A sketch that I hope to polish into a complete illustration, but if not, then at least you guys get to see the second draft! I really just wanted to make something that does a few different things:

Include Scout's scattergun. That thing is hefty, it's like half the size of his freakin' torso! I just wanna see more art with him having/using it; makes him look dangerous and I love it.

felt like making another scoutpauling pic, even if it's lowkey.

I kinda hope to be the person who adds a different flavor to their dynamic, cause most of what I see is the whole "girlboss and her guyfail bf" dynamic. And while I like that dynamic, I like imagining them both being super competent just in different ways, like a Yin/Yang sorta deal. When one has a shortcoming, the other can pick up the slack.

And what better way to show that then them on a reconnaissance mission together!

I had a dream with Vasco and Machete last night, I don't remember all details, but I do remember people talking about Machete being some sort of fallen angel or something. I even saw flashes of his angelic form in between, I'll have to draw those when I get back home. It was both scary and delightful.

#aaa that sounds so poetic #and epic #and cool #you're having way nicer dreams than I do #???#answered #salem-lunaris #earlier this week I had an apocalyptic dream where earth was about to blow up and I thought “oh geez I have to warn The Dogs"#so I went to their house and this time their decor was oddly grandmacore sorta pastel and vintage and well worn #I can't recall what we talked about but Machete had just started some new meds or had some procedure done to him #he wasn't feeling himself his pupils were freakishly blown out and he couldn't walk or talk properly so they weren't planning to evacuate #Vasco dropped me off to the spaceship airport (his car was yellow)#but first we got some shady alien takeout that looked like red plastic straws and ping pong balls in a yellow toy bucket #we hugged and I boarded the dingy spaceship #and then the dream morphed into a vague retelling of that Raised by Wolves series #I felt bad about leaving them behind knowing they would get smashed to smithereens later that day

I have never entered a fandom before that wasn’t already pretty much dead, meaning most of the best and longest fic had already been written. Coming into F1 now when landoscar is so so new and has so much potential is so weird and delightfully exciting, like Ive devoured pretty much all the fic already but I keep remembering this is literally only the beginning! You guys are all so so so talented and I’m so excited to see what you come up with, if I wasn’t so busy with school I might actually try and write a little, but my skills best serve me in the fanart arena. In celebration of the best holiday to exist, I'm gonna share some of my favorite shark facts!! (I have a lot of favorite shark facts.)

Sharks have no bones!! None! Nada! The only bones they have are their teeth. But Mal, what happened to their bones?? Idk buddy, we probably stole 'em or something.

Lemon sharks love getting pets and will even have favorite divers they seek out to get attention! If they see their diver giving attention to another shark, they can get jealous and try to chase the other shark away.

The largest Great White shark ever recorded is a female named Deep Blue! She is over 20ft long and weighs an estimated 2.5 tons!!

Sharks have been around for almost 455 million years!! That's why most of them are grumpy. They're just old :/

The smallest species of shark is smaller than the human hand. (Psst, it's the dwarf lantern shark.)

Sharks!! Can have!! Personalities!! Just like humans!! Some are confident and social, while others can be shy and cautious. There have been some sharks even found having anxiety!

Although sharks having AMAZING eye sight, scientists belive that sharks are mostly colorblind.

Sharks are continually shedding their teeth! Some sharks will shed over 20000 teeth in their lifetime!

Hammerhead sharks have binocular vision l, which means they can see 360 degrees!!

Humans don't taste good to sharks. I'm serious!! We really don't taste good to them. That's why most sharks just bite us and let go. We're nasty. (I wouldn't wanna eat us either)

Sharks are really, really cool creatures that don't deserve all the hate they get.

We depend on sharks to keep our oceans alive and healthy.

There are over 400 species of sharks. 75% of them are threatened with extinction.

But you can help!! Tell friends and family how awesome sharks are, and avoid buying products made with sharks.

You can advocate for the protection of sharks by signing petitions and calling your government officials and saying, "hey!! I'm a voter and I want sharks to be protected!"

he definitely has, for the most part, the 'kinda blank, unenthusiastic, uninterested' resting face, which i think a lot of people see as mean or rude, but that's just the lack of eyebrows i think, makes his eyes a lot more intense!!

holds the den den mushi really close to his heart. he probably spent a lot of time on marine bases so he saw them pretty regularly. i think he was at first curious, then after reading more about them smth just resonated and they've been one of if not his favorite creature since

long periods of time where he doesn't feel like really talking to anyone at length, which is kinda bad for the rev organization, but he has close friends who he shares administration with, like iva kuma and inazuma. he does like being involved and he thinks it's integral to be hands on, but he genuinely enjoys the mundane paperwork stuff they relegate to other members, like collecting newspapers clippings and searching into small time but sketch govt. officials

id say living w garp constantly made him have to mask all his social ineptitudes, plus making him realize very early on that he was Different and, to his father and the other people on base and ships, 'Wrong' in a way. he definitely feels better after the creation of the RA, and leaving all of that behind

he's on the quiet side, not speaking much (after realizing that when he did he was labeled as being 'offputting'), and i think given different circumstances he'd be way more outspoken, but i also think he doesn't mind being a more introspective person. his safe space is definitely his quarters and when he's by himself, and even then he mostly just chills out i think ^^

he's not as blunt as luffy in the sense of saying things he thinks without caring much, or denouncing things he doesn't agree with or thinks are stupid, but he's more questioning of everything- how and why it is the way it is, which i doubt the marines or his father liked.

if he did have any stims i think he'd gently sway with the wind and the leaves while out by the sea, its very soothing and calming. post having luffy he'd do that while facing the east ;;

if you're into dragodile, id say after meeting croco he'd have a special interest for sand, and have those multi colored little jars of it to give as gifts. post breakup he couldn't fully enjoy that hobby anymore, he probably tried to switch to leaf collecting since the wind carries over so many of them to him but it just wasn't for him.

another thing i think he could do is whistle if he's all by himself, like he's echoing the swirling winds <33

he's not photosensitive per say, but he dislikes bright things. but his son is the sun itself, and he loves him more than anything else. it'll always be luffy above himself in his heart, which makes his sacrifice oh him so much worse

i think he hates salt water, the way it messes with his hair and stings his eyes and leaves a bad taste and burns his nose- definitely a nono

little silly bonus, i think he'd have the time of his life riding the cloud bike things at skypiea
