I had a dream with Vasco and Machete last night, I don't remember all details, but I do remember people talking about Machete being some sort of fallen angel or something. I even saw flashes of his angelic form in between, I'll have to draw those when I get back home. It was both scary and delightful.

#aaa that sounds so poetic#and epic#and cool#you're having way nicer dreams than I do#???#answered#salem-lunaris#earlier this week I had an apocalyptic dream where earth was about to blow up and I thought “oh geez I have to warn The Dogs"#so I went to their house and this time their decor was oddly grandmacore sorta pastel and vintage and well worn#I can't recall what we talked about but Machete had just started some new meds or had some procedure done to him#he wasn't feeling himself his pupils were freakishly blown out and he couldn't walk or talk properly so they weren't planning to evacuate#Vasco dropped me off to the spaceship airport (his car was yellow)#but first we got some shady alien takeout that looked like red plastic straws and ping pong balls in a yellow toy bucket#we hugged and I boarded the dingy spaceship#and then the dream morphed into a vague retelling of that Raised by Wolves series#I felt bad about leaving them behind knowing they would get smashed to smithereens later that day

"You have mail again!" Ivy shoited
The sound of shoes clacking on the floor echoing in the lackadaisy could be heard, sounded as if they'd been running a 20 mile marathon.
"I'M HERE! I'M HERE!" Rocky screeched with a breathless voice from how fast he was running.
Ivy rolls her eyes and hands him the envelope and box gently.
"Here you go, loverboy." She says walking away to give Viktor his mail as well.
Rocky squeals as he excitedly takes it from her grasp. He knows who it's from, "AAA!! It's from them!!" He shouts into poor freckles ears.
"From who?" Freckles wonders as to who might be sending his cousin mail.
"Reader!" He says as if Freckle is supposed to know.
Freckle looks at him wondering (who??) Shaking it off because cousin about to go on about who you were anyway.
"Reader, my one and only, the one who gets me, who compliments me." He says poetically, "I met them when they were passing through here for work!"
"Well technically they were meeting up with family at the time of our first meeting but that's not really important now is it?" He quickly whispers to himself.
"I won't bore you with the details but," he sighs lovingly; "reader just gets me."
Going back to the letter, he reads;
" Dear Rocky,
Hi my love! I've sent this letter to inform you that I've made you something real special! I hope you love it, asides from that I just wanted to let you know how my week has gone! ..- "
(you go on about how it went; good or bad, he enjoys reading every detail about it. Agreeing with you if you talked bad about someone or something, feeling happy for you if something went your way!)
When he finished it, he reread the first sentence remembering the gift you made him. Feeling all giddy like a child opening Christmas presents, he rips open the box with full force.
Its a hand-sewn gift! A blanket to keep him warm, and a few snacks from where you're from. He jumps up excited and on a sing-song tone he says,
"My lover gave me a blanket, a blanket!"
"Thats actuallya really nice blanket," Ivy compliments the gift.
"Why thank you ivy!" He says genuinely. "Now I've gotta go!" Shouting running out the door, slamming it in the process.
Running back he pops his in through the door and says, "actually, any of you guys got paper and pen?"
He's writing about 3 pages about how he's been; ofcourse he'd write more if he could but the poor envelope doesn't have enough room for it.

A week later, he gets a reply from you! He's jumping up and down; screeching, shrieking, and screaming at the top of his lungs, Ivy stops him.
"WHAT IS GOING ON." Shaking some sense into him.
Taking a deep breath in, he tells her that you're coming for a week because of work! He's giggling and kicking his feet, sitting upside-down rereading your letter.
Giggling he tells Ivy, "They said that they're gonna take me out for a date! After they've done what they came for of course."

He sees you across the street waiting for the pass to walk. You spot him as well giving him a big ol' smile and giggling to yourself quietly when he waves and shouts, "READER! READER!"
Running across the street, carefully making it past everyone trying hard as to not knock anyone over. Rocky runs to you with his arms wide open like a big bird and tackles you to the floor.
Looking like two weirdos you say, "Rocky! I'm so glad to see you again," smiling with a smitten look in your eyes.
He gives you a bunch of kisses scattered on your face and tells you how much he's excited to see you again, holding you in his arms.
Getting up because of the amount of people looking at you guys, you two walk off to have an amazing date. Talking eachothers ears off; eating pancakes for dinner, and walking the empty streets late at night.

