In a Fantasy AU vaguely inspired by tangled (I say vaguely bc it's got some elements, but not all of them yk?) Wriothesley is a master thief, who always snags whatever he sets his mind on. You, on the other hand, are the only child of the king and queen, and the sole heir to the throne. You're kept strictly within the castle and forbidden from leaving since you had been kidnapped once as a child, and your parents fear that happening to you again. You used to despise it, being locked up, but over the years you've grown to accept it (not necessarily like it, you've just stopped trying to escape the castle every so often.)

Now, Wriothesley plans to steal your crown, the heir's crown to the kingdom, as his biggest heist yet. So he sneaks past the guards one night, gets into the palace and even manages to sneak up to your room. He's so close— so close!— to getting his hands on the heir's crown, but there's one thing that he overlooks. Because no one in the kingdom has seen you, and information on you is so limited, there's no way for him to have known that you possess a dendro vision. So taking him by surprise, you manage to knock him out and tie him up in vines and flowers. When he wakes up, you manage to broker a deal with him: He wants your crown, right? Well, you have no use for the thing. Not really. To you, it's just a reminder that you're destined to be trapped and lonely for the rest of your life. So you'll give it to him— on the condition that he takes you to see the lantern rite festival in the nearby kingdom of Liyue.

And though its far, though his pride stings at being caught by some recluse of a royal, what choice does he really have? Refuse, and be caught by the guards? Not a chance. So he agrees to your terms and sneaks you out of the tower and leads you into town, where you see the world for the first time.

From there, it's a whole journey navigating from Fontaine to Liyue with you— but you get there just in the nick of time for the lantern rite to start. He brings you around, lets you sample food with glittering eyes, lets you buy fabrics and nicknacks, and pays with his own money. Wriothesley even manages to rent out a quaint pagoda with a balcony, where you can watch the festivities and the lanterns glow across the harbour. There, he basks along the railing with you, eating skewers and fried rice, letting the music and cheer put him at ease. As he talks to you, listens to you ramble on and on about how beautiful the place is and how you'd love to come back one day, Wriothesley finds that he no longer cares about getting his hands on that crown. All he cares about now is the flush on his face and the realization that somewhere, across the way from Fontaine to Liyue, you had managed to steal his heart.

Furina saving Fontaine twice. once by playing the part of archon, and now by being a sub for the most unhinged dom she could possibly find.

that is the face of a woman who WILL start torturing people for fun if she doesn't get to make her wife cry (consensually) in bed enough times a week.

I really hope we get to see Kaeya in Fontaine. I need to see that man acting on stage FOR REAL for real. It's making me wonder what the timeline is for the visitors of the Veluriyam Mirage cause it would be so cool to see Zosimos there doing his thing and living out his dream and then meeting up with him + some of the other peeps who joined the traveler in bottleland (specifically Kaeya but it'd be cool too if it were one of the others).

I'm not sure how long ago each person (Zosimos, the brothers, Maymunah) originally entered the bottle domain but I would love to see a nod to them even if it's dialogue that implies they died 50 years ago or smth. If we ever hear about a Fontainian playwright who made a story about a magic bottle and a bandit then I will scream. (Not sure if the aquabus has anything to do with the brothers and their railway system)

But also if Zosimos is still alive I can totally imagine him approaching Kaeya and asking if anyone had ever considered him as a leading role for a performance. Kaeya's just like 'Well, yes actually.'

Man, we're already in 4.3 but my mind is still in bottleland.

Just finished the fontaine archon quests (took me forever i know) and im thinking about how fate and prophecy played out in it versus how it may play out for kaeya hmm

jing yuan seems so sad and distant and lonely, especially watching his closest friends fall apart again and again....he's in so much anguish. it makes me wonder how he's still holding it together. how is he not completely broken yet like all his old friends...he must be really strong.

- the oratrice has to play a role in furina's plan to save fontaine. the original sin committed by egeria is probably what furina, as the hydro archon, is being sentenced to. could there be a way for furina to "separate" herself, sentencing part of herself to death and entrusting the future of fontaine's justice to another? (i'm still stuck in the three thrones so fragmentation of the self is something i think has been hinted at) could this mean the end of the oratrice itself?

- neuvillette looked like he was hovering above the entire city while using his powers. we know he doesn't have his full sovereign powers so if he is the one stopping the flooding, what power is he using? could he be making use of the hydro gnosis?

- the oratrice has been accumulating energy and power as a means to an end, it converts fontaine's people's belief in justice into indemnitium. could this be the power that will save the nation?

- remember nicole's quote after scaramouche deleted himself from the irminsul? "unfortunately, the fate of teyvat cannot easily be changed. perhaps a god may have a slim chance, but for anyone else... who can say. [...] history does not change easily, but human hearts can. believe your own eyes. only that which you see is true. what is unseen is but an illusion." this ties with the themes of fontaine a bit to well for it not feel like some sort of foreshadowing. nicole also appears in the trailer saying" the prophecy... yes, what has been prophesized will be fullfiled." coincidence? i don't think so. arlecchino and furina constantly talk as if everything is teatrichal and the name of this quest masquerade of the guilty also implies a false show. do i know what this means exactly? no. but you can't tell me this isn't big and related to the way atonement will be reached regarding the sin tainting fontaine and it's people.
