rang as Alain slipped in after her, holding the door open so the two Pokemon could enter as well.
She was already at the counter, beaming at the purple-haired woman behind it. “Hi Ms. Cooper! Me and Dad are here to buy some more flowers! We want a yellow rose and a... purple lily!”
“Hello Faith, hello Monsieur Vide,” The woman said, smiling warmly at the young girl, and giving a nod to Alain. “It’s always nice to see you two again, what brings you here today?”
“We’re taking a letter to Mom!” Faith said, holding up the envelope in her hand. “I wrote it today in school and I want to give it to her right away! We get to see Vaya too.”
“How nice,” Ms. Cooper said with a kind smile, searching for the flowers Faith had requested. She carefully laid the rose and the lily on the counter, and Alain’s hand went in search of his wallet. His eyes widened as his hands found an empty pocket though, and he closed his eyes.
“...It appears I’ve forgotten my wallet...” He said quietly, holding back a sigh. “I’m sorry Faith, but it doesn’t look like we’ll be able to do flowers today.”
“But Dad–” Faith began.
“Oh, don’t worry about that today, Monsieur Vide,” Ms. Cooper said, picking up the two flowers and placing them into Faith’s hand. “They’re on me today.”
The little girl brightened up. “Thank you so much Ms. Cooper!”
Alain gave her a grateful smile. “I’ll be sure to pay you for them next time.”
She waved her hand. “Don’t worry about it, like I said they’re on me. Enjoy your visit with your daughter, sir.”
Alain nodded, placing a hand on Faith’s shoulder, and guiding her to the door. One hand held the two flowers, and the other held the envelope. She smiled up at her father, who gave her a small one in return, and soon they were back out on the crowded streets of Lumiose. With no longer a hand to hold Alain was careful to keep his daughter close, but with Faith that wasn’t always possible.
“We’re almost there, Daddy!” She said excitedly, bolting ahead as her eyes spotted their destination up ahead. Alain reached out to try and grab her, but she was already winding her way through the crowd, and orange and green blur at her side.
Fortunately an older woman noticed the fleeing girl and Pokemon, placing a hand out to slow her down as Alain run after them. “Slow down there, dear.”
“Excuse us!” Faith said, trying to dart around her. “We’re in a hurry!”
“Faith, you can’t run off like that!” Alain cried as he caught up to her, flashing a grateful smile at the woman. “Thank you, ma’am.”
“Remember little one, when you run off like that you’re making your father worry,” The older lady said to Faith. “Those are some pretty flowers you got there. Where are you in a rush to?”
“We’re going to visit my Mom and my sister!” Faith said happily.
The woman smiled. “How fun. Do you like to play with your sister?”
“I dunno, I’ve never played with her before,” Faith said, and she looked up at Alain. “Can we go now, Daddy? We’re almost there!”
“Yes, let’s go,” Alain said, careful to keep his hand on her shoulder as they continued on.
Alain always had a hard time coming here, making his way down the long road and looking across the fields. Honestly, it hurt to be here, to be reminded of times that had become so painful– but yet ones he never wanted to forget.
“I found them, Daddy! I found them!” Faith cried, up ahead on the path.
Alain nodded, slowly following after her. The young girl happily sat down on the grass, Kade and Lucas at her side. As he reached her he did the same, sitting down as he looked out at what sat in front of him. It was strange how something could fill him with such sorrow, but yet at the same time a warmth.
The grave sat in front of them, the white stone gleaming in the sunlight.
They always seemed to come here on days like these, with the sun shining overhead and not a single cloud in the sky. The warmth embracing them when it felt that clouds should have covered the skies. Alain’s eyes flickered to Faith, who had a small smile on her face, though the young girl’s eyes seemed distant. His gaze returned to the gravestone taking in the names written on it.
Mairin Floraison Vide Loving Wife, Loving Mother
Vaya Mairin Vide Who Was Taken Too Soon
The years on the headstones were carved beneath the names, the years leaving Mairin as only twenty-five when she had been taken, and little Vaya hadn’t even been with them one day. The death dates for both of them were the same, those horrible numbers representing the day his entire life had been torn apart.
“Hi Mom,” Faith said quietly, kneeling in front of the headstone. “Hi Vaya, me and Daddy came to visit you guys today. I hope you guys are doing well, Dad says that heaven’s supposed to be a very happy place so I hope everything is happy there today.”
Kade slowly approached the stone, a slight whine filling the air. He pawed at the grave, before rubbing himself up against it, as if trying to reassure who laid below. Lucas lingered back, head resting on his paws, letting out a small whine of his own.
“We brought you guys some more flowers,” Faith continued, looking at the two blossoms in her hand. She glanced at Alain, before holding them out to him. “Here Daddy, you can give Mom the rose and I’ll give Vaya her lily.”