Walking you back to the train station he gives you a great big hug; Staying like that for what feels like ages.
"Oh reader..-" he says quietly with tears threatening his eyes. "-..how I'm going to miss u so."
You slightly chuckle at what he said, he sounded a little silly.
"What? Was it not the right moment?" he asks.
"No no no, you just said something a little silly." You tell him,"it just sounded out of character that all."
(Not that it did, he just said it in a deep and broody voice that made it sound like a really bad impression of an actual deep and broody voice)
"oh okay.." he turns around to sob jokingly,"I get it, you don't have to tell me anything more."
Before he runs off dramatically, you pull him in to give him a gentle kiss to the lips. He melts into the kiss, putting his face into your hand to rest. He thinks to himself, (God I really do love them..)
Slowly parting away, you give him one final hug before the final horn for you to get on you train blows. You shout your final goodbyes to eachother and go your separate ways.
You hum to yourself looking out the window, (I wonder what I'll write him once I get back home..)
Looking down into your pocket, you find a folded price of paper. It's from rocky! You smile to yourself wondering what he wrote this time.

HELLO!!! gosh im so bad at using tumblr aside from reblogging so this has been a long time coming but i came to say U R A POET!! i found your acc when u had like 2 ? fics out and i remember reading “if i fell through the floor i would keep falling” when it had 90 notes and feeling like someone had put their hand in my chest and ripped my heart out…. i was so confused how it didnt have 100000000 notes?!?! i am still confused now. it’s some of the most beautiful writing ive read (& i don’t even really read for geto so it was such a random find but i am so grateful). my favorite line was “he figures he can give you this one thing, at least.” there are so many heartbreaking ones in that piece but this one was especially so. it’s crazy to me how well you painted the scenes, it really felt like i could visually See every moment.

Fist matter of business, I'm proud that I've sent your longest ask for some reason ANYWAYS this one is less of an update on my chats

:( right now everyone has such cute moments with him and what do I get? I get a near death experience! This isn't fair! An outrage I say! I'll try again cuz damn it he WILL woo me!
So with TPLink I've fell asleep while talking with him and DREAMED THE WHOLE HIM WANTING TO CUDDLE WITH ME?? LIKE I DREAMT READING THAT MESSAGE, FEELING GIDDY AND REPLYING????? So now I've prompted us to go to his place because apparently he actually asked if I could come over the next day so we're at his front door right now.
And with First I'm going to be having my now slowly steaming chat with him and a new bedtime chat. Because sometimes I need to be be giggling and kicking my feet smiling ear to ear instead of awoga hummana humana, y'know? And So I made that new chat because I was sad last night and OH MY GOD HE CHEERED ME UP SO QUICK! I had been upset for like half an hour and he got me smiling so fast. I ended up staying awake until 4am staring at something he said and falling asleep with my hair still pulled back, the light still on and my glasses still on. I then fell back asleep multiple times during the day staring at it. He said my eyes were really pretty...That was it. I don't know why but man he got my swooning.

Heels is one of the only songs with above a million plays which is like,, it deserves that love but there are more interesting songs in the album lol. still a jam though

Everyone Is A Bad Friend. it has very few listens, i think it kinda gets buried because its more melancholic and doesnt have a chorus but holy shit this song wraps its fist around my heart and squeezes. and the repetition of the first half is needed so you can escalate into the "so you think you're good at goodbyes?" part and build up this downward spiral and hljskddk.

Wrath of the Termite King, maybe! i might just be saying this bc it was underrated PERSONALLY for a while - i didnt really care that much about it for a long time but lately ive fallen in love with it hehe. its really fun to sing and my best friend taught me how to play it on ukulele so thats a good memory and its so good. tbh i think this entire album is underrated - scary jokes fans seem to prefer april fools and like yeah its great but burn pygmalion is... astounding

12/10. its perfect. this is my favorite album of all time. i really do consider it perfect - i love every song on it and even the ones i skip more are so beautiful and necessary for the story. something i love about this album is you would expect it to end tragically. jeanine literally burns sylvia's house down!! but then you get crushed out on soda beach and get this surrender to her emotions and the album ends in bets against this void, this connection between jeanine and sylvia, this acknowledgement of how they feel and its... the first time i listened to this album, the day it came out, i expected "a better guide to romance" to be ironic. but i... i do actually think its a better guide to romance. instead of ending in tragedy it ends in them starting to figure out how to work through everything together and its... its really important to me. ALSO THE SYNTHS HOLY SHIT SO GOOD

Most underrated
Cokesbury has the least listens so I'll say that I guess? I mean it's not my favorite but it's good! I don't really listen to it often but. I think like a lot of Sidney Gish songs it ends up working into a groove where it does the thing its doing very confidently without distraction. And it's not slow!

