This may be a little harsh but please bear with me. I have no idea if you will decide to post this Gina. But I believe it needs to be said. I think some people tend to overlook that their opinion about “Larry” is trivial. Their personal lives aren’t defined by what you believe or not. It’s not their job to prove things to you. We all view them as really important people in our lives but remember they do not know us. You believe they’re together or you don’t. Things don’t need to be overanalyzed. If you’re constantly trying to prove THEIR relationship to yourself maybe you should second guess having an opinion at all?? I understand it can be frustrating sometimes because of the denials that people will disagree with you. It’s unfair in someways. But what we do see of their personal lives isn’t the full picture. They’re boundaries that are constantly crossed by media and us as fans shouldn’t stoop that low. The questions having to deal with his personal life would make anyone uncomfortable. Especially because we know they value privacy. I feel like maybe some people think that h&l “owe” them in someways because they do believe they’re together and put a lot of themselves into their opinion. But their relationship shouldn’t be impacting YOUR life. That is not healthy. We can honestly enjoy h&l separately without having to tie their irl relationship into the equation. Everything they do and say doesn’t have to be connected to the other. I really think most people have good intentions but sometimes it’s exhausting. Please take care of yourself choose what you believe and live your life. Who knows if they will ever feel comfortable sharing their relationship with the public eye or if they ever will. Believing they’re together can coincide with accepting things may never change. And constantly choosing to defend rather than accept isn’t going to get you anywhere.

Minkowski would be so intense about introducing Eiffel and Hera and Lovelace to any of her loved ones back on Earth. She makes the crew sit through a PowerPoint presentation on suitable topics of conversation to discuss with her mother. She gives Dominik a folder of detailed guidance about how to interact with Hera because he's never met an AI before. She asks Eiffel several days beforehand if he has decided what he's going to wear to meet her family, as though Eiffel has ever in his life put thought into an outfit more than 30 seconds before getting dressed.

She tries to control every parameter of the interaction in a way that actually makes it more uncomfortable for everyone involved. She spends the entire time sitting right on the edge of her chair, looking anxiously between each of these people she cares about, trying to tell whether they are getting on, and attempting to communicate with them individually through urgent expressions.

And of course it doesn't work. Eiffel puts his foot in his mouth. Dominik is confused and curious about all the wrong things. Minkowski dares to leave the room for a few minutes and when she comes back, her mother is showing the crew her baby photos, and Minkowski knows she'll never live this down.

They're sitting in silence, researching ways to capture and contain a giant magical snake - the chamber of secrets had been briefly considered before Fred pointed out that it hadn't done a whole lot of containing - when Draco says, "My mother asked me if I'm interested in a political marriage."

"You're sixteen!" George protests, and doesn't say the first thing that comes to mind through sheer force of will.

"That's why she brought it up. I'm the age when to start thinking of these sort of things. I told her that the current political climate made it a disadvantageous time to make new alliances." He pauses. "I don't make decisions lightly. Once I've decided to do something, I do it."

"I'm well aware of that," George says dryly, gesturing around them. They're working to defeat Voldemort - and weirdly getting further than any of the adults seem to - all because Draco made a snap decision one day and stuck to it.

Draco raises an eyebrow.

George softens. "I don't make choices lightly either."

Draco smiles, meeting his gaze as a comfortable tension stretches between them. Then he flattens his lips into a line before saying, "Good," and focusing back on his book.

When this is all over, George looks forward to telling his mother he's marrying a Malfoy. Hopefully that'll distract from the sneaking around to kill Voldemort bit.

The fact that Donna Noble's season 4 fate (forgetting the Doctor) was foreshadowed 3 times. (The Unicorn and the Wasp, The library two parter, Turn Left) .

Sick and twisted.

But it does make feel season 4 feel especially thematically coherent and deep.

It's all about memories and identity and the connections between these two.

Let's also add the Ood episode. The Doctor compares the hind brain of the Ood to the amygdala (the part of the brain that processes memory and emotions) of humans. And the Oods get their hind brains cut off by the humans.

And there's the scene with Martha's clone in the Sontaran two parter where it's the fact that the clone has Martha's memories make her sympathize with and help Martha (and narratively humanize the clone).

It all adds up and results in a season that says again and again: memories are precious and make us who we are.

And then Donna gets her memories taken away. And it feels so devastating.