Alain carefully took the rose from his daughter, looking down at the soft petals. He closed his eyes for a moment, taking in a small breath, before carefully setting the flower right below Mairin’s name. Dried stems and crumpled petals lingers around the headstone, the remains of the flowers they had brought here before. Faith inched closer to the grave, kissing the lily in her hand, and placing it near Vaya’s name.
“I also have a letter for you, Mom,” Faith said, holding up the envelope she had been so excited about. “And don’t worry, Vaya can read it too,” She frowned for a moment. “But Vaya is just a baby, so she can’t read, can she? Don’t worry– I’ll read it outloud so that way both of you can hear it!”
With that Faith ripped open the letter, pulling out the single paper inside. Words written with a bright blue marker proudly stood on the page in Faith’s handwriting, hearts and small doodles scrawled between the lines. She held out the paper, clearing her throat as she always did before reading something, and began:
“Dear Mom, today we get to write letters to someone very special in our lives, and the first person I thought of was you,” Faith said. “You are very special because you are the very best mom on earth, and even if you aren’t on earth anymore you are still the very best. It’s been a long time since you’ve had to leave, but I still remember when you’d take me out into the garden, and when you’d sing me songs, and when you’d sneak me candy even when Dad said no more treats for tonight.”
She glanced at Alain, clearly him not having supposed to hear this, but he just smiled and waved for her to continue.
“Daddy still doesn’t let me have treats at night, which is something I miss, but me and Daddy go out for ice cream every Friday. I get chocolate with Pecha berries, and Dad says that those were your favorite too and so that makes us twins. Chocolate is the very best and I am going to have a chocolate cake for my seventh birthday. I hope you’re able to have chocolate and birthday parties in heaven, but I’m sure you do because heaven is supposed to be a happy place and chocolate and birthdays are very happy things.”
Alain noticed as he looked over her shoulder that she had spelled heaven as ‘haven’, and chocolate as ‘chacolat’.
“I am going to now draw you a picture of Kadey and Kindle battling so you can see how strong they are. I hope you like it really-a lot! Love Faith,” She then turned the paper around so it was facing the gravestone. “And see? Here are the drawings, this one is Kindle as a mega Fennekin, and here’s Kade.”
The Flareon perked up a bit at the mention of his name, sniffing the paper.
“Can we send the letter to them now, Dad?” Faith asked, and Alain nodded, holding out his hand. She carefully slide the letter back into the envelope, handing it to him, and Kade trotted in front of Alain. He carefully held out the paper, while the Flareon released a gentle Incinerate, the envelope catching fire.
They watched in silence as the letter burned, Alain setting it on the ground as the smoke drifted up into the air. Faith leaned back, watching it rise into the sky with a wistful look.
“There we go,” Alain said quietly. “I’m sure Mairin will be happy to have your letter.”
“Do they have fridges in heaven?” Faith asked quietly. “Because if they do I want Mommy to hang my drawing on it.”
Alain pulled her into a hug. “I know she’s going to treasure it. I’m sure she’s looking down on us right now.”
“...I miss Mommy,” Faith whispered quietly.
“I miss her too, Faith, I miss her every single day,” Alain whispered. “And I know she misses us as well.”
“But we don’t have to worry,” She said, leaning her head back to look up at her father. “Because Vaya and Mom have each other so they aren’t alone. Just like how I have you.”
Alain blinked, and for a moment he didn’t reply, just looking down at his daughter. Then he wrapped his arms tightly around her, bringing her into a tight embrace, placing a kiss on her forehead. Faith leaned up against him, humming a small song as he held her.
“...Have I been a good father, Faith?” Alain asked quietly.
“The best,” She replied with a nod, before tilting her head to the side. “You’ve asked me that before– how come?”
He knew that this hadn’t been the first time he had asked her such, and he knew it wasn’t going to be the last. He pulled her out of the hug, looking into her eyes as he sat her in his lap. It was a question he asked himself everyday, a fear he constantly lived with. Because just like Faith, he too had lost his mother. And just like Faith, he had only been left with his father.
And Alain’s greatest fear was him becoming like that horrible man.
He brushed her dark hair out of her face. “Because, Faith, I only want the best for you.”
“I want the best for me too,” She said.
Alain smiled softly, before again looking at the grave of his wife and daughter. He had never been able to say goodbye to Mairin, she had been wheeled away into another part of the hospital as quickly as possible in an attempt to save her. He had never been able to hold his youngest child, who had been a stillborn. They had been hoping to bring home another member of their family that day, but instead they had lost two.
Faith was all he had left, and his little girl had become the center of his life. She was the light of his day, his only hope in this dark world. She was the reason he got out of bed each day, and pulled himself through work so he could be there when she got home. She was the one thing that never failed to make him smile, even when there was a time he thought he would never be able to again.
“Faith, I love you,” Alain said softly.
“I love you too!” She responded right away, that wonderful smile on her face. Her eyes lit up, an idea crossing her mind. “Hey, Dad, can we get a treat tonight?”