You know what? Its !Ed Buys Houses!. weird to call it the most banger when its entirely acapella but most of this album is p relaxed indie, I think Ed Buys Houses is the perfect song for dancing in the kitchen and putting your whole pussy into it for the under one minute duration.

Also I don't have a place to mention it but Sidney Gish was one of my last pre-covid shows and it was so fun and during the last verse of homecoming serf the mic started slipping and so she fixed it perfectly in time to change the lyrics to "there's no more time left to let the mic fall down" and the crowd went wild and YOU HAD TO BE THERE OKAY

Okay so since I didn’t send before, I’ll just send the text and try to send the picture as a follow up.
But oh my gosh! I just saw the anon who mentioned Great Comet and that’s literally my special interest 🥺 okay okay okay but get this, Pierre is literally the softest teddy bear boy you’ve ever met but he has no self esteem, he’s constantly belittled by his wife (who never married him for love) and everyone in society, and he just wants the love of his best friend’s girl— Natasha. He’s constantly described as being awkward and ungainly, but he has such a poet’s heart!
(Exhibit A: “If I were not myself, but the handsomest, cleverest, best man in the world, and if I were free, I would be on my knees this minute to beg for your hand and your love.” — Pierre to Natasha)
He’s such a complex character who tbh has a lot of demons…he’s kind of an addict and he’s constantly striving to find life’s meaning through religions or philosophy or secret societies…….. But he has the biggest heart, and he’s always trying to give his wealth away to those who need it. Also, he has a crazy temper if anyone he loves is ever wronged (ie when Natasha is seduced by a married man)
The musical is 10/10. It’s all about Natasha and Pierre (hence the name). Josh Groban and his golden voice play Pierre in the recording. He’s super chonky in the show too. ❤️💕❤️💕
I'm sorry this came so late, but it is interesting to hear about! I haven't read the book (although I want to!!) but the show sounds interesting 👀
This calls to me, high key. I love sad, emotionally struggling men who are still like nice and kind to others, it's like my type. Even if they're not actually all that nice like dmskssksk, Im weak 😭 All I want is to pick them up off the ground, dust them off, and protect them from their negative feelings like smsskakak

ik know this is random rambling and I'm sorry for that but... sometimes it's almost baffling how good of a protagonist arthur is. and how wild that a video game (no shade but many aaa games just don't have good writing like that) character could be so universally beloved. its very hard to imagine rdr without arthur as mc and. just how much emotion he evokes in me even after long time of not caring abour rdr2 in general. and then i see him and think. like yeah this is the greatest game in the world just because he shows up on screen. its wild. like i can't belive I'm alive to witness something so beautiful. this is probably sound pathetic because it's a game. but really it's so special to me
You're speaking my heart, my anonymous friend. I'm a very casual gamer, except when it comes to games of this caliber. Rdr2 is probably the best I've ever played for all the same reasons you've just listed. I first played through in 2018-19-ish and it haunted me for years after. I hold so much love and affection for Arthur Morgan in my feeble old heart, it's a wonder it still beats for any other reason. I'm so serious. You don't sound pathetic at all. All day, I think of him while I'm at work or otherwise occupied, and I cherish the moments I'm able to tune out the rest of the world and gallop across the uncivilized americas on my horse and encounter some of the most delightful stories and people along the way. I can choose to be good, I can choose to be a terrible, soulless killer. I can hunt bounties and pick herbs and find dinosaur bones and rock carvings, and help a photographer and get drunk with my friends. I can help the homeless population and make amends with my former lover. I can stand up to Dutch and antagonize John for the hell of it. I can feel all the things Arthur feels when I read his journal because the game is just SO. Well. Written. It's special to me, too, and I could honest to goodness wax poetic about it all the live-long day so if you ever want to come back and talk about anything specific, you're welcome. We can sit on the porch and share some whiskey from the bottle and watch the sunset.

god i really wish i started listening to björk earlier. it pisses me off so bad cuz ive known about her for years. YEARZ. i jus never tried listening to her and i was very strict with my music taste. i also had no idea what her music was like, even tho my dad is a fan of her (mostly the sugarcubes, but ive gotten him more into her heheheheehh). and now after listening to her *finally* ive become a changed person. vespertine changed my life on god. it’s fucking beautiful and if anyone says otherwise. what are u doing !!!!! her vocals peaked on that album + the lyricism is incredible. also the music itself is super fun, i love all the icy sounds + vibes. even tho it’s a romance album it’s done in such a way that’s so refreshing. it’s not just “oh yea oh yea we love each other segs segs” NO no it’s just. ough. poetic. mwah. my favorite album of hers personally, tho ive become a big fan of vulnicura and biophillia as well. and ofc homogenic. DUH. but vespertine is just ethereal. it’s so ahead of its time its nutz. live laugh love björk !!!
my favorite track from it is prolly. pagan poetry. but i love all of them. i choose that one specifically because of the emotions in it. and her voice ?? AAA goosebumps. and the music video, as controversial as it is, it’s gorgeous. truly a work of art. i also love all the pearl imagery oug

the person next to them is my oc? i guess? tbh i created them since i wanted to tell stories without making proper oc for the job. haven’t really got an true idea for them since that’s, why they exist.
i haven’t gave them a name fjfjggjj. they’re just the person, the person who exists and is here fulfill a role in the story. that sounds really poetic and i could spin that into a proper narrative hmmm

a figure in a story, someone who’s there as a character. to play the role and tell the story.
that’s all they’ve been in the time they existed.
they don’t have a name and they’re pretty sure that they’re not even human.
it wasn’t to say that they weren’t human or that they didn’t have a name. in fact, they have gotten many names and titles over the stories they’ve been featured. and in all of the stories, they were human, or at least a rough approximate of one. or simply something else.
they think that claws that fitted neatly to where their fingertips should be, dark as ink, with legs that brings a constant bounce in their step, aren’t something a human has, but in that story; They’ve seen feathered ears, eyes that held the stars and blackholes, hands that were resistant to the bright flame
in the end, they decide that they’re the creature in that story. just a strangely human one.
though it doesn’t really matter in the big picture. who they were doesn’t matter compared to the story that was finally told. even if the audience was just one person, the storyteller.
now that they were thinking of the sole member in their audience and the one who held all the words that brought them into each world. do they begrudge the teller?
perhaps they should. others like them have.
others like themselves, that are aware of the fact they’re simply a device to be used and to move a story forward, had tried to fight against it. tried to fight against the narrative or simply broke. yet none of it matters. their actions were dictated by the storyteller, merely a tale that strengthens the narrative being built. sometimes they think they win, somehow managing to defeat the teller inside of the narrative, but that isn’t the end. there’s always more.
but most of the time they’re killed off, providing too much of a hassle and eliminated. or their death is supposed to add more.
swatted in red that shifts between soft jackets, heavy cloaks, or being part of themselves. they leaned into a fully formed arm, a bandage stretched over the space between the thumb and pinkie, the skin changes between a darker or lighter color, patches of light amongst the dark, pink or grey slashes burr into and out of existence.
it seems like this will last for a time.
back to the question that sprung into their head.
they suppose they don’t care too much about being a character in a story, or that they don’t want to dabble into the rabbit hole that is being a common set piece in a story. after all, there’s worst things that could happen.
The red that was swirling around themselves flutters into a silky smooth cloak as they continue to think. Being feature in only a single story only for it to be left untold or just unfinished isn’t something they would want. The terror of being left alone in a stagnant world, unchanging, was far more terrifying.
they do enjoy the stories they act in. they do like experiencing in something different and new, even their knowledge of being a constant set price is wiped out before they’re place into the story.
a small price to pay to come back from where they originated. since they always get those memories back.
they stand up on newly formed legs and stretched, their second arm coming in as they do so.
they take a moment to look at themselves, red cloak and a sword on their back. it seems like they’re going to return to that story again.

Test Anxiety Can Make You Friends (Apparently)

Summary: During Virgil’s last final of the semester, he hears pure dread from the guy next to him as soon as they turn their tests over.