“No treats until after dinner,” He said. “You know that.”
“...Can we buy a treat to have after dinner?” She asked, looking up at him hopefully. He stared into her amber eyes, before letting out a sigh.
“Of course, sweetie,” He said, and with that he pushed himself to his feet, his little girl in his arms.
“Goodbye Mommy!” Faith called, peering over his shoulder and back at the gravestone. “Bye-bye Vaya! We’ll come visit you again real soon.”
Alain looked at the white gravestone as well. “...Goodbye.”
He lifted Faith up onto his shoulders, who giggled happily at this action. Kade and Lucas followed behind Alain as they headed out of the cemetery, the two Pokemon glancing back behind them as they walked. Alain kept his eyes locked straight ahead, his arms carefully holding his daughter in place as they left.
Faith began chattering away excitedly, unaware of the tears streaming down her father’s face.

To avoid pokémon spamming (and because I don’t know why but tumblr is eating my asks) I’ve condensed all pokémon asks I’ve gotten recently into this post:
If Scorbunny evolved into a fire/fighting type how mad would you be?
Coming from someone who has chosen the water starter since Gen 1, it would even be disappointing for me at this point. I wouldn’t be mad so much as annoyed for the likes of my brother and one of my best friends who both always seem to choose the fire starter and would be yet again given the same formula while the others get more variety.
If you could recolor any shiny which would it be?
I’m honestly not very familiar with shinies, I don’t shiny hunt or anything but i have come across some; there seems to be a weird obsession with making shinies various uncomplimentary shades of green so I’d probably blanket change those ones to look better.
Am I a good pokémon? - Shuckle
All pokemon are the goodest... but when I first encountered Shuckle I thought maybe it was a prevolution of Lapras and was a bit disappointed and then felt relieved when I caught it and inferred from its typing that it was not part of the Lapras line. So... there’s that.
Which Gen 8 pokemon is your favorite so far?
Wooloo and Corviknight probably, but they all look good so far!
Do you like Mudkips?
I love all the water starters, but if I was ranking them, Mudkip wouldn’t be at the top, just because I was poor and never had Ruby or Sapphire.
Are you a boy or a girl? - Professor Oak
He did use to ask that in game didn’t he, very, very weird question.
If you could delete any pokemon forever who would it be?
Probably one of the ones I can’t remember right now, for that exact reason.
Megas, Zs or Dynamaxing?
Depends on the lore behind them, that will sell it the most for me. I’m not a fan of Z moves tbh megas are okayish. I’m hoping dynamaxing will be a good compromise for the gimmicks and normal game play and at least have some cool lore behind it.
If you were creative director, where in the world would you base the next pokemon region?
I probably would have chosen Hawai’i or a Pacific Island based area tbh but since we have just had Alola I’ll go for some other ideas. I’d love to see a region based on Hong Kong or maybe a Transylvania style region.
For a future return to Alolan style island hopping, the Caribbean would be cool.
Thoughts on Dexxit?
I originally thought this was something to do with Denmark leaving the EU and was like, surely not... i’m guessing it’s to do with the national pokedex not being in Gen 8 though.
Honestly it doesn’t bother me, I understand a lot of people will be upset about it but I understand the reasoning and tbh I think it will be a lot of forgettable or missable pokemon that don’t make it in.
They can be patched in later which would add replayability or even be balanced out by the Diamond and Pearl remakes.
Why is gen 4 so freakin awesome?
It did bring us some all time greats.
Piplup and Empoleon are some of my favourites in general and I actually did a replay with Turtwig which is the first time I’ve not used a water starter. (For Red and Blue my brother and I cheated so we could play with all three starters at once.)
How triggered are you right now about sword and shield? Do you think it could impact future games?
What I’ve seen of them I actually really like. As far as the “not every pokemon will be available” revelation, I think that’s been something game freak have been thinking about for a very long time, it was part of their reticence to reach 1000 pokémon. This game just happened to be the the one they had to introduced it in. I think the games going forward will also have this limited pokédex from now on too, until the eventual release of an ALL XXXX Pokémon game.
What is your favourite Eevee Evaluation?
Vaporeon.
What gen 8/Galar Eeveelution(s) are you hoping for?
Honestly any would be cool as long as the design is well done. I’ve heard steel, ground and even dragon are likely this time around.
Are you active on pokemon go/ what is your highest CP/IV?
I would describe my pokemon go playing as extremely casual.
If you could live in any pokemon city and region which would it be and why?
I always loved Cerulean city from Kanto, it’s by the sea, the pokémon daycare, Bill’s lighthouse/lab, Cerulean Cave and it has the Cerulean sisters/water gym, but that will probably change when I see the Galar region tbh because it’s HOME!!
Which pokemon would be your “pikachu” if you lived in the pokeworld?
I like to think it would be someone quite cool like Lapras, Mismagius or Skarmory but it would probably be, like, Slowbro.