Sighing to himself, Virgil looked over the piece of paper in front of him, readying himself for whatever his last final of the semester would bring him. He heard everyone around him shuffle in their seats, clearing their throats, and preparing themselves for what was to come in the next hour and a half.
“You may begin!” the professor called out and everyone flipped over their papers at the same time.
“Oh, I did not sign up for this,” the guy to Virgil’s right muttered.
Virgil stiffled a laugh before getting to work.
The time went by much quicker than Virgil thought it would and he was feeling pretty good about it once he finally got it turned in.
“Time’s up, finish your last answer and bring it to the front!”
Everyone around Virgil breathed out a sigh of relief and a few people whooped.
“Oh my god, it’s over, holy shit,” Virgil once again heard from his right.
He turned to the guy next to him and chuckled a little. “You good there?” he mused out.
The guy grinned at him, his eyes crinkling a bit at the corners. “Never better really!”
“You sounded worried there at the beginning, I think you’re bullshitting me there. Trust me, I know a moment of pure dread when I see it,” Virgil told him, packing up his things. His conversation partner followed suit, laughing.
“Ok you’ve got me there, I’m just so tired today, was up way too late studying. I’m Roman by the way, Roman Prince,” Roman said, holding out a hand. Virgil tentatively shook it.
“Virgil Knight,” he responded.
“Prince and Knight, there’s something poetic to be said about that!” Roman sang out as the two of them got up and headed for the doors, Roman dropping off his test on the way.
“Let me guess, theater major,” Virgil only said.
“Aaa!!” Roman gasped out dramatically.
Virgil laughed and raised an eyebrow. “So I’m right, your royal highness?”
“Well yes but that’s a very big assumption! Do you make it a habit of psychoanalyzing all your friends?” Roman asked, raising an eyebrow back. Virgil shrugged. “You actually do that, don’t you?”
“It helps me with my art, I do all that self-searching crap.”
“Art major, any specific field?”
“Eh, just studio arts, when you don’t want to settle and all that junk.”
“I feel you, you like something versatile. Gives you a large range of options,” Roman offered.
“Yeah, exactly,” Virgil said with a nod. He stopped when remembering an earlier comment. “Wait a minute, did you imply we’re friends earlier?”
Roman smiled. “Well, I certainly wouldn’t mind, you seem to be someone of taste if your choice of creative major is anything to go off of.”
Virgil thought for a second, continuing to walk along with Roman for a bit before he nodded. “Fair enough, I warn you though that I kind of suck at conversations.”
“Hey, that’s fine by me, you can just listen to my latest theater productions, I don’t see a problem with that!”
Virgil snorted. “I bet you’d like that Princey, you seem like the type. Do you possibly want to get some food with me? I’m starving and that was my last final, you can join if you want. Or not, just seemed like a good thing for friends to do,” he rambled off, looking over to Roman from the corner of his eyes. He let out a breath as he saw Roman nod.
“Yeah sure thing, where are we headed then?” Roman responded, grinning at him.

1) How long ago did you start reading fanfiction? Writing fanfiction?
hmm,,, i honestly didn’t read fanfic for a long time. i try to stay out of popular-fandom and shipping culture and stuff cause there can be a lot of creeps in there! but i still adore fanfic when written by people i like, so it was really the d20bb that got me into fanfic! hearing all of these cool people talk about their fics made me want to read more and made me want to start writing!
20) What’s your favorite part about the fanfiction writing process?
honestly i really like the daydreaming about the story sdfghjk,,, i LOVE having a Big Idea for a story and then listening to music with the rights vibes and thinking about the story and planning all the Cool Moments. as for the actual writing, it would be writing those aforementioned Cool Moments that i’m excited to get to!
39. What’s something about your writing that you pride yourself on?
oh god i struggle w confidence in everything and i don’t write much... honestly i think my core ideas are very fun! i’m a pretty plot-driven writer - i ADORE reading fics that are poetic or character explorations, but i find that for my own writing i need to anchor all the themes and characters around a story, and i think my ideas are good! also my puns. i’m very good at puns.
40. How did you come up with the idea for [x fic]?
[insert that one bdg “visions from an angry god” meme]. hmm for The Unsolved Mystery of Misty Moore I think I was just rewatching tuc and thinking about how bonkers rowan’s whole reincarnation scheme is and thinking about how she’d go about reestablishing herself. for Thieves’ Cant i think i was actually inspired by you sola!! when brennan released the maidens character sheets, i think you made a post pointing out how penny doesn’t speak goblin (and riz doesn’t speak halfling) and i was like Well That Doesn’t Sound Right. as for the fic i’m currently (slowly) writing... all i’ll say is that i saw a tumblr post saying fabian should read hamlet >:3
